Your Marriage with Jimmy Crystal
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While you tried in your own ways to make sure your band gets their much-deserved attention as well for their various works besides just the music, the fact that you were pushed to be front and center stage didn't help matters.
When you asked your husband, Jimmy explained that it's just obvious to advertise you as the leading star of your band. While that's part of the reason, in reality, Jimmy did not really like how touchy-feely and close you and your fellow lead singer/guitarist are. While you repeatedly assured him that your friend is just that, a friend and lightly teased him about it before giving him affection in assurance, Jimmy just couldn't seem to shake that doubt. Given he was the producer for your band, all of you had to acquiesce.
Although you tried to assure your friends you were doing your best to make their jobs easier on them, you had a feeling they didn't quite believe you. The fact that Jimmy would sometimes whisk you away during production or in the midst of a writing session with your band didn't help. In fact, you're starting to wonder when was the last time you and your band actually hung outside of work hours. You couldn't recall the last time you had a simple milkshake and burger, just being you and your pals. In fact, most of your time was spent with your husband and his associates.
Your husband still leaves you gifts occasionally, yet for a time, they seemed more like something his fellow media moguls, their wives, his friends, or his parents. That is to say, something much more pristine and monochrome, save for a hint of blue or gold. Far less colorful than what you would usually wear.
On top of that, Jimmy would lecture you before meeting such big wigs on how to act.
"You don't want me to look bad, hun? I've worked so hard to get us where we're at right now; I just don't want you to accidentally make a fool of yourself."
If you were honest with yourself, you felt like you were in a sort of limbo. As if you're just going with the motions but with Jimmy directing the boat you're on. Your band seems to take notice of this, whenever you show up for a writing session or rehearsals.
Sure, you'd acted as your usual cheerful self and pulled your weight all while giving it your all; yet, it seemed more like a front than anything. It's as if the usual fire in you has started to die out, little by little every day.
Then one day, that fire started to reignite in you as you came rushing into the studio with wonderful news. You're pregnant!
Of course, all your friends were happy for you and congratulated you. Work was delayed that day because of how you and your group had a spontaneous small party to celebrate. This would usually irritate the crap out of Jimmy until he learned the reason behind it.
Jimmy was so thrilled that he lifted you into the air to briefly twirl you around, with the biggest smile on his face. He promised you that he'll make sure your pregnancy is as comfortable as possible and that'll he'll be there for your child.
During those months, Jimmy was far more indulgent than he usually was. This included having a spare room at the Penthouse painted to resemble the cosmos and a field of flowers, your family being able to visit more often as news of your expecting spread, the best baby products money could buy; more flexible hours so you can spend more time with your friends; not to mention, Jimmy giving you far more of his undivided attention. You two would chat about what you hoped your daughter would be like possible names, who she'll take after more, etc. At night, you'd often snuggle up with your husband with his paws around your belly and whispering to your unborn child. Honestly, those were some of the best days you had with Jimmy for a long long time.
You wanted to name your daughter Star Shine because of a dream you once had of your daughter up on stage, shining as brightly as a star. However, Jimmy laughed at the name and called it ridiculous. You pretended to laugh, too, at the time.
That never stopped you from calling your daughter Porsha, the name you literally dreamed of giving her, and any variations of the name. In fact, your daughter inspired you to write a couple of songs for her about how she's the light and hope of your world.
You love your daughter Porsha, which goes without saying. You love spending time with her, whether that's going rollerblading, dressing up for the fun of it while playing pretend, singing karaoke, dancing to music, or other mother/daughter activities. You love just how bright and silly your Shining Star is, through her highs and lows.
Your band sometimes jokes about how they could see your eyes literally light up whenever you caught a little Porsha supporting you during rehearsals or concerts. The rest of your band adored Porsha and treated her like family.
Speaking of family, Jimmy acted like an attentive father and amazing husband for the first couple of years. Yet, as Porscha became older, he became more focused on his work, putting on bigger shows and finding the best of the best musically-wise. He would spoil Porsha as he would with you, but he used it more as a means to placate her whenever you were too busy. While you tried to tell Jimmy that he can't just spoil your daughter and never say no to her, he would give you only half assurances that he'll do better with her.
It wasn't just Porsha you noticed Jimmy becoming distant with, but you, again. Yes, you know that your husband is a busy man with a demanding job, yet he always seems to find new ways to keep working even when there's really no need. It's as if he doesn't find you or your own daughter worth his time. Still, Still, he expects you to drop everything you're doing, whether it's convenient or not, to take care of Porsha WHILE you're busy with your career. Then still suspecting nothing less than perfection from you while never giving you any meaningful time of day.
