The 1400s gave way to the incredibly iconic accessories of the 1500s, namely hoods (both Gabled and French) and ruffs. While the end of the Tudor era saw the popularity of headdresses decline in favour of uncovered hair decorated with jewels, diadems, and feathers, prior to that headdresses were a vital part of court dress. In fact, the style of hood worn was often used as a political statement amongst the nobility. Hats had always been in fashion for men, but the 16th century saw them also become a fashion staple for women. CC links and reference images under the cut.

What language do the characters in your country speak, and are there any other languages that your characters interact with?
You may be psychic, because I've been working on some world-building related to language 😂
Armorica has two official languages, Armorican and Simlish. (1) Most people are fluent in both, but most families speak Armorican at home. All Armorican education is bilingual, so children begin learning whichever language isn't spoken at home during Kindergarten. Once they reach the age of 11 or so, many children choose to take a third language as an elective, and ambitious students will add a fourth language at some point in secondary school.
Tumblr media
History Lesson: Until the 16th century, Armorica was not a unified country, but a loosely-affiliated confederation of rival duchies with a shared language and cultural identity, similar to Renaissance Italy. The Armoricans on the west coast traded extensively with the neighboring Atrean Empire (modern-day Atrea), but Armoricans on the east coast and the Isle of Genera controlled a lot of the international maritime trade during this period.
Because there was no unified army or navy on the peninsula, it fell easily to the invading Atrean army in the early 1500's. As part of their imperial program, the Atreans worked to suppress the language and culture in order to assimilate the unruly, 'barbaric' Armoricans.
Because of the history of linguistic suppression at the hands of the hated Atreans, the Armorican language is integral to Kingdom's national identity. Even though many Armoricans speak a third (or even fourth) language, immigrants face a lot of pressure to learn the Armorican language, and families that don't speak Armorican at home are regarded with some suspicion, particularly in the east and on the Isle of Genera. (2)
In terms of other languages that exist in Armorica....I'm not sure! Mary and Roz both speak Komorebigo, and Mary speaks Tartosan, but even though both characters are meant to be polyglots, I've tried to avoid being too specific about which languages they speak. This is mostly to leave myself room for planning collabs and crossovers 😂 (3)
Thanks again for the question, it was fun to answer and have a chance to actually get some of the Lore down in writing.
re: Simlish. The second language of Armorica is whatever the international business language is. In the real world, it's English. In the sim world, it's Simlish. Armorica definitely doesn't exist in the real-world (I consider my story to be an alt-world story, not an alt-history story), but I don't know that it exists in the Sim world, either.
re: linguistic discrimination. Vivi is/was meant to be a victim of this kind of discrimination. Her family didn't speak Armorican at home, so she didn't learn the language until kindergarten...I don't think I did a great job getting it into the story, but the criticism and media harassment she was getting in Chapter 1 was meant to be a combo of classism and linguistic discrimination.
re: collabs. For example, one of Roz's languages is Uspanian (@nexility-sims) since we're planning a couple collab things.

A Decade Through Time: The Alderberg Legacy: Year 1578
A birth , birthdays and deaths 😢
From the Beginning I Resent
Tumblr media
Tragedy befell the community of Outland during the first quarter of 1578 , as the news of the well-liked blacksmith John Wardeby’s horrific end.
Tumblr media
Nobody was truly sure what had happen that night , only accounts from the now widowed Wardeby , who said that John was working late that night with a commission.
Tumblr media
Perhaps he did the most fatal error in the blacksmith trade - working while sleep deprived and not being aware of the fire sparks getting caught on his clothes.
Tumblr media
Anne was putting the girls to bed when she heard the terrifying screams and rushed downstairs to find the horrific sight of her husband in flames.
Tumblr media
When Anne finally managed to collect herself , she ran outside to get help but when she arrived with neighbors her husband burns were to fatal. He was only 30 years old.
