Sibling of Sin: "Sometimes, ya know, you'll run into one of the ghouls, and it's, it's fine, yeah? I mean, it's cool and all, but, like, once you see one of them eating a sock you kind of realize that's... that's just a cat in human form." -pointing at Mountain yowling and clawing at the door to be let outside- "See? That's cat behavior." Copia, in tears: "You have hands! You can open the door yourself!" -watching Mountain bat at the door- "USE YOUR HANDS-" Sibling of Sin: "...Satan's bravest warriors."

A kiss

"...Give it back..." You told the ghoul as you tried to pull his arm down, failing miserably from his supernatural strength.
"hmmm... How about..?...no." Swiss snickered as he held your favorite object in his hand, having the advantage of being taller than you. Even if you jumped and tried to punch him and/or scratch him, he didn't let go of it, seemingly enjoying how desperate you are to get it back.
Swiss' pet peeve is to annoy you, especially about your height. He surprisingly always find something new that's got to do with your height, like using you as an armrest, putting things out of reach so you have to ask for him as he's the only one that close...
Finally, about five minutes in as he's not that patient, he sighed and pouted, looking down at you and wiggling the object in his hand thoughtfully.
"Okay, okay! Lemme think..." Your eyes lit up as you finally got hope that he'd give it back-
"How about a kiss in exchange?~" the smirking ghoul almost purred, giving you his signature grin.
As he didn't say where, you didn't hesitate in your answer.
Even though you were a bit mad, you got up on your tiptoes and gave him a small kiss on the cheek, puffing your cheeks right after. "Can I have it back now?—" "On the lips" he interrupted.
His playful tone didn't surprise you, nor did what he said. He was known for being flirty, even with his friends. It took you a while, but you finally agreed and got closer to him, raising your brows.
"Fine..." ..you couldn't disagree on the fact he was pretty attractive, you couldn't say you didn't ever think about kissing him either. You only wanted to give him a peck right now as you wanted to get back to work, not wanting Seestor to reprimand you and wanting to be done with it. Plus, you didn't want him to know how you truly felt about him, that would be a story for another time.
As your lips touched his, you were immediately pulled closer when a large hand came to the back of your neck. You gasped and felt his smirk widen as you let him deepen the kiss for a second or two, only for him to pull back right after, both of you with slightly kiss-bruised lips. Not giving you time to think, he licked his lips, showing his pearly whites as he chuckled.
With a blushing face, you looked at him with wide, shocked and confused eyes.
"what was that???" You hissed in a low voice, looking both ways of the vacant hall. You weren't truly angry, it wasn't the right word, more like surprised and taken aback. Plus, you were impatient to go to work, not wanting both of you to get told off.
"Here you go~" He didn't answer as he gave you your possession back, already walking away with a big smile, giving you one last wink. You could only watch him go as you felt the heat on your body, mouth slightly agape. He had a slight bounce in his walk, which made you realize that he probably planned it, or at least wanted this to happen.
Well, at least you had your thing back, right?
...maybe you should let him take more of them

Sodo or Dewdrop?
‘So, is your name Sodo or Dewdrop?’ One of the youngest siblings of sin asked. The ghoul let out a chuckle at their question. One that probably would’ve made every adult in the near vicinity shush them in another life. This sibling was known for asking banal questions. Not that the ghouls minded, wanting to inspire curiosity in the young one.
‘Prefer Dewdrop, but either works. I respond to both, little one.’ His voice softer. The same voice he’d use when talking to a regressed little. Not having much experience interacting with children this closely. ‘Oh…okay!’ Hearing one the sisters call their name, they ran towards the sound. Yelling out a quick ‘bye Dewdrop!’
‘Bye-bye, little one.’ Dew whispers back to the wind, standing up from his crouched position.

What’s Mountain Munching On?
