grandma Rosiepuff's pod in the sims 4

ok, im finally doing it. here is grandma's pod in the sims like i said i would do. i used opefulee's floor plan for the pod (they have a pod tour on yt)

the first room is the living room. i gave them lots of toys bc theyre kids, mainly for floyd and branch. i did add some things that i added to the bunker build, like the pink vase is in jd's room. i love the little height chart, the tree one fit the best to me. theres lots of little things, like the records on the wall or the baby things on the table or muddy foot prints by the door

next is the bathroom. i hate builds that look to staged, like an open house or something. i like to make mine look lived in, thus all the clutter everywhere. i wanted to shove the changing table into a counter but it suck out. i put baby things near the changing table. there's makeup and a small mirror for Floyd, a cup with tooth brushes and skin care products, cologne, and bath product slight out of frame. there's a hamper, a basket of clean laundry and on the floor is a pile of clothes. and branch's lil potty for potty training.

on to the kitchen, i made it such a weird shape it was hard to fill it without making it cramped. the bulletin board with concert date and school activities. some priceless China that totally wont get broken in a pod with five boys, never. school art projects hanging up on the walls. more muddy foot prints by the back door (who do you think did it). a calender on the wall for other dates and such. cookies on top of the fridge. couldn't forget branch's high chair and wine in the fridge bc raising five boys must to be hard so grandma needs a drink

time for upstairs. its a simple hallway, a few pictures, no the boys TOTALLY DID NOT draw on the wall around their door. Absolutely not. i put a broad with childrens drawings bc grandma cant hang their drawing on the fridge, the door is glass. were not going to talk about how i fucked up the railing

on to the actual brozone, the boys room. i wanted to take bits and pieces from each of them bc thats what you do when you share a room with you siblings, you put in what you can. beds go as followed, first bunk (left) Spruce on top, floyd on bottom. next bunk(right) top is clay and jd is on bottom. then branch's crib. i put the alarm clock next to jonh's bed bc i imagine hes the one waking his brothers up for school or rehearsals. floyd has a lil ghost night light by his bed, spruce has a reading light up by his to read fan letters. thers board games on their dresser. floyd has nail polish by his bed. clay has books on his bed. i made it where they could rehears their songs and record them in their room. agian more cloths on the floor (seriously who keeps leaving those lying around) and another toy box bc clearly these boys dont have enough toys.

Happy Smiler Creation Day!

The first date on my Valice(r) Calendar, the date that I first created a version of Smiler Always in Sims 4, and thus the general look for my OC Smiler Alton and all their various variants across the multiverse! Coincidentally, I’ve actually been doing some testing with Smilers in a couple of different “test saves” in the game recently, figuring out the best way to get a human Smiler Sim in case I want a version who isn’t a vampire for some reason, and making up some new outfits for them just for funsies. So I figured, might as well share all that with you today! :)

First up, the result of me putting Smiler into a save and then downloading a room from the Gallery which had the vampire cure drink in it, putting it on their lot, and having them drink it. What happened was, because their yellow eyes are a vampire-only feature in-game, even though I was using them on their “regular” form, they went away after they were cured. I decided I might as well take the opportunity to decide on their natural eye color, and this was the shade of green that spoke to me.

. . .if you think Smiler looks weird with a natural eye color, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. XD I dunno what it is, but it’s just -- OFF.

For reference, here’s a shot of a regular Smiler -- I think the difference is mainly that the yellow eyes I picked glow, so the sudden lack of extra shadows around them throws me. Fortunately, in a second “test save” (in which I just went ahead and created a full Valicer set for my library), I discovered that using MC Command Center to turn them human keeps their yellow eyes, so that’s almost certainly the method I’ll use for all future Smiler humanizings.

Onto the outfits! Here’s one I made for my “naturally cured” Smiler while looking for an outfit that might fit them for that Blades in the Dark-inspired AU I keep poking at (really need to do a proper post on that). I’m not QUITE sure it’s right yet, but I like that vest and its purple pocket square for Smiler!

