I know it’s likely the Erins pulling stuff out of their ass, but just in case they’re actually referencing a real thing, does anyone have any idea what the “claw stars” could possibly be? You know, the thing The Sisters use as a guide to know when to send toms on their wander thingy.
Since it’s associated with dusk, my first thought was that it could potentially be Venus during the time it rises in the evening and not the morning. But the Venus cycle is way too long for every tom to be sent out at the age of roughly 6 moons of age. Not to mention it’s stars plural, not star singular.

I return with a short list of headcannons
Twilight has anemia. He is so pale despite being a farm boy and the only farm boy I knew who was as pale as him also had anemia. Give this boy some iron supplements pls.
You may think Wild and Hyrule are the problem children when together, but if you added Four it's as if you sent three overly hyper children into a candy store. Zero brain cells are to be found.
Every bird loves Sky. Every. Single. One. He has Disney princess vibes.
Warriors cannot sing for the life of him. You know Scuttle from the Little Mermaid? Thats what he sounds like.
Fairies love Hyrule and Time so much that it isn't uncommon to see the small balls of light attempt to "kidnap" them. (Which in reality is just them repeatedly hitting themselves against the two since they can't push them, and it's adorable.)
Time, in his youth, would starve himself since he was so used to eating very little. Malon threatened to throw a cow at him if he didn't start eating. Time hasn't starved himself since.
Wind believes babies come from storks and I will die on that hill.
Legend, despite what many others headcannon for him, is religious. I like to think that he doesn't worship Hylia, but Farore.
Twilight is also religious, but for the light spirits. I like to think that Ordon's religion is simular to our paganism.
All the Links (minus Legend and Wind) experienced horrible sea sickness when they first got on Tetra's boat.
Twilight has a prosthetic arm after his arm was cut off during his adventure. You know the "need a hand" joke? That's how he revealed his prosthetic to the chain. He threw his arm to Sky, causing the man to pass out out of shock and horror (since Skyloft hasn't made the medical advancements for prosthetics!)
Cats love the Links, even if Four is deathly afraid of them. It's because the remlets loved Sky back when they existed.
Thanks for sharing these I had fun reading them!! I’m sorry it took me so long to respond to ur ask, I wanted to make sure I had enough time to read through all of them and respond :)
- Oooh Twilight with anemia is interesting. I personally headcanon that Twilight has one of the darkest skin tones of the bunch, along with Sky and Hyrule, while Legend and Time are the two palest
- Four to me gives off incredibly responsible energy, but when you pair him with someone else, he goes nuts and gets real silly real quick
- SKY DISNEY PRINCESS REAL. That boy has sung and held out his hand and a bird has landed in it, I just know it.
- I actually have a fic series I wrote where Wars was just completely tone deaf but did not let that stop him from screaming along to the radio. I think normal Wars would secretly be a decent singer but be bad on purpose because its a skill he’s anxious about
- I headcanon that fairies will just it in Time’s hair and let him walk around and carry them, and that they also do this to Hyrule and Wild as well
- I have a similar headcanon that Time used to only live off of nuts and fruits and cried the first time he saw Malon kill a cow for food. He’s over it now, but he’s still upset if he has to see it happen and will not kill an animal himself
- WIND ABSOLUTELY BELIEVES THAT AND I THINK HE’D CRY IF SOMEONE TOLD HIM OTHERWISE
- As far as the Links and religion go, I don’t think any of the hate Hylia, I think some are a bit bitter but I think at the end of the day they all know its not her fault. And yes to Legend worshipping Farore and Twilight the light spirits!
- I would like to add that I don’t think Wild would get sea sick. But all the others? Dead. Gone actually. One boat ride and they’re on the floor. Sky’s been in boats before but he hates them
- Twilight with a prosthetic arm would be an absolute menace to society oh good god 😭😭😭 (I’m obsessed with this headcanon btw, i love it)
- CATS LOVING LINKS BECAUSE REMLITS LOVED SKY IS SO CUTE. TEARS IN MY EYES RN THAT’S ADORABLE.

