Made for You and Me
People sing these song lyrics and believe that they’re true. I never can, because for me there lies.
God bless America, where at least I know I’m free
This land was made for you and me
At least that’s what they say.
But it’s not true
The USA wasn’t made for me because I’m a woman
It wasn’t made for me because of the color of my skin turns in the summer
It wasn’t made for me because I have mental illnesses
It wasn’t made for me because I’ve never read the Bible
It wasn’t made for me because I want to marry a woman, not a man
It wasn’t made for me because I’m not rich
It wasn’t made for me because I’ve never seen someone like me in government
It wasn’t made for me because people like me are erased from history
I know the USA was never made for me
Was it made for you?
(This is not one of the best things I’ve written but I needed to say it.)

Create a restorative space with relaxed yet elevated spring wall art.
Living room wall art canvas -With the warmer weather and longer days, you have a renewed sense of hope, joy, and creativity.
Which means, it’s time to throw open the curtains and refresh your décor to bring the lightness and optimism of spring into your home.
The decorating theme for Spring 2023 is creating restorative spaces.
Because it’s no secret that these past few years have taken an extreme toll on your mental and physical health.
But when you decorate your home for spring in a way that feels safe and comfortable, you are able to embrace life with a renewed sense of optimism and hope for the future.
So let’s get into it!
What are the top wall art trends for spring 2023?
These 5 trends in wall art for spring 2023 will help you create a restorative space that is both relaxed and elevated:
Muted Color Palettes
Soft Curved Shapes
Minimalism
Landscapes
Touches of Luxury
By incorporating these trends into your home décor, you will infuse your space with the essence of spring and create a home that inspires joy, rejuvenation, and creativity.
Whether you are looking for a complete design overhaul or just a few new accent pieces, these trends will help you create a springtime sanctuary that will lift your spirits and soothe your soul.
Spring Wall Art 2023 Wall Art Trends
Trend No. 01 Muted Color Palettes
Soft or muted color palettes evoke a sense of calm, comfort, and sophistication. When decorating for spring 2023 with the intention of creating a restorative space, choose wall art in pastels or muted tones. This makes your home feel relaxing and tranquil. Plus it adds an understated elegance often found in high-end design.
Spring 2023 Wall Art Color Crush: Blush
We’re predicting that Blush is going to be one of the most popular muted colors used while decorating in Spring 2023.
Blush – pale pink with warm undertones – creates a sense of calmness and serenity. It’s ideal for decorating in spaces where relaxation and restoration are the main focus.
Pantone’s Color of the Year 2023 is Viva Magenta. This bright shade of pink is lively, energetic, and stimulating. But her distant sister, Blush, is much softer and gentler. It’s the perfect, trending wall art color to decorate with this spring.
Say Goodbye to Sad Beige
For years the color trend has been all neutral, everything.
While neutral colors are associated with calm and rejuvenation, the absence of any accent color in an entirely neutral color scheme creates a washed out look.
Coined “sad beige” by influencers, the all neutral color scheme has gone viral on Tik Tok as a decorating style to avoid.
While it looks cohesive and elegant, the lack of color inadvertently increases the risk of feeling sad and hopeless.
If you are realizing that you have a “sad beige” color scheme in your home, lighten your décor and bring more joy by accenting with wall art in soft or muted color palettes, such as blush.
Trend No. 02 Soft Curved Shapes
Soft, curved shapes mimic the organic natural forms found in budding leaves and flowers. These gentle shapes are symbolic of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. Soft curved shapes in wall art promote a calm, soothing atmosphere – perfect décor for your restorative space this spring.
Trend No. 03 Minimalism
The simple shapes and clean lines of minimalist wall art create a sense of calm and order. This is important when decorating a space that gets cluttered quickly or has chaotic energy (like an entryway). As you create a restorative space this spring, minimalism artwork will bring balance and harmony to your home.
Trend No. 04 Landscapes
From forests to mountains and beaches, the expansive natural scenes in landscape art are awe-inspiring. Whether it’s a painting, photo, or digital re-creation, landscapes create a sense of relaxation and tranquility. This stunning perspective promotes feelings of groundedness and harmony with the natural world, even when indoors.
Trend No. 05 Touches of Luxury
Whether it’s something gold, a plush pillow, or an extra large piece of wall art, touches of luxury help lift your spirits and make your space feel more special. As you emerge from a dark winter and focus on creating a restorative space, touches of luxurious décor can boost your self-esteem and confidence – making you feel more positive and empowered. 🐝🐝Okay, just got done researching for my Hazbin OC; time to continue working on my world.
Last time I was working on the magic system here.
But now I'm going to start building the society.
As a recap we made:
Mimics & Tamers
Mimics can copy aspects of specific animals by replacing a part of their body with them.
