Sims 3 Gameplay Mods
I was going through MTS looking for mods to improve my gameplay and thought I would share the ones I downloaded!
Livestreaming Mod - Allows your sims to livestream from a PC for tips, blog followers, and celebrity points.
More Pregnancy Interactions - Adds more options for the pregnant sim and more social interactions with all age groups!
Yoga Mod - Allows your sim to do yoga and also lead a yoga class for simoleons.
Laundromat Fix - Actually empties the laundry hamper on your sims home lot when using a washing machine at a laundromat.
Dirty Laundry Mod - Gives your sim a negative moodlet when dirty laundry hasn't been washed in a few days. Gives more incentive to do your sims laundry!
Layoff Mod - Gives your sim a 2% chance at the end of every work day of being laid off. Depending on their work level they may get unemployment benefits.
Nicer Vendors - Overrides the default animations when interacting with vendors, looks more friendly.
Acne Mod - Gives teens-adults a chance of waking up with acne. Adds washing face options and applying acne toner at sink.
Sunscreen - Allows you to buy sunscreen from the store, will protect sims from getting a sunburn with Seasons installed. Works on vampire sims as well.
Restaurant Host Career - Allows your sim to work part time at diners/bistros as a host. Only 1 career level.
TSM > TS3 Facial Expressions - Overrides most s3 facial expressions with the sims medieval ones making them a lot more realistic and natural looking.
One With Nature - Allows your sims to sleep outside on ground, wash themselves in bodies of water, and go to the bathroom outside. Needs Nraas traveler mod to work. (Good for apocalyptic gameplays/adding realism?? haha)
Walk Cycle Edits - Overrides original walk cycles so there's no forced smile, allowing your sims to make facial expressions based on mood/surroundings.
The Randomizer Mod - Triggers more random events that effect your household. Adds more realism and can effects the relationships/friendships your sims have. (Can choose between which random event modules you want in your game based on play style!)
More Negative Moodlets - Negative moodlets cause a greater effect on your sims mood making it a bit more realistic.

i actually had so much fun last night (4am) working on this upcoming postfor love day. i just want to advise that the eyes are supposed to look like a picture of a dog with the flash on.

on to 2024… 🌸
if you had told me that “kiss me in komorebi” has 168 posts under its belt, i wouldn’t have believed you. almost 200 posts, and we’ve had one rose ceremony? 😅 you know i can’t resist a story!
uber gushy post under the cut ⬇️
2023 was an incredibly amazing and simultaneously terrifying year for me. we moved out of my in-laws house and into our first apartment, only to get removed from our jobs unfairly and driven to near bankruptcy as a result. i’ve had intense highs and devastating lows, and throughout it all, my friends here and my little pixel people helped me keep my head above the dismal despair of every hard moment.
i’ve been incredibly removed from simblr as a social space lately, and aside from my usual social anxiety FOMO, i regret it because this is an amazing and truly wonderful community that deserves more!! we are all bonded in our mutual experience of “i imagined this and it excited me so much that i just had to share it with someone, i hope you enjoy it too” and that has done so much for my own personal sense of creativity and imagination 🥹
tumblr limiting me by 30 pics is obscene because i saved over 100+ in reading back through this challenge. seriously, how has so much and so little happened?? and really, it’s not so little at all. the wonderful creators who entrusted their sims not only just to me as their watcher™️ to have in my game, but also as a writer to give them voice?? i have enjoyed every second of watching these tiny little artificial intelligences interact with one another, and as we advance into the more serious portion of this challenge, i will miss every single on of them as they continue on this journey with dan 🥹
who, by mentioning, is my fucking son. i have never been so emotionally attached to a sim before: i’ve loved all my gp sims, you have to!! but i look at dan and i know his story (well, of course, BUT STILL), i know who he is and i just… i love the lil guy 🥹🙏 bless you all for giving his hunkiness a place in your hearts: he has flourished so far beyond the stoic, kinda-grumpy dilf he began as (and we can all thank nova sammyshuno for his existence at all) and i am so thankful this challenge took him in a different direction than what i originally saw for him!
he is my lil goober and i would have him no other way 💛 my gratitude post is still in the works: i have a lot to do on the side for myself and my fiance, and even though i have every reason to continue on my mission forward with our sidework (voice acting), my executive dysfunction and general depression had me sitting on my ass this morning, scrolling through screenshots instead of editing maxwell’s vacation or recording audios to post. i am stuck in cycles, and breaking them has never been my strong suit. 😩
but this is a new year!! and i swear to everything, i am not going through another one like the last. you all will be seeing much more of me, both as a simblr and as a friend, and i can’t wait to see what this new year has in store for us 💛