THE ORIGINS OF BUDGIE CITY
Tumblr media
Welcome to this informational article where I will be explaining what exactly this "Budgie City" is, where it came from, and in which direction it will be going. So, sit down comfortably - there are some interesting things waiting ahead of you! If you are interested in the lore, visit this article.
What exactly is "Budgie City"?
It is a fictional world that I am actively developing. At the moment, I’m in the process of writing it in the form of a paper draft. I write long texts by hand, and it seems to me that spelling out each letter, unlike typing, helps to approach the composition of sentences more thoughtfully, and to more successfully avoid strange and crooked constructions that will then have to be rewritten and corrected. It is far from the final, but I want to warm up people's interest in this world before the release of a full-fledged work, which is what I am doing now. I will not publish too many pieces of text until I have finished the story completely (though I probably will show some sneak-peeks). For now the content on "Budgie City" is mostly limited to drawings — concepts, sketches and character designs. Gradually, I've been starting to bring this topic to my YouTube channel in order to introduce the setting and concept to my viewers.
You may have seen my first video of Budgie City since 2014, which I have released quite recently — “I am not insane”, a video that focuses on one of the secondary conflicts of the story.
Tumblr media
Where did this concept even come from?
It's quite a long story, and it's funny that this year is the ten year anniversary of me registering on the forum called "Budgie City". Yes, it all started with a regular internet forum — a by now almost extinct site format, which in the early 2000s and until about 2016-17 was the main place for interest groups on the internet. Now this has moved almost completely to social media, but before almost any hobby or interest had its own forum with different sections and topics. It saddens me a little that the golden age of forums has already passed.
In 2012, for the New Year, my parents bought me my first budgie — a classic green one, and I named him Gesha. At that time, I was not a regular "user" of the Internet yet. I only started to comprehend the vastness of the virtual network a few months later, and at first it leaned purely on me viewing memes in Google pictures and all sorts of videos on YouTube.
But in the spring of 2013, I discovered these wonderful things known as forums. And it was that point in time when I, having had a budgie with me for a year, decided to find a forum thematically fitting. Upon the request from my country, Google led me straight to the “Budgie City” forum.
The topics on there were something like rooms in a big house. The users randomly surfed through them and followed each other's daily lives. Therefore, Budgie City did actually feel really like being in a virtual society where everyone knows each other. I was getting used to the frequent people, getting to know each person individually. I went to their topics to write comments and answers, they wrote in mine. That's how we existed as this cozy club of interests.
There is an interesting thing with almost every child that is on the Internet — no matter where, in which community — a person with the admin/moder status is perceived as an absolute authority, any response from which causes awe and delight. And there were certain, more active and sociable admins in Budgie City — Anya under the nickname "Phoenix Bird" and Olga under the nickname "Olivka". The "Phoenix Bird" nickname spoke for itself — the image of a large bird of fire that walks around the city and receives admiring glances from everyone, was drawn in my head almost instantly. Olivka didn't have an image yet; I started turning her into a character much later.
Tumblr media
Phoenix and Olivka in their modern designs (2022)
In the early summer of 2014, I read "Warrior Cats", and that’s where the whole story took off. I suddenly felt like I should become a writer too and write my own book. And 12-year-old me, who was spending 80% of my online traffic on the forum, decided to write a story, turning part of the admin staff and the budgies of familiar forum members into their own characters. Phoenix and Olivka turned into birds, the latter in particular acquired an image in the form of a wompoo fruit dove with olive-tinged wings, the budgies of the forum were also turned into their respective characters: Gesha and Yasha (mine); Glasha and Gosha (Hoatzin); Clementine, Jack, Fenya, Nira, Mouse, Castorka, Mithril and Small (Phoenix); Kuzya (Dmitriy68), Milana (Radujniy), Raisin (yyna) and others.
Sections of the forum have turned into parts of the city — the restaurant, the mayor's office, the registry office and nursery, and suburbs with parrots of other species, located on trees surrounding baobabs.
This is how the novel of the same name with the slogan "Feathered Metropolis" was born from the "Budgie City" forum. I posted it in its own topic, had about a dozen readers and, judging by the reviews, they all really liked reading the story. Although, looking back at the writing now... I wouldn't call it something breathtaking. Rather the opposite. But then again, I am now judging from the perspective of a third-year animation director student, and not the fifth grader I was at that time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A couple of my original illustrations from 2014
The story was successfully brought to an end in about seven months, and after a while I started writing a sequel — however, the central conflict wasn’t thought out the slightest, so the plot quickly crumbled and was abandoned after several chapters.
Now the original text is lost in the vastness of the web — somewhere there is a piece of the prologue, somewhere even a couple of chapters. But the full version no longer exists — it was published only on the forum, and the said forum, unfortunately was — somewhere around 2019 — ruthlessly deleted from the Internet due to the desolation. All that's left of it are snapshots in the Wayback Machine.
Rewriting from the old version into a new one
In 2017, three years later, I made an attempt to rewrite "Budgie City" from scratch — leaving only the main conflict, the structure of the world, and the set of characters the same, to write a new text out of this "skeleton". Progress did not go beyond the prologue and the first chapter however, and rewriting was abandoned.
The same story with 2019 — a couple of pages, that’s all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two artworks from 2019
The next approach took till early 2021 to happen, when the original story turned almost six and a half years old. At that time I was already in the middle of my first year of animation directing at SPbGIKiT (Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television). I wrote the prologue and part of the first chapter and went to proudly tell our master Galina Voropai about my "really cool" world. Galina interrupted me in the middle of the impromptu presentation, after which followed a forty-minute roast, thoroughly and in detail explaining that the "Budgie City" in its concept is a piece of junk that does not have the right to exist in its current form. And all this was in the presence of my classmates in the workshop. I gave up trying to defend myself halfway through, and when it was all over, I got up, quietly thanked Galina for a detailed objective analysis of the shortcomings of my project, went down to the first floor, huddled in a bathroom stall, and burst into tears.
It was the first (and yet the only) time in my life where I was literally crying over my work, and the girls from senior courses came to my howls, and we sat together on the windowsill of a public toilet. I was all red, shaking, and dropping snot, as they tried to calm me down.
Tumblr media
(my mental state that day)
After that, I did not return to those written several pages for about a year and a half. I began to doubt whether I should continue at all or if it would just be a waste of time.
After the roast from the master, I went through all five stages of grief:
Tumblr media
Yes, that was tough. But after so much time, I was finally able to evaluate the message of this scolding with a cool head and understand that most of the comments were actually really helpful - the conflict and the world did require a lot more careful study and rework. With the next approach, I wrote out all the conflicts, all the character motivations, and made a proper plan. And since the end of last autumn, I have returned to writing. Now I know where the story will begin, where it will head, and how it will end. All the actions performed by the heroes are finally based in actual logic. And, although Galina will not see the final result (she sadly passed away at the end of 2021), I hope that the new version will be one that she would have approved of.
A small FAQ:
Q: When will the book be released?
A: I don't want to make any promises as of now, because writing is a rather spontaneous and uneven process. I write more when I am inspired, and inspiration is impossible to predict. So the answer is simple — it will come out when it's finished :D
Q: Will it be released electronically or in a printed book form? Will I have to pay for reading it?
A: I plan to release the final version "Budgie City" in the same way as the old one — in open access, so that everyone can read it at any time. I will not charge money for reading the electronic version, but if there will be a demand for physical copies, I may release a small print run, which will cost money for those who want to get a copy. But it's a little early to think about that anyway.
Q: How does the world in Budgie City work? How do they live? What is the main conflict of the story?
A: All of this you can find out in this article!
Q: Where can I find more content to this world and story?
A: On this very blog or on my YouTube channel
I hope this article was helpful and informative enough for you to know where "Budgie City" comes from and in which direction it is currently heading. Thank you for reading!
Huge thanks to @annchanorsomethin for helping with translation of this article!