Tumblr media
The death of John haunted Anne , she felt useless and weak. The now 24 year old widow was left alone with two small children with no ideas of what to do. Maybe it was how her mother felt being a widow..?
Tumblr media
But unlike Mary , Anne was thankful for having family. It was decided among the siblings that Anne and her girls would be staying with Eleanor’s family.
Tumblr media
Arthur had resiliently lost his mother after a long times sickness and was a close friend of Johns. He would help Anne with the legal matters of selling the workshop and putting it aside for her and for the girls dowries.
Tumblr media
William had offered the same of letting Anne live with them but with Rebecca heavily pregnant and Anne’s bad feelings towards their former step-father’s for essentially removing her from her siblings do to him not being able to handle his grief over her mothers death , she softly refused.
Tumblr media
Rebecca has been struggling with this pregnancy , the things she was able to do while expecting Griffyn felt like impossible tasks.
Tumblr media
And she felt so emotional all the time! When she accidentally burnt the dinner she couldn’t stop crying over it.
Tumblr media
While the sims were struggling , Tristram the cat was enjoying life as a pet. Napping , eating and playing was his daily activities , and soon hunting as well!
Tumblr media
3 months after Johns death , good news arrived over the birth of William and Rebecca’s second child. William was now the father of another little boy.
Tumblr media
By her words , Rebecca named the boy Henry. Even though her pregnancy was rough , she was glad baby Henry was healthy and strong. But it was agreed that they would wait a bit before trying for  another baby.
Tumblr media
Good news came to break Anne’s gloomy state as little Sybil became a bunching toddler. She was relieved for if her little girl had died so soon after her father she wouldn’t know what to do.
Tumblr media
By the end of 1578 , William had his 20th birthday. In one years time he will be old enough to be the head of household and take more responsibilities of his stepfather’s shoulders.
Tumblr media
William was always a very nurturing man , perhaps it came with years surrounded by only sisters.  He was happily married to the lady of his heart , a father of two healthy sons and life was good.
Tumblr media
Life was really , really good and shortly after William’s birthday , Griffyn turned 2 . He is a messy boy who refuse to wear his baby hood , but a good lad none the less.
Tumblr media
He is the second Alderberg male to become a toddler , so it was a big deal. Hopefully Henry will be joining him on the adventure of growing up in the 16th century.
I felt very bad for Anne that John rolled a bad roll.  She wasn't happy to marry him at the beginning but grow to love him as they spent more time together. Now she’s a widow at 24 with 2 little kids.
She did roll a remarriage roll , so I will let her get remarried after 3 years , so in 1581. She also rolled a additional 2 for baby roll , so in the end she will potentially have 4 children. Anne's story is almost mimicking her moms - husbands dying at 30 , having small children to raise, remarriage and two additional children on the horizon, its quite amazing in a different sense.
Also , look at William 😍 My baby is a young adult now! I was scared because he rolled a 2 , if he had rolled a 3 he would have died and since he had Griffyn and Henry I wouldn’t save him if he did 😞
And Griffyn! He looks like his momma 🥰 No idea where he got the green eyes , maybe it from one of Rebecca’s parents. I can’t wait to see how Henry will look like if he survives his toddler roll.

Bibliography and Visual References
When I began creating San Simeon, I wanted a setting where I could play out a legacy challenge themed to Filipino history. I've always wanted to try a historical legacy challenge and this was the story I was most confident in telling. And while it would be a lot of work, at least I was working from a place of familiarity. Or so I thought. Turns out I had a lot to learn.
I did a lot of research on colonial (and later, precolonial) history to get the aesthetic right. Illustrated works were crucial since the Sims 3 is a visual medium that favored a lot of detail. I also needed to know how societies of the time worked so I could adapt them into game play. I can’t put in everything, of course, but I try to adapt as best I can.
Here’s a general list of the sources I used to recreate my historical builds and settings, plus a few works that I’d recommend for those interested in Philippine history. Note that I have a strong preference for visual works.
