Shadow was quite literally made to be cuddled.
Almost everything about Shadow being developed as a weapon was a blatant lie in order to get government funding so Geraldine could either make maria's life happier, or to create a cure for her disease.

remember the ending of shadow the hedgehog 2005 where shadow basically says that he wants to kill himself and vector the crocodile is like “nooo do that later not now” and then shadow walks off screen and all the sequence names for the ending are like “super crazy suicide death”. remember when that happened in a real sonic game

Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) remake in which Silver has a random chance of spawning at the end of any last stage that isn’t the true ending. Those secret boss encounters happen more often as you unlock more paths and his dialogue gets increasingly pissed each time.
