Every fanfic is fundamentally a fix-it fanfic though. Your need to write a fanfic exists because there is something you're missing from the original work, something you would do differently and that's why you write it. You want to change things so it turns into a subjectively better piece of work that you and others will enjoy even more. You are fixing it no matter what are you're writing about because you're doing it with the goal of making the original work better somehow.

“nice.” my teammate’s voice echoed through my headset as i killed two members of the opposing team, before promptly getting shot by a third that appeared around the corner. a smile tugged at my lips, quickly disappearing as soon as it appeared as i now spectated my teammates.

“what are you smiling at?” rindou’s voice sounded muted through my headphones and i cocked an eyebrow at his question.

“i killed two people and my teammate said ‘nice’,” i smiled widely; i could practically see the question mark in his face at my reply.

“i thought you didn’t have a praise kink?” the sarcasm dripped from his words.

“it’s not a praise kink, i was just having a bad match and the little compliment made me happy, ok?” i huffed, turning back to the monitor. “plus, he’s being a good teammate even though we’re losing right now.”

i puffed my cheeks at the last part; i was already feeling terrible about performing badly on my worst map, getting praised then for doing something good definitely raised my spirits.

i spectated as my teammates won us the round, it felt good knowing i contributed something before dying. all the while i could feel rindou getting closer until he was right over my shoulder.

“who was it?” he asked as i respawned into the next round. i rotated my character to face the teammate in question.

“it’s him,” i answered nonchalantly, crouching and uncrouching my character in front of him without thinking much of it. i chuckled as my teammate in turn did it back to me, before turning to run to my spot before the round started.

rindou felt his stomach sour at that; it seemed ridiculous to be getting salty over a seemingly innocent interaction. not to mention completely irrational, and yet he couldn’t help the feeling that bubbled up in his chest as he continued to watch me play.

we eventually won the match, and i celebrated by turning to give him a tight hug. as my arms slung around his shoulders, my lips found his jaw, “what’s wrong babe?” i asked as i peppered kisses on his cheek; his expression was stiff despite my show of affection.

“i’m gonna learn to play this game,” he announced, puffing his chest as he folded his arms. my eyes widened in surprise, “so suddenly?”

“yea,” rindou’s arm circled my waist as he pulls me closer, “so i’ll be the one praising you next time.” he finishes off before leaning down to press a kiss to my lips, silencing whatever i has to say to that.

i smiled as we parted, “jealous are we?” was all i could get out before his lips found mine again, the kiss getting increasingly heated until i pulled away first.

“rindou,” my brows furrowed, suddenly worried if he had been truly upset by what happened earlier, “you know, it’s just a game right? i was just happy to have my effort recognised.”

“yea i know,” he nuzzled his nose against mine, our foreheads pressed together. “i just want to be the one to recognise that and praise you next time.”

Chamber treats you so gentle with it. He could never be so rough with his precious pet. The collar itself has no leash and is expensively comfortable. Of course the collar has his name engraved because how else would everyone else know that you belong to him. “Let me hear your pretty sounds my pet, hold nothing back,”

Cypher doesn’t see the appeal with it at first however is quick to change his mind after seeing that they can match with different outfits. His favorite has a loop at the front so he can pull you in closer for a kiss.

Phoenix is a bit embarrassed to admit you look heavenly wearing them. It’s hard not to daydream during mission briefs about you wearing them later for him. The amount of late night snaps he has saved from you is ridiculous.
