Yes i haven't watched yet i know i know.

But here's an analysis no one asked for about why the wilds needed to have boys.

It Could Not Have Continued without the introduction of the boys. Very bold of me, i know.

But ultimately...gretchen is a scientist. A really shitty human but she's trying to prove a point. She's trying to say girls are better than boys. And in doing so, she created this entire social experiment to show that when faced with the worst, girls will band together and have a community. If it were girls in lord of the flies, none of that would have happened!

I would be very surprised to learn that people have taken a psych class and not heard of milgram and zimbardo but let me explain briefly anyway. Big names in social psych and two of the reasons why we now have institutional review boards with the standards that they have aka people who have to approve research to make sure it protects humans. Zimbardos prison experiment never should have gone on as long as it did because of the disastrous conditions that arose. Boys were randomly assigned guard or prisoner and very quickly the guards dehumanized and abused the prisoners because of their authority and power. Milgram also tested the role of authority but having someone in a lab coat tell participants to continue to administer shocks to someone even as they complained of heart pain. Suffice to say, many people complied, even going all the way to the death shock.

What's the point of me hashing out these experiments? Gretchen would know them. Gretchen would have learned about them. Hell she might even know zimbardo. And the thing is, as egregious as these were, they also majorly contributed to the field and THAT is why it matters. Gretchen is breaking so many ethical rules but she doesn't care because she thinks this is groundbreaking research and that she's gonna be commended for it. ( ofc she's going to lose absolutely everything when she tries to publish. As she should. I am by no means saying we should be doing anything like this. Most researchers would be like yeah we'd learn a lot but that's gonna harm humans so no. Gretchen said yes ❤️ ).

So what's the point of the boys? If Gretchen's entire thesis rests on this idea that girls are better than boys and will be more cooperative...she needs to compare them. I can get into all the other methodological issues like the fact that she self selected all these participants so she quite literally could have picked people that would give her the results she wanted ( and i would not put this past her ) or the fact that there was no randomization etc. But at the end of the day Gretchen needed a "control" group. The boys are this group. She needed to be like see!!! Look at how awful they are!!! Look at how much better the girls are!!! And without the boys that would be impossible. She won't let her life's work go down like that!!

i think i might have ocd

#had to say it #not gonna try to get diagnosed because (a) i don't have time (b) my intrusive thoughts are too much to talk about with anyone rn and (c) i #dont want to get stuck with a diagnosis like that for the rest of my life #because it feels so much more official and permanent than good old depression and anxiety. like i could never get over this #but i just wanted to put it out there into the universe that I'm like 99% sure if i described what's going on with me rn to a doctor they #would diagnose me with ocd. wild.#once i started thinking about it i wrote down a list of compulsions and it was like a full page long #i barely even think about them as weird because theyre so familiar to me but i do them constantly -- like probably hundreds of times a day #and most are textbook ocd stuff like even down to which numbers my brain registers as like. safe numbers to count to. like the number 4 is #good powers of 2 are good etc. and i touch light switches and doorknobs a certain number of times and i count my steps and the words i read #and i count how many times i blink and look at people so it all comes out right #and beneath all of that control is just a whole pit of obsessive anxious thoughts i can't control. so.#now i know that this is a Real Issue and not just my generalized anxiety being spicy #idk. maybe ill find help in some informal way that doesnt involve a psych eval lol #it's good to know this about myself

⌗ as a person who dealt with the loss of those he allowed into his life, having brought his walls down for them.. i do think sephiroth might have developed a bit of overprotective behavior — which honestly, is expected..

⌗ he doesn’t want to lose you or for any harm to come your way. whether losing you refers to death.. or to someone else — he doesn’t want any of that to come to fruition.

⌗ everything in life he cherished has been taken from him and you are not about to be one of them..

⌗ normally he’s as cool as a pickle if you’re talking to someone else, but there’s this aura emitting from him.. one look at sephiroth and the innocent bystander is practically shaking in their boots.

⌗ you of course — would be confused as hell on this.. i mean when sephiroth pulls you closer, you just assume he wants proximity..

⌗ until you go home, that is, and he’s just holding you without any means of letting go.. it’s silly, watching that subtle, yet visible pout of his and the furrow to his brows and all is understood

⌗ sometimes it’s a little more than an inescapable hug and turns into a storm of kisses — perhaps even a mark or few would be left in his wake.. but nothing that makes you uncomfortable cuz he doesn’t want to hurt or force you into anything. consent!!

⌗ while he has selfish desires and would prefer to have you all to himself, he values boundaries and freedom — it’s something he wasn’t given and he isn’t about to take that away from you, too.

⌗ now uh, post nibelheim sephiroth.. he is a different case cuz he’s under the influence of jenova cells — which are obviously making him do some wild stuff..

⌗ following the concept that you would have said cells opens up the opportunity to mess with you a bit, as a means of getting you to execute his whims. kinda like he does with cloud..

⌗ he’s aware you’re trying to take him back and save him from what he’s become, and uses that to his advantage. you would do anything for him, wouldn’t you?

⌗ slowly, he would isolate you from your companions — they want him gone, anyway, but you don’t. you couldn’t sit with the idea of your lover being gone, even in spite of all he had done.

⌗ you told yourself it wasn’t him, and it was true, it wasn’t. for that.. you wished to continue your attempts at saving him, even if it was a descent into madness..

⌗ gradually, you are succumbing to his words, allowing them to reshape the view you had made for yourself.

⌗ he was right, anyway. the humans who blindly believed in shinra- were the ones that gave the company the power and means of further destroying the planet for their glory. sephiroth was right in almost every way to execute the goals he made for himself.