Tamers can talk to and persuade animals to do their bidding.
__________
First off, let's decide what kind of setting it's going to be.
High Fantasy or Urban Fantasy?
I'd probably make a poll, but I know hardly anyone's gonna read this, and honestly idc.
Let's make it High fantasy, so I can have a giant beehive kingdom.
I'm thinking either the chosen live as nobles and there's a king chosen, or, there are multiple kingdoms with chosen ruling.
Either way, religion plays a major role in this world.
So maybe we have multiple theocracies, all centering around different animals.
Yes they are aware of the other gods, but they don't worship them.
This may also be a catalyst for war, so we'll keep that in mind.
Let's start with one, where the MC will come from.
gonna do a quick animal generator to figure out what they'll be.
Okay, they live in a horse theocracy. The leader can be a pope replacing their head for that of a horse, and his children can be the high priests and such.
Now then, I'm already thinking of story beats, but I'm choosing to hold off on that until I'm done.
We have a few questions that need answering:
Who is in charge?
What are the important laws?
Who are the important people?
What's the average life like there?
What's it's name?
What's it's military like?
How are they as a nation and as a people?
And lastly: HOW TF DOES A THEOCRACY FUNCTION????
Okay let's work on the last one. Theocracy's are forms of government controlled by religious beliefs, typically viewed as being ruled by their god(s). In actuality one guy says he speaks for the gods and really he's just using an old "get-rich-quick-scheme", abusing his role as "the gods chosen."
So lets put some of my "idk-how-I-got-it" religious trauma into this.
This'll explain why the horse chosen put his children in power, so he can control them.
Now if everyone believes in the same religion they could have one theocracy in the world, with different churches ruling land and worshiping a different god.
So this is where the story will start.
MC is in... Mare-y-ment, a land governed by the Equestrian Church. There the Children of the High Priest use their powers to bring the enemies into a disadvantage.
The eldest child (A Tamer) is made Head of Military, and uses Their abilities to cause the enemy horses to run away on the battle field.
Some Mimics sneak into enemy camps at night and shapeshift into horses (by replacing their entire body with that of a horse).
Okay so we figured out what it's military is like (or rather their main battle strategy), it's name (Mare-y-ment), the important people (Children of the Horse chosen), and who's in charge (Horse Chosen).
Now all that's left is What's the average life like there, the important laws, and what are they like as a nation and as a people.
I imagine the finances are evenly spread out, the church would have more money yes, but the commoners aren't as poverish.
I'm not gonna say they make horses stop doing labour, but rather treat them better. So no whips, or continuous strenuous activity without break, if a horse collapses they let it take a break and bring it to the church.
The day the Horse Chosen was... well... chosen, it was marked as a holiday. I'll decide on how the festivals work another day.
So I'm making a pretty good place to live... I'm gonna ruin it.
They say power corrupts, and I shall make it true:
Laws:
Obviously there should be death sentences, so those who kill or disobey orders are to be fed to the soil the Horses eat from.
Or yk, the ripping limbs apart with horses death sentence they carried out in medieval times... when was that?
idk it's taking too long.
... I honestly have no idea how the laws should go, I'm not that kind of bee person.
Maybe a third of every households crops have to go to the church?
I can't think of much that could allow the church to be... well... corrupt.
In our history, one of the things the church did was make people pay for reconciliation, changing even the bible to make people think after life there's only heaven or hell.
So... maybe they lie about the Horse gods wishes saying she wants... 60% of every households finances, even tho he can just raise the taxes, doing this makes people more willing to do it.
Maybe if someone rejects the Horse Chosen's advances he says the Horse God wants them specifically to be a sacrifice, and burns their body.
... Actually that's probably how witches came about.
__________
Next I'm gonna go over general ideas for this world instead of painfully going over every single nation.
Chosen's probably wed their children into other houses to increase influence as well as population of those powers.
The first chosen is the strongest, when they die the god chooses another and increases their strength.
The only thing Tamers have going for them is their status as "Child of X" or smth, but when they fall from grace they're only slightly above a surf.
NO MAGIC SCHOOLS!!! happen too often and it implies a large majority of people can do magic. If anything they're either taught from their parent(s) or they figure things out on their own.
And this is taking too long, I'll figure more out another time.
If you have ideas or suggestions or advice, feel free to tell me.
I'm posting this now, and maybe editing it another time.
_____
Finally editing it after 3 days when I remembered to add a summary of what's been covered.
Magic System:
Mimics can copy the abilities of animals
Tamers can control animals
Both are chosen by gods of the animals.
When a chosen dies, the god chooses another.
Society:
Equestrian Church runs a theocracy
I'm planning on making it corrupt
although I don't know how
