I love that they had Grace in the puffy sleeve silouette that was more trendy in 1905 (first image) than the streamlined look of 1910 (second). It lines up perfectly with when the family's fortune was in decline as louis says it had been 5 years since his father's death. A wealthy girl of her age would've been in the most up to date fashion but this is a very subtle reminder the family cannot afford to spend lots of money on new clothes anymore.