⌗ he only ever appeared briefly to you, his caresses leaving enough of a linger to leave you touch starved — yearning for contact.

⌗ the one winged angel only whispered soon in that velvety tone of his, a reassurance of the reunion that would be upon you both in time.

⌗ but at times, you pressed, pleading for just another second — minute or few of his time.. and with that desperation in your voice, the expression that crosses your features, how could he refuse you?

⌗ he would spare his precious time and entertain you a moment longer, indulging just a bit in you, and himself, of course. but once more leaving you lingering, longing for more.

notes. not one for writing yandere oriented content, so i hope this was okay and fulfilling enough since i watered it down quite a bit :’) just not super comfy associating him with the qualities of a yandere..

I have a brain rot for sage, hes challenging the chain for their time with player/reader, he basically wants all His/Her/Them's attention, of course none of the chain and sage are going to "play" fair their going to cheat no matter what. the only ones he might not win against is time, FD and maybe twilight. wind, four, Hyrule, and sky would do sad puppy eyes to get cuddle time, twilight and legend turn into their animal form to get pettings, sage and wild would cook food to get points for being delicious. (etc.etc.) just some yandere shenanigans for attention. the challenges he did were sword fighting, bow and arrow targeting, sparing, arm wrestling, and so forth.

Okay, last one for the night! I figured since this isn't really a request, I could spitball some more of my headcanons for our beloved Sage.

Jk it delted itself so I gave up and went to bed bc last time I tried to push through I wasn't happy with the end product, so sorry for the delay!

For those of you who don't know, Sage is another name for the Tears of the Kingdom Link--dubbed Hero of the Zonai-- should we decide he is not in fact Wild.

For the Wild and Facesitting request, it's in progress I promise! I try to go in order with my requests, but like I said, this is more headcanons versus a scenario. It should be out tomorrow later today so look out for that ;)

ANYWAY-

Y'all. The amount of Sage requests in my inbox right now? You guys are feral for this man and I love it. So I'm here to feed you guys.

TotK spoilers below!

・❥・Okay, so lemme start this off by saying. I have done you all wrong. And for that I apologize.

・❥・Because our wonderful @wayfayrr has opened my eyes to new possibilities that I would've never even thought of. So everyone say thank you rn >:(

・❥・So let's make some amendments!

・❥・First off, let's talk about nicknames. I love the idea that Reader, and only Reader, can call him anything other than Sage. And calling him other herb-related nicknames? Kills me. He is a flushing red mess the first time it happens. You had deemed him worthy of a nickname? You considered him person enough to have a moniker that wasn't also a title? If he was down bad before, it's so much worse now. Because you see him as a person. He's sure the others just see him as a means to the end. The second one of them, maybe save Wind, try it, he's shooting them daggers and snarling at them for even daring to try and impeach your privilege. (I also love the Calm, Wild and Feral thing, I thought that was so freaking clever.)

・❥・And you know how each of the hero's have their own 'sword' right? Well, what if Sage's was the Master Sword Remastered? Like Sky's (Like most of their Master Swords actually) but now it's been boosted by ten thousand years worth of direct light magic. (Does the Zonai time fall before Skyward Sword or after? I have no idea where they fall on the timeline tbh.). Just a thought. It could also be a gloom sword which probably wouldn't effect him as hard in other timelines because there's no demon king to power it, but it probably does hurt the others if they try to touch it.

・❥・Now, the juicy part. Let's retouch on Wild's and Sage's relationship. I originally said that Sage was okay with him? I lied. Wayfayrr has opened my eyes.

・❥・Sage probably can't fucking stand Wild. As they said, this is a version of him that didn't have this second adventure. Got to rest and distant himself from the Hero Title. And that just pisses him off. Why did he get the shittier hand? Why did he have to do it all over again? Why when this failure got to get off easy? Why couldn't he have the same grace, huh? What made them so different?

・❥・And if we're using the past oneshot (Here!) as they're 'canon' meeting, this filth let you get hurt. You were hurt before meeting him, which means that they can't be trusted with you. Especially Wild. So Sage cannot stand you being near Wild. At all. It eats at him and he doesn't last long before splitting the two of you up.

・❥・Calamity is even worse. There is probably an active hate towards Calamity (In this Yandere world, in a normal, not toxic world? They probably work out their differences a little better). This was a version of him who didn't even have to die to complete his quest. And this just shows that Fraud has favorites and it's not him.

・❥・You know who else he probably doesn't like? Twilight. Now, hear me out. This is purely me just spitting this out, but Sage has to be aware. He listens when they don't think he does, he's awake when they think he's not, he's watching when they don't even know he's there.

・❥・So he probably picks up on all of their little secrets. Meaning he knows Twilight is Wolfie. And (I think this is Canon is LU but I'm not sure) Wild had Wolfie as a guide. Which means Sage had Wolfie as a guide. The difference? When he needed him the second time, left stumbling around like a newborn fawn crawling out of the shrine all over again, he was left alone. He was fighting robots with a fucking Stick. He fused a mushroom to a shield just to buy himself more time. At one point, he was fusing a long stick to another long stick just to fight from a distance to save his battered body. Rauru did as much as he could, but there were some times he wished he was left for dead.

・❥・Not anymore as that means he would've never met you, but then? different story.

・❥・They also brought up that Sage probably doesn't stop at just cooking your food and I agree. When on the road, he for sure goes straight to the source. If he doesn't know exactly where it came from, it's not going anywhere near his Goddess. Nope. Not a chance in the gloomy depths from hell.

