Hannibal Lecter x Artist!reader

E, I TOLD YOU TO GET LOST!!

Artist!reader and Hannibal sitting together in bed, reader is tracing every detail of his face as Hannibal gazes into their eyes, almost trying to read their thoughts. Artist!reader will gently place their fingers under his chin and press their thumb against his cheekbone, then run a finger down his nose that seems to curve out ever so slightly, only to finally graze over his thin, pink lips and their prominent cupid's bow. They’ll feel his lips pull further into a straight-line smile under their touch and immediately notice how one side of his top lip rises a hair higher than the other. Artist!reader will finally look back up into Hannibal’s double lidded eyes, trying to imagine how they’d replicate the color of his irises. A writer might get away with throwing them under the vague category of “hazel”, but an artist has to find a way to actually replicate the dominant shade light chestnut, and shadows alluding to the same pale green of dried moss.

Hannibal would simply put a hand on the back of their neck and pull them into him so that he can briefly take in the scent of their hair, and the feel of it against his skin before pressing a lingering kiss to your forehead. He’ll have you look back into his eyes so he can tell you, “Goodnight, my darling {reader}.” Then he’ll snuggle back into theposition of their head nuzzled into his chest, his face buried in their hair, and his other arm under their head in place of a pillow.

“Guh’night.” Their words are muffled against Hannibal’s chest, but he understands them fine.

He knows they’ll dream of him. Everything they’d consciously memorized had been packed up into a suitcase for their subconscious to take into its own world to keep safe.

Hannibal will dream of them, too; the look of adoration in their eyes, how delicately they treat him, the way they seem completely entranced by him, and him alone.

Welp, 15 people found me through my user from Reddit and I can’t edit my posts so I’m just going to lean in and make an inside joke of it.

Also, turns out I made my last comic on the tumblr mock-up and not my high resolution canvas, so it looks great on tumblr- but it’s low res literally everywhere else.

I made a tiktok that pretty much encapsulates my pain so I never again forget to check my canvas settings.