Copia: *talking to a new sibling* Every now and then, when I’m around the ghouls, I like to play this little game called “What’s Mountain Munching On?” Where I try to guess what the tall one over there has decided is food today. *points at the far corner where Mountain is standing and obviously chewing*
Copia, continued: it even comes with a little song! *ahem* 🎶 ohhhh whaaaat’s that? 🎶
Cumulus:*appearing beside Copia* 🎶 I say whaaaaaat’s that? 🎶
Swiss and Sunshine: *leaning around the corner* 🎶 Dear Lu-ci-fer what iiiiiiisss it?? 🎶
Rain and Cirrus:*turning to lean over the back of the couch*🎶What is it? What is it? Who knows? Not me! 🎶
Aether: *slinging an arm around Mountains shoulder* 🎶 Oh my curiosity does thrive!🎶
Dewdrop: *crawling out from under the couch* 🎶 Hopefully it’s not alive! 🎶
All Ghouls and Copia: *in a disturbingly perfect harmony*🎶WHATS MOUNTAIN MUNCHING ON??🎶
Mountain:…..*sticks out his tongue to reveal what is very clearly part of a tennis ball*
Ghouls + Copia: *intense cheering*
New sibling: …*intense confusion*

alpha tends to be very angry and explosive, the smallest thing can set him off. no one really likes being around him because of it. there's a few people that will still try to be around him, mostly secondo, mist and a couple of siblings of sin. he's not even really that bad of guy, he just has a fuck ton of built up emotions that he doesn't know how to deal with. he breaks down the moment someone's soft with him honestly.

Some general sibling of sin and ghoul headcanons, because why not? Let's go.
-Most siblings wear some kind of uniform while residing within the abbey, but casual clothes are permitted and no one is forced to wear their habits or cassocks outside of special occasions/important events.
Even still, most of the siblings have customized their uniforms in some way, though some still prefer to keep things simple and leave them as is.
Ghouls, like the siblings, also follow similar rules with their uniforms, although they are only allowed to customize their non-stage wear uniforms, and cannot make any alterations to their masks beyond getting them properly sized and repaired.
For the most part, the ghouls tend to dress how they please, but some are stricter with wearing their uniforms while around the siblings and other residents of the abbey.
Dew, for example, often wears his uniform when in the presence of the siblings, as it's viewed as more professional and suits his status within the church's hierarchy more to do so, whereas Phantom/Aeon wears his uniform because he's new and wants to show his commitment.
-The siblings and the ghouls interact pretty much daily, as the abbey's population shakes out to about 65% humans, 35% non-human entities/ghouls, so it's not really seen as a big deal, at least not to the people who have been there for a while now.
This statistic does not include ghosts... or whatever is living in the lake... or the woods... or that creepy well no one goes near... Those don't count, because they don't live INSIDE the abbey.
Well, the ghosts do, but they don't exactly live-live in the abbey, ya know?
-Out of the main ghouls, Mountain is the one people see the most milling about the grounds and the easiest to approach, so he is considered a friend to many.
Likewise, Cumulus is always happy to interact with the siblings and has quite a few human friends that she hangs around with when she isn't in the ghouls' den.
It's a sort of sliding scale that goes like this; Mountain, Cumulus, Swiss, Phantom/Aeon, Aether, Aurora, Sunny, Cirrus, Rain, and Dew.
Dew is only the hardest to find because he's often scurrying around the abbey trying to get various tasks taken care of and refuses to take a minute to chill and shoot the breeze with people.
He's not going to say hi unless it's followed up by, "Move, please, you're in my way-"
Still says please though.
And lastly;
-The siblings have a separate dormitory from the ghouls largely because the ghouls dorm is located in the abbey's basement/ground floor, and gets very little natural light as a result, which, as it would turn out, isn't very good for most humans' mental health.
Most of the ghouls and siblings that reside on the abbey's grounds permanently/indefinitely have their own dorms that are outfitted similarly to small apartments, including their own bathrooms and a kitchenette, although some rooms lack one or both of these accommodations depending on whether they're in the newer parts of the abbey or the older ones.
The ghouls' den in smaller than the human dorms due to being partially underground, so many of the rooms aren't as spacious and thus lack certain features -they don't have cooking spaces in their rooms, and only two of the rooms have their own bathrooms-, but they also have their own kitchen attached to their common room.
Ghouls tend to work more as a pack, so their spaces are more open/less private than the human dorms as well.
It's like being in a friend's house and seeing their family hanging around.