・❥・He's going to farmers themselves rather than merchants for produce, hunting any protein himself, climbing trees for eggs, he probably even makes his own butter. Now, because he's also cooking savy this for sure makes the rivalry between him and Wild widen. Wild is set in his cook for the chain, not you. Sage can't trust them to not hurt you again. Whose to say they don't over spice the food? Or undercook the fish? Or drop shells into the egg?

・❥・He can't trust them and may force you to pick one of the other. Depending on who you chose, he'll either hold his victory up high or work even harder to separate you from the chain. Can't you see, Reader? They aren't good for you.

・❥・When it comes to the Gloom, he for sure uses to his advantage. You know he's been infected, but you don't know how much light he's gathered to dispel it. At this point, he's probably gotten most, if not all of it, out, but you don't know that. And he preys on that fact.

・❥・Oh, the Traveler wants to down to the river with you? But, Reader, there's something rotten in his chest and he's stumbling against trees, exaggerating his steady steps just in case to really sell it. He needs you by his side, can't you see?

・❥・Oh, the captain is trying to get you to settle with him for the night? But, Reader, he's tossing and turning, feigning sleep and acting just enough to catch your attention. He's listening, ears pricked, just to hear you swiftly apologize before your gently hands are laying on his shoulders and he's won again.

・❥・And because his Hyrule is one of, if not the most dangerous Hyrules, he's given so much ammo to keep you tethered to him. You can't trust anyone, don't you know? The Yiga uptake has skyrocketed and they are everywhere, along with Ganon's new ability to make puppets? Can't you see how you can't trust any of them?

・❥・He even entertains you when you come up with the idea to have a secret saying between just the two of you as a fail safe. (It's probably something like 'Deforestation Enthusiast' because of how the two of you met.) Anything to have you pulling further away from the Chain and into his arms.

・❥・If it begins to take longer than expected, Sage is not above letting you wander just enough in his Hyrule. Maybe you set off a bit of Gloom hands (Or maybe he nudges them in your direction, hard to tell, really) and they go charging at you. The others don't know how to deal with them, but he does. He saves your life before the others even know what hit them. He's cooing into your ear, reassuring that where the others fail, he would never dream of it. He's whispering that he knows how scary the feeling of those hands are. He knows how freezing the feeling of sudden restriction, only accompanied by the burning sizzle of malice, is. He knows and he understands, but he's right here. He'd never let anything happen to you. Not like the other frauds.

・❥・Now, all that being said, Sage for sure does not play fair. Oh no. He does challenge them in his own ways, but does it in a way that can only reflect badly on them should they call him out on it.

・❥・He's fighting (Picking apart) with Wars and Calamity on their sparring routines, angling it in just a way that should they snap back he can turn on the innocent little look with a 'But I'm just trying to protect you. I don't know how any of you fight, I'm still learning.' Just in time for you to catch them barking at him to 'Learn faster' and it just falls perfectly into place.

・❥・He's calling out Twi and Four every time they try to wander off (Probably to bring out Wolfie or split to relieve a headache of sorts) because 'The woods are dangerous, what are they doing going off alone?' and now they can't leave because all eyes are on them and he's restricting their movement without even really trying. They wanna go foraging? But he and ...Wild were their best foragers and they were busy with dinner (That was something bitter to get out).

・❥・And wow, Time, Legend and Fierce have so many secrets, can you really trust them? Sage has laid down his entire adventure to you, and regardless if Reader is a LoZ player and knows of them regardless, Sage told you. Those two are trying to hide from you. He would never.

・❥・Wind, Hyrule and that filthy disgrace want to drag you along to go Shield surfing? Reader, do you know how dangerous that is? Especially with someone's track record. Here, you wanna go riding on this motorized wagon he just happens to have on hand? (Between the Zonite in his Purah pad, he can build any component necessary.)

・❥・Not even Sky and First are safe as he uses carefully laid words to sully their once golden image towards you. Afterall, they're so close to Hylia, whose to say they aren't behind all of this?

・❥・Now, you said that the only ones he may not win against are Time, Fierce and Twilight, but like I said, I can imagine him loathing Twilight, so instead, may I suggest First.

・❥・Time and Fierce are both pretty burly dudes that demand some semblance of respect and while Sage has muscles, he's not overly tall. So while he doesn't bow, he may just back off from their forefront for a while.

・❥・Now, First. He's probably the only one who can put Sage back in his place of the hierarchy. It's the first in the timeline, versus the last (As of right now). And it's not pretty. They probably go to blows a few times when you're out of ear shot.

・❥・The problem is that First can only push him back when you're out of ear shot and Sage makes it a point to keep you as close as humanly possible.

・❥・And while yes, some of them may use puppy eyes, Sage is not above using pity to get what he wants because he just hurts so badly don't you know?

・❥・He unfortunately can't do anything about wolves or rabbits. If they manage to disappear before he can call them out on it, he's left bitterly sulking as Wolfie laps at your cheeks or dumb rabbits nose at your hand. He may know who they are, but not even he's cruel enough to call them out (Yet) because that would just pit you against him. They weren't his secrets to tell, you would scold, and he just couldn't handle that possibility.

・❥・The biggest difference between Sage and Wild, one that the chain will fail to realize right away, is that Sage is much more experienced. He is on his second, THIRD if you count the pre-calamity, adventure. He knows everything Wild does, and more. Wild knows how to improvise and adapt, Sage can do it faster. Wild knows how to forage and concoct incredibly potent elixirs? Sage can do it tenfold with half the ingredients. He knows all the little tips and tricks and is not only backed up by the champion's gifts-- should they have remained-- but now he has the sages with him.

