Hot take, Nine is completely justified in his actions. No one really knows what would happen if the shards went back to normal in Green hills. Its entirely likely that he and all the other people and places in the shardverse would cease to exist except for the one Sonic deems the normal one. While I understand where Sonic is coming from, his view of the whole situation is closed minded and selfish, he hasn't though it through. He treats Nine like they're best friends only to tell him to his face hes not the "real Tails". "I am real!" Nine had a very tough life with no friends and just imagine the first friend you ever had was just using you to get back to a "better" version of you that isn't even anything like you! He was so excited to have a real friend that he wanted to create a whole universe where they could live together. Ugh it just broke my heart every time he saw another tails from a different place. With every new face he thinks, "what am I to you?, am I really the best friend you claim I am? I feel used.".

Season 5 is on par with season 3, if not better! It really made me fall in love with the series all over again. They really stepped up their game this season with story, animation, design, character growth, complex relationships, and the violence! Ugh, could not take my eyes off the screen!
