Dance Suite: A Maxis-Match Rococo Clothing Set For C-EF
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was inspired by my frustration with the Store's "Morning in the Garden dress," which is a decent approximation of a robe a la Francaise, if somewhat costume-y. The channels were poorly assigned, the mesh was nowhere near as wide as it ought to have been at the hips, there were no engageantes, but worst of all, there was no maternity morph for the young adults and adults! So I set out and made one. And then I adjusted the channels to make things much more fashionable. Because I can't be the only one to look at extant examples with mix-and-match stomachers, robes, and petticoats and think "YES PLEASE!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Option one (seen in picture four) has a channel for the robe, the petticoat and bows, the stomacher, and the tucker (1), choker, and engageantes (2).
Option two has a channel for the robe, the bows, the stomacher and bows, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
Option three has a channel for the robe and stomacher, the bows, the petticoat, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
Option four has a channel for the robe and petticoat, the bows, the stomacher, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
This dress is available for Everyday, Formal, Career, Makeover, and Maternity for Teens (Courante), Young Adults and Adults (Allemande), and Elders (Sarabande).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then I made a vaguely Rococo dress for the children, because I was sick of putting them in the Tudor dress, and they couldn't all wear Danjaley's dress all the time! The style could fit anywhere from, say, 1680 to 1780, though the polonaise-style ruffles might be more suitable for the 1770s-80s. It's darling, in my opinion.
Option one (not shown) has the original yellow gold rick-rack trim.
Option two has a new bronze rick-rack trim.
Option three has a new silver rick-rack trim.
All of the options have the same channels: bodice and skirt, sleeves, stomacher, and trimming.
This dress is available for Everyday, Formal, Career, and Makeover for Children (Gavotte).
There are some really harsh shoulder seams that I can't smooth out. Additionally, the child dress has a strange gap between the sleeve cap and the sleeve that I can't figure out; I may revise this when I'm more skilled at frankenmeshing.
All photos are unedited; what you see is what you get! You should not need the Store dress or Generations for these dresses to work.
Download them here. I hope you have a happy holiday season, and may this new year be safe, happy, and full of simming!
Credits
EAXIS for the original "Morning in the Garden" dress, as well as the "Dress With Bolero" and "Princess Dress Costume."
KentConverts for the teen and elder female conversions of said "Morning in the Garden" dress, as I took those meshes and bonedeltas and ran with them; you can have my dresses and Kent's at the same time, as they're separate items.
Edorenel, whose Colonial Williamsburg palette I used to make reasonably-period but still visually distinct presets in CAS.
@danjaley, for the poses, inspiration photo, and the wonderful tutorial on bonedeltas.
@simlicious, for the patterns and troubleshooting my initial forays into meshing!
(1) The "tucker" is the trim along the inside neckline. I decided to put it on the same channel as the engageantes and choker because I like the look.
(2) The "engageantes" are the lacy sleeve trim seen here. One day I'll make a set that actually is meshed...
(3) The self-stripe you see on the elder model is a pattern in progress of my own, borrowed from @simbury's silk stripes texture for TS2. I'm a sucker for self-stripes.

Paintings from Buckingham Palace: part I
A retexture by La Comtesse Zouboff — Original Mesh by @thejim07
100 followers gift!
First of all, I would like to thank you all for this amazing year! It's been a pleasure meeting you all and I'm beyond thankful for your support.
Spread among 13 occupied and historic royal residences in the United Kingdom, the collection is owned by King Charles III and overseen by the Royal Collection Trust. The British monarch owns some of the collection in right of the Crown and some as a private individual. It is made up of over one million objects, including 7,000 paintings, over 150,000 works on paper, this including 30,000 watercolours and drawings, and about 450,000 photographs, as well as around 700,000 works of art, including tapestries, furniture, ceramics, textiles, carriages, weapons, armour, jewellery, clocks, musical instruments, tableware, plants, manuscripts, books, and sculptures.
Some of the buildings which house the collection, such as Hampton Court Palace, are open to the public and not lived in by the Royal Family, whilst others, such as Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and the most remarkable of them, Buckingham Palace are both residences and open to the public.