Here’s a “classic” Smiler look that ended up getting deleted/overwritten in my Chill Save (I believe the “Smiler hoodie” outfit is now in its slot), so I wasn’t sure if you guys had seen it or not! Naturally, I tend to favor yellow with Smiler’s clothes, and I like the video game feel of this one, since it went well with The Smiler being so tech-themed.

I stumbled across this sweater/sweatshirt thing while doing outfits for my MC Command Center Cured Smiler and immediately liked it -- can’t go wrong with yellow and black! As this was just a “hanging around the house being comfy” look, I paired it with the purple pajama pants and some yellow slippers. :p

Another yellow-and-black sweater that I liked while poking around the various outfit categories, and some very wild pants that I thought they’d enjoy. Part of the fun of dressing Smiler is knowing they don’t particularly care about getting too matchy. XD Though I don’t think this particular combo is too horrible.

I found this shiny formal outfit and HAD to get it for them. XD I just like the dramatic contrast between the shimmery yellow jacket and the pitch-black pants. XD Gave Smiler some dramatic eye makeup to go with it too!

Some Vampires clothes that make for another good formal outfit -- I really like that purple vest (and hey, I just noticed it has a yellow tie!), and the pants with the faded yellow pattern are great. :D And still got the dramatic eye makeup going with it!

Probably Smiler’s most “normal” outfit, this was out of a desire to use those purple PJ pants for actual PJs and actually go with a solid purple theme for once instead of mixing it with yellow. I like it a lot. . .which makes sense because these actually look a lot like some of my OWN pajamas. XD

The return of the yellow vest, this time paired with yellow pants and brownish-yellow sneakers! The idea was that this was for a party that wasn’t exactly FORMAL but also wasn’t full casual. Think the pants are a bit muddy in the color, but it’ll do.

Again, a shiny formal outfit in yellow with a black shirt was a must-get. XD Smiler will sparkle at any given opportunity, thank you. Paired with a nice top hat and some black -- sneakers? Obviously they haven’t full committed to formal with this one. XD

A Smiler to illustrate my Christmas headcanon about them loving ugly sweaters and Christmas tat! I actually had my choice of ugly sweaters between the free “holiday” pack and Seasons, but I ended up going with this freezer-bunny-themed one because it was the right color scheme. XD Pair with a different set of PJ pants, slippers, and a knit Rudolph hat, and Smiler is ready to celebrate the season!

And finally, a quick shot from my Chill Save Smiler themselves, because I don’t think I’ve ever shown you their main formal outfit. Yes, full tux and tails just because that one had the yellow. XD And white and gold shoes, because who wants to match their shoes to their pants? :P

Make your male sims look dirty and muddy

With the new Cottage Living pack we've got much more gardening, farming and outdoor activities into The Sims 4 gameplay. And usually in the real world our clothing gets dirty when we work on a field or milk the cow... not so with our sims 😅.

I wanted to have some clothing for male sims which looks dirty and muddy so that my sims working on a farm do not look so perfectly clean . It's actually not easy to find such clothing for male sims but after some research I found some cool CC.

The jeans is a creation by Bluebrick04. It comes with different colors and the mud is not very obvious when you see the screenshot here but at least it is not so clean as all the other jeans.

The shoes are from the famous @darte77. They are called "Old boot" and one of the swatches is with this muddy-dirty look.

The shirt is also by darte77. It does not look really dirty but it can fit into such a setting. It is the "Ripped Tee". It is for Patreon supporters only

The dirty boots are created by @pw-creations and are called "Nathan Drake Shoes". I really like that they fit to almost all jeans without any oveerlappings - and they really look dirty😆

So in winter your sims may work outside with some old "Ripped Knit Sweater"?! Give them this one - created by @darte77 again. Unfortunately it is still Patreon supporter exlusive but I think this creator deserves a little support.

I love her so much -- she reminds me of Willow, and when I saw her on my replay of the game, I burst into tears. URSULA: Blacks and deep purples and blues, fine wine, tight fabric, velvet skin, sharp and entrancing gaze, crows, black feathers, leather gloves, mocking simper, blood red lipstick, neutral colored fashion, lies, sharp perfume, manipulation, gold chains, the click of high heels, short dark hair, shadowy silence. I made this blog for Ursula! I knew I could play her and Kristopher wanted to write opposite of her so I threw her out here!

