I think one thing people (including Fanny when she tries to insult Allison by saying she isn't "Living up to the family name") forget about Allison is that YES she is a Button. She is the Buttonest Button. And I do mean that in the fondest and most negative way possible. She is Francis's 7/8 times great-granddaughter. She is George's something-th cousin something-removed. And boy does she show it. There is a reason she gets along so well with Julian. She is every bit as ruthless, cunning, thoughtless, and reckless as the other Buttons. She will absolutely commit fraud, blackmail, lie or cheat to get what she wants. Like, she hasn't killed any innocents, but who knows? Maybe Allison just hasn't met the right innocent, standing in front of the right goal (I don't think she would, but idk). To be clear, I love her. It's just always interesting when she sees something she wants and gets that "I'll do anything for this" Button glint in her eye. Followed by Fanny (famous Button murder victim) howling that she is "disgracing the family" and no Button would act like that.