Period Documents
Laguna Copperplate Inscription (900): The earliest surviving written document found in the Philippines whose incidental details provide a look into the lives of the aristocracy of the period. The English translation can be found here.
Relazione del primo viaggio intorno al mondo (c. 1524 - 1525) by Antonio Pigafetta. Known in English as The First Voyage Round the World, this was the first published account of European contact between Europeans and the people of what would become the Philippines. Prior to the Copperplate Inscription’s discover this and similar accounts from later Spanish chroniclers were the primary sources of what Filipino people were like before the conquest. You can read Lord Stanley’s translation on Wikisource or Robertson’s translation on Project Gutenberg.
Boxer Codex (c. 1590): A Spanish illustrated book showing the appearance and clothing worn by the inhabitants of East and Southeast Asia during the late 16th Century, with a focus on the indigenous inhabitants of the Philippines. Images can be viewed from the Indiana University Digital Library or Wikipedia.
Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas (1603) by Antonio de Morga. This was an official chronicle of the country from the early 17th Century, providing official accounts of both prominent conquerors and indigenous leaders and provides a glimpse of life during the early days of the conquest. This book was important in Dr. Jose Rizal’s own analysis of Philippine history and he annotated his own copy extensively. The English edition is available from Archive.org.
Bankoku Sozu (c. 1671): This name refers to a type of world map first published in Japan during the Tokugawa shoguns came to power. These maps, while stylistically Japanese, used techniques learned from European scholars. The maps also included a collection of images representing the national costumes of people from the countries of the world. A few of these maps depict colonial-era indigenous Filipinos. Notably, the man is wearing stockings, indicating the couple depicted came from the native nobility (principalia), who were likely to imitate the fashions of the colonizers. See two examples from the University of British Columbia and Wikipedia.
Carta Hydrographica y Chorographica de la Yslas Filipinas Manila (1734): The period map contains illustrations of daily life in the Philippines during the 18th century, including depictions of what the people of the time, from the natives and foreign traders to the Spanish and Mestizo elite, had been wearing during that
Catalogo alfabetico de apellidos (1849), by the administration of Governor General Narciso Claveria y Zaldua: This is a compilation of period surnames from 1849, assigned to various indigenous Filipino families who lived in the Spanish-controlled areas of the country.
Period and Period-Inspired Art
Huang Qing Zhigong Tu (c. 1761), by Xie Sui: Also known as Paintings of Tributary People of the Great Qing, this is an ethnographic compendium of tributary peoples of Qing Dynasty China, which includes depictions of people within the Chinese Empire, its neighbors that pay it tribute (hence, “tributary”), and foreign nations in Europe. The book depicts two regions now found in the Modern Philippines. The first are a man and woman from the Sulu Archipelago, which had at the time been a separate nation in constant conflict with the Spanish. The second a depiction of a man and a woman from what is identified as Luzon. While the woman wears clothing that can be clearly identified with the native aristocracy, the man wore European clothes, indicating that he is a European colonizer (and confirmed within the text).
The full illustration is shown on this link from the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. This article, meanwhile, shows important highlights of the document and provides commentary on it in English (and singles out the pair of Filipinos). You can also download the full text and images as a .pdf for free here (the link to buy is for a hardbound copy).
The illustrations of the artists of the Malaspina Expedition (c.1792): These images depict Manila and various parts of the Philippines from before the 19th century. As most images of the Philippines in the popular consciousness are based on mid- to late 19th Century images, these prints are a valuable source of information on 18th and Early 19th Century Philippine architecture from the British occupation to  the time of Napoleon’s conquest of Europe.
Tipos de País (folk costume) paintings by Damian Domingo and others (1820s onward): There are many of them. I frequently find them in many of my sources. They’re a useful reference in creating depictions of 18th through 19th Century clothing in the Sims. You can see a sizable collection of them on Wikipedia.
