Suraj was adopted when he was 5 years old, and raised in the heart of the Spice District in San Myshuno. He has two sisters with whom he is very close. He's currently working on saving up enough money to go back to school to pursue a serious career in photography. Nature is his best friend and greatest coping mechanism for when things get tough. He was employed at the San Myshuno Botanical Garden for over five years, and still does certain photography projects for them. Doesn't mind getting his hands dirty (literally, not figuratively). Is a very frequent visitor of the community garden space, and loves tending to his garden. He's a serious overachiever and has no room for slacking off or failure of any kind. Missed out on the opportunity to go to school due to lack of funding and the need to help out with the care of his siblings due to a family situation. He currently lives on his own in a one bedroom apartment, located in the Arts Quarter. He's been working as a freelance photographer for a few years now and takes excellent wedding photos, despite his interest really lying in nature photography. Brides just happen to pay a bit more than flowers. He's been able to save up a bit of money and is finally almost ready to pursue his dream of higher education. Happened upon the submission form for Kiss Me in Komorebi by accident on the internet, and decided to give it a shot without many expectations. Until he actually started looking into Daniel Taylor himself, and now he's only a BIT smitten and very excited to meet him...

fun facts:

He can often be found wearing the colors brown and green. Floral patterns are also a must. He greatly enjoys corduroy pants and spiffy shirts, but also likes to dress down at times too (while still looking incredibly polished. The dude does not leave his apartment without all 3 of his earrings and his favorite cologne lovingly patted behind his ears)

Highly interested in UFO's. One of the things on his bucket list is to one day eat at the UFO Crash Site Diner in Oasis Springs.

Has a journal he writes in every single day without fail. Usually doing some sort of brainstorming exercise or spilling out his heart and soul.

He also makes lists meticulously. He spends so much time making plans and writing them down that sometimes he lacks on the execution part.

His dad is like, an ALARMINGLY huge fan of Daniel Taylor and may fangirl just a little upon finding out his son is about to go on a reality tv show with the man.

His perfect night consists of Yahtzee, making homemade popcorn, watching nature documentaries and curling up with a very cute person on the couch.

Is an apple nerd, wouldn't dare touch an android (is this his weakness djfklds im kidding)

Loves carnivals, fairs and carnival games! If a boardwalk is involved, you've won him over completely. All of his closest friends have won him at least one stuffed animal from the fair.

Enjoys not having to wear pants in his own apartment ❤️ (we love a relatable king)

Extremely scared of dogs due to being bit when he was a kid, but stick a cat in front of him and he's picking them up immediately.

I have a little head cannon for one of Ekko's and Jinx's dates; after Jinx learns how to fly on a hoverboard, they often go out for a night flight rather than a walk. The whole get to know each other again thing. Being showy people their flights get increasingly intricate until they basically end up doing little acrobatic dances in the air. Stepping from one to the other board, spinning around and upside down, catching each other and what will you. It's strangely intimate as it takes a lot of trust.

This idea applies extremely well with the head anon of Ekko being an adrenaline junkie!!

Especially placed in the Firelight Jinx AU.

No one outside the sanctuary can know about their relationship or Jinx in general. She is a wanted criminal and he's harboring a fugitive.

Whenever they go on hoverboard dates, they can simply let loose and have fun.

Jinx and Ekko are protective of each other and have complete trust that the other will catch them.

(In the Chromocrash trailer, Jinx jumps out a building and Ekko catches her💕)

The adrenaline course through them as they feel like they're about to fall from the sky only for the other to catch them.

Their pupils are diluted and eyes glazed over, they have wide ecstatic grins, and laugh boisterously from their high.

When their lips meet, the stars and moon are the only witness to the couples love.

oh my god the US tour really was something else!! I had completely forgotten the whole roommate drama thing 😳 and the fact that Olli and Allu were the last ones awake drinking mountain dew and talking about technology!! 🥺 I bet they shared secret kisses and maybe sometimes even fell asleep cuddling on the sofa?? 🥺

maybe some night Aleksi falls asleep before Olli and Olli barely awake confesses his love to sleeping Aleksi but in reality Aleksi just pretended to be asleep because he didn’t want to go to his own bunk to sleep alone??

i have very fond memories of the US tour because (for once) everything happened around my timezone! 🥳i am not from the US but it was exciting to get some content while i was awake 👉👈

and yes yes yes! we all know olli is a big sleepyhead and a cuddly boy so they definitely cuddled to sleep in the sofa sometimes (and yes, maybe they shared some kisses, yknow you gotta kiss your homies goodnight.......)

