You two were underneath the blanket, facing sideways. they were nestled behind you, their arm wrapped securely around your waist. you can feel their gentle breath brushing against the nape of your neck, sending shivers down to your spine.

You tried to squirm a bit, sensing that their grip might be too tight for you, only to be met with them snuggling tighter and their groggy voice asking, "...What are you doing?"

"You hug me too tight," you murmured, accompanied with a low chuckle.

They pouted, "But you're warm," burying their face on your neck, "and I like hugging you."

You know you can't argue when they're all needy and cuddly like this. So you just sighed and let them continue, "Alright, sweet dreams, sweetheart."

you walk into their room, hoping to check up on them because they have been inside for quite some time. you take a little peek from the slightly ajar door, scanning the room to find what you're looking for.

but what you see is not what you expect.

there, in the dimly lit room, sat your f/o in their desk. their hand holds a framed photo of you, taken in one of your trips together. they softly gaze at your smiling face, their fingers ever so gently trace the lines of the frame. the sight takes you by surprise.

and then, they lift the frame and bring it closer to their lips. closer, closer, until their lips meet with the cold glass of the frame. your eyes widen. your heart skips a beat.

"hey," you call out, breathless.

they immediately turn around and blush, "hey—! i... i didn't notice you were there..." they stutter.

you cross the room and stand beside their desk. "what... what are you doing?"

they blush harder, letting out a sigh. "i... i just..." then they look into your eyes, "i just... missed you, that's all."

you blink in confusion, then laugh at their confession. "oh, you silly." you say as you wrap your arms around their neck, "im right here if you need to kiss me, you know."

they laugh as well, "yeah." as they lean into your embrace, "i know."
