Heyla! :) I'm in the Syracuse area and my understanding is that speidies are of Binghamton origin, so it's probably a CNY/81 corridor thing. I know the salt potatoes originated at the salt mines on Onondaga Lake lo these many, many moons ago. :) I ran away to the DC metro at one point and they were both absolutely unheard of at the time but with Wegmans expanding their territory maybe they have more visibility now? Anyway yay upstate specialties!

Hello :D Yeah, I grew up about an hour south-ish of Binghamton, so I can verify they've made it across the PA border. We're further into PA now, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're not "a thing" down here.

There was definitely an instruction from the Fox at one point to tone things down (I think maybe late S2?). SS kiss like an elderly couple lol. And I think there was a time slot change mid-S3 which explains the sudden frequency of sex scenes and Mischa being barely dressed. I find the random nudity so odd and unnecessary rewatching - it achieves nothing? It just feels rather callous on behalf of the writers IMO.

It does! I think in s2 SS have such good physical chemistry with one another but even after their reunion you don't get the feeling they're dying to jump in bed. The end of 3x18 is so fucking jarring and random for this show that hadn't shown sex in a long time. Like excuse me?? And you saying that about Mischa reminds me of someone saying that her mom was on set for her sex scene with Chris Carmack which the producers hated for reasons of holding back on the salacious nature. I just... ick.