The works of Fernando Amorsolo (1914 - 1972): Amorsolo is among the most beloved artisans in living memory and his oil paintings provided a glimpse of what turn of the 20th Century Filipino life was like. His portrayals are quite idealized and romanticized, however, which means you have to take their depictions of happy peasants in bucolic environments with a grain of salt.
The Visual Noli me Tangere by Leonardo Tayao Cruz (2002 - 2006): These are a series of paintings patterned after the chapters of Rizal’s seminal novel. Each painting is a depiction of the Philippines in the mid-1800s. You can view the paintings here.
Photographs and Image Compilations
The Manila Daguerreotypes (c. 1840s): These are the oldest photographs taken of what would become the modern Philippines and show Manila as it was in the 1840s. These were taken by an anonymous photographer who was a guest at an American trading house somewhere in Manila. View these photos at Filipiknow.net.
Various photographs and prints from the collections of John Tewell: If you want a one-stop shop for various period images, look no further. Included are various images of Manila during the turn of the century and copies of the urban cityscapes of the Malaspina Expedition.
Reputable Web and Social Media Sources
The Time Trekker: The Time Trekker is a Facebook page run by one of my old professors in college, Mr. J.P Abellera (notably, he was also involved in the production of Quezon's Game). Included are photographs he and other like-minded history lovers took of heritage structures across the country.
Project Vinta: An official page of the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation, the page shares various events and facts on the history of the Philippines. It has a series called "On This Day" where it shares the stories behind major events that took place on a specific date in Philippine history.
The National Quincentennial Committee: This government-sponsored organization is responsible for the 500th anniversary of Spanish contact and the events surrounding it, including the Battle of Mactan. The committee also provides plenty of resources on precolonial Filipino societies on the eve of contact.
Renacimiento Manila: Renacimiento Manila focuses on heritage preservation within Manila itself and is involved in a digitized scale reconstruction of the heritage structures both extant, reconstructed, and lost to recreate Manila as it may have appeared on the eve of the Second World War. The page and the organization behind it also advocate for the in situ preservation of heritage structures. They also provide easy to understand resources on architectural styles and historical fashion, albeit restricted to Manila.
The National Museum of the Philippines: Physically, the National Museum is free to enter. The institution provides several exhibits on various aspects of Philippine history and culture from the earliest part of human prehistory to the colonial era. Its exhibits also encompass natural history and ecology, so you can get to know what life was like before the first modern humans arrived in the Philippines. Their Facebook page is a good place to learn about various items (from fossils to historical artifacts) in their collection from home.
The Aswang Project: This website and its associated YouTube channel is an excellent beginner’s resource on the mythologies (note the plural) of the Philippines, which includes not only the stories associated with indigenous religions but also mythical creatures in pre- and post-colonial Philippine lore.
Period Literary Fiction
Noli me Tangere (1887) and El Filibusterismo (1891) by Dr. Jose P. Rizal: It just wouldn't be right not to include these two novels. Many Filipino literature nerds fell in love with the novel in high school. It was required reading for a good reason, too, as it illustrated the contemporaneous challenges faced by the native and mixed-race Filipinos during the terminal end of Spanish rule. I’ve linked to digital copies of the English translations, which are available for free on Project Gutenberg. I have the comic.
Reference Works
The Philippine Islands: 1493 - 1898 (1906), by various authors, edited by Emma Helen Blair and translated by James Alexander Robertson: This is a compendium of various documents related to the history of the Philippines translated into English. The books as compiled come in various volumes, some of which can be read from Project Gutenberg.
Filipinos in China Before 1500 (1989) by William Henry Scott. This annotated document provides a glimpse into the complex history of imperial China’s relations with the various states in the Philippines before Spanish contact. This provides a good historical snapshot of the Philippines at the time as it provides attestation for various states in the Pasig River Delta, Butuan, Pangasinan, and the Visayas. It can be read from the University of the Philippines - Dilliman website.
