childhood, boyhood, youth. and brotherhood. | elzer and the ragbros headcanon
i MUST get a confirmation that elzer had a significant role in diluc's and kaeya's life when they were children, less as a helper in the winery, and more as their older brother figure. there must be some events surrounding the 3 of them especially during those days spent in the winery. we know crepus took him in for work when he was a young lad, older than diluc, yes, but not that much older, i dare assume. a good few years between them would make elzer a perfect candidate for the older brother figure diluc never had considering he himself was one after kaeya joined the ragnvindr family. and so, i like to imagine elzer as the favorite target of teasing of the two younger boys, target of silly pranks and random, weird, and sometimes uncomfortable questions, but also as their beacon of maturity and someone worth respecting, someone whose word would inspire awe and would ever so often serve as the only truth. and in truth, i am an older sibling myself, so i can't quite imagine it, but perhaps some of you can, as i heard it was spoken of - the image of an older sibling in the younger's eyes - a god, and idol and a rival all in one. i imagine it was like that with elzer and the ragbros. elzer tells them a story, a scary myth, a legend, to scare them on purpose (because, sometimes, most of the times, it is PURE joy to mess around with youngsters), kaeya says it's bullshit, no such thing exists. diluc agrees, obviously. and yet they find themselves later that day, or more precisely, late in the night, hiding under diluc's blanket and wondering if said legend might be true after all. in any case, neither of them fall asleep that night, nor the ones after, and neither show or speak of their suspicions and fear, especially not in front of elzer.

im glad im not the only one with the diluc x baker!reader fic living in their head rent-free 🫠
oh you’re DEFINITELY not the only one suffering from baker!luc brainrot, let me tell you that 😭
i’ll write some more ideas i have utc!
i’m just such a loser for diluc and domesticity. if you’re a regular at his shop, he probably gives you discounts on everything you purchase (not that he’d ever tell you).
“that’ll be £1.50.”
“ah… but i thought the sign said these were £5?”
“it’s on sale.”
it was not, in fact, on sale.
he has such a warm vibe/aura around him whenever he bakes. sitting back and watching him from where he works in the kitchen is a treat to those in the bakery.
his inspiration came from his father, crepus! now, crepus was never an official baker, but he used to make weekly rolls for the boys during the weekends. diluc always did love the smell of freshly baked goods.
he secretly yearns for your visit everyday, even if you don’t end up buying anything really.
would be disappointed if you didn’t show up :(
“what’s with the long face, diluc? special customer didn’t come in today, huh?”
“shut up, kaeya.”
but when you do, he subconsciously tries to impress you in any subtle way he can.
oh, you’re in? give him a second, he needs to tie his hair up nice and high to get it out of his face. a high ponytail, a bun.
even if his regular go-to style is a low ponytail.
oh? you’re staring? time to roll his sleeves up his elbows… he’s read that people usually like this detail, so perhaps…
source: the romantic novels hidden in his bookshelf.
“diluc… are you alright? your face seems flushed.”
“i-it’s nothing. must be the heat from the ovens, don’t worry.”
wait, you’re leaving? let him talk to you for a minute about the best deals and what else he can offer you.
oh, you’re leaving. wait for him, he isn’t busy and it’s rather late. it’s only best for him to walk you home :)

something I think about sometimes, but haven't yet had a story to use the thought in: I think if Kaeya wanted to win a fight against Diluc for some reason, in the present day, a good potential strategy for him would be to mostly dodge, but seem to take, a blow and pretend to be way more hurt by it than he is. Diluc freezes, and then he comes back up and takes advantage of the hesitation to take Diluc out

Thank you so much for sharing 'Wisdom of the Enneagram' with us. It's so interesting learning about the different types in depth and helpful for analyzing characters!
Recently, I've been trying to pinpoint the traveler. Do you have any thoughts on Aether's enneagram type? (#3) Thank you in advance <3
I'm answering this out of order because oh my God I did not think anyone actually paid attention to those tags HAHA. I can't believe you actually looked up that book I am honestly like both impressed and flattered. It is a super helpful book to understanding characters and their motivations.
[Character Analysis Ask Meme]
What is Aether's enneagram type?
Analysis below!
I'm going to answer your question in a more train of thought process because the Traveler is a really interesting character. They're meant to be a faceless character we can project ourselves on, but they certainly do have a personality. That being said, do we know enough about their personality to be able to pinpoint an ennea? If I have to be honest with you, I don't have a set idea of what they can be.
The best way to do process of elimination with ennea is to focus on the triads. What is their core emotion? Shame (heart triad), fear (head triad), or anger (gut triad)? Do they have issues with identity (heart triad), security/anxiety (head triad), or autonomy/control (gut triad)?
The hard thing about the Traveler is that the only time they show emotion is when it has to do with their sibling. But what else do we know about them? They don't like being tricked. They don't like being obligated to do things out of the goodness of their heart. They're friendly. They like cracking jokes. They like playing around.
I think, with what we're given, we can throw the heart triad out right from the start. The traveler shows no signs of shame. They have no issues with their self-image. Based upon their bond with their twin and Paimon, the answer seems to lean the most to wanting support and guidance. But can it be said their core emotion is fear? Could it possibly be anger instead?
Unfortunately I'm going to have to cheat a bit here and go based purely off of my knowledge of actual people and their types. If the traveler is a head type, the only type they can be is a 7. 5 and 6 simply are not their vibe. They'd probably be a 7w8. That being said, a 7's core aspects do not match that of the Traveler as seen above.
If the Traveler is a gut type, the only types they can be is a 9w8 or a 1w9. Simply put, they are not aggressive enough to be an 8. The argument for 9w8 is that... well... this type I fall to when most other types don't match. HAHA A 9w8 is primarily peace seeking, but won't hesitate to fight and assert themselves if they see the need to. The core aspects of a 9 match as well, as seen below.
The argument for 1w9, though, and also the one I'm leaning more towards is that 1s are very judgmental. And the Traveler is extremely judgmental. LOL 9w8s literally don't care. Just leave them alone. 1s, on the other hand, typically have superiority complexes. LOL Not to say that the Traveler does, but I digress. Unlike 9s, the Traveler does not hesitate to judge. They are self-driven and won't hesitate to make decisions based upon what they feel to be right. That being said, the core aspects do not match, at least with what we know of the Traveler currently.
So those are my picks as to their possible type. I am leaning more towards 1w9, even though we don't have enough canon evidence to support it. Probably a 1w9 so/sx. But if we go based off of canon evidence, they'd probably be a 9w8.
