Super Show 9 fucked me up. So incredibly good. My first super junior concert was ss4 in 2011. Back then, d&e didn't exist and no one had had a solo debut yet. The only subunits were sj-t, sj-h and sj-m — the only surviving part of those units is rokkugo. Since then sj has put out so much music. D&E officially debuted after their ss4 stage, kyuhyun, ryeowook and yesung had solo debuts, kry released an album and even eunhyuk had a solo debut with "be". Watching ss9 last night, this all hit me and I felt such gratitude and pride towards super junior for continuing to create and perform such amazing music.

2. What made you an ELF?
I don't usually Stan artists, that's really not my usual behavior. Suju is quite something to get a grip on me like that 😂
It was just the whole package: great music (there isn't a single song that I dislike), really fun personalities (it makes you want to see more) and you can tell they are very good people, all very kind hearted

Heechul, Eunhyuk, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, chill fun guys basically
The member I'm most similar to is Yesung though and that's why I don't think we would be besties 😂, we would get along just fine but we wouldn't be very close, we are way to similar for that

Do the pre released songs count as singles? If they do then Hit Me Up, if they don't then Burn the Floor

Do you think Dojaejung was planned? I mean, they didn't even bother to give them an actual unit name, just put the three boys name together and called it a day. Not to mention the logo, which you already talked about. And plus, Doyoung seems to be the only one promoting it, but I guess he's always been like that with NCT stuff.
Yes, for sure. DJJ had been a "maybe" for some time. The three were sent to promote together often or in duos in the past couple of years, they were given bridges in recent songs (JaeWoo in 2 Baddies, DoWoo in Ay-Yo), Doyoung mentioned already in 2021 how he would like to sing with JaeWoo given the opportunity.
Look at the examples of other groups, SM likes to repeat what worked in the past. SJ, GG and EXO all had/have mini sub-units. GG's TTS was formed because three members wanted to sing while other members were busy with their solo careers. You see the same picture right now: Yuta is filming in Japan, MarkHyuk are busy with Dream, Taeyong is preparing for his solo. A mini unit is a way to occupy members and try out a different genre, appeal to the public in another way. Seasoned artists already have a following and experience for a unit to become successful without a lot of investment.
As for last minute preparations, it's how SM works. It's how a lot of things are done in Korea (and in entertainment in general, tbh).
DJJ trended yesterday in Korea and worldwide. Most fans liked the concept. Koreans spend the most on luxury items. Everyone knows Jae and Do are into perfumes. GG released a collection of perfumes for their 15th aniversary, so NCTzens expect the same for DJJ.
As for the name. It is the tradition. All SM sub-units are made of initials: KRY, TTS, SBX, SC. Look at all the groups with samish names: TXT, TNT, TFN, TNX, TST...

Today, May 7, is Kyu's 1st anniversary since he got discharged from military, since SJ finished the decade long rotational military enlistment!
And today, May 7, they've also announced that Super Junior K.R.Y, the first ever sub-unit in KPop history, is releasing their first ever album!! I'm still in awe that they had concert tours but never released an album in 14 years since debut! Finally, it's here! 💙