Unless you're in their room, expect to see at least one other ghoul hanging around, if not ten more.

Sister of Sin: I need Feminism because when Jesus did a magic trick, it’s a goddamn miracle, but when a woman dared to do one, she was burned at the stake.
Primo: I mean, to be fair, they did kill Jesus too; that was a pretty significant thing that happened. I understand where you’re coming from, and I do agree, but they very much did kill Jesus.

Your smile
Swiss ghoul X Reader
Warnings: fluff, maybe ooc Swiss
Gender neutral reader
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
It started on your first days when as you were passing that certain ghoul in the hallway of the ministry that the hellish creature gave you one of his signature smile as a greeting, a nod from him before you parted ways.
He's one of the few that when he smiles, it's contagious— at least from your side. You always thought about how handsome he is when he smiles, too, but you never told him so, not having enough time close to him as you're only a sibling of sin. Anytime he passed by, though, you didn't hesitate to give him a smile back, his eyes seemingly lightening up whenever you did so.
Today, you were ready to tell him how handsome he is when he smile, and how much it makes your day.
"...Hi!" He looked a bit shocked as he titles his head, stopping and looking at you through his big helmet, the big 'glasses' before his eyes obscuring them. His smile didn't falter, though.
"I just... you've got a very pretty smile..." that's the only thing that came out as you played with a loose tread on your habit and shifted on your feet, feeling heat go to your face. You regretted telling him so as you didn't know how he'd react. Immediately after, you started walking, unknown to you that Swiss is actually blushing slightly under his helmet, his mouth agape as it's the first time anyone ever said that to him. It takes him a second before he jogs to catch up to you, gently trapping your upper arm in his large hand.
Taken aback by the sudden touch, you flinch and looked back at him with wide, curious eyes. The ghoul let go of your arm and you could see that the bottom of his face seems a bit more purple-ish than his usual grey. You give him a soft smile when you turn to him, a frown on your face.
"..thank you." He tells you, another smile spawning onto his face. "You've got a very pretty, too, sibling." His clawed hand over over your forearm as he speaks, his eyes not leaving yours. From the intensity of his gaze, you look away and accept the compliment, heat rising to your face once again.
His presence is... quite something.
Your eyes were drawn to his tail swinging happily behind him. He didn't seem to realize that he was flicking it, or he simply didn't care as he continued to look at you, his mouth opening and closing, as if to find the right words to say. You could see his eyes looking to the side through the goggles of his helmet, pensive. They flicked back to you and he straitened up as you patiently waited for him to say something. Swiss dusted off his jacket, clearing his throat.
"...What's your name?"

The next morning, you awaken to the sound of a distant bell tolling. It reverberates through the corridors, signaling the beginning of a new day within the church. You prepare yourself for the day ahead, donning the crisp uniform that had been provided for you, you can't help but wonder what awaits you in Papa's office.
The responsibility of overseeing his personal library weighs heavily on your mind. With each step down the winding corridors, you catch glimpses of other siblings going about their daily tasks. The atmosphere is one of quiet dedication and unwavering loyalty to the church's cause.
Finally, you reach the wooden door leading to Papa Copia's office. Taking a deep breath to steady yourself, you knock softly before entering.
The room is bathed in a warm glow from the sunlight streaming through the ornate stained-glass window. Papa sits behind a large mahogany desk, his eyes focused on a worn leather-bound book. He looks up as you enter, a smile lighting up his face.
"Ah! Come in, come in." He greets you warmly. "I've just started for the day."
You offer a respectful nod and take in the sight of the room. Tall bookshelves line the walls, filled to the brim with volumes of all shapes and sizes. Dust particles float lazily in the air, giving the space an almost ethereal feel.
He gestures for you to join him at the desk. "Please, have a seat."
As you settle into the chair across from him, he places his book aside and intertwines his fingers together, leaning forward slightly.
"Devyn, I must emphasize the importance of your role here," he begins. "Everything in my library is kept to the utmost care."
You listen intently, captivated by Papa's words. The way he speaks exudes a sense of reverence and passion for the knowledge contained within these walls.