I'm still pretty new here and I don't know what's going on, but I've been seeing @kashisun's Simblr Office posts everywhere and I thought these little guys I was saving would fit the prompt pretty well. Figured I'd give y'all some juicy office gossip fodder.
This is Glenn Bridges, he's that one IT guy sent from corporate to help with that network infrastructure thing no one really understands, but that's not really what's important here. At first, he seemed like your average IT guy, he's kinda schlubby, awkward, doesn't really say much to anyone, (not that anyone ever says anything to him because he could literally dox all of y'all if he wanted too, but I digress.) Turns out... he has a cute boyfriend that drops by every day to have lunch with him. Word around the water cooler is that his name is Issara Lum. He's a musician, he's very neat and extremely talkative. Matter of fact these two seem like complete opposites, but here they, laughing up a storm over coffee every day for 30 minutes, and there never seems to be a dead moment between them. Everyone is slightly confused about how these two got together, but you know what... GOOD FOR THEM.

Hello again i decided to expand on my sims for the simblr office idea by @kashisun once again thank you for this and apologies if im a bit spammy im slightly excited lmao

Introducing our office babes
Christian Sinclare:
33 years old but feels 50
Doesn't like coffee but drinks it to stay awake
His favorite color is Naomi's hair color👀
..... And sage green
Literally the only accountant in this company that you can talk to that wont bring up budget cuts in the first 5 mins
His favorite meme is the "keep calm and carry on" meme but people call him an old man if he brings it up. #leavesinclarealone2023
Always works late but only because he prefers to finish the financial reports on the same day he started them so he can sleep at night (anxiety gang hello👋)
So many coworkers from other depratments come down and talk to him about various Accounting things he has no idea why its not like he is the manger or head of the department ( its because he is handsome and all the peeps want a piece of him he's just too cluless to notice)
Obsessed with the presence of Mathematical algorithms in nature and everyday life
His favorite is how Bats can find the exact location of things using echo location and the math behind that
The golden Ratio is another obsession and he spends his days off in Museums observing painting that has them
Naomi Marroquin:
31 years old iced coffee addict
Her hair color was an accidental dark red home hair dye job that went wrong but she liked it so much she kept it for years
Her favorite color is red
Hates staying late and leaves the office at 5 o'clock sharp and no one can stop her (trust me they tried)
Says she doesn't care for all the office gossip and scandal but she is besties with the one HR employee from how much she goes down there to get the juicy gossip
Is the senior graphic designer but the graphic department head put her in charge of Budgeting and making exel sheets for the accounting department because she was the only one with "excel proficiency" on her resume
That was a lie
The first time she got assigned an excel sheet assignment she googled "how to learn excel fast" then added " for dummies" exactly 2 mins later
She oftten clashes withthe Accounting department on thier requestes to lower costs and cut out quality
Hates doing all the obove through email and tries to meet anyone from the accounting department but they all avoid her because they have no time for her 30 mins lectures about the importance of paper quality
Fun facts:
Naomi is taller than Christian 💓
Naomi used her personal email on accident for her resume which is called: [email protected] but they hired her anyway because they desperately needed someone with excel skills
Naomi's corporate style is inspired by her mom who used to be a corporate goth but naomi is not one (infact some of her office Fashion staples were given to her by her mom)
Christian's second reason for staying late is that he hates going home to an empty quiet small Appartment and prefers the feel of the big spaces of the office
Christian refuses not not wear any sort of jacket during his workday but once the day is over and everyone leaves he takes of his jacket loosens up his tie and takes out his bun to feel more comfortable
Naomi once saw christian at a museum staring really hard at a painting then she saw that painting printed on a corset the next day it made her laugh so much she had to buy it for work
One day Naomi wore tights with bats on them (vintage 😉) when she arrived at work and "happened" to get in the elevator with Christian he instantly said "nice bats" but then panicked and went into how much he loves bats for 10 mins straight. Naomi instantly fell for that panicked rizz lol
Next day she came to the office with some nice bat earing but swears its not related to Christian and his love of bats(it is) and its NOT HER GIVING HIM SIGNS OMG GUYS DO YOU WANT ME TO GET WRITTEN UP TO HR( she totally was)
How they got close and began working together:
After a particularly tough day at work of having to stay late and trying to get through to the accounting department because they wont budge on buying the expensive colored ink for thier printers and how not doing that will compromise the color quality plus almost calling the accounting manger an uneducated potato,
she decided to pass by the empty (or so she thought) accounting department to let out some cuss words at a poor empty desk, she saw Sinclare sitting there tie loosened and all and decided to try again and convince him to not cut the important supplies from the budget