quick question. Rn fire alone feels like the obvious "good" choice ("I want people to be able to choose who they love and I want to be kind. We maybe shouldnt kill kits while we're at it?") and thistle feels like the "bad" choice ("I want apprentices to die bc theyre half clan and and screw moms having rights. Oh those rlly important kits that got killed? Yeah they deserved it lol.")
So what reasons would a cat want to support Thistle's law, and what reasons would a cat not want to support Fire alone?
By our standards they're the obvious good and bad choices... but really, I've met a lot of people who support the 'obvious bad choice' irl too.
Like, this line here you wrote,
"I want people to be able to choose who they love and I want to be kind. We maybe shouldnt kill kits while we're at it?" = Say this verbatim at Thanksgiving to your homophobic, anti-healthcare uncle and you unlock the Bonus Slurs.
Remember that there's not always two 'equal sides' to an argument. That's a trap; not every position is logical. Spite, fear, and anger are GREAT political motivators. Thistle Law is ur-Fascism adapted for Clan society, kept simple so I could tell a story with it.
So lemmie run through everything you wrote, I'm going to write dialogue here as if a Thistle Law supporter is responding (so obvious CW for sexism and control and general garbage!!);
"I want people to be able to choose who they love and I want to be kind. We maybe shouldnt kill kits while we're at it?"
"So you want to destroy our Clans and culture?? This isn't kindness, it's pathetic. You want to let [ThemClan] invade us and kick [UsClan] out of our own home. And don't pretend like I want to kill kits, YOU'RE the one who wants our kits not have four Clans to be part of."
"I want apprentices to die bc theyre half clan and and screw moms having rights. Oh those rlly important kits that got killed? Yeah they deserved it lol."
"What?! The Warrior Code has bound our loyalty for generations and kept us together longer than you've been alive. Wayward warriors need to be punished for disloyalty, and there would be plenty of toms in their own Clans if we hadn't ended kit stealing. If those kits really were so important, StarClan shouldn't have been entrusted to some lying, delusional wench of a mother!"
They deflect a lot. Everything goes back to anger and accusations. Even a character like Hawkfrost, who would be more capable of making 'rational' arguments than this person, is harboring a lot of disgust or fear in them.
The emotions are important. Their arguments aren't convincing, they're charged. You're supposed to get angry and start yelling back at them, it triggers their feelings of persecution, and only makes them dig in even further as they feel like the whole world is delusional and only THEY have the truth.
So it's important to stress; You cannot 'fix' these people. There is no successfully 'won argument'. Do not engage with them. Their minds are only changed when they start seeking different viewpoints, and when there's resources for them to get away on their own.
(It is why a lot of real antifascist work has to do with stabilizing communities in poverty and combating loneliness. Economic anxiety and having no other support system are GREAT ways to prevent radicalized people from leaving the 'cult'.)
So... if Thistle Law doesn't make sense to you? Good. It's not supposed to. I hope that I can help people to understand that, y'know?

Hello! Apologies I only wrote for one of the continuities. I’m matching you with TFP Megatron!
Megatron
He’ll get you more purple clothing to match him.
Grabs your hands and holds them when you’re picking at your skin, then he’ll carry you to the medbay for Knockout to patch you up.
Megatron believes that seven cats is a bit… obnoxious, but nevertheless will make room for all of your pets.
Jokes about your bug colony being an army… he thinks it’s hilarious that you have an insect army of your own.
Megaton holds you close to his spark when you overthink things/start to cry.
Everything is weird on the Nemesis, so you’re not out of place on the ship to him.
He does his best to appreciate and support all of your interests, even if he sees them as childish.
At least once a week he’ll take you to a new foresty area, where you can “observe all the different types of mushrooms and squirrels you want.” He’ll usually sit in a clear-ish area and watch you frolic through the trees.

All characters have been adapted into both franchises, but their personalities, designations and designs can vary to some extent. To simplify things, only their Cybertronian designation is stated, the Brave equivalent and all aliases, as well as their combiner names, will not be mentioned here. If any of the names sound hilarious (cringe-worthy) or you recognize a reference, chances are high they were named like this on purpose.