Some Locatelli Concerti Grossi;
I’m looking for a Sims 3 Auditorium/Concert Hall that I can use in Chapters 6-8 of The Chikamori Legacy.
Also does anyone know how to control 25+ Sims so that they don’t get out of their confounded chairs. Secondly, I need to find a music stand (Sims 3). It’s gonna be tough to make an baroque orchestra with no music stands.
Sure wish someone comes up with other instruments. 😁

Amy's Sims: Remade 10 Years Later! These sims were all originally made by me in the span of 2013-2014.* I think my old simblr is both cute and cringey, but my very limited use of the same 3 facial presets and barely changing them is definitely more on the embarrassing side. Here's Mallory Jones (the mom in my 100 baby challenge), David "Goose" Baroque (one of the 60-something babies), Rachael Williams (spouse of my founder in the Elmore legacy), some guy (he was a baby daddy in the 100BC), Samantha Maldonado (spouse of one of the 60-something babies), and Bryce Calvert (made for a bachelorette challenge). * Mallory's hair and eye color were taken from a sim in The Danevbie Legacy (I was obsessed with this story! <3). Also, Goose was born in-game and his dad was made by @simmonium.

Baroque Castle WIP
Since I have created new baroque CC I have decided to make a new baroque castle interior. It is not finished yet as I may start work on more baroque interior. It is available for download in its current state but you will need certain castle recolours in the Link below
https://simfileshare.net/folder/187735/
https://simfileshare.net/folder/187728/
The Recolours will simply add swatches to pre existing CC and not override anything except for ZX-TA’s castle Caps. I apologise about this but I made the recolours for personal use a long time ago when I first figured out how to recolour CC.
You will also need my staircase and painted hall CC
https://simfileshare.net/folder/172486/
https://simfileshare.net/folder/186172/
and Gothic Vault set
https://simfileshare.net/folder/187181/
And Pictures and Portraits (Original Mesh)
https://simfileshare.net/folder/187737/
I have also recoloured regalsims flat ceilings - These are optional but I have added new swatches and smoothened out any graininess in the previous textures. I have also included my long gallery ceiling in this file with 3 swatches.
   https://simfileshare.net/folder/187740/
Other CC includes
The Jim 07
https://modthesims.info/d/661440/ionic-door.html
https://modthesims.info/d/656506/ionic-order-set-part-i.html
You will need all of TheJim07′s Pedestals and Sculptures found here: https://thejim07.tumblr.com/
I’d recommend just downloading all of this creators CC as it is great quality and I always use it in my builds.

Kerrigan House x simlit // Reader Appreciation Gift Design with Me |
I've wanted to make some kind of reader appreciation gift for a while but just never had the time to work on it. Now that my schedule has calmed down for a minute, I thought I could make this post. So consider this my invitation to all of my readers (yes all of you, even you lurkers!) to join in helping me design a fantasy custom content set. Details below:
The What: I will be making a collection of fantasy cc as a reader appreciation gift, hopefully with your input. This will likely be a small collection (around 10 or so pieces), which may or may not be cohesive, but we'll see lmao. The gifts will be for both Sims 4 and Sims 3 so don't let game iteration hold you back if you'd like to participate!
The How: Send me suggestions/requests for cc objects you'd like to see made. The only stipulation is that it should be fantasy themed, but it's a broad category and any sort of fantasy, magic or occult, (historical is fine too if it fits within the umbrella) objects are welcomed. You can either send me pictures, pins, or simply shoot me an idea if you have one via ask, submission, DM, or in comments (whatever you're most comfortable with). (Update: Pinterest board started here, I'll add to it as more ideas come in!). I may not take every suggestion (or be able to make everything) but I will do my best to include everything I can so please do not be shy to send me multiple references. There is no limit to how many ideas you can suggest.
The When: I plan to release the gift collection most likely around end of January or sometime in February. So feel free to continue to send me your suggestions through the next couple months. The set will be released here to my readers first before going up on KHD at a later date.
Misc. Details: When suggesting objects, please consider the complexity of the request. For those not following me on KHD you can see my portfolio here. I only make objects for public release, so that means no CAS and no build mode. My primary skillset is based around hard surface modeling, so there's a lot I can do, but please avoid suggesting anything that is heavily ornate; This includes incredibly detailed pieces, (think baroque, Victorian/Gothic), or any kind of sculpture including humanoid or animal shapes (I just can't do this kind of organic sculpting).