Over the years, you realized that Jimmy's treatment and attitude towards both of you weren't really going to improve. You don't know what it was; whether that be too many missed birthdays, Christmases, a cycle of love-bombing and distance; Jimmy snapping at you and your loved ones too many times; his tendency to treat you as arm candy; how your husband made it seem like every little thing is somehow your fault; how he downplays your accomplishments or never takes you seriously; you just wanted out of your marriage with Jimmy Crystal.
You tried to bring up how you wanted to divorce Jimmy over one of the rare dinners he actually sat through entirely while your daughter was having a slumber party with her friends. Yet, he just laughed at the idea and didn't take you seriously.
When you insisted that you were serious, Jimmy narrowed his eyes at you with his frown so deep it was almost a snarl. You didn't miss how his claws dug rivets into the dining table.
"You wouldn't want to make your dear husband look bad? Especially not when one of the biggest concerts in your career, which I helped make, is coming up right on our anniversary? Would ya now, Sunshine?"
He then grabbed your face with his claws close to cutting past your fur and into your skin, causing you to let out a whimper. This time he was snarling
"I know you're not a bozo who would ruin her career with such a scandal before then, right?"
You only nodded at the time, only to get Jimmy to calm down and relax his grip on you.
"Good, very good. I know you'll do spectacularly as always do."
You immediately told your bandmates everything that happened the first chance you got. They were right all this time that Jimmy was bad news and not all that you thought he was. You teared up as you called yourself stupid for not realizing this truth sooner, but your friends weren't having any of this. They were here to support and love you, offering advice on finally getting you and Porsha away from that wolf.
Throughout the day, you and your bandmates helped you come up with a bold and, admittedly, borderline insane idea on how to break it off for good with Jimmy. You'll just need to make some calls with your parents, the airport, some friends of friends, and some last-minute adjustments to your concert.
Even if this doesn't work as planned, it'll still be a spectacle to behold.

WHY ILLUMINATION SHOULD Turn The Sing movies into a series (episodes) or a graphic novel series
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Sorry if it's to long I just need to write what I think)
I love the sing movies as much as the next person, its probably one of illuminations best franchises. As much as I lobe the movies and the main characters, I wish they would explain their backstories before meeting buster, And with the third one in development, I'm hoping they do just that. But what if they don't. Well that's what I keep asking myself, how they could show the audience the characters stories or their lives, after and before. Well I've come up with an idea on that. I have 2 possibilities a series (episodes) or a graphic novel series.
Here let me explain what they could do and why.
A series (episodes):
If the writers don't have time to make movies for sing, they can(could) make a series to show what the characters are doing and their development or introduce new characters in the story. And also talk about their life and things that have happened during the movies. It could also have side stories or parts 1 or 2 episodes to see what each character and storyline is doing, and also help character traits be developed in a character, see what their relationship with each other is like, and even help bring in new songs to the show and have each character show their skills. And most importantly answer questions each movie leaves about, and explain things that happened before.
Graphic novels:
We can learn about the characters and their backstories and new characters that might not be mentioned in the movies (or series) And they can address serious topics like death of a loved one more seriously and it can mainly focus on one character and their past and how it happened. And most importantly it would save illumination a lot of time and keep people from asking or waiting for something to happen. And if the characters have a dark backstory, and the people at home don't have to complain that anything risky is put it on theaters or TV and get complaints about it on what their viewers are watching. And ok it's not like animation studios haven't done anything like that. I mean look at Disney & pixar, they've done things parents might not agree with, or things that might scare kids, or done things that people should discuss or things that shouldn't be hard to tell kids and DreamWorks has been doing those things for years it wouldn't surprise me if Illumination did that to. Not that I have a problem with it, I'm glad that animation movie studios are having characters be or talk about things that make them feel real, like family drama, discrimination, Sexuality, mental health, depression, trauma, etc. And like most animation Companies who have not recently but not too long ago have Done these things to give "life" and personality to the characters, but because of the backlash and criticism that that many entertainment studios have gotten, (like Disney and pixar) studios have taken less risks and been struggling with either doing what critic's want and certain audiences want, or doing risks and doing what another certain audience wants or the other way, and if Illumination is worried about taking a risk of any of those things I mentioned, and are afraid that a franchise will be be ruined or canceled because of it, they should make a graphic novel series to explain things or to continue it. There are so many things I would like to say about entertainment studios and criticism and backlash they could get, or the unfair criticism their movies can get, but I'll save that for another post.
