It saddens me that Helen of SPARTA is mostly known as Helen of TROY. As if she wasn't born, raised, and most likely, died in Sparta. Yes, she was of TROY for a while...But she was able to go back home to where she WANTED TO BE.

had some SAGAU thoughts this merry night
there's an old rumor that floats around the circles of the divine, that the Creator god will eventually and inevitably fall to the whims of the Abyss, consumed by the darkness forevermore. it terrifies the Archons and other divine beings to know that the one they worship and adore so much would have to endure such agony, so as all the devoted do, they try to prevent it. every law and order that is passed prepares only for the Creator's arrival, in hopes that the combined power of Teyvat will be able to keep their god safe and sound, sparing no expense to eradicate the Abyss' presence from the above world.
in their madness, they lay their eyes upon the one they worship and declare them- you- a heretic.
it was like a dream come true when you first woke up in Teyvat, the setting of your favorite game, but the dream quickly twisted into a nightmare as you found yourself hunted by every nation, seemingly every person yelling for your head on a platter. an imposter, they called you- a decoy sent by the Abyss- and for that, you deserved execution and death.
and execute you they did, when they inevitably caught you after weeks of running, your blood running a deep red on the pavement, speckled with nearly invisible stars.
when you wake up again, you first only feel pain, pain everywhere, from your head to the tips of your fingers. you want to cry out, but your throat is bone-dry, only faint, raspy coughs coming out. then suddenly you're surrounded by warmth, a pair of arms grasping your broken body gently with a soothing purr. Childe- Foul Legacy- cradles you lovingly, helping you sit up slightly to sip water before settling you back down with a soft croon, the entire Abyss silent and peaceful in your presence. Legacy traces the scar that runs the entire circumference of your neck with one delicate claw, letting out a quiet hiss at the thought of those foolish gods and mortals who hurt you before holding you closer and giving your head a comforting pat.
you smile, weak and faint, at the action, and Legacy rumbles in delight as the Abyss wraps around you; a dark, starry blanket of warmth and peace.

“I didn’t cheat on you,” is the first thing he says when Eddie picks up the phone.
Eddie pauses. “O…kay? That’s a weird thing to say to someone you didn’t cheat on.”
“I promise we did not sleep together.”
“Steve, you’re starting to worry me a little here. What did you do?”
He rubs the bridge of his nose. “I…may have drunk married a lesbian in Vegas.”
There’s a long silence. Steve’s palms start to sweat, sure he’s about to be broken up with. Then—
“Are you laughing?”
The lesbian’s name is Robin.
“Can I meet her?” Eddie asks. “I want to meet her. Give her the phone. She’s the Jolene to my Dolly, I have to talk to her.”
“She didn’t take your man,” Steve protested. “There is no man-stealing going on here. She’s just…a woman I married.”
“Wow,” Robin says, watching him with raised eyebrows. “Glad to know my role in your life has been reduced to wife. And so soon after we met?”
“Shut up, Jolene,” he hisses.
“Stephen! Don’t talk to your wife like that!” Eddie scolds. “C’mon, put her on.”
He sighs and gives Robin the phone.

hi there! you post a lot about animorphs and i personally did not have the opportunity to get into it all as a kid. do you perhaps have a recommended reading order? a favourite book? a beloved, accessible fanwork? i would like to be able to see what it's all about, and you seem to be the most accessible-to-me online authority on the subject :)
i'd suggest you just read the first 21 books straight through, then check your brain to see how fucked up you are. after that, freestyle based on Vibes.
but also you should read the ellimist chronicles and the hork-bajir chronicles right away because they're really fun* semi-standalone stories about aliens doing alien things and getting in alien trouble.
*they will hurt you :)