・❥・Like imagine their mid-battle, they had forced you away from Sage just to create some distance (At long last) and mans comes rolling in a giant fucking robot. He's using Sidon's sage to shield you over and over again and decimating a battle field using nothing but Riju and an arrow. Hell, the bigger enemies are struck down by Yunobo crashing into them. Sage alone is enough to cut the enemy hordes in half through recall and sending their own attacks back at them or fusing together weapons they wouldn't have ever dreamed of with new abilities. Even his outfits give him benefits far beyond anything they could think.

・❥・You saw him as someone more than just Link. He wasn't just the Swordsman to you when that was who he was to everyone else. You dubbed him something far beyond what a damned sword made him.

・❥・And he would have to be four days dead before letting you go.

・❥・And as he's proven before, Not even death could truly kill him.

I am so glad I waited bc I like this one so much more than the one that was deleted.

hi ✨ i know that usually you’re the one that gets the prompts and writes on them but can i just give my two cents on the recent events regarding noah’s behavior on tour because there’s literally no one i can discuss this with, so naturally i need to share and i feel like this here is a safe and fun space to do that.

i know how everyone has this image of what noah’s like in a relationship or in bed or whatever and that’s okay, we can all imagine and that’s what i’m here do to today, but you CANNOT tell me this man is not fucked, foul and twisted because

1. breathing into the mic AUDIBLY right after the “the way you fuck, the way you taste” lyric is nothing close to innocent and i am pretty sure he knows what he’s doing

2. spitting in the air after “so i can look you in the eye when i spit in your face” NUMEROUS times. i’m just gonna say that he knows. spitting is spicy and he knows.

3. that devilish grin he gave right before the growl in dethrone in Austin. uhm. yeah, sadistic, sick and twisted.

also this man feeds off of dark shit. he has said it himself a couple of times. when it comes down to anime, he loves watching the really dark stuff. we know he works on the aesthetics of the band a lot and the primary colors are black, red and grey. the visuals are dark. carrying an axe around a dark hallway? wearing a ski mask for fun? and all black outfits all the time? man loves horror movies as well. im positive he’d be down to chase you down an alley wearing a mask and carrying a knife, ghostface style.

also keeping his composure and having a really cool aura and being quiet while also sounding firm and diplomatic. SCREAMS dom. but like a pleasure dom cause we know he’s the clitmaster3000.

oh yeah, i’m not even gonna mention the fact that he lowered his voice when he said “good. GOOD JOB” when he asked the crowd to make a line for the mosh pit. mans got a praise and degradation kink and no one can tell me otherwise. he loves control and he loves exercising it in all ways possible.

okay, thanks. sorry if that was too much but i can’t stop thinking about it and it makes SO MUCH sense in my head and i need to know if somebody else is gonna agree with me. bye 🦦

Thor is banished, stripped of his powers, and forced to live in Midgard for many years. What kind of life do you think Thor would built on Earth?

Aaaaaa this is such a fun question!!

Short answer is im not so sure lol

Longer more rambling answer full of personal headcanons under the cut :)

I mean, i presume this is after loki visits thor on earth and lies to him about frigga forbidding him from returning. Im also working under the assumption that thor doesnt actually hear from anyone from his old life again, because adding them in doesnt really feel in the spirit of the question imo.

Short term we know from canon that he feels directionless and initially focuses his energy on helping jane with her research. Thors a smart guy, and could probably help jane fill in some of the blanks in her research before she has observational evidence of like, asgard existing.

I think initally he would crash with jane, and would look into getting his own place, probably in new mexico because he's started making connections there.

Personally i headcanon that thors lightning powers manifest as a sixth sense, in that he would be able to sense electricity around him (kind of like how some sharks do with ampullae of lorenzini). So i reckon that losing that specific sense would initally be really hard to adjust to, but he would adjust.

*note. This is about where i searched "what is there to do in new mexico" because all i know about the place are it's in a thor movie and the roswell thing happened there also i kinda wanna go hiking and stargazing in new mexico now*

Honestly i think that, early on at least, thor would spend a lot of free time stargazing, partly from homesickness and partly bc apparently new mexicos an amazing place to do that. I think he would spend most nights looking up at the stars wondering if his loved ones are looking down at him.

He would probably initally make ends meet doing some sort of manual labour, maybe something with horses. He might not have asgardian strength anymore but hes still a pretty big guy. He could probably still tame a wild horse if he really wanted to (i dont know how strong you have to be to do that).

In terms of like, long term life goals, im not entirely sure. Thors entire life up to this point was about assuming the throne, and now he has to not only let the past 1000 years ago, he has to build an entire new life from the ground up. I think what would be especially challenging is the lack of time (assuming he's been turned mortal and only has like 50-60 years left). I think that realisation would force him to look inwards and figure out what he really wants in life.

To me, thor at his core is a good man. He likes helping people. He needs that sense of purpose. I think he would end up building quite a charitable life for himself. Maybe he moves, maybe he stays in new mexico, truly i have no idea. But i think at the core of his life is the need to do honest, meaningful work that benefits people.

You’re completely fine! Keeping my brain busy rn with the request lol. ALSO YOUR MIND?! SO BIG BRAINED! Now I have to force the entire chain + the triplets (Wild, Sage, Cal) into a fashion show with reader, Malon, and Ravio as the outfit choosers!

A/N+Warnings: safe for everyone. We are gettin’ silly with this one. Written by Mishwanders - pls do not repost.

How in Hylia’s name did you convince the entire Chain to do a fashion show in Times living room? Truly, it baffled Time how much power you held over them with just a simple pout and puppy dog eyes (not to mention Malon was also helping you with that - make him extra weak to BOTH of you. Ravio not so much, but the Vet seemed to cave for him). He and the others caved quickly from the look on you threes faces to say the least.