After Overlord Master is defeated and the his spaceship docks, a surge goes through the entire ship, activating the brothers Pointy, Crusader and Splendor and granting them sentience. Light of Aether - Original Story:
This story does not exist yet. Not outside of a large document, that is. It is about the life and struggle of a society of alien cyborgs, inspired by five different franchises (Metroid, Transformers, Astral Chain, Tron, Warrior Cats). The original idea was actually a Transformers x Sailor Moon crossover my cousin and I came up with, and then we just took the parts we contributed to it and made it our own thing. She created a magical girl story, I wrote about cyborgs and space and war.
In the end, I might never publish anything about it, but my OCs still exist and bits of them they carry over to all the other franchises as well, such as their names, their personality, their concept and more. And I intended for the main character to have an over-the-top name, because I found it funny and I really don't want to change it. It is ridiculous, but I love it.

not gonna waste my energy on a serious vague post of a vague post, but lmao I can't not point out how funny it is to read (as I just did) someone say, in earnest,
"you can't write poetry inspired by intrusive thoughts!!!!!!! cause intrusive thoughts are BAD things!!! so if you actually wrote poetry about them you'd get called out and added to a government watch list!!!!!"
ok! girl! what!!! maybe you can't if you're a cowardly prep, but hello?? hasn't good poetry always been subversive and challenging???? I don't write poetry about intrusive thoughts per se, but I certainly write poetry about horror and gore and, yes, even my negative and dark and "bad" thoughts. and not once have I been criticized on it, let alone called out. nor have I been added to any watch lists as far as I know, but I suppose that's still up in the air huh...
Valentine's Crime List (official), via Government.net™: commie (evil) mentally unstable (traitorous) prone to angry outbursts (a danger to society!) anddddddd she's even a poet 🤢 (OH GOD N- death sentence.
yes, intrusive thoughts as a concept have been appropriated and watered down in many spaces, especially online, but come onnnnnn come on come on come on have some NUANCE here. you guys act so ridiculous sometimes, you'd think this were middle school drama. I sure HOPE this isn't middle school drama. go play warrior cats with the neighbor's kids outside if so.
but it's especially ridiculous to me when you can find enough free poetry online to last a lifetime -- ntm in most communities irl too???? u guys never picked up a random punk zine printed out on, well, printer paper??? and I promise promise promise you that if you start looking at real poetry and interacting with real genuine art outside of ur little fandomy nerdy circle-jerks, ur gonna find something just as "bad" as intrusive thoughts. ur gonna be disgusted and uncomfortable about something. and ur even gonna find poetry inspired by -- if not directly about -- these exact mental struggles themselves!!!! ok well, this "brief" post ended up getting away from me after all #AdderallGirl, but lastly, if u wanna be spoon fed a few amateur examples of these kinds of themes in poetry:
here's a poem I wrote inspired by my mental struggles, shock content, irl gore and suicide (among other things)
here's a poem I wrote inspired by my self-injurious compulsions, my mental struggles, parasites, gore and suicide (among other things)
here's a poem I wrote inspired by my mental struggles, child abuse, irl suicide and child murder (among other things)
bonus: and here's one I wrote about dying, while I thought I was actively dying :3c (among other inspirations, etc etc u get the picture by now lol)

PINTEREST BOARD
ALL ABOUT ARTHUR:
Arthur is a short-tempered man of many passions; often in a sour mood and prone to bouts of melancholy and deep thought, but equally so, incredible kindness, empathy, and care. Although he looks young, he is ancient and functionally immortal with strong, innate magical abilities and a natural affinity with the supernatural. He is both a man and a culmination of land, history, and culture; so while he is a nation, he still has his own consciousness, his own will and desires. Although he occupies a position high up in the British government through the 19th, 20th, and early 21st centuries, Arthur is far more at home at a local pub with good company, enjoying good songs and good food, sailing on the open ocean, or elbow-deep in the earth of his garden.
(As of the death of Queen Elizabeth I, Arthur has retired from his position as Permanent Undersecretary in the Foreign Commonwealth Office.)
He has always struggled walking the line between what he is and what he has wanted to be--despite his rebellious, fiery, caring heart, he can never escape what he is, nor escape his own sense of duty to his people and his land. History carried him from being a lost lad in the woods of Roman Britain, to a hunter and wanderer, a protector of the forests and fae, to political hostage and small warrior, to privateer, to piracy, to the Royal Navy, and finally to being a proper ambassador.
For a time, he became hellbent on living up to the enormous expectations laid on him by English culture, the monarchy, by tradition. It took two world wars to break him of his faith in the Empire, and by the final decades of the 20th century, he worked in earnest to address the sort of man he both chose and was pushed to become.
Arthur is a wealthy philanthropist, and while he has (some) political leverage and is firmly in the class of the elite, he does not fit in with that part of society. He has little to no patience for things and people he views as incompetent, cruel, or wasteful. After all, he spent roughly 1,500 years as destitute or working poor.
While he knows how to operate in High Society, he has lost all desire to engage in it beyond what is absolutely necessary--state dinners, charity events, diplomatic functions and meetings, etc. He is not afraid to tell a high ranking member of government to fuck off, but the only reasons he’s able to get away with any of it are that he is what he/who is, and the amount of blackmail material he has at his disposal is, frankly, obscene.
-
MISC TRIVIA:
Has a skull collection; mostly human
Rolls on the balls of his feet when anxious
Runs his hands through his hair when anxious/upset/fatigued
Has a past with addiction to narcotics and cocaine
Owns a seaworthy sailing vessel he likes to take down the coast of Europe
Is right-handed
Wrote a series of smutty novellas in the 19th century under a pseudonym