Getting Dressed in the Mantua Era, c. 1695
Tumblr media
Begin in a shift, stockings, and shoes. Shifts were always worn; the Hollywood look of corsets worn over bare skin is liable to cause skin irritation even if the wearer isn’t tightlaced.
Tumblr media
The stays are put on and laced. This is not tight-lacing, but it provides structure and back support. The shoes ought to be put on before the stays because bending to put shoes on while wearing stays with a busk would be somewhat poky.
Tumblr media
At least one petticoat is tied on under the stays to add shape; the fanciest petticoat is tied on last, as it will show under the mantua. A bum-roll may be added above the stays and below the fanciest petticoat, depending on taste and the fashionable shape of the era.
Tumblr media
The mantua is layered over the petticoats, and draped to taste. This pattern-mixing and color-contrast look was common, usually with smaller-scale patterns on the mantua and bolder patterns on the petticoat and/or stomacher. Sometimes there would be three or four competing patterns worn at once!
Tumblr media
The hair is styled, most commonly in an updo with curls stacked high over the forehead. The fontange is placed behind the highest point of the curls.
Tumblr media
The look is completed with gloves (at least elbow-length, if not higher), a pearl necklace tied high on the throat, and a fan.

La Galerie des Cotelles Set
A retexture by La Comtesse Zouboff — Original Mesh by @thejim07
At the very moment when Louis XIV wrote the first version of 《Manière de montre les jardins de Versailles》, he expressed his desire to recreate his words as images.
In 1688, he comissioned an outstanding set of 24 paintings describing the different groves in gardens with mythological allegories to be placed in the galerie at the Trianon de Marbre.
The ornamentation of the gallery linking Trianon to Trianon-sous-bois was entrusted to three painters between 1688 and 1689: Jean Cotelle painted twenty-one of the twenty-four canvases hung in this room, Etienne Allegrain two others, and Jean-Baptiste Martin.
This gallery, decorated around 1690, bears the name of the author of most of the paintings which appear there and which represent views of the groves of Versailles and Trianon, embellished with mythological figures.
This set remained in place until the First Empire. Napoleon I considered replacing them with paintings to his glory. The works will return to their original location in 1913 after being restored to 《La Colection Royale》 by Louis Philippe and can be seen there to this day.

And the family to go with my 1905 Queen Anne build! The Lloyds are an upper-middle-class family who bought the house in 1908. This isn’t a starter family; each of the family members come with pre-set skills, career, etc, which you can build on over time.
Their outfits and general appearance are consistent with early to mid 1910s standards, but they’re an interracial couple because fuck historical accuracy except when it comes to fashion.

Yes...I must have "The Master" - the composer of the Messiah... in my game...to stand in as a portrait...

Got them back!
Featuring: Erin Murphy, Lana Marino, BOE Ronan and BOE Izak.
Years ago we were breeding Friesians and Baroque Pintos, but because we needed to downsize (haha, we never did) we had to sell out of them. We kept Fito as the only friesian, but sold all the others.
But now they are back! Or well, some of them are.
Yesterday we saw two of our offsprings for sale on some site, and decided that we needed them back.
So give a warm welcome to Ronan(Baroque Pinto) and Izak (Friesian)! The stallions has been living at different stables, but recognized each other, as soon as they saw each other! The boys who grew up together had clearly missed each other.
So Erin, our dressage rider/instructor, and Lana, our general horsetrainer, was out seeing what they could do. They moved like heaven, and are ready for the higher classes in dressage with the double bridle they had been trained with at the old owners' places.
Lana isn't exactly a dressage rider for higher classes, but Erin, being the lovely woman she is and also an instructor, helped Lana and they looked great together!

Hello! This is probably too big of an ask, but WCIF literally all of these 17th century clothes? I've been obsessing over the top red one and the suit with the brooch on the throat specifically, so if that's all you're able to answer that's what I desperately want LOL. Thank you <3 It's the "/post/700149259728748544/sorry-for-the-spam-im-trying-to-finish-up-a-gift" post from November 6 2022, tagged #17th century sims 4.
YO I PUT THIS TOGETHER It is my "go baroque" (haha I think I'm hilarious) pin board--though it covers ALL baroque things, including anything from other eras that can be vaguely baroque-ish (particularly because various Regency and Victorian silhouettes and styles actually come pretty close to some baroque ones).
It's not literally everything but I hope it helps!!