Looking for the Prehispanic Filipino (1992) by William Henry Scott. This is a collection of essays by Scott, which touches on the details of precolonial life and the ways that the historical records during the early contact period can be re-examined to paint a more accurate picture of life before and during the advent of the Spanish conquest. A copy can be found on Archive.org.
Kasaysayan: The Story of the Filipino People (1998), edited by Jose Y. Dalisay, Jr.: This is an encyclopedic compendium consisting of works written by various authors on different socio-political events in the Philippines from ancient prehistory to the 1986 People Power Revolution that ended the Marcos regime. The articles were written in-depth and provide insight and opinion into how precolonial, colonial, and post-colonial society worked at the time.
Fun fact: Many of the aforementioned illustrations can be found in these books’ pages.
Museum Exhibits
Various exhibits at Bahay Tsinoy: The heritage center’s many exhibits showcase the history of the Chinese settlers in the Philippines and the impact that Chinese Filipinos had in shaping the country’s culture, language, and political history.
Various exhibits at the Ayala Museum:
Gold of the Ancestors: This is an interactive exhibit showcasing the many gold grave artifacts (most of them grave goods) of the pre-Hispanic native aristocracy. The gold displayed the artisanship of the precolonial goldsmiths and the wealth of the lowland city-states of the period.
A Millennium of Contact: This exhibit provides excellent historical background for the contact that Ancient Filipinos had with the Chinese, as told through the ancient Filipino aristocracy’s favorite luxury import: fine porcelain.
Art and the Order of Nature in Indigenous Filipino Textiles: This exhibit provided a basic idea of how indigenous textiles worked. This is vital to creating and improvising the art and textiles of the pre-colonial inhabitants.
The Diorama Experience: Perhaps one of my biggest sources, rivaling Kasaysayan. These images provide a realistic depiction of many of the major milestones of Philippine history.
Remember: It's important to rely on multiple sources of good repute, so that you can compare details, spot possible errors, and make a fair assessment. As my research continues, expect the bibliography to expand.

4t3 Convert from Simulated Style’s 16th Century Dress
For my first post and for my first cc release: A beatiful renaissance dress, that was used mainly in the 16th century! I always felt that the sims 3 lacked alot in terms of renaissance/high middle ages cc, so, i felt like converting something historical and nice for everyone to enjoy!
It’s valid for everyday, formal, sleepwear, career, and it’s valid for maternity!
I’ve used the primarily swatches from the original, the sims 4, photoshoot (https://simulatedstyles.tumblr.com/post/628974258073255936/16th-century-gown-by-simulated-styles-this-dress).
ALL CREDITS GO TO SIMULATED STYLES! IT’S NOT MY MESH, AND IT’S NOT MY TEXTURES, I JUST CONVERTED IT TO THE SIMS 3!

Ghosts’ “The Bone Plot” theories
I think the ghost involved in the assassination plot is definitely Humphrey.
I think it’s more likely he was involved in a plot to assassinate a royal figure, rather than being the figure of assassination himself.
He may have not realized how involved he was - perhaps his house (Button House) was used for meetings but he himself had no idea. Could his French Catholic wife have been involved in the plot? If so, could it have been pro-Catholic sentiment, pro-Mary I and anti-Elizabeth I or anti-Edward VI, a wish to return to a Catholic England? What became of the other plotters?
Was Humphrey being implicated, and perhaps the only one executed part of the plan in case the conspirators were caught? I can’t really see Humphrey willingly wanting to assassinate a monarch, but he does like being included... peer pressure perhaps?
The real house the show is filmed in, West Horsley Place, has an interesting connection to the famous Sir Walter Raleigh, who was executed in 1618 for his role in the “Main Plot”, an alleged plot to remove King James I from the throne. Sir Waler’s head was embalmed and given to his wife which she supposedly kept in a bag. West Horsley Place was owned by Sir Walter’s third son and a bag from that time period (but prob not the actual one from the legend) was found a few years ago at West Horsley Place.