-
PTSD TRIGGERS:
- Post- world wars:*
(Pre world war triggers still apply.)
- Loud artillery fire; real or fake (video games/TV/films) - To a lesser extent, fireworks - Strong chemical smells - Some jumpscares, if accompanied with loud noise
- Pre- world wars:
- Being abandoned - Throat injuries - Strangulation attempts/hands or cloth/rope at his throat - Dislikes the smell of blood if it is too strong and lingering - Extreme aversion to being touched without permission
-
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES/ABILITIES:
- These apply to his default/”is England” ‘verses only.
- Extreme sturdiness; Even compared to other nations, he can take a lot of physical hits and keep going. (Think high DEF, higher HP.)
- Rapid healing; Wounds heal quickly. A broken arm can heal within hours. Can be a problem if shrapnel/projectiles must be extracted, or if the wound is bad enough that a mercy-kill is required to avoid forcing him to painfully linger.
- Semi-immortality; Can revive from any death. Sometimes takes hours, can also take multiple days depending on the manner of death, and how far away he is from his landmass. Death by drowning in the ocean, or total bodily annihilation (being burned to ashes) will cause him to "respawn" where the Thames meets the sea.
- Above-average strength; Not quite super human and there are nations that are far stronger. Just know he can pack quite a punch.
- Limb regeneration; Amputated limbs cannot be put back--what is this, Resident Evil 7/8? However, they do grow back a la 'Deadpool.' It's gross and painful and takes days.
-
MAGICAL ABILITIES:
- These apply to his default/”is England” ‘verses only.
- Wand-based and non-wand based magics/spellcasting
- Basic and some advanced healing of other living creatures, human and non-human animals, as well as plants
- Basic and advanced boons; good luck, healthy crops, hair growth, pleasant dreams
- Basic and advanced curses; pestilences, bad luck ranging from small accidents to terrible deaths, nightmares, hauntings, visual and auditory hallucinations
- Basic and some advanced illusions; mirages, interactive illusions
- Basic and some advanced elemental spells with fire and wind
- Summoning/banishment of others; teleportation to/from elsewhere
- Minor meteorological augmentation; can make it rain, or stop raining, or rain less, can summon winds from breezes to gusts
- Sight, touch, sound-based communication with spirits, ghosts, fae, non-human entities from anywhere in the world without spellcasting; it is an innate ability. He is a 'spirit' of the island, after all.
- Non-human entities, including the above, as well as animals, just seem to gravitate to or find themselves becalmed in his presence. (Obviously this is not a hard rule and your non-human character doesn't have to like him, they could just sense that he is also not human.)
- Interaction with the dead; minor necromancy in relation to deceased nations; does not attempt human necromancy, but he can revive the recently deceased (within minutes of their death) given the right circumstances
- As a nation, he can be "sensed" by British (or British colonial or Commonwealth) citizens; sometimes people can recognize who/what he is on sight despite having never met him, sometimes people just have a strange feeling, and sometimes they don't notice anything odd at all. It is not based on patriotism, but rather, perceptiveness. (Also something that you can choose to engage with or not, and I am always happy to plot if you have ideas!)
- Innate ability to communicate with animals. It's not that he hears voices, it's more like he just kind of tends to understand them. It's the world's stupidest Disney princess.

Sending another warrior bc of warriors brainrot but how about breezepelt?
sorry this is so late xmx i had this open in a tab and forgot about it
sexuality headcanon: hmmm idk tbh. i'll go with bi ace but he doesnt know it yet
gender/pronouns headcanon: nonbinary but also doesnt know it so goes by he/him for now but will eventually be comfortable w he/she/they
rate them out of ten: it has been a hot minute. i'm gonna go with like a 6 or 7 because the discourse about him is exhausting but also fans are not normal abt him so i kinda feel inclined to like him out of spite.
favorite thing about them: can't tell if this should technically be a bad thing because the erins absolutely wrote him the way they did to be like "oh look how much WORSE crowfeathers life is. dont you wish he was present in the three's lives and still with leafpool?? they arent as annoying as him!" but i do like that he's an unconventional abuse victim. like in fiction, authors like to portray abuse victims as only quiet and meek. which like, those people exist in real life so that's not an issue, per say, but people are VERY quick to suddenly say that a child deserves to be abused if that kid lashes out instead. so, personally i like breezepelt for defying that, but at the same time it wasn't meant to be subversive so like, fuck you erin hunter im stealing him
least favorite thing about them: uhhh kinda the above, its like a double edged sword.
why i first started liking/disliking them: it was half the scene where they say that no one in windclan likes him because. uh oh thats me. and half spite
do i relate/project onto/kin them?: sort of. i kind of understand the sheer rage he feels because of how he's treated in windclan even if its not seen as a "big deal", tho not to a murderous degree obviously. i also understand being seen as the obnoxious kid that no one likes and everyone thinks hes a baby that complains, and people saying that they're glad that he's gone because they think he's exhausting. like. uh oh family and school memories flooding back. dont relate to the dad issues tho
favorite quote/moment: not much comes to mind, hes just kind of a sad character so it feels weird to pick one. ig the scene where brokenstar manipulates him bc its a good representation of how fucked up he's become
my fav ship: idk tbh. ive seen breezeblossom get thrown around but i dont really like blossomfall that much tbh. which one of his ships gets the most vitriol (without age gaps or incest)? bc i wanna do that one to be funny
my fav platonic friendship idk how i feel abt breezeheather but i do at least like em as friends. im fine either way w them tho
a ship i hate: not much comes to mind
do i prefer canon or fanon?: well fanon is kinda weird so ig canon idk. i like the version of him in my head ig?
random headcanon:
what color do i picture them as: orange is what i associate, otherwise he's pitch black
cat breed headcanon: oriental cat
unpopular opinion: honestly i don't know why people take him trying to kill poppyfrost as like an end all thing to saying hes a bad character and not someone you should "side with" over crowfeather. like, i do know why but like this is the murder cat book. most of them kill. the book acts like its both scary and epic. like why are you mocking shadowclan and calling them stupid for mourning russetfur's death at lionblaze's hand after thunderclan invaded them and also clutching your pearls over this? when is it ok to kill in this society? and its also an outlandish action not grounded in reality, while crow's neglect hits closer to home. also breeze is a villain at that point lol hes supposed to do fucked up shit while crow's neglect is painted as misunderstood and uwu sad for him at the end of the day. so yeah i do think its fucked that he did that, but at the same time yeah im not gonna "side with crowfeather" and say he deserved the neglect over it. wtf

