oh same. it hits every single time

you hadn't seen thom in a while. after the hockey season ended thom went to san jose, you stayed in michigan because of school. now, thomas was coming back for the ceremony at the football game and you were beyond excited. this summer it was really hard for you guys to hang out with your internships and his travelling, so you were excited to finally see him.

"stop bouncing. he's literally right there," luke grumbled, arms crossed in annoyance. "don't be grump," you snapped, before rushing over to thomas, missing luke's eyeroll.

"thom! i missed you," you shouted, wrapping your arms around his neck. "i missed you too," he answered, pulling you closer into his embrace. the two of you just stood there, soaking the other up. your fingers twirled the strands of hair sticking out of his hat, while his played with the belt loops on your jeans.

"i got you something," he whispered, lips brushing against your ear. "you didn't have to get me anything," you replied, pulling away just enough so that you could see his face. "but i did," he replied, stuffing his hand into his pocket to pull out the small trinket.

you took it from him, a soft smile covering your face. it was a small key chain with a little ceramic shark hanging from it. "i know you hate that you can't come to my games with the sharks, but this way you can still be connected to my team," he said, a hint of nervousness in his voice. "i love it," you replied, throwing your arms back around him in a tight hug.

"are they dating?" luca whispered, to ethan who was standing right next to him. ethan shook his head, "just friends."