After he recovered from that he told her he will help her write better more convincing reports to present to the department and from then on they became friends (who are trying so hard and failing not to fall for each other)

1. I’ve mentioned it recently, but I’m changing up the reason why she comes to Twinbrook a little bit. Originally, her father gets a new job in Twinbrook, but there’s nothing else really about it. That's all, just a new job. Now, there’s a bit more to that. He’s a detective, and he’s been called to the area to solve a strange crime others have been struggling with. He spends most days working on the case over in Bridgeport. He’s very careful with his daughter, he wants to keep her really really safe (maybe too safe), but he’s so busy now, much more than he used to be back at home. He just can't look after her as much as he used to. So, Sharon finds new friends and spends a lot of time with them, she hates being alone in their little rented home. When he finds out, he doesn’t approve at all, but it’s too late. They’re already close and she’s already developed feelings for a certain disaster.
2. Okay this might seem like I’m making it more about Nathan, her father, but no, we’ll get strictly to Sharon in a minute. Anyway, he wasn’t always a, well, stuck up boring serious adult grumpy about the youth today. Back in the day, he was quite a specimen of the rebellious youth too, but he says he learned and matured and grew out of it. Still, something from those days stayed with him, his love for rock music. He’s got a huge collection of old CDs, tapes and vinyls, and he shares this passion with his daughter. It's one of the few remaining things they can bond over. He doesn't get her at all anymore.
3. You might remember that after the Werewolves GP dropped, I was debating making her a werewolf again. Way back when I first created her, she was one, then I scratched it halfway through gen 4, then I started thinking about it again in 2022. Well, I can now tell you that she will be turned into a werewolf, early 30s or something like that. Not gonna go into detail but before that she gets a new coach, he turns out to be a piece of crap, she decides to fire him, he gets angry, turns out he’s a werewolf, and he attacks her and…yeah. That’s about it. 😬
4. Besides dyeing her hair blue (which is totally trademark kinda thingy), she also enjoyed bleaching her hair an even lighter shade of blonde once, but it was really stressful, she thought she was going to lose her hair. She dyes her hair at home always, even if she could afford to go to the salon. It comes with risks sure, but she just prefers it. Salons and hairdressers are too much to handle sometimes 😂
5. One of my favourite things about Sharon and Tyler’s relationship is the way she brings out the serious side of him while he can bring out the funny side of her. It’s one of the clearest signs how well they complete each other.

random office OC facts!
maudeley has enough manners and good will to help autumn (@beebeesiims) with workloads when she can. heaven however doesn't care much and tags along with the two of them and being a lazy jackass
sirus is a scorpio. (oct 30)
when maudeley and heaven are bored they go to noel's (@wldestluv-rs) post to bother her. sirus has to physically pull them away. heaven is usually seen sitting upside down on an armchair, or on noel's lap before getting yelled at by her superiors.
heaven is a gemini. (june 4)
heaven takes emily's (@fizzytoo) candies, and never helps to fill it back up. she gets yelled at and banned to touch them for it.
sirus may or may not have used the "death in the family" excuse to call out of work. no he doesn't feel guilty they drive him fuckin' crazy over at Simblr Office
one of the times heaven got dress-coded by HR was when she showed up to work with the iconic '#SlutWalk' campaign tee in protest to the last dress-code she had gotten. long talks were had.
maudeley got written up for telling a client and i quote, "if i was your mother i would have sold you for a bottle of tequila and 3 valiums."

