नीलहरित शैवाल: खाद का बेहतर विकल्प

फसलों की पैदावार बढ़ाने में रासायनिक खादों का योगदान किसी से छिपा नहीं है. इन्हीं के इस्तेमाल से भारत में हरित क्रांति आई, लेकिन अंधाधुंध केमिकल खाद के इस्तेमाल से कई समस्याएं पैदा हुईं. दूसरी ओर खाद के मूल्यों में लगातार इजाफा हो रहा है. गोबर की खाद पूरी मात्रा में उपलब्ध नहीं हो पा रही है. इसीलिए कृषि वैज्ञानिक एक ऐसा विकल्प खोजने में लगे हैं, जो कम खर्च में ज्यादा मात्रा में पोषक तत्त्व मुहैया कराने में सक्षम हो.

क्या लाभ करता है नील हरित शैवाल

ऐसा एक विकल्प है नीलहरित शैवाल. इसे विशेषकर धान की फसल में इस्तेमाल करने से उत्पादन में काफी इजाफा हो जाता है, क्योंकि यह प्रकाश संश्लेषण के साथ नाइट्रोजन को मिट्टी में इकट्ठा करने की कूवत रखता है.धान का कम उत्पादन मिलने के कारणों में सब से प्रमुख कारण गोबर की खाद के साथ उर्वरकों का संतुलित व उचित मात्रा में न दिया जाना है.भारतीय किसान इस बात को अच्छे से जानता है. इसका इस्तेमाल करने से फसल का उत्पादन कितना बढ़ेगा यह भी वह अच्छी तरह जानता है, परंतु उसकी लाचारी है कि उसके पास गोबर की खाद पर्याप्त मात्रा में नहीं है और रासायनिक खादों के मूल्यों में लगातार बढ़ोतरी हो रही है.छोटे व सीमांत किसान धान व अन्य फसलों में बहुत कम मात्रा में खाद व उर्वरकों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं. वर्तमान में किसान खाद के उपयोग में रुचि लेने लगे हैं, लेकिन कारखाने किसानों की मांग की पूर्ति करने में नाकाम हो रहे हैं.

इन हालात को ध्यान में रखते हुए छोटे व सीमांत किसान को खादों का सुगम व सस्ता विकल्प देने की जरूरत है. धान की सीधी बुवाई, रोपाई की कोई भी तकनीक अपनाई जाए, उस में नीलहरित शैवाल का इस्तेमाल कर के धान की पैदावार को बढ़ाया जा सकता है.

वायुमण्डल से शोखता है नाइट्रोजन वायुमंडल में 70 फीसदी नाइट्रोजन पोषक तत्त्व के रूप में मौजूद है, लेकिन पौधे इस का सीधे इस्तेमाल नहीं कर सकते हैं. इस वायुमंडलीय नाइट्रोजन को जमीन में इकट्ठा करने की कूवत नीलहरित शैवाल में है, जो खुद जैविक होने के कारण कई उपयोगी अम्ल और विटामिन भी तैयार करता है. यह भूमि की विभिन्न दशाओं में सुधार कर के धान के विकास, बढ़वार व पैदावार में सहायक होता है. साथ ही धान के बाद उगाई जाने वाली फसल का उत्पादन बढ़ाने में भी मददगार होता है.

वैरायटी

नीलहरित शैवाल की अनेक वैरायटी पाई जाती हैं. इन में आलोसायरा, रग्नाविना, नास्टाक, एनाविनापसिस, कैलोथ्रिक्स फिशरैका, हैपलोसाइफोन, कैंपाइलोनिमा, सिलेंड्रोस्पर्मन, माइक्रोकीट, आलीप्रोथिक्स वगैरह प्रमुख हैं. ये आबोहवा में मौजूद गैस का यौगिकीकरण करती हैं.

धान की फसल में करता है कमाल धान की फसल में हमेशा पानी रहता है, उस में नीलहरित शैवाल का इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है, जो वायुमंडलीय नाइट्रोजन को ले कर पौधों को सीधे मुहैया कराने की खासीयत रखता है. यह वायुमंडलीय नाइट्रोजन के यौगिकीकरण के अलावा विभिन्न प्रकार के विटामिन, आक्सीजन, एस्कोबक एसिड को भी तैयार करता है, जो धान के विकास, बढ़वार व उत्पादन में बढ़वार करने में मददगार होते हैं.