So, although the time period is off by probably 50 years or so, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sir Walter Raleigh’s story was an inspiration for this episode. Perhaps Humphrey’s skull will be found in a bag? Maybe his body is in a local church but the head was left forgotten at Button House?
(I think the reason he’s fully dressed with a ruff may not mean it wasn’t a fully planned execution - it may have just been a costume design choice. Way more interesting to see Humphrey in full 16th century garb than in 16th century underclothes.)
Perhaps the documentary will reveal that Humphrey was innocent after all...

Just a little [PatCap?] observation from Ghosts season 3 episode 3, “The Woodworm Men”:
When the Captain mentions “horseplay in the lake” we get a particular little nod from Pat as well...

One more bit of over-analysis on this promo image - perhaps the smoke behind the Captain is specifically the “Fog of War”?
From wikipedia: “The first known use of the exact phrase in text dates to 1896 in a book titled The Fog of War by Sir Lonsdale Augustus Hale, where it is described as ‘the state of ignorance in which commanders frequently find themselves as regards the real strength and position, not only of their foes, but also of their friends.’”
(Is it a stretch to add that the space behind him also looks like one of the long halls at Button House?)

Button House in Sims 4
I’ve been working on a build of Button House in the Sims 4 for several months now, and I’m finally happy enough with it to post it to the Sims gallery! I’ve been pouring over screenshots to get everything as accurate as the Sims will allow me. Some rooms doubled-up as other rooms in filming (Fanny’s bedroom, the tv room) or the rooms aren’t where they’re implied to be. The tv room is implied to be somewhere with a view of the front gate (s2e3) but I believe it’s actually filmed in the room across the hall from Alison and Mike’s bedroom (the room with the creepy Morse code doll). So I’ve included that room twice (partly because the attic version is glitchy). This house is now available to download on the Sims 4 gallery, I hope you all enjoy! (There are a few location-based spoilers for series 3, but nothing major). My username on Sims4 is VelveteenHamlet9.

Rules: answer 21 questions, then tag 21 people you want to get to know better. I was taggeg by @wistfulpoltergeist [ thanks, man, I needed smth to take my mind off the work issues ].
nickname Vel. Well, it’s Valentin actually, but in Russian a shorter form would be “Valya” and this… thing summons a demon inside of me. Though, when I studied in the UK, everyone called me “Val”, so I’ve gotten quite used to it - and since I like the sound of it, but don't like the look of it - it became “Vel” and we’re done here.
zodiac: Virgo
height: ~187 cm
last thing you searched Место встречи изменить нельзя english title
favourite musicians: Beethoven, Handel, Shostakovitch, Schubert, Tchaikovsky... And here you can find smth more modern, hehe.
if you had a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future? A turn of 16th and 17th century for sure. But I hope it’s not a disposable time machine, for I’d like to see Ancient Egypt too.
do you get asks? From time to time. WCIFs mostly, but sometimes wonderful people write me some wonderful things and it’s very inspiring.
following: My fave ts4 creators, people who post beautiful edits and interesting stories, blogs dedicated to architecture, dark or cozy aesthetics and art.
would you rather be rich or famous? I would give away all my money just to stay unknown, so...
amount of sleep? 4-5 hours. ~7 on very rare lucky days.
what’re you wearing? Old black jeans and t-shirt with “purrr evil”, blue flannel shirt and felt boots - no kidding, it’s the best soft and comfortable slippers you can imagine for the cold season.
dream job: A video games writer - but actually I’m pretty fine with my current job [ I’m a project manager in an IT company ].
dream trip: Wanna see Lena pillars maybe. However, I don’t dream a lot.
if you were an animal, what would you be? I’d like to reply “raven” but rook is more likely.
what are some of your favourite—
books: Gosh, there are SO MANY! Well, my life would never be the same without Tolkien’s Silmarillion, Machiavelli’s Prince, Bulgakov’s Heart of a Dog, Plato’s dialogues, Le Guin‘s Wizard of Earthsea, Huxley’s Brave New World, Wilde’s Ideal Husband, Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, Sabatini’s Captain Blood, Lampedusa‘s Leopard and Platonov’s Foundation Pit. I’m not totally crazy and also I really like Neil Gaiman, Frank Herbert, David Wingrove, William Gibson, China Mieville, Arturo Perez-Reverte, Neal Stephenson and many others.