Between Wild and his new found counterpart, Sage, they had more than enough outfits to go around for each of the Chain. You, Malon, and Ravio we’re going through the pile of the clothes, tossing them to each person, matching up the outfits you all thought suited them best. Time shook his head as you looked up at him from the floor, that mischievous plotting grin on your lips made him realize he was in for trouble.

“You’re wearing this!” You shouted, tossing him what looked like a set of Vai clothes from the Gerudo.

“And this!” Malon said, tossing something else at him that seemed a bit heavier even if there was little clothing. The skull head piece definitely added to the weight of it.

Time looked at you both in disbelief. “You can’t be serious.”

“Oh what’s wrong old man, too cucco?” Sage asked with a sly grin.

Oh no. He was not going to let the new Link call him a cucco. Not by a longshot. He huffed at his response. “No, I just don’t want to rip this nice fabric of yours and Wilds.”

Wild shrugged. “I think you’re fine, they haven’t ripped yet and I’ve fought Lynels in those!”

Cal’s eyes widened at the mere thought of his counter part wearing little-to-no armor against a Lynel of all things. “You WHAT?!”

“Don’t worry, we deal with much worse in the future.” Sage commented.

That made Wild’s head turn on a swivel. “We DO?!”

While the triplets were in their own little world, Time felt your hands pushing against his chest, trying to get him to move towards the stairs. “The others are almost done changing, now go! Get ready!”

“Alright, alright, I’m going, I’m going.” He chuckled.

Time made his way up the stairs to change, finding some of the others already dressed in the armor sets. Wars had dawned on the “ancient armor” as Wild called it - some reminiscent of those guardians he and Cal had discussed on length about. Sky was wearing the Snowquil set, happy as can be to be wearing something reminiscent of a bird, and Twilight was wear the Mining set, one that looked almost as heavy as Times armor.

“So which one did they give you?” Legend ask, coming out from behind the closet wearing the Zora armor.

Time held up the Vai pants, to which the other snickered.

“Get your laughs out now.” Time said, removing his own clothes and getting dressed into the Vai ones. “At least I make the clothes look good.”

Warriors shakes his head with a chuckle. “If there was one thing you were never short on, it’s confidence.”

“And height.” Time added, placing hair up in the golden tie.

There was a knock at the door before it opened, Four came in wear the Voe outfit, Hyrule with the Flamebreaker, and Wind with the climbing gear. Four looked around at them all and waved them all to come out. “Come on, they’re ready for us!”

The Chain filled out of the room into the hall, each one taking their walk (or rather, strut) down the steps to the lower floor. There was a series of cheers, ohs, ahs, and laughs as each one made their way down, striking different poses. The triplets even went down in an interesting series of fits that reminded Time of those dragons in Wild’s realm. Wild was wearing the blue Frostbite one, Cal in the red Ember one, and Sage in the green Charged one. When it grew to Time’s turn, he went down with Four, both of them striking a pose in their Gerudo outfits. Seeing the look of glee on your face as you snapped a photo of it and the pleasantly surprised one of Malon’s made it all feel worth it.

“Okay, now, OUTFIT NUMBER TWO!” Ravio spoke up. “Go back upstairs, you’ve got 5 minutes to change!”

The fact that they were all set on an imaginary time limit caused them all to rush back upstairs to their clothes to change. Time was quick to change out of his and into the Barbarian one, but he knew he was going to falter with the body paint. There was only one thing he could do to make sure it was on before their limit was up.

He needed to ask for help.

Time strolled down the stairs with the purple paint and paint brush in hand. You and Malon both turned at the sudden sound of his footsteps, looking at him with wide grins at his new outfit.

“Could you help with the body paint? I don’t know where it all goes.” He stated, swallowing what pride he might have contained.

You ran back up the stairs, grabbing the Purah Pad form Sage. Malon took the paint and began to paint the marks on him once you got a picture pulled up. Time felt his face turn Ruby red as you and Malon both meticulously worked around his body like this and he could have swore he heard the snap of the Sheikah slate from somewhere amidst the room (most likely Ravio - Time knew he was going to have to beg Wild to remove that evidence somehow). Regardless, it didn’t seem like you or Malon noticed the way you both had him flushed hotter than a Goron spring in his attempt to contain his embarrassment under this situation. But you two worked fast and thankfully the paint dried easily. As you two stepped back, admiring your work (and him), you both nodded in approval, praising how good it looked.

“You do look good!” Ravio spoke up.

Time did a double take. Did Ravio really just say that?!

“What are you wearing?!” Wars voice came from the stairs and Time could have swore he heard the click of high heels -

Time turned around to face him, seeing him dressed up in a pink wing that covered his eyes with a tall mushroom hat that almost hit the ceiling, along with varying other pieces of clothing. Time laughed at how absurd the captain looked. “What am I wearing?! What are you wearing?!”

“It’s called fashion.” Sage countered, coming down in his ancient knights outfit.

“Yes, yes, you all look good - but now we got reveal time, so go back up stairs and get in your positions!”

The chain did as you instructed, each one other in a single file line this time. Here was the line up: Twilight in the Zonait armor; Warriors strutting in his CeCe’s amalgamation; Sky in the Glide, flapping his wings happily like a bird; Wild sneaking in with the Sheikah stealth armor; Sage of course in his ancient knights outfit; Cal wearing his fancy lad royal guard outfit (one he was very comfortable in); Legend in the Mystic outfit, feeling reminiscent of his magical rabbit form; Hyrule and Wind both bumping into each other because they were unable to see with the Depths and Phantom armor on; Four crawling on the ceiling wearing the Frogfy fit, and finally, Time in the Barbarian armor.

Needless to say, the room was full of cheers and laughs as they all witnessed each pose and outfit.