The Night We Met (Isles of Ysamaldri)
This short is inspired by the song of the same name by Lord Huron.
Isles of Ysamaldri Masterlist
This is a piece of an original fantasy story that I’ve had kicking around for a good seven years now. Specifically, this short focuses on the relationship between two significant characters, Maple and Cedric (who I also wrote a bit about for one of the December whump events). I was listening to the song “The Night We Met,” both a female cover and the original, and I couldn’t get these two out of my head with how wistful it makes me feel, and how their lives (and relationship) had changed drastically, as they wish to go back to a Before.
This isn’t necessarily in any place in the story relative to the other short things I’ve posted here.
Story short (899 words) under the cut!
Cedric couldn't sleep – it was the full moon, and the thoughts of his past surfaced. Usually, these thoughts weren't pleasant, surrounding the few months he had spent as a test subject to improve the Queen's personal guard and royal warriors, in that lab. While his last memories of being a highly-ranked Shal'jí went sour rapidly, it didn't start out that way.
Like his time as one of the Mion Isle queen's most loyal warriors, his last few months knowing Maple – a fellow Shal'jí – hadn't been a pleasant time. But it didn't start out that way, did it? The night we met, we knew – we knew.
Like many others before and after him, Cedric had been given into the service of the Queen of Mion Isle, Queen Tahl’drí. Those given into the service of the queen as future royal warriors usually came at young ages, between their first or second year of life. This was due to a family hoping to improve their favor with the queen, or give the child a better life than they could give them themselves. It was an honorable role to have, and a vital part of their society.
Each child grew up and learned within Mion's palace, taken care of by other, older Shal'jí when they outgrew specialized caretakers. It created a community of siblings, a family. Everyone grew up with each other.
Everyone, except for Maple. She wasn't a normal Cí’mehia.
Like everyone else, Cedric had had a family, and a family name, and, like every other Shal'jí, he shed it once he got adopted into his new life.
Except for Maple, who never had either in the first place.
One fateful day, when Cedric was five years old, one of the Shal'jí brought a strange child to Cedric's year-group. They said she was a Cí’mehia, but anyone who saw her didn't see the familiar blonde/black hair, or the small cheetah ears, tail, nor the emerald green eyes that all Cí’mehia shared. This Cí’mehia resembled a domestic cat fitted onto a humanoid frame. She had pale ginger fur that covered her, in contrast to the mostly-human-passing Cí’mehia children, and pale green feline eyes. Her ears had the same proportions as a housecat, instead of the smaller ear proportions that the Cí’mehia children had.
The newcomer looked eager yet nervous at the same time, meeting the other children whose curiosity beckoned them forward toward her.
Cedric was one such child. And, that night, he met his best friend in all the Isles.
If only we could go back, and do it again, Cedric thought. I'd refuse Tahl’drí's request to be part of the Cerine tests.
But he knew that wouldn't help. He'd otherwise have been complicit in whoever became the first Cerine, and their imprisonment in the lab. And who knows what else since then. Who knows how they might have – or might not have – held up.
🙞 🙟 🙝 🙜
Maple only dreamed of her childhood once in a while, and even then, most of the dreams came from her time in the lab. I had spent so many years in the lab. But this memory wasn't from that cold place – this was the day she met her siblings. It was the day that she had finally had the family she was promised.
She hadn't expected them to all look... the same, though. None of them looked like her. They all looked the same as the scientists and lab technicians she had known all of her life.
The other children surrounded her, the curiosity burning in her eyes and in all of theirs. Clamouring voices pressed in, and so did their hands, but the older Shal'jí didn't let her retreat. They were a comforting presence behind her, as if to back her up.
Then she met Cedric, and Chetchri.
Maple had only just begun understanding that no one would ever look like her, and that mattered to a lot of the Shal'jí she shared a year-group with, and the ones younger, but of the couple who didn't, she held on to them with a vice-like grip. They didn't call her a lab-cat, or deny that she was a Cí’mehia, like them. They called her a friend.
As time passed, she and Cedric became closer, and Chetchri took an interest with working in the lab under the Mion Palace. Things changed for the busier, but largely stayed the same. Maple and Cedric often guarded the Queen together, and were regarded as some of her most skilled and trusted Shal'jí. And they trusted the Queen.
     But not anymore.
Chetchri was part of Cedric's guard, when he was down in the labs. She brought Maple updates on him when she couldn't bare to go down there herself, which was most of the time. Maple had only gone down there a handful of times in the few months he had been down there, and one such time was as he escaped.
I wanted to go with you.
He ran, and she couldn't do anything – she couldn't raise the alarm, but she couldn't help him, either. He ran, oblivious to her presence, and she watched in the silence.
Part of me is happy for your escape from the Isle. Part of me pities you.
Part of me hates you for leaving me without a word.

OC Master List
If you continue reading this, you will learn about their existence. Do you want to? If yes, then why? What compels you to look at nothing but a list of names of fictional characters that have sprung from someone else's imagination? Are you doing it of curiosity? Or boredom?
Whatever it is, I hope your curiosity will be sated and your boredom cured.
Transformers & Brave/Yuusha:
All characters have been adapted into both franchises, but their personalities, designations and designs can vary to some extent. Their Cybertronian designation is stated first, the Brave equivalent second (only if it differs), and all aliases (as well as their combiner names) will be mentioned in brackets. If any of the names sound hilarious (cringeworthy) or you recognize a reference, chances are high they were named like this on purpose.