i love the idea of a late night love confession so much because omg it makes perfect sense!!! olli is too shy to confess his feelings, so he waits until late and spills everything out when he thinks aleksi is asleep, but now aleksi has to decide what to do with that information because maybe olli didn't mean it? or it was just a joke? 🥺💗💕💖💘

fun fact that does not leave my head: their US tour bus was smaller than their EU one and it didn't have a separate "lounge room" (sadly I only remember that the one from the electric callboy tour did, don't know about the one from their headline tour) so I am 99.9% sure that they did spent many many nights awake until late, having discussions about technology like the big nerds they are....... quite close to the bunk beds, actually

so picture this stupid scenario with me under the read more because i don't wanna be annoying with an extra long post 😊

olli and aleksi, alone and awake at 2 AM discussing tech stuff like whether or not a custom built desktop pc is better than a macbook, their bandmates and/or tour managers sleeping trying to sleep less than 2 meters away from them and wondering:

what the actual fuck are they talking about

why the fuck are they awake so late? (options: they are still high on adrenaline from the shows, aleksi is a night owl, oli spent the e n t i r e day napping in the couch, all of the above, none of the above)

will setting them up with each other make them finally shut the fuck up?

is the tech discussion some sort of courtship ritual that everyone else is not nerdy enough to understand, and will it stop once they are together?

so niko and joonas try adding a bit of jealousy and drama to make them finally ✨realize their feelings✨, but it kinda doesn't work because both aleksi and olli are way too deep in denial ("we're just friends", "we have mutual interests", "we stay up late just talking and working on songs and merch stuff", "our relationship is purely professional")

well, it works a little, because "what if he likes me too?" is now a recurrent though in those empty head of theirs, and the nights have been way more quiet since then. The weird silence that settles when they run out of things to talk about (because they are too busy overthinking about their interactions with each other and if what they said or did could be interpreted as someting else) is way worse than the tech talk, though

maybe the whole thing gets solved during that tour, they confess their feelings and spend the rest of the nights kissing and cuddling and whispering sweet nothings to each other (which on some nights makes the rest of the band want so desperately to get the tech talk back, but they are really happy for them); and when they both get sick it doesn't matter as long as they can take care of each other 💖

or maybe it doesn't get solved and they pine after each other for the rest of eternity, but somehow they still get sick at the same time and blame it on the mountain dew because of course it has to be that, what else could it be? (no one believes them)

the partial solution from mr CEO for their next tour? upgrade to a bus with a separate lounge room, but they better not start fucking in there or else he will straight up ban the room from being used (he just wants the quiet space for himself)

Sawyer has been to the asylum. He's an emotional guy and this town swallows people like him whole. It took more and more of him till he couldn't handle it anymore.

Harper found his emotional sensitivity to be very concerning, and became very focused on Sawyer's recovery.

Sawyer became convinced that his is at fault for the bad things that happen to himself and to others (to an extent). With his newly developed and extreme sense of guilt, he tries even harder to keep to himself to avoid causing more problems. Since the more people notice him and pick fights with him, the more it proves his point that he's the issue.

He doesn't want to hurt people... But his whole existence seems to attract the type of trouble that ends in pain... It's him. That's the only explanation... Right?

Well... His isolation, medication, and weekly therapy sessions have certainly resulted in his trauma levels staying in a manageable state! And all it took was some brainwashing new age treatment options and intentional isolation and dependency on Harper and his medication removing harmful outside influences combined with soothing medication! (...And a couple of virginities that Sawyer isn't aware he's lost. But that is just the cost of Harper considering you a fascinating specimen.)

ok conclusion: honestly, he really does keep to himself :( I know You didn’t ask abt who Sawyer DOESNT like being around, but I’m still gonna keep my rambles HAHA

Robin and Sawyer’s relationship is complicated. Robin adores Sawyer, is always so nice to him and so caring. Sawyer doesn’t understand why he looks up to him so much. especially after his time at the asylum, the way Robin looks at him just fills him with so much guilt. He’s not the person Robin thinks he is. but he doesn’t want to hurt him by shattering his hope. so he stays distant, trying not to harm but also not further feed this delusion. but he’s always kind. he feels so very protective over Robin. he’s been nothing but good to Sawyer, even when he doesn’t deserve it. so he doesn’t even think twice when taking on Robins debt. it’s the least he can do.

Sawyer might get along with Sydney, but for that they’d have to interact enough shebdbdd well, he might study in the library sometimes, but he doesn’t borrow books. maybe once or twice over the break, but he doesn’t exactly chat with Sydney when he does. but like. two quiet awkward loners? I’d honestly like to see that SHDBDBDN

funnily enough. when it comes to who he likes being around most it might just happen to be Alex. Alex just expects him to do his best on the farm. he’s allowed to come and go and take breaks whenever - a huge difference to his work at the docks. the farm might not make him that much money right now, but it’s close enough to what he made at the docks, and it’s a lot more peaceful. sometimes he sits down with Alex for a break, and it’s almost nice. he doesn’t ask any invasive questions, and Sawyer is happy to nod along anything he tells him about himself. all in all, his first few weeks working on the farm have been some of the nicest he’s had in a while. hard work, yes, but he feels respected and appreciated.