"I have spent a lifetime amassing this collection," he continues, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of pride and nostalgia. "Each book, each manuscript holds a piece of history, a fragment of wisdom that must be preserved for future generations."
You nod, understanding the gravity of the task before you. The responsibility of safeguarding these precious texts becomes clearer with each passing word.
"Devyn, I have chosen you for this role because I see in you a deep respect for knowledge and a thirst for understanding. It is my hope that through your dedication, these archives will continue to flourish and enlighten."
"Thank you, Papa." You smile. "I promise I will work to your expectations."
"Excellent! Excellent!" He praises. "Then I shall give you your first task then, eh?"
Sliding a paper to your side of the table, he explains that it is a list of hymn books he would like you to retrieve. You nod once more before standing and leaving the small office.
As you exit the room and begin your journey through the winding corridors, you can't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence for the ages of knowledge that you are now entrusted with.
Each step you take feels like a small piece in the grand puzzle of preserving history, shaping the future, and discovering the secrets hidden within the walls of this sacred sanctuary. The corridors are filled with the whispers and echoes of your fellow Siblings as you navigate the labyrinthine structure of the church.
You enter the library, a vast expanse of books filled with every piece of knowledge that has ever been documented in the world. Here, the air is thick with wisdom and understanding, and you feel a profound connection to every page, every volume. You follow the instructions on the list and begin your task of locating the hymn books.
Wandering through the endless aisles of the library, your fingers brushing against the spines of countless books, you can't help but feel the weight of your new responsibilities. The knowledge contained within these ancient texts is nothing short of extraordinary, and you know that it's up to you to ensure that they are preserved for future generations.
The hymn books you're seeking seem to elude you at first, as you search high and low among the towering shelves. But as the hours pass, you finally stumble upon them, hidden in a seemingly unremarkable corner of the library. You carefully retrieve the books and begin to walk towards the door when a growling voice stops you.
"Where do you think you're going with those?"
You jump from the sudden voice filling the room. Turning, you see a shorter man wearing the same mask as your new acquaintances leaning against one of the bookshelves. Slowly you respond, "I was just fetching these for-"
"This is Papa Emeritus's private library. You should not be in here!" He interrupts, the heat of his words rising.
"I know, I was just-"
"Quit with the excuses! You are-"
"Stop interrupting me!" You scream. "He tasked me with bringing him these damned books and I'm not gonna let some weasel who didn't even ask what I was doing yell at me for doing my job!"
The words that spill out of your mouth surprise you. They certainly surprised him as well. He stands there speechless as you push past him to deliver the books.
"No fucking way he just called you a weasel!" Swiss laughs as he walks around from the other side of the bookcase."Oh Sodo, my sweet little weasel."
"Shut the fuck up!" Sodo seethes as he stomps out the room. Who the fuck did this new sibling think they were anyways?
Tumblr media
You watch in confusion as Sodo storms out of the room and down the opposite side of the hall. The tension between you and your new fellow Sibling is palpable, and you can't help but feel a mix of frustration and worry. Swiss wasn't far behind him as he exits the library.
Turning to head back to the office, you bump face first into Mountain's broad chest. "Sorry" You mumble as you take a step back.
"It's okay, were you just in the private library?" He asks.
"Oh uhm, yeah." You say looking up at him. "Got a mouthful from one of the other siblings."
"Ghoul." He says softly.
"Huh?"
"We, with the masks, are ghouls." He explains. "Like from hell."
"Like hell-hell?"
He ignores the question,"Well, that must have been quite a first encounter for you." He said, smirking.
"I can't believe I just called him a weasel," you chuckle nervously. "I just wanted to do my job."
"We all have our moments," he reassures. "Sodo's just a bit protective of Papa's space. It's alright. Don't worry about it."
Mountain guides you through the labyrinth of corridors, explaining the daily routines of the other siblings and the various tasks they were responsible for.
As he speaks, you feel a sense of friendship forming. His calm and gentle demeanor puts you at ease, and you find yourself opening up to him about your initial apprehension and the weight of your new responsibilities.
"I understand," Mountain says, his voice filled with empathy. "It can be overwhelming at first, but trust me, with time, you will settle into your role."