To say the night stopped there - well, it didn’t.

After the little fashion show, some of the others switched their outfits to their favorite ones and took to the back of Lon Lon Ranch, resting out the abilities of each one. Things might have gotten a little destructive - no animals or buildings were harmed in the making of said destruction - but there is now a permanent crater in the back of Lon Lon Ranch, one that Time intended to fill with water and fish later.

It was an entertaining night to say the least. But hey, at least everyone got to relax for once.

It was fun.

The Sign and it's Magic and some WILD arse theories

This is not meta this is me cataloguing my brains current tracking of The Sign and it's magic - plus some wild ass theories I AM SO EXCITED (I also know nothing about the mythology/stories on which any of this is loosely based) (If anyone has done or does meta on this, particularly the magic stuff I am SUPER curious but not the best at scrolling tumblr rn so feel free to tag me)

Okay SO

So green eyed stabby boy got green eyed RIGHT AFTER Phayas necklace broke off so it's reasonable to conclude these thins are connected

He ?wasn't a willing vessel, did the Mors essence somehow sneak in with the purpose of killing Phaya

Then we had Tharn use magic while grasping HIS necklace (his necklace which I have NOT been paying enough attention to)

Phaya burned green eyed Mor (revealing his green eyes) AFTER the necklace got put back on, but I am PRETTY SURE Phaya has touched him before then, so that suggests something happened to awaken his powers, presumably the same thing that awakened Tharns (what is that thing? Stress? Proximity? Time?)

@plantsarepeopletoo pointed out we had water dream for Tharn and FIRE dream for Phaya which is FASCINATING especially with the reveal of the giant (?fire?) bird at the end of the ep that is presumably Phaya

Question

Has the necklace been suppressing their powers? - things changed when Phaya's got broken and then Tharn ripped his off to throw that punches

Random Thoughts

Okay so we have been repeatedly told that Tharn did very bad things in his past life and the Karma of that means he should have died as a child, and is still constantly in danger (and maybe even his parents paid the partial price with their deaths...).

We know Green Eyes is possessive of him and currently the doctor, and presumably has always been the doctor and presumably knows who Tharn was. (Abbot seems to know this?)

Tharn is a ?water spirit, I know nothing. Seems to be not disimilar from a siren who lures men to their deaths

We had the cop dead in the second ep (I think) in the ocean, still not clear if suicide but that Phaya investigated and was then lured out to sea - siren links

Green Eyes is the water dragon

and then Phaya is a fire bird? pheonix?

(OH MY GOD THE WINGS, THE TATOO, THE FOESHADOWING AHHHH)

Wild Ass Theories

OKAY SO lets assume Past Tharn and Past Doctor are both water spirits/gods, they were bound together in some way (married? or the mythological inter-being equivelent?).

Past Tharn lured men to their deaths (siren thoughts, linked to the man who died and the fact that Phaya got lured out into the ocean - also might explain the bad karma)

Past Tharn lures in Fire spirit bird who is injured, something something something they fall in love.

Green eyes isn't okay with this for a multitude of reasons shit goes down and ?everyone dies

Details unknown, looks like we're getting backstory next ep

BUT

We do know that Past!Phaya is also someone past!Tharn wronged right? so maybe past!tharn betrayed his love in the end, and that is how they died... or maybe past!Tharn killed himself after his love died as a result of Tharns betrayal...Maybe even swearing that in his next life he would give his own life before letting him die again (thereby explaining the focus of the visions)

Did green eyes die at all then or has he been living on, waiting for his love (Tharn) to reincarnate?

Phaya seems to be getting at least some memories back, more than Tharn so far. Phaya remembers him as a siren and now he remembers his past self too at least a little. Of course this is a dream, it may well be only half remembered when he wakes.

Other Thoughts

Of course this show also has a whole crime thriller thing which I am loving and I have thoughts and questions about that too, but they're mostly magic related... (why the vision of Tharns dad at THAT moment? was the truck vision of his dad, cause the show seemed to imply it was though his visions are normally future. Although he also saw that girl die which was in the past and seemed to be about proximity and perhaps the strength of her emotions idk. So what about that proximity triggered the vision)

I think that's emptied my brain, thankfully, GOSH I LOVE THIS SHOW

It’s so wonky trying to figure out a good ‘lore’ for my oc/self insert that could work with many blorbos and I think I finally got it down but then I’m like ugh you’re making a Mary sue AND WHO CARES this is just for in my brain why does it matter ;-;

Growing up in the Mary sues are awful era really made it so anytime I wanna make my oc interesting I’m like oh is it too much? Too op? Too cool of a backstory? But she’s for my brain so why does it matter

It’s wild tho I’ve always used her in my brain but one piece is the one that’s really stuck and made me wanna think of her background in relation to that

I think my struggle rn is in all the time I’ve had her she’s always had like wind powers. So does she eat a devil fruit, but idk if I want her to eat one bc then she can’t swim, but that doesn’t seem within the realm of normal powers in the op universe without eating a devil fruit. And I have another option so it’s not like the only thing, it just seems weird since that’s what she always had.

I’m over complicating it I’m sure bc this is literally just for my own personal enjoyment but still my brain wants to be logical about it for some reason 🙄🙄

I also find one piece outfits kind of difficult bc it’s such a mix of modern and older styles I’m like what won’t look weird

Ah, but honestly - I think you should proudly write a character who bends or breaks whatever rules you want them too. It’s fun, for one, hurts absolutely no one for two - whether you keep it to yourself or share your stories.