उत्पादन का तरीका किसान नीलहरित शैवाल का उत्पादन अपनी जरूरत के अनुसार या कारोबारी स्तर पर कर सकते हैं. देश में अलगअलग स्थानों पर सुविधानुसार नीलहरित शैवाल उत्पादन के लिए अलग अलग तरीकों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

नांद तरीका- ढलवां लोहे की 2 -1 -1-4 मीटर आकार या जरूरत के मुताबिक आकार की नांद में 8-10 किलोग्राम साफ व छनी हुई मिट्टी और 200 ग्राम सुपर फास्फेट डाल कर 5-10 सेंटीमीटर पानी भर देते हैं. अगर मिट्टी अम्लीय हो तो उस में चूना मिला कर ठीक कर लेते हैं.स्थिर पानी की सतह पर नीलहरित शैवाल का मातृ संरोप यानी मदर कल्चर छिड़क देते हैं और नुकसानदायक कीटों से बचाव के लिए लगभग 25 ग्राम मेलाथियान या कार्बोफ्यूरान का इस्तेमाल करते हैं.

गरमी के मौसम व खुली धूप में लगभग 7-10 दिनों में शैवाल की परत (15-20 किलो) तैयार हो जाती है, जिसे सुखा कर थैलों में भर लेते हैं. इस तरह तैयार शैवाल को 2-3 साल तक इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं.गड्ढा तरीका- इस विधि में 1.8 मीटर लंबा, 0.9 मीटर च��ड़ा व 0.23 मीटर गहरा गड्ढा खोद लेना चाहिए. वैसे किसान गड्ढे की लंबाई, चैड़ाई व गहराई अपनी जरूरत के मुताबिक घटाबढ़ा भी सकते हैं. नांद तरीका के अनुसार शैवाल उत्पादन करें.

गड्ढे के एक कोने में पत्थर या ईंट के 4-5 टुकड़े डाल दें, जहां से पानी डालना हो. गड्ढे में 20-21 दिनों  तक शैवाल को बढने दें. फिर पानी को सूखने दें. पानी सूखने पर शैवाल की पपडियां अपनेआप उचट जाएंगी, जिन्हें धूप में सुखा कर पौलीथिन की थैलियों में भर कर महफूज जगह पर भंडारित करें या दोबारा उत्पादन के लिए इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए. इस तरीके में दोबारा उत्पादन के लिए मिट्टी नहीं डालनी पड़ेगी.  इस प्रकार एक गड्ढे से 1.5-2.0 किलोग्राम सूखी शैवाल प्राप्त हो जाती है. नर्सरी में शैवाल उत्पादन- इस विधि में किसान धान की पौध तैयार करने के साथ शैवाल का भी उत्पादन कर सकते हैं. इस में लगभग 40 वर्ग मीटर रकबे में 15-20 किलोग्राम शैवाल तैयार हो जाता है, जो धान के एक हेक्टेयर खेत के लिए जैव उर्वरक के रूप में काफी है.

क्यारी का क्षेत्र सुविधानुसार बढ़ाया जा सकता है, लेकिन चैड़ाई 2 मीटर से ज्यादा नहीं होनी चाहिए. कम चैड़ी क्यारी होने से किनारे पर भी सभी कृषि क्रियाएं की जा सकती हैं.

खेत में उत्पादन- इस तरीके में खेत का लगभग 40 वर्ग मीटर रकबे शैवाल के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं. अगर शैवाल का उत्पादन फसल की कटाई के बाद करना हो, तो फसल ठूंठों को निकाल कर मिट्टी को भलीभांति उलट पलट देते हैं, ताकि खेत में पानी ठहर सके. उस के बाद खेत के चारों ओर मिट्टी की 15 सेंटीमीटर चैड़ी मेंड़ बना कर ढाई सेंटीमीटर गहराई तक पानी भर देते हैं. अब इस में 12 किलोग्राम सुपर फास्फेट  और मच्छरों व खरपतवारों की रोकथाम के लिए 25 ग्राम फ्यूरोडान व कार्बोफ्यूरान डाल कर 5 किलोग्राम शैवाल का संरोप बीज डालते हैं.

शैवाल का इस्तेमाल पौधों की रोपाई के एक हफ्ते बाद धान के खेत पर खड़े पानी में प्रति हेक्टेयर 10-15 किलोग्राम शैवाल का संरोप छिड़क देते हैं. संवर्धन के बाद 15 दिनों तक खेत में थोड़ाबहुत पानी रहने से संवर्धन का पूरा लाभ मिलता है. जिस से शैवाल बढ़ कर पूरे खेत  में फैल जाता है. इस के बाद खेत में शैवाल डालने की जरूरत नहीं है.

