I came here from Reddit, and honestly I'm already far more comfortable. Reddit is a true hellhole, and not the fun kind. It's moderation system is seemingly designed to encourage insular echo chamber communities, the culture is horrible, and the community system in which posts are constantly rotated in and out, only lasting days at most on any non-dead sub before being forgotten forever unless somebody actually visits your profile, which is considered rude and intrusive in a good amount of cases despite being openly public. Despite all this, the reason I came here is because it's clearly much more hospitable to shitposts. I have sooo many memes that just couldn't survive on Reddit. They have to be tailored to communities, which usually translates to following the whims of a power-tripping basement dweller. Here, a meme can be a meme.
I talk like I'm not still on Reddit. I am. I just feel like I'm... outgrowing it? Like my presence there has grown stale? I've had some laughs, minorly influenced some things, made some friends, but now that I'm banned from most communities it's fun to troll and have seen so many good communities fall to time or the whims of a cruel moderator, I'm thinking I'll slowly transfer over here, assuming I'm well recieved. I hope we have good times ahead. I have a loooot of shit from Reddit, and I'm ready to lay it out on a velvet rug like an exotic street bazaar salesman.
