even as someone who has technically I guess 'de/re-transitioned' I am so wary of detransition 'safe space' accounts. I see the way posts from these accounts get co-opted by those who would (and do) do harm to trans people and I often get nervous about the motives of the people running the accounts

#complicated feelings #anyways i thought one way of transitioned was what fit me and it ended up not #and i found another way that did! and that is okay!#i still identify as trans and i do not harbor ill will towards the people that mentored/helped me through my ftm transition #also i know there are really great detransition spaces out there !!! And rlly great people who are normalizing it #& just normalizing that its ok for your identity to change #i think ive just been burned by seeing some detransitioners weaponize their experience to try and ruin things for others #and ive seen accounts that are clearly transphobes trying to scare people about the affects of t and talking about natural femininity etc #so often these accounts are held up by terfs and radfems as examples of like. Idk people who 'saw the light'#etc. anyways. like i said complicated feelings
