The entity that had been summoned practically growled, a cloak like swirling galaxies- or was it swirling galaxies molded into a cloak- shimmering around their form. One pair of arms crossed over a chest where a star pulsed with the heartbeat of universes, alive yet dying as lazarus green eyes glowered down at the league and bats alike.

“You know you could, fucking call, right?” they whined, aura of terror suddenly broken, unnatural fear torn away and leaving all of them wrong-footed and confused.

Dear Mr. Flanagan, first, I would like to let you know your works are my favorite pieces of media. I love the mini series', and Gerald's game is my favorite movie of all time! (I got so excited seeing the court room in House of usher, knowing it was also the conviction place of the moonlightman.)

I want to ask about how the Usher family may represent the 7 deadly sins. Is this true? And if so, I think some are glaringly obvious as to what sin they represent, but they all seem to have a "mix" of other sins in their behaviors; Some to the point that it's part to decide which sin they should represent.

Maybe it is leading us to believe that facets of evil are destined to interact with each other, or maybe that no matter how we try to catagorize evil, they all are the same face of the same issue? Was this intentional?

Hi! I've heard this a few times today - I'm sorry to say that it was NOT our intention to have the Usher kids represent the 7 deadly sins. Roderick only has 6 children, for one thing, and I got most of my religious horror out of my system in Midnight Mass (plus, no one will ever do the seven deadly sins better than Se7en, so why bother?). I'm always happy to see people digging into the work, and typically don't want to dissuade someone from whatever meaning they find there, but in this case I'd be lying if I said that was our intention.