Anyway That's my opinion, but what's yours? Answer in the poll and if you have your reasons or opinions comment on what you think, If you don't let my opinion that's okay.
And when the votes have been done, I'll explain more about it.

The last song in Sing 2 "Your Song Saved My Life" I think is very sweet because everyone is sitting with someone who saved their life in some way
Ash saved Calloway from a life of seclusion and never getting over Ruby (I believe he still mourns her, but now he's able to see life outside of just negativity and fear).
Nooshy saved Johnny from having to work with Klaus, helping him learn the dance instead of making him feel like crap.
I feel like Gunter and Meena are unrelated *however*, Alfonso is on Meena's phone, and her imagining him during the show helped her not feel awkward or somethin idk.
Moon saved Porsha from living with Jimmy (I dislike Jimmy cuz he's definitely abusive) and Porsha came in clutch last second to take part in the show so yeah it fits.

When Jimmy Crystal Proposed to You
We should be about a good junk of the way done with your life story with Jimmy Crystal, at least until I get another stroke of inspiration. For now, I hope you enjoy this set of headcanons!

Tumblr media
You and Jimmy were out for another one of your date nights, which isn't that out of the ordinary even with both of your busy schedules. Jimmy with getting Crystal Enterprises to be known as both the most well-known entertainment agency and the best entertainment agency. You were with your band when it came to writing new songs, recording songs, tours, making music videos, and trying your hand at acting. What made this date extra special for you both? It's the anniversary of when you both started officially dating.
Much to your pleasant surprise, instead of the usual high-class and swanky restaurants and shows; Jimmy instead invited you to the park you both used to frequent for a walk and boat ride. With no immediate work business to attend to, you and Jimmy start to relax and enjoy the mostly quiet ride, save for your ferryman. You leaned against Jimmy, who wrapped an arm around your waist, as you absorb this moment in time to commit every detail from memory.
From the sound of the river's waves gently crashing against the sides of the gondola; the way Redshore city's lights illuminated the night sky so brightly that it almost appears to still be day; down to the warmth of your then boyfriend's hand on your waist and the smell of his cologne mixed with the natural scent that just smelt like him.
You then strike up a conversation with Jimmy, chatting and joking in a way you haven't for a long while.
"I've missed having nights like this, no, I've missed us. I've missed you, Jimmy."
Jimmy then lifts your head with a single finger, careful not to pierce your throat with one of his claws. He gives you a charming and soft smile with hooded eyes fixated on you.
"I know and so do I, Sunshine. I promise, after tonight, we'll be spending a lot more quality time together."
You felt a pang of dejection when you and Jimmy's ride came to an end, as if you both were now leaving behind your own little world. However, you're quick to shake off this feeling when Jimmy leads you back with his arm hooked in yours to his limo and had his driver take you to your next destination for dinner.
You were fully expecting Jimmy to take you to one of the many fancy restaurants under his company's brand name, so imagine your surprise when he pulls up to a 1950s-themed restaurant and not just any 50s-themed restaurant, but the one you like to frequent with the rest of your band every other Wednesday, the Joe Rabbit Trim. Jimmy chuckles when seeing your surprised expression.
"What, you think I'd take you to our usual food joints? C'mon, sweetheart, it's our one-year anniversary; give me a bit of credit here, even if this place looks like a wax museum with a pulse."
You let Jimmy know your appreciation and pleasant surprise by wrapping your arms around your boyfriend and giving him a smooch on the cheeks.
"Thanks, Jimbo"
Jimmy wraps an arm around your waist as he grumbles about "acting lovey-dovey" in public, but the smile on his face tells you otherwise. You are eventually led to a pink Cadillac that was cut in half and recycled as a booth. Similarly, with the boat ride, you chat about everything and anything, including the performances up on stage. Jimmy gives them more scrutiny than necessary.
"How do they even hold auditions here? Is the manager tone deaf or what?"
You placate Jimmy with a paw over his own before replying.
"Jim, you're here on an anniversary date with your girlfriend, not at work."
"I know, I know, sweetheart. Thanks for the reminder."
"Anytime, hun."