But my usual bookshelf consists of, for example, "The Military Organisation of a Renaissance State: Venice c.1400 to 1617","Artful Armies, Beautiful Battles: Art and Warfare in the Early Modern Europe", "Turin, 1564-1680: Urban Design, Military Culture and the Creation of the Absolutist Capital" and so on.
And I just adore Zelazny‘s Lord of Light and Whittemore’s Jerusalem Quartet.
films: Just like the books - a terrible mix of everything. 2046, Metropolis, Ikiru, Amarcord, Only Old Men Are Going to Battle, The Damned, Fight Club, Psycho, The Godfather, Starwars I-VI, Amadeus, Master and Commander, The Bridge on the River Qai, Blade Runner, Wild Strawberries, The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, Cube, Citizen Cane, 2001: A Space Odyssey... Well, it’s sort of an endless list, tbh.
shows: I can watch almost everything, but let’s talk of what I watched more than 2 times. So... Babylon 5, Firely, HBO Rome.
games: Morrowind, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 1-3, Dark Souls series, Portal 1-2, Planescape: Torment, Baldur’s Gate 1-2, Pillars of Eternity 1, Deus Ex series, Pathologic 1-2, Dishonored 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3. You also can look here.
instruments you play: I can play guitar and probably piano, but it was really long ago.
languages: Native Russian, macabre English and Français misérable.
describe yourself as an aesthetic: Can’t choose between a small rock somewhere in the northern fogs and a stainless mirror.
I tag @remussims, @plazasims, @lizziksims, @ft19891211-sims, @something-wicked-sims, @windenlove, @teanmoon, @elfydrell, @aggressivekitty, @raventons, @miljamaison, @dallasgirl79, @o--b-s-c-u-r-u--s, @happylifesims, @blahberry-pancake, @helsoseira, @rethdis-love, @lazyeyelids, @sentate, @sg5150, @hula-zombie.

I haven’t yet rolled for Mary’s remarriage roll , but I’m thinking if I should do it before the black plague (1563) or afterwards.
I'm currently on the first day of 1561 and it's been 2 years since Philip died (he died on the first day of 1559). I'm unsure how long mourning period was in the 16th century and how long a widow should stay a widow before finding a new husband.
There is also the question of Mary new husbands occupation should be. Mary has 11 000 simoleons left from selling the horses and securing Anne’s 5000 dowry (Eleanor took over Catherine dowry) , and that’s enough money in morbid rolls to marry rich sim, since you need 10 000 in dowry. But technically it's not her money but Williams for when , or if , he becomes a teenager. Mary and the kids will probably move in with the new husband too.
I like the idea of her marrying someone who is a craftsman or somebody who has a job. Philip was a horse breeder/farmer which was fun but also stressful with all those horses , hence why I sold them and it would’t have been easy for Mary to take care of 3 kids under the child life stage and four horses.
I took into consideration that Mary would probably attract a older man , since she is in her thirties which at this time quite old, maybe someone who also is a widower. I don’t think I will add step-kids , mostly because it will make it hard to document in my spreadsheet and family tree. Mary and her new hubby will be allowed to have x number of kids since I will roll for that as well.
Any thoughts , tips or opinions on what I should do or think?

Just a word of warning that some of the later tags may not show all the entries that have them, for example Gintama doesn’t show up in the lengthy series tag despite being tagged as such. For some reason tumblr only allows the first 20 to be searchable so keep that in mind.
