(( something that i’ve gotten into the habit of doing with cole is describing sensations with other sensations. like smells being loud or colors having a texture. it’s partially a way to describe things while being both literal and metaphorical at the same time, but not completely. a smell being “loud” implies that it is overpowering and distracting. “sorry i didnt hear what you said. the candles are too loud.” and a color being sharp or rough or smooth gives information as to how it makes you feel and, if you’re particularly sensitive to light like cole is, whether it hurts or is soothing to look at. my cole might also have some form of synaesthesia. i haven’t decided yet on that front.