RP communities often have guidelines, so unless you’re dealing with that, who cares? Have fun \o/

Write cringe diamonds, cringe trash, Mary Sue v 1.0 or 2.0 or whatever. Relish the x reader and the self insert. Have one bat wing and one angel wing or whatever and your character is the cause of wars she’s so godsdamned gorgeous- just

Enjoy whatever you do.

If she has wind powers from birth that’s not too out there anyway. The Minks all light up like Tesla Coils from birth, there’s no reason there can’t be another tribe - rare or lost or whatever - that had something similar. Hells, what’s his face winged-angel-gimp-daddy has magic fire powers.

And also I think it’d be great if she let people think she had a DF and then just like, yote herself into the sea for whatever reason.

I am bored bored bored bored bored and I don’t want to write about the things actually on my mind or happening in my life so I’m just going to critique this chart reading someone did for me a couple days ago

according to this person I AM going to get married just late…. like I shouldn’t stress for about 4 more years. and tbh a part of me is like “nooooo I want to be a young and beautiful bride” but if I shut that part up that sounds p ideal.

also told me to avoid dating anyone with Gemini placements…… girl everyone I’ve ever so much as had a crush on has Gemini placements. with the exception of my ex fiancé. I vibe with Gemini moons almost exclusively. the girl I have a crush on rn has a Gemini moon and I think it was the same day I got this reading that she told me she wants to kill me over and over. literally HOW am I supposed to turn that down. I’m only human faerie after all

mentioned that I need to be careful who I let close to me because a lot of people over the course of my life are very jealous/envious of me, particularly those with strong Sagittarius placements (which I’ve def found to be true). this is literally WILD to me like ik I’m pretty great but what do I have (other than looks and brains and intrigue and force of personality, okay maybe I get it) that you actually want. actually being me isn’t that great most of the time.

spouse will be sociable and emotionally intelligent and intelligent in general and religious/spiritual and “quaint” and love travel. pretty standard 9th house themes. also said she will have an “underlying intensity” which, yeah I hope so otherwise what are we doing together.

apparently my Uranus/Neptune conjunction in 1st makes me come off as unreliable and my Pluto placement makes me seem controlling/manipulative and too intense for many people. and those two things combined are why people decide to write me off as a bad person. which I guess makes sense bc what happens is they like all of a sudden see something about me they don’t like and then act scared of me??? even when there is genuinely no reason to be????? anyway apparently one of the big things I’m supposed to learn that will help mitigate this is to treat friendships more causally and not expect everything to be a super deep connection. but I feel like I already DO THAT with a lot of people + also when I do that I end up playing with them like dolls or chess pieces. and it’s fun but not satisfying. well whatever I have astrological license to treat my friends worse I guess

ages 24-25 were supposedly years of great personal growth and healing for me but all I did in those years was get abused and lose all my friends and have everyone tell me that actually I was abusive and a narcissist with 17 personality disorders including one that is straight up not in the DSM. and go to a bunch of therapy that didn’t work. and get addicted to weed and gain 30lbs and have everyone in my life collaborate on a giant gaslighting effort to convince me I was dangerously obese and they were worried for my health. and obsessively read r/amitheasshole trying to figure out the rules for Correct behavior. and cut myself to win arguments. and get kicked out of thanksgiving drunk in the middle of the night. and move to Spokane and have my first great love vow to hate me forever. and continue to get abused in Spokane, and meet some friends, and lose those friends bc I pissed off a serial killer dude, oh also I pissed off someone in the mafia I forgot that part, and get abused more and have a dead bedroom in my relationship and lock my entire personality up in a box and put it in a deep dark corner of my mind and give up on ever being happy. also I cried on my birthday both years. where’s the growth and healing…. I guess I hiked a lot in that time? and went to the gym but my heart was NOT in it

apparently I am v talented at communicating, networking, and making connections and can use my gifts to acquire money and power if I so choose. girl I so wish that were true

was also told what themes I will focus on during the next couple years of my life and apparently this year my focuses are: relationships, marriage, contracts, business partners, equality, sharing, interpersonal style. and I can see a couple of these but for the most part….. can’t relate.

Heavily inspired by barotrauma, this was almost gonna be ocs just for the game but then I came up with my own lore and decided it’d be its own thing

Humanity’s Imperium/Space orcas

Imperium is the title I’m used to but I worry it’s too similar to Warhammer, so space orcas is the next best thing

Not much of an actual story rn as it is a thought experiment and worldbuilding

Basically a future where humanity destroyed earth and became the alien invaders we feared so much to other species, going planet to planet to suck out its resources and conquer its people

Now humanity is a massive imperial power on the galactic stage, but outcasted from most civilized federations bc of their cruelty. The story mostly looks to show what humanity would be like and how other societies would see us as the monsters we’ve been portraying in alien horror films for decades

Untamed/animodules:

Technically two stories but I’m putting them together bc they’re both heavily inspired by wk and were in a sense meant to make it the show it could be

Animodules follows the 2 Thorne siblings and their friends as they travel the world to find ancient artifacts called modules, which were made by an alien civilization long ago who saw earth’s modern animals as gods. In essence it’s wk but with a touch lore that reminded me of animorphs. (Like fr that series was about kids becoming starfish how was I supposed to know it’d handle topics of alien war crimes)

Untamed is straight up a wild kratts knock off. Honestly it replaced animodules in my brain for awhile bc it scratched the same itch wk did but didn’t feature 2 real people as main characters, so I feel more at ease thinking of content for them. Characterwise rn the cast is just a mirror to wk but better, villains are more threatening, animals actually as more than just set dressing, the brothers don’t just walk up to random wildlife like it’s friendly, etc

Researchers’ Guide to The Paranormal

Having been abandoned at a young age 2 brothers discover their mom was part of a secret society dedicated to chronicling and explaining cryptids, magic, and other paranormal phenomena. Now they must dive down the rabbit hole and travel the country in hopes of finding their mom

Besides the story aspect it’s just a place for me to put my own interpretations of popular myths. Bigfoot is just an ape, Loch Ness is home to a whole species of little plesiosaurs, mothman

HTTYD Concept III

Yeah my brain be wildin' rn.