You give Jimmy a wink, who gives you a charming smile. Halfway through your dinner, the restaurant manager announces the start of what Joe Rabbit Trim's also well known for, its Twist contest. You immediately volunteer yourself and Jimmy as the first contestants.
"Woah, woah, woah, Sunshine, I don't do no twist. It ain't exactly my style, ya hear?"
"No, no, no, I do believe it is our anniversary date, and you're the one who decided to take me out to my favorite food joint. Please, Jimmy? Won't you dance with your girl?"
You plead sweetly with one paw over Jimmy's own as you flutter your lashes. Your boyfriend gives a scowl before eventually sighing and giving in. You give joyful shout and drag Jimmy by the paw out of your booth to get up on stage, causing him to more or less stumble behind you to keep up.
Not surprisingly, given you and Jimmy's celebrity couple status and respective careers, the restaurant's patrons cheer when both of you come on stage and announce your names. The crowd's applause didn't die until a song, "You Can Never Tell" by Chuck Berry, started to play, signaling you and Jimmy to start dancing.
For a wolf that claimed that he "don't do no twist," you can confidently say that Jimmy ain't too shabby, especially when he started to loosen up through the song and really get into it. You almost forgot the fact that you were performing in front of a crowd as your attention was on your date, smiling widely for the entire song. Jimmy, for his part, couldn't quite keep his gaze off you, practically hypnotized by how you danced with exuberance with a hint of a provocative motive, causing the necklace he gave you to bounce wildly against your chest. Like earlier during the boat ride, it was as if you and Jimmy were in your little fantasy world. You find yourself wishing that you could stay in this moment forever.
However, like before, this little moment came to an end along with the song. You're pulled out of your stupor by the applause and cheers of the crowd. You and Jimmy both face the crowd with smiles and waves, with you giving an exaggerated courtesy. You'd thought that would be the end of being up on stage that night until Jimmy grabbed the microphone from the manager before he could ask for the next pair of volunteers. Your boyfriend started off as if he were on a talk show or wrapping up another show.
"Heya everybody, how ya doin' tonight? Thank you, thank you all, you're too kind, honestly, too kind. I know you didn't expect us up on this stage tonight to give you a show, but let's be honest, you're glad we did."
The crowd chuckles at the quip. Jimmy then places a paw into his pants pocket and takes on a lax posture.
"But this just ain't any ol' date night for us. No, it's our one-year anniversary tonight!"
As expected, this gets the crowd roused in delight, causing another round of applause from the crowd. They quiet down when Jimmy gestures with the hand holding the mic to settle down.
"And as much as Sunny loves this quirky place, and to be honest, I might buy this joint later, it ain't the only reason why I'm here."
Jimmy then walks over to you and takes out a blue velvet box. You let out a gasp with both of your paws covering your muzzle when Jimmy then gets down on one knee to pop open the box, revealing a sunflower-themed ring with a diamond in the center that sparkles beautifully in the spotlight.
"Y/N L/N aka Sunflower aka Sunny aka, Light of my life, will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Crystal? I can't think of anyone else I'd want to spend the rest of my life with."
Looking back now, you suppose you should've noticed the dozens of pairs of eyes staring intently at you, all of them watching with great intent. All of them practically begging you to say yes because who in their right mind would say no to the Jimmy Crystal? Maybe you should've known from the fact there was a crowd watching you in a public space that's a haven to you and your friends; the way the spotlights were shining on you two and you two alone; maybe you could've noticed the millions of little signs that this was another show of Jimmy's starring you but ran completely by him. Yet, at that moment, you didn't notice any of the dozens of pairs of eyes, the lights, the suffocating silence, nor the thick tension. You were only focused on Jimmy giving you a soft smile with steely blue eyes fixated on you and how your heart felt ready to burst out of your chest.
Of course, you said yes!
Jimmy barely got the ring on you before you grabbed him to smash your lips together. Your new fiance rolls along with it and dips you as the crowd explodes from jubilation at what unfolded before them.
It wasn't long after you called your family and gathered your friends to tell them of your engagement. Of course, all of you celebrated, and they (for the most part) were indeed happy for you! Yet, some of the conversations you had with your bandmates/closest friends weren't ... fully congratulatory. It was more on the cautious side and questioning if you fully thought your marriage through with Mr. Crystal if you're sure he'd make a good husband. You wave them all off and shut them down, not wanting to think of anything they have to say in regard to your relationship with Jimmy. All while not realizing how this sprouted some new unspoken strain between you and your band.