After his second death, the company dissolves and most of its employees go to work for another underground organization that has accumulated all the data they need to make more robots with Super A.I. The two mechs are left behind, but the Scotland Yard Braves find them and they band together.
Point Rue
Sir Lockhart
Super Giant Robot Brothers:
Pointy is one of the failed G.R.I.T.S. contestants. An alien from the empire finds his discarded frame on the scrap yard and steals it to gather more information about the EDF. The empire starts building their own robots and deploys them during their battles against the Resistance in outer space, but they are too ineffective and faulty to last long. After the Overlord Master is defeated and the hand spaceship docks, a surge goes through the entire ship, which activates the brothers Pointy, Crusader and Splendor and grants them sentience. They flee and join the Resistance, searching for the imperial mother ship's location and fighting their other imperial siblings who could not escape the Overlord Master's influence.

Stranger Things Warrior Cat AU time! This isn’t the full AU obviously, but I just wrote down a few interesting things
(Also before someone asks, yes Byler is a thing that will end up happening in this AU, how could it not lol)
The clan is called HawkClan because Hawkins... it’s not that difficult to figure that one out lol the main party of 6 consists of Myrtlepaw(Mike), Elmpaw(Will), Dustpaw(Dustin), Leechpaw(Lucas), El/Moonpaw(El), and Dawnpaw(Max). Myrtlepaw, Elmpaw, and Dustpaw were all born in the clan, Myrtlekit and Elmkit becoming very fast friends, a few moons later meeting a kittypet kit named Lucas who moved into the clan with his parents, who were also both kittypets. Lucas was renamed to Leechkit, and he formed a bond with the other two cats after a while. Dustkit didn’t become their friend until a while later, due to his health issues landing him in the medicine den frequently, but he got along with them very well. It stayed like that for a bit until Elmpaw disappeared, the three other toms finding a she-cat named Eleven, shortly after being nicknamed El, in the forest when looking for him, and then stuff happened after that. A few moons later 4 loners joined the clan, one of them being Dawnpaw, who joined in on the groups activities shortly after joining the clan.
Other cats with names so far are Robinclaw(Robin), Burdockfur(Eddie), Wildberry(Billy), Jaggedpaw(James), Thornpaw(Troy), Lynxstrike(Lonnie),  Juniperstorm(Joyce), and Grassstar(Hopper, his warrior name is Grasshopper and he mainly goes by Hopper or Hop, like in the show, also mainly because Grassstar looks horrible when written lmao), I’ll refer to everyone else by their real names for the time being
They live in a very VERY heteronormative society, that believes all she-cats who are warriors must one day become mothers, and that she-cats only major role in a clan can be medicine cats, and male medicine cats aren't a thing. Gay relationships are also seen as very strange to the majority of HawkClan, which isn’t fun for Myrtlepaw and Elmpaw, as well as Robinclaw, and kittypets are seen as very very cowardly, loners and rogues on the other hand being seen as overly aggressive. Medicine cats are confined to camp unless gathering herbs, so once Elmpaw went missing, Juniperstorm yelled at Hopper to make her be a warrior again (her being a warrior before Lynxstrike left, before changing to a medicine cat) so she could leave camp to help look for her son, which Hopper agreed to after a bit. This did cause Robinclaw to become a full medicine cat a bit earlier then she expected, which didn’t really help her.
After Wildberry dies/gets injured (don’t know what to do with him yet lol), him having been made deputy since 1. Hopper wanted HawkClan to stop seeing loners as lesser since he was trying to fix the clans issues a bit, and 2. There are monsters attacking them, and Wildberry is quite strong, it was also a decision made under a lot of stress. But yeah, after he gets hurt, Hopper makes Nancy his new deputy, further pushing for the clan to change their views. Shortly after though, Hopper “died”, throwing Nancy into being leader after only being deputy for a little while, which causes her quite a lot of stress, but she gets through it just barely, though being more easily annoyed and tired. She did always want to be leader, but it was a dream she never thought she actually would achieve, and definitely not that quickly.
If anyone has any questions about this AU, or even any questions for characters in the AU, feel free to ask in the ask box! I love talking about my ideas, and there is a bunch of stuff I didn’t even touch on because I have no time lmao
And as a little bonus, take a sketch of a page from a short little comic based off the events from the first episode, called “The Vanishing of Elmpaw” that I have planned! My Warrior Cat OC comic has taken up most my drawing time though, so I have not finished it yet!

Writer question #19!
Thank you for the ask!
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?
It started in primary school. While playing stuff like tag or hide and seek during recess I would make up stories in my head to make the game more interesting (also the start of me having more fun on my own than around other people), like we were spies or criminals on the run or who knows what else.
I started getting really involved in a story about ancient warriors maintaining a secret lifestyle in parallel to modern society (I was really into Warrior Cats at this point and this was essentially a human AU) and I developed this universe and these characters and I was like "hey, I should write it down!" (It was called Atzina Sky-Daughter and I still think about it sometimes) and there it started.
I only wrote 3 two-page chapters of Atzina in Comic Sans, because I was like 8, but many projects followed, notably one about a Trojan princess who survived the war and went on to found her own city-state. I started writing some fanfiction too (including, you know it if you've been here a while, That One Hunger Games Fanfic).
I really got into my current original WiPs, with the intention of publishing one day, when I started high school.
I just realized both how much and how little I've accomplished in like 8 years.
But it does make sense. The stories, universe and characters have changed a lot since I started with them. I mean, Allastra used to be about fairy people.
Also I wrote embarrassingly little during the last couple of years, what with my master's and general flemme (I'll let you look that one up). I've gotten back into big large scale outlining lately and I hope that better knowing where I'm going will lead me to better writing (full respect to gardeners, great for you if you can make it work, but pantsing is what got us Star Wars Episode IX and I don't want that for my darlings.)

