#𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐒𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓. LORD YANRIC HAIMELHEIM ― dark fantasy antagonist. original character accompanied by original canon. themes of death, genocide and fantasy war lay ahead. crafted by dima.
CARRD. ✦ MUSIC ✦
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧 a lich feigning humanity, reliquaries hidden in plain sight, carving the path for delusions of grandeur, decay permeating from your very core, and the insatiable desire to dig deeper into the earth.
Tumblr media
𝐈. no homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, harassment etc. i do not reblog callouts unless the individual is genuinely harmful (i.e. behaviour related to those listed), rather than being called out for personal grievances. you are welcome to block the tag 'callout /' for this purpose.
no god-modding/power-play; as the antagonist, yanric is ridiculously op in his original canon. liches are undead, ascended magic users. i don't intend to write fight scenes but of course i won't do any injury without checking with you first!
𝐈𝐈. i do not interact with minors. if you are a minor, i ask that you do not interact with me or this blog. i cannot guarantee that this blog will remain sfw, therefore this is a blanket rule.
𝐈𝐈𝐈. yanric is a villain (albeit charming and charismatic) and i don't intend to shy away/soften him up. i do not write incest, nsfw involving minors or sexual violence - i'm okay with these topics being included in a character's backstory but will not be writing these explicitly. i do write nsfw headcanons/nsfw themes in my threads. this may include sexual content and explicit gore / violence, with my rp partner's consent.
𝐈𝐕. this blog will be low activity. i work full time in a demanding job, so please don't interact with me if you need fast replies to maintain a muse. i am quite responsive ooc, but when it comes to writing, you will just have to take my word for it that i am worth the wait ʚ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎ɞ
𝐕. shipping is very cool. yanric is bisexual and very evil. i ship with chemistry, and i prefer head-canoning more than threads due to my writing speed, but i am still interested! generally singleship but this is not a hard rule. i’m also poly friendly! no nsfw with minors (mun/muse), no incest or SA plots.
NOTE: yanric is undead. his human appearance is a glamour, he is literally a corpse. i won't stop you if you wanna f*ck him but CINDY THIS IS A SKELETON, THIS IS BONES. also has "unhealthy" behaviours (obsession, jealousy, extremely co-dependent with parental issues) so fluff is very unlikely.
𝐕𝐈. i'd appreciate it if you didn't use heavy metaphors / poetry in our threads. absolutely no hate or anything, i just find it very difficult to understand what the characters are actually doing in this writing style. i also ask that you don't use real life face claims in our threads; i write characters who do not have irl images so it feels very space jam.
on the topic of imagery, icons are a mix of my own art, seth (ennead), and medici (lord of mysteries). please see below for credits!
𝐕𝐈𝐈. i go by dima and vodka interchangeably, for those who would rather not use names related to alcohol. both are fine with me! i'm 27 and use they/them. i'm a hobbyist artist and i love fantasy, liches in particular. i will draw our muses whether u like it or not. my dms are open, and feel free to ask for my discord!

    Ancient Egyptian Gods
Ancient Egypt had its fair share of gods to choose from. Some of them, according to scholars, would influence some of the characters in other cultures and religions around the ancient world.
The Egyptian “Nine Gods”, or The Ennead, was a group of 9 deities that were most commonly worshipped at Heliopolis.
Atum: The God of the Sun
Shu and Tefnut: Atum’s children
Geb and Nut: Atum’s grandchildren
Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Nephthys: Amut’s great-grandchildren
Steven Zucker - Depictions of Gods in Hunefer's Book of the Dead
This group of gods became the most prominent in the V and VI Egyptian Dynasties and ended with the occupation by Macedonian forces under Alexander the Great and his successors. ( yet  in ancient Egypt, the living Pharaoh was considered as the most powerful and important “god” in the land, albeit technically a demi-god.)
Ancient Egypt had a vast pantheon of Gods that were, they believed, responsible for many earthly phenomena and things from the Sun, to the flooding of the Nile. Of the many gods, some were more celebrated and important to ancient Egyptian culture.
Amun was a major Egyptian deity
Amun was one of Ancient Egypt’s most important Gods. He can be likened to Zeus as the king of the gods in ancient Greek mythology.
Amun, or simply Amon, was merged with another major God, Ra (The Sun God), sometime during the Eighteenth Dynasty (16th to 13th Centuries BC) in Egypt. Amun was widely considered by ancient Egyptians as also being the father of all pharaohs.
Amun-Ra formed one part of the so-called “Theban Triad” along with Mut and their son Khonsu(The Moon God), which was widely worshiped throughout ancient Egypt. He would retain his position as chief deity throughout the New Kingdom (16th to 11th Centuries BC) of Ancient Egypt.
He was a creator god who became a national god after the pharaohs moved their capital to the city of Thebes. He was later combined with Ra, who was a sun-god, a creator god and the king of the gods. The people saw Amun-Ra as the creative power behind the existence of all life. He was primarily considered to be the god of the pharaohs and represented wind, fertility and secrets.
Anubis: Protector of the underworld
Anubis is probably one of the most iconic and better-known of the Egyptian pantheon. The Jackal-headed God, Anubis was the protector of the gates to the underworld. He was also originally the god of death and the afterlife and was strongly associated with the mummification process of the dead prior to burial. It is widely believed that he ia associated with jackals because of their tendency to dig up and eat buried bodies whenever and wherever they could find them.
Anubis is also famous for his role in deciding the fate of the dead in the afterlife. Their heart was weighed by him against that of the “feather of truth” to assess their worthiness for entry into the afterlife. If they failed the test, another Egyptian God, Ammit, would devour them, both heart and soul.