Carleen Goes to Taiwan: Day 1 (Taichung)

Taiwan – the first country to explore this 2019! It is the country known for tourist spots’ such as the 91-floor Taipei 101, different memorial halls and parks, shopping districts, night markets, and more. It is also the origin of everyone’s favorite drink - Milk Tea!

My travel experience in Taiwan will be divided per day with our itinerary and expenses. At the end of each post will be my vlog. My blog and vlog will go hand in hand since some information and visuals will be on my blog but not on my vlog and vice versa. So I recommend for you to read my blog and watch my vlog to know my adventures in Taiwan.

Our flight to Taipei, Taiwan was last May 22, 2019 via Cebu Pacific and was originally scheduled at 10:35pm. It was delayed by an hour and we boarded at around 11:30pm. We arrived at Taipei at around 01:30 in the morning.

After landing, we went to the immigration, grab our luggage and claimed our sim card. We bought our sim card via Klook which costs PHP 377 each. (Tip: Double check if the claiming counters are open 24 hours especially if you have an early morning flight. Some options in Klook have counters open from 7am – 11pm only).

Since we arrived in early morning, we rode a taxi going to our hotel in Ximen named, Diary of Ximen Hotel. The taxi fare was NT$ 1,100 (PHP 1,870) good for 4 people with 4 luggage. It was an hour travel time from Taoyuan International Airport to our hotel and we arrived at around 03:30am.

Diary of Ximen Hotel is situated near Exit 6 of MRT Ximen Station which was a very good location. Also, the hotel is located in a building with other hotels too. We really did like the hotel since it was very near the Ximending night market, staff were very accommodation and nice, and bottled waters were given daily. There was also free flowing juice, tea, and coffee on the hotel’s reception. We booked our hotel via Agoda and no breakfast was included. If you would like to avail their breakfast buffet, it will be NT$ 100 (PHP 170) per person.

DAY 1 MAY 23, 2019

First day in Taiwan and we were greeted by the drizzling rain.

1st day’s itinerary was to go to the province of Taichung, Taiwan. We went there by riding the MRT first from Ximen Station to Taipei Main Station then transferred from MRT Taipei Main Station to HSR Taichung Station.

We preferred to ride their High Speed Rail (HSR) since it will only take 45 minutes to 1 hour from Taipei to Taichung. Other cheaper options were the bus with 3-4 hours travel time, and the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) with 1-2 hours travel time. However, during that time, Klook has a promo of Buy One, Get One for HSR going from Taipei to other locations that costs PHP 945 (PHP 472.50/each). For our way back, we also chose the HSR but got the original price of PHP 886 each via Klook also.

Riding the HSR was actually comfortable. There were toilets, and vending machines in the train. WiFi was also available and each seat has a fold able tables similar to airplanes.

Upon arriving at HSR Taichung Station, we decided to grab a taxi going to Rainbow Village. Our taxi driver was very nice and friendly and suggested if we would want to avail his service to drive us around Taichung for NT$ 3500 (PHP 5,950) for 8 hours. At first we were hesitant but we compared prices in Uber and it was indeed cheaper to avail his service. We compared and saw that one way going to Rainbow Village is almost NT$900, which we computed with the other destination we would be paying either the same price or higher.

RAINBOW VILLAGE

Seeing Rainbow Village was literally colorful like the rainbow. There was no charge upon entering the site.

Rainbow Village is located at 408, Nantun District, Taichung City, Taiwan is open daily from 8am - 6pm.

The village was originally for demolition however, Rainbow Grandpa painted the houses and saved it from being demolished. The village was originally the place soldiers stayed at before. Neighboring houses were sold but Rainbow Grandpa remained.

At the end of the village is a room about its history and some information about Rainbow Grandpa.

I actually felt happy being in Rainbow Village. The colorful artworks brings so much joy.

ZHONGSHE FLOWER MARKET

Zhongshe Flower Market was next on our itinerary. This is widely popular because of the beautiful flowers you will be surrounded at.

It is located at No. 333, Section 5, Sanfeng Road, Houli District, Taichung City, Taiwan.