you as a minor god, one that few people remember and even fewer people worship. perhaps you're the god of grasses that wave in the breeze, or of the mist that hugs the earth in the morning, or you rule over the blinking lights of fireflies. whatever your dominion, it's considered small and unimportant to the wider world of Teyvat- you only have one place of worship, a small shrine tucked away in a grove of trees. but that doesn't bother you, it simply means less strife for you to deal with, your little domain at the foot of the mountains carrying an aura of peace and gentle prosperity.
perhaps that's why an injured Abyss creature finds his way to your doorstep, clawing his way out from a schism in the ground before collapsing outside of your domain, blood staining the grass. you let out a startled yell when you find him, kneeling to examine the poor monster's wounds- the barrier to your home must have perceived him as a danger and kept him from entering. well, you'll be having none of that! everyone is welcome in your domain, so with a wave of your hand you dissolve the seal between it and the outside world and carefully bring the Abyssal beast in, laying him down in a patch of sun as you begin tending to his injuries.
Foul Legacy awakens looking up into your brilliant eyes, alight with a faint divine glow, and without even thinking he begins to softly purr.
he becomes a constant companion in your life, following you around your domain even when he's forced to limp on an injured leg. Legacy ventures outside with you the moment his wounds are relatively healed, curiously poking around Teyvat in awe and admiring all the lush plant life and light. he tries to look directly at the sun at one point- bad idea- and lets out a pained screech, whining as you comfort him and help clear the spots dancing in his sight. you even show him your shrine, covering your mouth to conceal your laughter when he immediately bounds over and curls up in the patch of sunlight in front of the small structure. mortals begin calling you the god with a monster, as Foul Legacy is always by your side. he likes that, being yours, just as you are his.
yet he still couldn't protect you when the Archon War arrived, your remains turning to dust before he reaches you. people swore they heard anguished screams that night, from a grove of trees surrounding a small shrine of a forgotten, lost god

Emily Axford’s PCs Ranked by How Likely They Are To Have Worn Crocs:
There was discussion on a recent short rest about which of Emily’s PCs are most likely to wear crocs, so I humbly present my findings:
1. Brenda Elizabeth: 100% canonical that she wears crocs. She is even wearing crocs in her canon artwork. God bless you Zac Oyama.
2. Tarragon Snakeroot: Also 100% canonical that she wears crocs, but the DM is being a little punk about it. Regardless of whether or not Murph thinks crocs exist in Eldermourne, if Emily says she’s wearing crocs, she’s wearing crocs.
3. Sophia Lee: A human living on present day earth. I’m certain she’s worn crocs around her place on Staten Island.
4. Chirp Featherfowl: Lives in the Feywild, but has a wife and child on present day earth. Has definitely tried on her wife’s crocs. Loves the novelty of them.
5. Ylfa Snorgelsson: Same voice as Brenda Elizabeth, so she’s already croc-coded. Plus, due to multiversal shenanigans, it’s almost guaranteed that there exists a version of her who’s worn crocs.
6. Onyx Lumiere: I don’t remember if crocs have been confirmed as canon in Trinyvale, but they definitely are. If Onyx didn’t already own a pair of pastel crocs, she’s surely looted a pair from someone she’s killed.
7. Fia Boginya: Crocs are not necessarily her style, but she lives in Eldermourne, so she’s had ample opportunity to wear them.
8. Brimstone Billy: Also, lives in Eldermourne, but I’m not sure if crocs have made their way to Endoterra yet.
9. Sundry Sidney: Technically exists in our future, but crocs are probably ancient relics in her time. Even if she could get her hands on a pair, she wouldn’t be able to get them on over her permanent roller skates.
10. Fig Faeth: I’m gonna say that crocs probably exist in Solace, but Fig was too preppy to wear them as a kid and is too punk to wear them now.
11. Moonshine Cybin: I’ll throw Murph a bone and say that crocs don’t exist in Bahumia, but if they did, I bet Moonshine would wear them. If a crick elf was gonna wear shoes, they’d probably wear crocs.
12. Calliope Petrichor: Again, no crocs in Bahumia, but even extra no crocs in the Feywild. Furthermore, they aren’t really the shoes of choice for either crime families or knights. No crocs for Calli.
13. Saccharina Frostwhip: Calorum is the setting least likely to contain crocs. It’s such a classic medieval fantasy world. That said, growing up poorer than the other PCs makes Saccharina the most likely A Crown of Candy character to have worn crocs.
14. Jet Rocks: By far the least likely Axford character to have worn crocs. Spent her short life growing up royal in a lavish castle with dreams of becoming a military commander in a world where crocs absolutely do not exist in the first place. Case closed.