Horus
Horus was a very special god in ancient Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, Horus was the son of Osiris and Isis who avenged his father’s death to rule Egypt. Horus was also the God of the sky.
During his vengeful battle with his father’s brother, Set, Horus lost one of his eyes, which would become the so-called “Eye of Horus” or Wadjet. According to Egyptian legend, when the other gods attempted to catch it, the eye began to cry and its tears became the first people of Egypt.
In ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic orthography, isolated parts of the “Eye of Horus” symbol were believed to be used to write various fractions.
Each of the six parts of the Eye of Horus correspond to a different sense. The right side of the eye is associated with the sense of smell, as it is closest to the nose and resembles this organ. Needless to say, the pupil represents the sense of sight, while the eyebrow represents thought, as it can be used to express our thoughts. The left side of the eye represents the sense of hearing, as it points towards the ear, and has the shape of a musical instrument. The curved tail resembles a sprout from a planted stalk of wheat or grain. As a representation of food, this part of the Eye of Horus corresponds to the sense of taste. Finally, the teardrop is supposed to represent the sense of touch, as this part of the Eye represents a stalk being planted into the ground, an act that involves physical contact and touching.
Horus’ eye would become one of the most potent protective symbols in ancient Egypt.
Osiris was Horus’ father
Osiris was the Egyptian god of life, death, the afterlife, and flooding events of the Nile. According to Egyptian mythology, he was the brother, and husband, of Isis and father of Horus.
Osiris, according to legend, was betrayed and killed by his brother Set who coveted his brother’s position as pharaoh. His sister, and wife, Isis, managed to temporarily resurrect him to conceive their son, Horus. Osiris appears to have later been merged with Dionysus during the Hellenic era of ancient Greece.
Osiris’ death and resurrection, as well as other elements of his story, have led some to believeOsiris might well be, in part, the inspiration for parts of Jesus Christ’s life in Christian mythology.
Bastet: The cat warrior Goddess
Bastet, or simply Bast, was an ancient Egyptian goddess of protection and, most importantly, cats. According to Egyptian mythology, she was the warrior daughter of Ra and was sent by him to fight his archenemy Apep. Worship of Bast appears to have begun around the year 3200 BCE, during the second dynasty in northern Egypt and her city is Bubastis.
Cats were very sacred to ancient Egyptians and held high, honored positions in many households throughout the land. They even achieved the status of demi-gods in ancient Egypt and harming, or killing one, was punishable by death.
Bast was seen as a protectress by ancient Egyptians and was also the defender of pharaohs. Bastet was the most honored feline deity in Ancient Egypt.
Set
Astra Nilsson - Relief of God Seth
Set, Seth, Sutekh, Setesh or Seteh was the ancient Egyptian god of the desert, thunder, evil pain, and suffering. According to Egyptian mythology, Set was responsible for protecting Ra on his journey to the afterlife. Scholars believe Seth’s cult was one of the oldest in Egypt. Some pharaohs honored him and used his name as part of theirs during certain periods. He was the personification of drought. As lord of the desert and drought, Seth was an opponent of everything that gave life. The Egyptians also saw him as a storm and war god. The Egyptians associated Seth with the planet Mercury.
Karen Green - Depiction of Horus defeating Seth
Set was also the brother of Osiris who replaced Ra as the pharaoh of Egypt. Set betrayed and killed his brother in order to take the position of pharaoh after Ra's death.
He was often represented by the color red which embodied the concept of evil for ancient Egyptians.
Ra: The Sun God
Since we’ve mentioned his name several times already, it would be uncouth not to include Ra.
Isawnyu - Relief of Ramses II making an offering to Ra and Nekhbet
He was one of the more prominent gods in the Egyptian pantheon and was often depicted as a falcon-headed man with a sun disk above his head to represent him as the God of the Sun and creation.
Ra was believed to have created the Earth, and every sunrise and sunset was seen to represent the process of renewal. It was said he was born each morning in the East and died each night in the West. He was later merged with other Egyptian gods, most prominently Amun.
Isis
Isis is an ancient Egyptian goddess, associated with the earlier goddess Hathor, who became the most popular and enduring of all the Egyptian deities. Her name comes from the Egyptian Eset, (“the seat”) which referred to her stability and also the throne of Egypt as she was considered the mother of every pharaoh through the king’s association with Horus, Isis’ son.
Her symbols are the scorpion (who kept her safe when she was in hiding), the kite (a kind of falcon whose shape she assumed in bringing her husband back to life), the empty throne, and the sistrum. She is regularly portrayed as the selfless, giving, mother, wife, and protectress, who places other’s interests and well-being ahead of her own. She was also known as Weret-Kekau (“the Great Magic”) for her power and Mut-Netjer, “Mother of the Gods” but was known by many names depending on which role she was fulfilling at the moment.
Osiris married Isis and, as the first born, assumed rule as Lord of the Earth, with Isis as his queen and consort.

Just randomly crying over Ennead so here is a beautiful Seth✨
Tumblr media
Also anyone else does have the urge to dye/style their hair to resemble their new 2D crush’s?
Now I want mine to be red
I cut it short and left it brown and wavy before🥂
Now there is a Yan Wushi- resembling white line in there
Beforehand I had it long and blueblack. Take a guess why👀
(It was actually great, I could style it like Uchiha, or braid it like Prince Xie/ Dang Gise - I had feathers for that very reason - or do random wuxia/xianxia hairstyles with black)