You nod, feeling a newfound sense of determination. The guidance and support from Mountain reassure you that you are not alone in this vast and intricate world.
Each step along the corridors feels lighter now, as if the knowledge contained within these walls energizes your every movement.
Lost in the enchantment of Mountain's words, you almost forget about the incident with Sodo. But just as you begin to relax, a voice interrupts your thoughts.
"Ah, there you are!"
You turn around to find Papa Copia standing behind you, a warm smile on his face. There's something different about him now. He's clad in his papal robes that flow as he walks towards you both.
"Oh! Yes, sorry papa! I have the books you asked for."
He hums, nodding to Mountain as a greeting.
"He had a run in with Sodo, Papa." Mountain offers.
"Oh met our little fire ghoul, yes? All good?" He asks.
"Well, he's certainly one for first impressions." You grumble.
Papa Copia chuckles, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Sodo does have a tendency to be a bit prickly, but he means well. We are a diverse family here, and it takes time for everyone to find their place in the grand scheme of things." He stops to think before continuing. "But fear not, your dedication to this sacred task will earn you the respect of your fellow Siblings and Ghouls in due time."
You feel a sense of relief wash over you at Papa's words. It's comforting to know that despite the initial hiccups, you have the support and understanding of your new family.
"Now, let us return to my office," Papa suggests, motioning for you both to follow him. "I am curious about your thoughts and impressions of the archives so far. I want to hear about the secrets you have uncovered within these walls."
Grateful for the chance to share your experiences, you walk alongside Papa and Mountain as you make your way back to the office.
Tumblr media
Sodo grumbles and paces around the ghoul den as Swiss watches from the sofa.
"Who does that sibling think he is anyways!" He explodes, fire blazing from his hands.
"Dude, chill. He was just doing his job." Swiss hangs off the back of the couch to get a better view of Sodo. "You know the siblings are expected to do all kinds of duties."
"That didn't give him the right to call me a fucking weasel!"
"You also didn't have the right to start interrogating him."
The smaller ghoul scoffs in response. He was right, Sodo just didn't want to admit it. Swiss takes a deep breath and approaches Sodo, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Look, I get it. We all take our roles seriously here, and it's natural to be protective of Papa's private space." The taller ghoul pats the other's shoulder, "But the siblings know their place, and it's expected to find some in places they're not usually at."
Sodo grumbles, his fiery aura gradually subsiding. "You're right... I may have overreacted a bit."
Swiss smiles reassuringly. "It happens to the best of us. Let's go find him and apologize. We don't want any tension with the new sibling, especially if we want him to stay."
With a nod of agreement, Sodo follows Swiss as they make their way towards Papa Copia's office. As they approach, they see you, Mountain, and Papa engaged in an animated conversation. Sensing their presence, Papa turns to them with a knowing smile.
"Join us," Copia beckons, gesturing towards the empty chairs in front of his desk. "We were just discussing our new sibling's journey through the archives."
Sodo and Swiss exchange glances, feeling a mix of relief and apprehension. They cautiously take a seat, unsure of what to expect.
"I must say," Papa continues, his face filled with amusement, "our newest addition has quite the spirit. Calling Sodo here a weasel on their first encounter!"
You shift uncomfortably in your chair as all eyes turn to you. "I... I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way," you stammer, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over you. "It just slipped out."
"I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and acted so aggressively. It was uncalled for." Sodo's voice is filled with sincerity. Mountain, Swiss, and Papa snap their heads towards the fire ghoul. The apology was a surprise to all three of them.
Copia chuckles softly, putting you both at ease. "No need to worry, my dear sibling. We all have our moments of slipping up." He pauses for a moment before continuing. " Eh, But now that we are all gathered here, I think it time to let you all in on a little secret."
The room falls silent as everyone leans in, their curiosity piqued. Papa's eyes gleam mischievously as he takes a moment to savor the suspense.
"You see," he begins, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "As our popularity rises, we are in need of extra help backstage, and on tours."
"What happened to doing backstage stuff ourselves?" Swiss asks. "We don't need more siblings in our space, papa, with all due respect."