I've said it before but I'd like to say it again. I've noticed that the sims/simblr community has become a prominently black/POC space over these past few years, and I honestly couldn't be happier. Most of my life, I've felt ostracized by my own community because of my non-stereotypical interests, which was compounded with neurodivergence I have finally come to accept and am learning to deal with. It feels really nice to have a community, even if it is online, of people that you can identify with and talk to on more levels than "I like this game."
I also feel like these past couple years, this game and this community has helped me fall in love with myself. When I started my simblr 10 years ago, there was such little representation of people that looked like me; plus sized and dark skinned. I did not resonate with any of my sims and often found myself giving the same European features over and over again to sims no matter what the skin tone because when I used something darker, it just didn't feel right. I am so grateful for the overflow of natural hairs, cocoa complexions, and different types of skins to represent different shapes and types of uniqueness. I am so grateful I am able to share my sims with you, but also represent people I see in my own family and my own community, in my own life. I used to feel my blackness was ugly and undesirable because it was never shown in media, so now in my 30s, it's an amazing feeling to not only see people like myself in media, but also to be highly praised and put at center stage.
I can't do anything about how it was when I was a child, but I'm so happy that I'm finally able to create the representation I needed as a child and heal her from the inside out.

Simblr Intro
Hello!!! My name is Catherine (she/they) and I am so excited to join this Sim community! I am a 30 year old (turning 31 in August) settler, living in the unceded territory of the Lhtako Dené Nation. I have been through things like school, college, and even owning a small business.
Something that has been a constant in my life over the last 30 years has been Sims! Every time I start playing again, it engulfs me completely and my creative soul thrives with all the amazing possibilities of gameplay.
Recently, I started recording my gameplay and the idea morphed into a mini television series based entirely around my most recent sim, Claudia Lestat. I had no intention of sharing my creations, but I tumbled upon Tumblr and learnt about the amazing Sim community that exists here. Ever since, I have been so inspired by the incredible creators that I decided to take a shot at Simblr myself.
My hope is to share my creative vision, adding to the ingenious content that already exists here, as well as connecting with others! Feel free to like or reblog as I look foward to meeting new people.

29% - Apparently Hope is triggered by very attractive men questioning her relationship status, however, I think Jayce's [redacted] fixed that. As to why, It was a trigger for her because she doubts herself. As an overachiever, and now perfectionist, she constantly second guesses herself, she wonders if what she's doing is right, if her best is even good enough and should she be doing something different. She needs a partner who can reassure her and she found that in Jay.
As for Jayce, I think he's triggered when he sees his mom. While he's happy to see her and loves her dearly, when he looks in her eyes he sees pain which triggers thoughts of his dad, losing his dad, the Problematic Boyfriend™ and what she's probably dealing with in that lonely, cold penthouse. He wishes he could better protect her and thats why seeing her is a trigger.
30% - For Jay, losing his mom. First and foremost. Her situation is the ache in his chest that he hides from the world and won't go away.
For Hope, anything happening to her parents. After the run away that was seen all over the Simblr evening news, she grew closer than she'd ever been to her parents, her dad especially. Her and Darren have a super special bond. He is superman to her. Losing her superman would cause irreparable damage.

I follow a number of simblrs here and I know one or two are mutuals that don't mind my reblogs clogging up their timelines. So, I have a question. I am starting my uberhood again and I'm on the fence about "scripted events" and locked wants. On the one hand, it does continue the stories set up in these subhoods. On the other, some are going to be a pain in the ass. Also note that my uberhood is not like others: I have a 30-subhood neighborhood, so rotations are gonna take a MINUTE. And I have a tendency to restart a lot, and I know that this is one of the decisions that may cause me to start over again if I'm not happy with it. And my OCD makes me crazy indecisive. So.
If I go with scripted events, I'll start playing from Don Lothario. If I say fuck it, I'll start with the sim bin college kids.