Note
i read the 3 rules post about character couples and i had a question, what is thistle law??
Ohhhh Thistle Law is a very important concept to understanding my Bonefall Rewrite.
You see, one of my major goals is remaking warriors to be more thematically consistent, and to have a conclusive anti-authoritarian stance. To do that, I needed to name and describe Tigerstar's ideology, and the ideology of all cats like him.
Thistle Law is what Ur-Fascism looks like in Clan society. I wrote out a guide that explains it in detail, its traits, its foundations, and also the theory I reference when I approach it. It's contrasted to the other two Clan ideologies; Traditionalism, and Fire Alone.
Thistle Law does not respect the Queen's Rights because it's antithetical to its idea of purity and punishment. The Rights exist because of Oakstar's flawed mortal judgement putting Mapleshade's kits in danger. By not interrogating a queen on who the kittens' sire is, StarClan alone will judge her if she's been disloyal.
Bluefur HAD the Queen's Rights to protect her, but Thistleclaw started accusing her of disloyalty, pointing out this flaw in the code. Thrushpelt tried to jump in to take the heat off her, but by that time, it was too late and the Clan was "concerned" that Bluefur was a disloyal cat.
In my rewrite, THIS is why she gives her kits away. It's not safe for them in ThunderClan if she does not become deputy, and the possibility of half-Clan kits ruins her reputation just enough that Sunstar can't choose her as his successor.
Bluestar, with her first deputy Thrushpelt, lead the Clan into a new era of peace and prosperity. It seems like she's defeated Thistleclaw and his horrible ideas... but, unfortunately, she doesn't realize that her ideology and his will be battling for many generations to come.

just some classic oversharing in the form of a bullet point list
fun facts about me
when i was like 11 or something my art got featured in a cringe compilation
i was in mormon boy scouts
both of my siblings are also trans
i was so bad at school that they sent me to another one that had crisis lines on the back of our ids
my first fanfiction was either wings of fire or warrior cats
i have on three separate occasions attempted to write a fic alongside another person which intersected.
none of these fics included a single canon character
none of them were completed, but the one i was most serious about had my partner abandon their side first. i wrote 23,510 words across the original and a rewrite, as well as detailed character bios with math as to each character and their abilities. because they were all ocs. every single one.
i have tried to get into game design but always gave up to quickly. i would draw map and ui plans on schoolwork though
i have livestreamed twice. once was undertale on youtube when i was like 14, and once was little witch nobeta on twitch. the latter contained in-depth criticism of capitalism to an audience of zero. probably for the best as my laptop is trash and the recording was choppy af
in seventh grade i wrote an undertale x hunger games fanfiction as a school assignment. look idk either. i think it was my first time writing for canon characters
i also wrote warrior cats fanfic (original characters, original clans, etc.) as a school assignment but i don't think it had to be fanfiction that time.
i have an unfinished 17k word original work set in a post-climate change society where serial killers are basically celebrities.
my biggest work is a 53,729 word original story
i actually have a lot of original stuff. a fair amount of it is horror or has horror elements.
a line i wrote for a fanfic a long time ago was so visceral and graphic that to this day my older sibling refuses to read my writing. it was just a character shooting another upwards through the chin but i'll admit the way i described it was a bit much. i haven't written anything on that level since.
oh right the "all ocs" thing wasn't true for one of the warriors fics. i briefly wrote scourge because i gave him fankids. and a mate.
okay let's just go over some of my original stories
androids
lawyers
chaos dimension
magical girls but gay and also they fight god and eventually blow up the world tree and its actually a lot more convoluted than i can put succinctly.
the grim reaper retires and chooses a dead kid to take his place. more of an episodic thing.
a girl who can't feel pain
a story you can tell was written out of frustration after reading the (garbage) be more chill book. it has a high school guy that immediately gets rejected at the beginning.
angel and demon try to kill each other (mt only romance thing)
submarine goes into an underwater labyrinth and a lot of people die
literally almost all the characters in these are queer. idk anyway back to me.
my first "relationship" ended in a couple days because i thought they deserved better. she was later found out to be faking being in a band and selling other people's music and it was a whole thing. for those two reasons combined i don't really count it.
i have 4 albums of music from sonic on my phone, with album art and everything, adding up to 265 tracks. they are all ripped from youtube.
i've been sent to grippy sock jail three times, but only made to stay once. during this time i read most of the ultimate hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.
when i was a kid i had a deviantart where i posted some of my earliest art. i had a riolu oc and constantly drew riolu and lucario. this is because i got riolu as my character in pokémon mystery dungeon 2.
i used to be known as "best sass cheld." now i am simply an uninteresting 19 y/o adult.
i own a demon horn headband
i used to use "rose" as a stand-in last name on the internet. i stopped using it as the name had too much baggage attached.
the great gatsby sucked. that's not really a fun fact but it's been a year or so and i'm still thinking about how terrible that book is.
when i was 14-ish i had a health teacher that blasted heavy metal music before class
i took a full year-long break from social media when i was 17 and a couple months into 18
i would list some stuff from deviantart but it's not really stuff i wanna share
i would also list stuff from twitter but i can't remember the vast majority of it.
i can't think of anything else but that's already a lot more than i thought i'd be able to remember
well i can think of some stuff but they're either personal or identifiable so that's that