सावधानियां धान की पौध रोपने के एक हफ्ते बाद सूखे नीलहरित शैवाल का बारीक चूर्ण 10-15 किलोग्राम प्रति हेक्टेयर की दर से ठहरे पानी में बुरकें. यदि खेत में नाइट्रोजन वाले खाद का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जा रहा है, तो 20-30 किलोग्राम नाइट्रोजन प्रति हेक्टेयर की दर से लाभ लेने के लिए नीलहरित शैवाल का उपयोग करें. धान की फसल के लिए एकतिहाई नाइट्रोजन की जरूरत नीलहरित शैवाल का इस्तेमाल कर के पूरी की जा सकती है.शैवाल को नाइट्रोजन वाले खादों की ज्यादा मात्रा के साथ भी इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है.

क्यारी को खुली जगह पर बनाना चाहिए, ताकि उसे खुली धूप व हवा मिल सके. उस की लंबाई हवा की दिशा के विपरीत होनी चाहिए, जिस से हवा के कारण इकट्ठी हुई शैवाल को फैलने के लिए ज्यादा जगह मिल सके. शैवाल को केमिकल उर्वरकों, कीटनाशकों, फफूंदीनाशकों से दूर रखना चाहिए. अन्यथा कल्चर की जमाव ताकत पर उलटा असर पड़ता है.शैवाल उत्पादन के लिए मिट्टी साफ जगह से लेनी चाहिए. गंदा पानी और नाइट्रोजन वाले खाद क्यारी में नहीं डालने चाहिए.

खरपतवारनाशकों व नुकसानदायक कीटों की रोकथाम व प्रबंधन के लिए सिफारिश की गई दवाओं का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए. शैवाल का कम से कम 3 मौसम इस्तेमाल जरूर करें. उस के बाद ये मिट्टी में स्थापित हो जाते हैं. फिर इस के इस्तेमाल की जरूरत नहीं होती है.शैवाल की पपडियों को पूरी तरह से सुखा कर पौलीथीन की थैलियों में भर कर सुरक्षित जगह पर रखना चाहिए या उन्हें दोबारा गुणन के लिए इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए. शैवाल को सुपर फास्फेट के साथ इस्तेमाल करने से ज्यादा फायदेमंद नतीजे मिलते हैं.

नीलहरित शैवाल के धान की फसल पर विभिन्न स्थानों पर परीक्षण किए गए, जिन के असर का उल्लेख तालिका में किया गया है.

नीलहरित शैवाल की विशेषता इसे किसान अपने खेत में खुद तैयार कर सकते हैं और इसे धूप में सुखा कर कई सालों तक महफूज रखा जा सकता है. इस के इस्तेमाल से मिट्टी की भौतिक, रासायनिक व जैविक दशा में सुधार होता है.

इससे लवणीय व क्षारीय भूमि में सुधार होता है और इस से प्रदूषण या कोई अन्य प्रतिकूल प्रभाव नहीं पड़ता है.ये सस्ते होते हैं, लगातार 2-3 सालों तक इस्तेमाल करने पर खेत में भलीभांति पनप जाते हैं और बाद में डालने की जरूरत नहीं होती है.इसके इस्तेमाल से प्रति हेक्टेयर 20-30 किलो नाइट्रोजन की बचत होती है

Soil Testing: Importance of Soil Sampling

Soil sampling is the fundamental step to make an effective soil fertility strategy. With adequate knowledge of soil fertility management strategy, farmers can optimize the nutrients and minerals present in the soil to improve crop productivity and at the same time maintaining the health of the soil as well. That’s why soil sampling is of utmost importance for soil testing these days.

The methods and procedures for obtaining soil samples vary according to the purpose of the sampling, from individual to individual according to his research objectives. Here we discuss soil sampling from the agricultural perspective i.e. to evaluate soil fertility, health, and fertilizer recommendations for crops to not only maximize the crop yield but also to reduce the farmer’s expenditure to a great extent. The success rate in carefully conducted soil analyses reflects in terms of efficient soil sample collection. So we can conclude that the vital phase of soil analysis takes place in the field where soil samples are taken, but not in the laboratory. Sampling Tools Required: Depending on the objective and accuracy and precision required, the following tools are needed for taking soil samples from the field: 1) Soil auger and spade for taking samples. 2) A clean bucket or a tray and clean cloth for mixing the soil. 3) Bags of specific sizes for soil samples. When to take the sample: A sampling of soil can be done during any period of the year and to get the best results, it is advised to take the sample from the same field after the same time period at a gap of one or two years. As a precaution, the farmers should wait for a minimum of 30 days for the application of fertilizer, lime, etc. Selection of Sampling Unit:A visual survey of the field is a must before taking the actual sample from the targeted field. One should note down the variation in slope, texture, color, and crop pattern by covering the whole field.Depending on the size of the field, mark 10 – 20 spots from where we have to take one composite sample and then mix them to make one proper sample.