"No, no. There will only be one sibling traveling with us. Making sure that the equipment is in the right place, and that you all are getting extra care."
Swiss leans forward, his curiosity getting the better of him. "So, what's the secret then? Who is this new sibling?"
Copia's head turns towards you, followed by the other three ghouls. You sat for a moment looking around before realizing he was talking about you. "You can't possibly mean me."
"But Papa," Sodo interjects, his tone laced with skepticism, "how can we trust a new sibling to handle such crucial responsibilities?"
He raises an eyebrow, his smile widening. "Ah, Sodo, I understand your concern. However, I have already tested their ability to do such tasks."
"What? How?" You ask in disbelief.
"It was not a coincidence that you ran into Sodo in the archive."
Papa Copia leans back in his chair,"I orchestrated that encounter to test your mettle," he confesses, his voice filled with pride. "I wanted to observe how you handle conflict and whether you possess the resilience and adaptability required for the position."
"And how did I fare?" you ask, a hint of nervousness lingering in your voice.
"You are not as timid as I thought you were, and I must say, you have exceeded my expectations." He continues. "The hymn books I also tasked you to find were hidden in very meticulous spots. You could not have found them so easily.
You all sit listening to his explanation. Not a mouth open to protest his decision.
"But you did. Without hesitation or complaint," Papa Copia commends, his eyes shining with approval. "You have proven yourself worthy of this role."
Swiss claps you on the back, a grin spreading across his face. "Congratulations! Looks like we've got ourselves a new traveling buddy!"
Mountain nods in agreement, his voice filled with warmth. "We are a family here, and families support one another. Welcome to the team."
Sodo sat quietly as the other two ghouls congratulated you. You look towards him, but are only given a huff and the back of his mask as he turns away. Overwhelmed with gratitude and relief, you feel a surge of confidence coursing through your veins. Copia leans forward, his tone becoming more serious.
"Now, there is one important task I must entrust to you." He retrieves a small key from his pocket and hands it over as you take it gently out of his hand.
With the key in your hand, you gaze at Papa Copia, a mix of curiosity and anticipation filling your chest. "What is this for?" you ask, unable to contain your curiosity any longer.
"This key," Papa Copia explains, his eyes gleaming with a mix of mystery and excitement, "unlocks the rehearsal rooms and other doors in the Ghoul Den."
Your heart pounds with anticipation as you take in the weight of this responsibility. "Why would I need to access that?"
"Seriously? You ask that instead of 'What's a Ghoul Den?', Fuckin humans." Sodo replies snarkily.
"Okay smartass, then what's a ghoul den if you want me to ask so bad." You snap back as heat begins to steam off of Sodo.
"For your information, it is where us bastards go to hide at night, because we're not privileged to be alive and be fully ourselves around the likes of you!" He stands and storms out of the room yet again.
You all sit there, stunned by Sodo's outburst, unsure of what you said to trigger such a vehement response. Papa Copia sighs and rubs his temples, clearly exasperated by the situation.
"I apologize for Sodo's behavior," Papa says, running a hand through his hair. "He can be quite volatile at times. Please understand that his anger stems from a place of deep frustration and pain."
"I'll talk to him later," Mountain offers, standing up from his seat. "I think he just needs some time alone."
Copia nods gratefully at Mountain before turning his attention back to you. "Please don't let Sodo's reaction discourage you. You are an important part of our team now, and I believe in your abilities."
You take a deep breath, letting Copia's words sink in. Despite the tension in the room, you feel determined to prove yourself to Sodo and earn his trust. But for now, there is another matter at hand - meeting the other ghouls and familiarizing yourself with the den.
"I won't let you down," you say firmly, meeting Papa's gaze. "I'll make sure to handle this responsibility with care."
He smiles warmly at you, his eyes filled with belief. "I know you will. Take your time to explore the den, just do not go into their personal spaces without permission."
"Yes, Papa." say as you and the remaining two ghouls stand.
"And you two. Show him the way, introduce him to the others. Remind them to be kind, and no orgies right off the bat."
"Huh?"
Swiss grabs your shoulders as he pushes you out of the office. "No promises!"
You hear papa chuckle and you all leave and head towards the ghoul den.
