Ted holds another piece of cheese atop a cracker to Rebecca's mouth, which she opens dutifully, allowing him to plop the food onto her tongue. She chews, hums appreciatively, swallows, and lets her cheek come to rest on Ted's shoulder. The sun feels warm on their skin, but not too hot. They've been eating their way through a charcuterie board while lounging beside the pool. Keeley's insistence that they require a holiday has turned out to be a blessing. While Rebecca rests against Ted's bare skin, still a little damp from their earlier dip in the pool, she lets out a quiet sigh. She feels Ted's arm come to rest around her back, securing her more tightly against him. "How're you feeling right now?" he asks. "Hmm..." Rebecca hums. "Happy. Relaxed. Well-fed." "Good." He presses a kiss to her hair, which is pulled up in a bun to keep it secure while they swim. She tastes like chlorine and her hair products. "You wanna go move to the shade if you're feelin' snoozy? We can't have you wake up all burnt up like a tomato," Ted giggles. She's drowsy enough that she knows Ted is right. But for one more moment, just a few stolen seconds, she luxuriates in the comfort of basking beside him in the sun. She'll get up just as soon as she thanks the universe for him, and for right now.