The Flower Market is open daily from 8am to 6pm and there is an entrance fee of NT$120 (PHP 204) for adults and NT$60 (PHP 102) for children.

Even though it as muddy during that day, we actually enjoyed having photos with the lovely flowers. Below were the photos from the flower market:

LUNCH AT WEST DISTRICT

We asked our driver to bring us to Chun Shui Tang since it is a well known milk tea place in Taichung. We were dropped at the West District if I’m not mistaken.

Before trying the milk tea, we looked for a place first where we could have lunch.

We saw a small restaurant and tried it. Name of the restaurant is in Chinese and that explains why I didn’t include the name here. 😅

The staff only speaks Chinese thus, we had a little difficulty ordering. However, there was a very nice customer of theirs that knows how to speak English. I think she noticed we had trouble ordering and helped us. The customer was the one translating, for us to order. We didn’t got her name, but to the lady who was in this restaurant last May 23, 2019 around 1-2pm, thank you for helping for us! 🤗

It was passed lunch time and the only choices they have were Chicken Curry Rice and Pork Noodle Soup. I’m not a fan of curry, so I ordered their Pork Noodle Soup which costs NT$ 100 (PHP 170).

CHUN SHUI TANG

Our first milk tea in Taiwan!

Serving was so large that one glass is good for 1-2 people. The glass is bigger than my hand and same size as my face! 😂

Both the original pearl milk tea and oreo milk tea tastes good! However, when the milk tea is compared here in Manila, our is way way sweeter even at 50% sugar. It seems that milk tea from Taiwan is not that sweet.

A medium Pearl Milk Tea costs NT$130 (PHP 221), and medium Oreo Milk Tea costs NT$ 120 (PHP 204).

FENGJIA NIGHT MARKET

I wasn’t able to have photo from the night market in Taichung. However, I had some videos of it on my vlog. 😊

Fengjia Night Market is similar with Ximending Night Market. Both has shops for clothes and skin care. They also have street foods left and right.

I was able to try the Fried Chicken from Angel’s that costs NT$ 70 (PHP 119). I really do like the fried chicken since it was not dry and very tasty!

Afterwards, we actually went home already since our 8-hour trip with our driver is almost ending. We bought extra food before heading back to out hotel at Ximending Night Market

Iceland, Days 1 & 2

This adventure begins with why taxis are not a good investment. Having to be at the airport at 6am, we scheduled an early morning taxi, which took the very creative route to the airport from the NW side of SA all the way around 1604 to 281 to the airport, missed an exit, generally meandered down the access road, adding 20 minutes and dollars to our plans. The day started looking up once we landed in JFK and lucked out on getting a day pass to the Delta Sky Lounge that they sell at the little lounge (near our landing gate) but are good at both the little and huge ones (near our take off gate). We made our way across terminals to the international side of the building where they have planes so large they take up 3 gates to park (AsianAir A380, I think). The lounge featured a really good buffet, bar, espresso machine, comfy seats, an outdoor patio and plenty of chargers that we availed ourselves to without much restraint. Definitely the most comfortable 8 hour layover we've ever experienced! Our overnight flight to Reykjavik was uneventful, though it was nice that they handed out eye pillows and earplugs to up the chance we could get a bit of rest. The seat pitch in economy is around 2" short than the length of Alex's thighs, so some creative seat and leg management was required. Alex had a grumpy gentleman who kept shaking his seat and saying "my knees!" sitting behind him, so no sleep was had despite many suggestions to said old guy about how to PUT HIS LEGS UNDER THE DAMN SEAT instead of to Alex's kidneys. Alas, none were heeded. We landed in Keflavik at about 7 am, went through the quickest customs and passport line we've ever been through, and out to the rental car building by way of a chilly bus ride. We picked up SIM cards at a convenience store by the terminal- 10G of data for $30. I swear the US is the grinch of mobile phone providers. Every other country we've been to is pay as you go and significantly cheaper per service than the US. Thanks, corporate oligarchy. After picking up our rental SUV and inspecting it very well (there were 2 separate people while we were waiting in line who came charging up to the counters demanding that the car was returned the same as it left in terms of scratch and dents, it seems that company might be a little on the scamy side when it comes to charging for damages), we set out toward the N1 road, or ring road. Our first stop was at a small shop with handmade wool and glass items. This wool is something else, it's super soft and weather resistant. I guess this is why a pair of mittens cost 50-60 bucks! While we didn't pick up that particular souvenir, Alex did get a small handmade bead from a glass blower in the gallery below the shop. Shortly after, we passed hilly farmland where we saw lots of the famous Icelandic horses, which honestly are quite a bit smaller than I expected. Maybe my comment about their size turned Alex's mind, but one of my favorite moments this far happened as we passed more hilly farmland and Alex turned around in his seat, exclaiming that he just saw tiny cows. I said, "there's tiny horses, but no tiny cows..." and upon closer inspection, these tiny furry cows turned out, in fact, to be sheep. Which, to be fair, are blocky and thick. But not quite bovine in nature. Every time we see sheep now, though, I moo at them.