First concept Second concept

I am writing it now for sure even if no one reads it really, it's just too good in my head to ignore, it's just the general story I need to work on I guess. So I guess I should just ask myself questions to better understand what I want with it? Like will the reader be alone on dealing with the issue? Maybe, I'm not sure yet, but I do know it would be cool to have wild dragons help. (I kinda prefer feral dragons because I just feel like they should remain feral). Or maybe the reader gets some help through the police, rangers, or some form of power that can block off areas of land and prevent hunters from going onto that area of land for dragon hunting. Though I wouldn't imagine that lasting long with how many hunters there are and how much power they have. So, in that case they would need to get local help or someone that isn't corrupt. Maybe getting help from a conservation organization would work. All of this investigating and poking one's nose into another's business would catch attention from lots of groups.

I'm sure there would be an organization going against dragon hunters since dragons are still around, someone's gotta be keeping these guys alive somehow. Probably through capture and releasing them into the wild, somewhere safe and hidden from the modern world...so many ideas rn ack.

Maybe it could be partially horror and mystery? It would be a cool change from the usual HTTYD vibe. But I could try sprinkling in some of the HTTYD vibes with interactions and the environment I guess.

okokok i did the 4.2 archon quest thoughts below

i really loved it.... except things involving the whale. the whale's whole part in the story literally ruined the flow for me LMAO when they threw the whole revelation of "the whale wants to eat everyone because it THIRSTS FOR PRIMORDIAL SEAWATER" i was just like. really. REALLY. REALLLLY.

it felt like they just needed to force in a weekly boss and extra lore the way they did it. the overall fontaine archon quest could easily have had nothing to do with a space whale. the lore they did drop through skirk could have been interesting in a different context but it felt so irrelevant here.

that being said neuvillette was pretty sexy when he was like "let us go EXECUTE the BEAST". my guy was MAD mad. also skirk literally chucking childe through the portal was hilarious.

rest of it though. god. loved. well actually beginning and end kind of dragged on but furina's trial (ignoring the whale) was awesome. mixed feelings on focalors but furinaaaaaa FURINAAAAAAAAAA god you could really see how she suffered and the ending where she disappeared because she just wanted to rest... OUGH. also really loved how emotional the encounter between neuvillette and focalors was like i can only imagine the wild mix of emotions neuvillette was going through.

focalors' hair really bothers me tbh..... the way they rendered her long hair does not suit the bob cut thing furina's model has lol

i can't actually think of anything else my brain is fried. mostly just feeling vast disappointment about the whale but really loved everything with furina and neuvillette rotating them in my brain at high frequencies rn

Hey so. its been a while. I havent had a lot of energy these past few weeks and when I did I didnt really wanna spend that energy on this bad book series, but its the weekend and its been wayyyy too long and I need to finish ACOMAF before shit starts falling out of my sieve of a brain. As always, I am motivating myself with the prospect of contuining to work on a proshot of the takarazuka production elisabeth after this, the 2014 flower troupe one specifically ^-^ or maybe I'll watch a fucked up black and white movie from the 20s thats two and a half hours long, we'll see

Today we're reading chapter 53, the precursor to The most infamous chapter 54. Im not gonna lie, I kinda forgot most of what happened last time. There was a mate reveal, Rhysand was being really pathetic which made him hot to me for the first time in about 600 pages of me knowing him, Feyre was super pissed so they sent her to the mountain cabin to cool off a bit and paint, i think thats it

is it just me or is it kinda weird that Feyre is fantasizing about green grass and flowers and flowing rivers when the NC so far has been defined by being a very wintery place. Like yeah, obviously they have seasons in the solar courts but like, theres a lot of mountains which means a lot of snow, its the most nothern court etc

And Feyre didnt like winter in the first book because she associated it with bad times at the cabin so that makes sense but idk. I feel like if youre retconning her so much already you could easily wrie something about how she actually likes winter now that she has the power to withstand it or something but no, sure, have her fantasize about very spring-y weather in the book where the spring court gets demonized to hell and back why not

'[Rhysand] would give me the money for my shop, for what I was offering would cost nothing. Maybe I would sell my paintings to pay him back the money. Because I wanted to do that under any corcumstance, soulmates or not.' I was gonna write something snarky about Feyre in ACOSF but then it hit me that shes never going to have financial independance from Rhysand ever again and now Im just sad and anxious for her

(sry, im too lazy to translate this whole paragraph rn) '[Rhysand and I would do a bunch of fun stuff that couples do.] Never again someones slave or whore.' Its so wild to me that shes saying all this about the guy who made her his slave and whore MULTIPLE TIMES AT THIS POINT. like hey sarah, do you think your readers dont remember all that? do you think constantly calling back to it will make them forget somehow

Ive seen some people describe this book as gaslighting and honestly, its not even that its just lying. this story is just a bunch of lies that keep contradicting or otherwise disturbing eachother because the person telling it isnt even a good liar

Okayyyyy this chapter was a lot shorter than anticipated can you tell i dont plan these out at all but i dont feel like doing more than this and also while I was reading i got a really good idea for an Anastasia AU for a different fandom im in and I keep getting distracted and I wanna start working on it as soon as possible. And also, I'd like to be focused when I finally read that most infamous of chapters, thank you and good afternoon
