I’m not quite sure how these two meeting up would go but I do know that it’d be something along the lines of Peter 3 being super impressed that Gwen’s in a band. He’d have a similar reaction he had when he thought that Peter 1 was in a band after Peter 1 brought up being an avenger. (So basically proud older brother vibes yk )
(And ofc there’d be some very heartfelt scene where they’d both mourn/talk about how in both their universes they couldn’t save each other-)
When Andrew’s Peter said that he stopped pulling his punches in No Way Home, it made me realize something. At the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Andrew’s Peter, hears Gwen’s graduation speech about hope and that inspired him to take up his responsibilities as Spider-Man again. Which is shown when he decides to confront Rhino. We can assume he won considering he’s older when he shows up and calls Rhino his craziest monster. However, I think he never truly recovered from the loss, and thinking about the ways he could have saved Gwen definitely broke him emotionally, so eventually it became hard to not let that rage take over. As a result, he stopped pulling his punches and became bitter. Saving MJ in No Way Home was a redemption for him, as he avoided Tom’s Peter going through what he did, but it also made him feel that in a way he had saved Gwen, he had truly learnt from his previous devastating mistake and made sure that it was not repeated again. That’s what makes that moment so heart braking and also makes us feel glad that he got a second chance to save someone in a similar position and he was finally able to do so.
when you think because you’ve already seen No Way Home in the theater, that watching it a second time won’t be as emotionally devastating as the first.
So if Somehow The MCU MJ and Ned remember Peter with out him reminding them eventually. Do you think they will understand or be extremely pissed he didn’t keep his promise?
someone said “yeah peter broke his promise but the best promises are the ones you can’t keep” and i can’t stop thinking about it. if that logic applies to nwh and given that all peters sort of have the same way of thinking, would that imply that peter isn’t going to go back and tell mj and ned who he really is despite all the clues?? since it’s the “best outcome” hence “best promise that couldn’t be kept” since he broke it?
Tobey!Spiderman has such dad-energy that I legitimately hope he and MJ had a kid in his universe. Whether it’s preferably MayDay his daughter or Ben his son, I just hope one of them exists!
He’s such a caretaker to both of the alternate Spider-men! He talks to Andrew with such concern when he’s getting down on himself, dissuades his negative self-talk and assures him of his worth. He’s patient with Tom, understanding of his rage and desire for revenge but firm in the plan they’re making (curing Osborn too, like all the others). And when Tom is in danger of crossing that line and taking that revenge, he steps in to stop him. He doesn’t take the glider away, doesn’t fight him for it, he just holds it back and looks him in the eye. Not with anger or disappointment, but with a look of pure empathy.
Ideally, a parent’s job is to support and love their child, but to set limits and pull them back when they’re in danger of getting in over their heads. To be there for them when they make mistakes or when they need help, to teach them lesson’s where they can and to try and shape them into being good and decent people. I don’t know, I can just totally picture Tobey being a dad in his universe. Taking all the experience he’s gotten from raising his own kid and being there for his younger alternate selves in that same way.
Uncle Ben was his father figure. Now Tobey!Spiderman gets to BE the father figure. And it’s beautiful! 😭
My toxic trait is that I believe that instead of going to Dr Strange to brainwash everyone into forgetting him, Peter should have talked to Karen Page because she would’ve been able to dig up the truth without destroying the multiverse in the process lol
Something that I will never be able to understand is how Peter Parker’s vision got better after he got his spider powers. Like in the movies he wore glasses but then he got bit by that spider and all of the sudden he doesn’t need his glasses anymore? How the does that make sense. I mean after all spiders have like really crappy eyes, but yet when he got bit by that fucking spider his eye sight improved?! HOW THE HELL DOES THAT MAKE ANY GODDAMN SENSE?!?
Doctor Strange 2 was so much better than NWH. I said what I said.
But seriously even though the plot wasn’t entirely airtight it made so much more sense than NWH and actually created a really good film that wasn’t entirely fan service.
I do really love NWH but it just fell short of MoM for me tbh
The newest spider man really is the most unrealistic mcu movie to date. Like I’m sorry PETER but if my girlfriend ZENDAYA had forgotten who I was I wouldn’t have just cool guy walked out if that cafe with my coffee in hand is by on that dirty ass nyc street in my hands and knees CRYING, BEGGING, and THROWING UP
