Hey! Hell yeah I am doing the SINF ask meme. I want to get more involved in the SINF fandom, even if it has been a while since I read the books. (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

4. Which historical figure did you fixate on afterwards, if any? Did you decide to research them extensively?

Oh man I researched a lot of characters, SINF was after all what inspired me to write my own book. But if I had to decide on one I would have to say Joan of Arc. Turns out I got some french roots going back to her time and ancestors of mine met her. It's cool to think about.

5. Which Elder/Dark Elder do you like most? Why?

Okay so I just have to go with Prometheus. I don't know the moment he came onto page I was just like.. Oh, oh. So yeah.

Areop-Enap was also great and I do truly loved her, even if she was a giant spider. And her helping in taking down the Morrigan.

6. Which Elder/Dark Elder do you dislike most? Why?

Oh boi who do I dislike most? I don't know if I can decide. First of fuck Isis and Osiris, I think people can understand why.

I also remember disliking the Morrigan a lot but damn if I would remember why. Probably of what she has done to her sisters and other things but there are a lot of others I dislike a lot.

28. Who is your SINF otp? Ot3? Brotp? Polyship?

I never thought about that. I do love Perenelle and Nicholas together and of course Joan and Germain which is such a wild pairing in itself. Have to say Joan and Germain are my OTP.

But an even wilder ship I like almost as much and which is currently second place is Billy and Machiavelli. I mean come on. People who betray their Elders together stay together, and Machiavelli healing him in The Enchantress is just chefs kiss.

16. Which Elder/Dark Elder would you serve? Can be from the books or another of your choosing.

Oh boy, I think I had this question before and I'll proudly say again that I would absolutely serve whatever Elder my girl Virginia served. Once she kills him I am also free!!! All behold my genius plan >:) (feel free to join me)

19. Which immortal did you want romantically or otherwise?

I am a SIMP for every single one of them. Hear me out: a guy/girl/entity who can speak like 22 languages, knows almost all of history + the secret magic history of Elders and other fictional beasts (bonus points if they lived through it themselves), they're probably a renaissance man (gender neutral) which automatically makes them the hottest person alive. Like. Would you not marry someone like that on the spot???

I will make an exception for Gilgamesh tho 💀 that dude is just bonkers. And also Will (sorry Shakespeare simps T-T ) because that dude never showers. Probably historically accurate but that's not what I read SINF for

24. What would you tweak about the series or plot?

That part where Sophie and Josh time travel to Danu Talis. Why is no one talking about that giant ass time-travel plot hole???? Time travel is an immensely complicated thing and it's just so so hard to pull off because everything that happens in the past inevitably affects the future. And just think about how Josh ended up.

Like... First, we find out that there is a mysterious dude named Mareythu and he apparently orchestrated the entire thing. This dude eventually leads Josh and Sophie into a situation where they destroy Danu Talis, and that's how JOSH becomes Mareythu, the guy who orchestrated the entire thing. Now, my question is -- where did the old Mareythu go????? Did I miss something in the books??? And just the fact that at some point there were two Joshes (because Mareythu and Josh are the same, it's just that Mareythu is Josh but from the future who can time travel and he went to the past) is inconceivable to me. But that aside, after Mareythu leads Josh to become Mareythu (indirectly), where did the original Mareythu go??? Did he just... Disappear? Did he die? And no one is talking about the tragic fate of Josh who was doomed to become Mareythu. This literal child will have, through the centuries to come -- he will literally have to orchestrate the ENTIRE original Mareytu's plan all over again because he IS the Mareythu now. And thus, Josh is doomed to have to set up the entire thing all over again... And if Mareythu actually died when Josh became Mareythu, that makes it so tragic. Because, he is now doomed to orchestrate the entire thing, knowing that it will end up in his death, but he HAS to do it because he needs to protect the world as he knows it, he NEEDS to maintain the timeline HE HIMSELF comes from!!! Do you undersTAND ME??? Also, if the OG Mareythu didn't die and just... Idk, went somewhere... I am baffled by the possibility that there is an infinite amount of Mareythus just out there somewhere. Did I critically misunderstand something??? I can't do this anymore next question

Ahh, Scatty, my first love 🥰 I am absolutely convinced that everyone who read the SINF series had a Scathach simping phase. I had it, you had it (don't lie to me, I know you had it. I am convinced), my friend to whom I frantically summarized the whole plot but never read the books had it...

Anyways, here's the list!

Scathach personally invented Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. That is so her in my opinion

She committed a war crime at least once. But it's fine because the thing probably wasn't considered a war crime back then /j

Even before she and Aoife had that critical fight over their mutual love interest, they used to bicker a lot (as sisters do <3)

She knows how to fight with every single weapon. Every single one. And she has mastered it.

She swears a lot (when nobody is around)

fur some reason cyb was very angry as malware Miku. cyb was like ALWAUS ANGRY ever sinfe the start of cybers "digital life." the popup doll sometimes made angry songs that talked about taking over the world, subduing humanity and ruling over them, and destroying the planet. an average internet moment occured when one such angry song went viral. people used it in dance challenges, animations, memes, etc. people had arguments over the meaning of the song, there were discourses over the ethics of using it in videos, and most luved it (or hate-listened to it).