Our first major stop was Seljalandsfoss, where there was a dual 200' waterfall that we were able to walk behind, throwing rainbows around us as we looked out. Of course, while getting super soaked all the while. Down a short trail, we came to Gljúfrabúi, which will probably be one of the coolest this we see. First, you walk down a path towards the river which appears to flow directly from rock wall until you get right up to it. However, the rock wall opens up and you climb up the river into a tunnel that opens up into a roofless cavern, through which a stunning and gigantic waterfall flows. The cavern is probably 60 feet wide at the bottom and 150 feet high. Words cannot do this justice, so in lieu of a thousand of them, we'll add pictures and videos of this! We saw some people in wedding clothes hiking down from near the top of the falls. Of course, we had to know what was up there. This took us on a very steep and slippery climb that was, thankfully, aided by some chains drilled into the rock. We made it about 3/4 of the way up the falls following this trail. But, we weren't yet at the top, and we had to keep looking for another way up. There was some displaced mud along a fairly sheer bit of rock wall that was several inches taller than my head. I managed to haul up with just a few leg scratches, and we were able to see the full, unobstructed falls from this vantage. Again, too beautiful to describe adequately! Coming down, though, another of my favorite moments thus far occurred. Alex manages, with more speed than I, to slip down the brief sheer bit back to the trail. However, I was trying to go down backwards as I thought it safer, but couldn't see where I was going. This became an issue when I thought I'd be low enough to hit the ground, but with my arms fully extended and one knee up in my ear, my down leg was still swinging freely. At this point I asked Alex for help, and he obliged. However, a detail that hasn't been noted yet is that due to the mist I had chosen to wear my big, purple rain coat that floated around me like a cape, somewhat obscuring Alex's view of my situation. He subsequently minorly misjudged my position and just about turned me into a sock puppet trying to help me down. This is further improved by the knowledge that I was about 1/2 inch away from the ground on my down leg, and panicking while also being unceremoniously grabbed. I landed safely, in the view of many, which was just great. At least the purple cape covered the errant assistance. Leaving Seljalandsfoss behind, we again ventured eastward on the ring road. We stopped by a roadside cafe for a couple cappuccinos and some delicious Idelandic tap water. A water bottle here is around $4, but the tap water is both better and free. We soon found Skogafoss, which is even bigger than Seljalandsfoss, at least in volume. It's exactly the same height, but at least 10x more water. This is a truly astounding volume of water; there's no getting behind this one. You can get pretty close, which will soak everything that is not 100% waterproof. To the right of the falls is a winding metal staircase with at least 500 steps. I (Alex) was entirely convinced I'd hike myself skinny on just that sadly failed. We found a small viewing platform at the top of the staircase offering a view of the edge of the falls and the river above. We continued up the muddy trail above the Skoga river, and found several more waterfalls that had smaller drops, but just as much water. At the return of a fine rain that started at Seljalandsfoss and would last at least another full day, we decided to put away the cameras and get down to the car as soon as we could. We arrived a while later, soaked to the bone. Going another hour and change further, we found our lodging for the first night, Guesthouse Vellir. It's a couple small houses and a hotel, which we stayed in. We got a private room and a shared shower/bath. Seeing as we were up for about 44 hours at this point, we both took a shower and went to sleep. Glorious, glorious sleep.
