Aisling called me heartless. But…I'm…I'm not. No! I'm not! I love Roman! I love him so much, I'll do anything for him.
He's given up so much of his life already because of me, and I won't let him give up any more. Not if there's something I can do about it.
It was always just the two of us against the world after Mom left.
Roman never got to have a normal life. He was too busy taking care of me.
He was always there for me. Always.
And I repaid him by getting him trapped on some stupid rock in the middle of nowhere. Some sister I am.
So the last time was a failure. So it literally blew up in my face. So what?
I'll try again and again a thousand times if it means even the slightest chance of success. I'll make up for the trouble I caused.
The way everyone looks at him now, because of me…he doesn't deserve that. They can call me whatever they want but all Roman did was believe in me.
I let him down before, but now I have another chance. The portal WILL work! I won't blow it this time.
I WILL get Roman home, back to the life he deserves. Fuck everyone else. Fuck Woeford. I don't care what happens to any of them.
Shit. Maybe I really am heartless.

“Can I say something off topic without you freaking out?” Zane asked. Roman gave him a look. Roman’s mind flashed to his and Lucy’s conversation outside the student center, and he tried to bury the sudden rush of guilt, and the intense anxiety that Zane had overheard them. He wasn’t ready for that conversation.
“Uh… yeah.” He said, worrying his bottom lip.
“Look, so I know you and Lucy are like… close.” Zane started, seeming to tread carefully. Roman’s brow furrowed, suddenly unsure of where this line of conversation was going.
“And I know you’re like, engaged now, or whatever.”
“Get to the point, Zane.” Roman said.
“Okay okay, I was just wondering like… you and Lucy…?”
Roman almost physically recoiled, making a face that was probably fairly rude if he was honest with himself.

A city of brick, a city of marble.
I finally built the shell of the Mamertine Prison. I moved and embellished two of the insulae and moved them to the foot of the Capitoline hill. Also, I built a smaller version of the Porticus Deorum Consentium.
This basically begins the first of the actual street scenes leading into the city center and creates a very big contrast between the Augustan Forum in its splendor and the blighted lives of the Empire’s working classes. My next task is to sculpt and landscape the Capitoline hill then work my way outward to the other geographic features.

how wonderful. i moved the family to san seqouia and now for some reason no one can interact with roman. so have this updated look of him for now (until i can figure out the eyelashes then he'll be Finished) he's cutest baby in the world and i'm not taking any criticism!

“Hey, you okay?” Roman glanced up when he heard the voice behind him.
“Oh… hi Ashe.” he said, “Yeah I’m okay.”
“Okay cool,” Ashe responded, smiling, “Can I join you then?”
“Uh…” Roman paused, unsure if he actually wanted company. He was fairly certain this was actually Ashe’s apartment though, and he wasn’t about to tell someone they couldn’t sit on their own couch. “yeah. Sure.”
Ashe wandered over to the other side of the couch and sat down. For a few minutes, he just sat next to Roman, staring out at the desert in front of them. He pulled out a cigarette pack after a moment, grabbing one, then offering the box to Roman.
“Ah… I don’t…” Roman gave an awkward half-smile.
“Hah! Good...” Ashe pulled his hand away, “Terrible habit really.”
Roman let out a sharp laugh, and Ashe grinned.
“I know, I know. I’m a hypocrite…” he laughed, “Still though.”

Look who’s back (again)
Hi guys! Long time no see and all that, I guess. Well, I saw you, but you didn’t see me because... we’ll say I am NOT a fan of 2022 so far (and we’ve just about half way through) and leave it at that.
Just, if anyone got the phone number of a witch that does speedy curse lifting, I may be interested (more if she does family discounts)
Anyhow, I have had some peace for the last week or so, so I decided to test my new PC muscles
And all the nice statues that have been converted for antiquity junkies like me...
Since Pikassos is an island, Poseidon is quite the important deity around here, and he has his own mini Parthenon:
Of course, Zeus being Zeus, he had to insert himself onto the place, because why be the king of Gods if you can’t annoy your own brother, I ask?
Artemis, maybe, checking out the place...
I’ve also build a few things in town, but they’re all WIP, so maybe next time...You guys know how it is after a long Sim break...
One has GOT to scour the net to put one’s greedy paws on all the lovely CC one missed... And then out it in game and all that.
I even tried reshade...well tried to try reshade and got not much further that a pretty headache. The only thing I could make sense of was the ready to use one at Modthesims, and that didn’t turn out great for my game, so it went right out.
Oh well, maybe I’ll figure it out in time.
Anyhow, nice to be able to see I still remember the cheat codes, and maybe I’ll see you next week ... or in 6 months!
