One thing that I have learned is that a great part of my healing is going to consist of learning how to be around people while also maintaining my personhood and self-identity, something that was not extended to me for most of my life growing up. As Dr. Doyle mentions, it sucks, but it is something that I know will be necessary if I want to feel like a person who is capable of establishing and maintaining healthy connections.

I held a Jewel in my fingers
I held a Jewel in my fingers --
And went to sleep --
The day was warm, and winds were prosy --
I said "'Twill keep" --
I woke -- and chid my honest fingers,
The Gem was gone --
And now, an Amethyst remembrance
Is all I own --

SelfID/Self-identity
SelfID/Self-Identity/Self-identification- It is not a kin or selfhood/ID, but it is above ID/Selfhood; You literally are the character. Though you do not need psychosis to use this term.
----
Why we made this term me and @gh-ostt (go follow them seriously they made the term too) were talking about if there was a term for something above ID or Selfhood and was not related to having psychosis for being an IRL. But still being literally the character. So we conversed together and came up with this term! posting it here since i think it would be useful for everybody. Anyone is free to use it.

The Maze that Leads to Authentic Life
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be yourself in a world that’s constantly trying to make you something else. It’s like being in a maze, where every turn is a choice between being the real you and the you that everyone else expects.
Being authentic isn’t just some trendy word for me. It’s the topic at the heart of who I am. There have been times when just being myself felt like I…

Wise words from Dr. Doyle. Yes, families are meant to protect and nurture us, but as some of us have experienced, that isn’t always what we receive. When we get to the point of going our own way, we can begin to distance ourselves from that behavior and build a better life.

It's all the same, just noise.
While it may seem that fantasy, reality, dreams, and memories are all different aspects of our experiences, they each have distinct characteristics and play different roles in our lives.
Fantasy: Fantasy refers to imagined or unreal situations, events, or scenarios that exist only in the mind. It is a product of creativity and imagination and often serves as a form of escapism or a source of inspiration. While fantasies are not real, they can be powerful and can influence our thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Reality: Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, regardless of one's thoughts or perceptions. It is the tangible, objective world in which we live. Reality is governed by the laws of nature and is the basis for our daily experiences. It is consistent, external, and independent of individual beliefs or desires.
Dreams: Dreams occur during the rapid eye movement (REM) stage of sleep and involve a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that often feel real while we are asleep. They can be highly imaginative and may draw from elements of fantasy, memories, and real-life experiences. However, dreams are typically disjointed and surreal, often defying the laws of physics and logic.
Memories: Memories are the recollection of past experiences and events. They are formed from real-life experiences and are stored in the brain. Memories can be influenced by perception, emotions, and personal biases, and they are essential for learning, decision-making, and self-identity.
So, while these concepts may sometimes overlap or influence each other, they are not the same. Reality is the objective world we inhabit, while fantasy and dreams are products of the imagination, and memories are our recollections of past experiences. While these aspects of our consciousness may sometimes seem like "noise," they each have their place and significance in our lives.

"The fear" and "Grace Kelly"
Twice more unto the breach, with a pair of singles both popular and quality. It's the #FearOfMu21c project, where we’re crowdsourcing the greatest singles of the 21st century. This index post has all the entries.
"The fear" - Lily Allen
Daughter of Keith, sister of Alfie, Lily Allen might have been the most talented of them all. In a short hitmaking career (nine hits from 2006 to 2010, and a six-week revival in 2013), Lily showed she understood the young person's condition. The precarious life, take little pleasures when we can. Not so much a life of hedonism, but a life betrayed by the generations above.
"The fear" is a state-of-society capsule from 2009, written by Greg Kurstin and Lily Allen. "Life's about film stars and less about mothers. It's all about fast cars and cussing each other."
If the generation above had any sort of introspection, they'd ask themselves, "why do our children feel like this? Could we have done better?" But no, for the boomers and 50s kids, it's all "me me me me me", and they're still at it.
Grace Kelly - Mika
An ode to his insecurity, Mika puts on all sorts of different faces in an effort to impress someone. By the end of the song, he's learned that someone else has insecurities, and to have a little confidence in himself.
Written by Dan Warner, John Merchant, Jodi Marr, and Mika, this was the breakthrough single from early 2007, a slight return for vaudeville into the top five. The parent album, "Life in Cartoon Motion", was eye-poppingly bright, but the anglophone markets didn't like it when he went serious a few years later.
Mika has remained popular in France and Italy, where pop stars are allowed to have quality. He's done casting shows for major broadcasters, and a song competition in Turin.

If There Is No One To Love You, How Can You Be Certain Of Your Existence?
*continuation from part 1, a epilogue I guess (x)
There is an irony in society. People avoid being too different, hence avoid being themselves, and so the spirit wanes and wonder if it'll fade among the thousands of similar faces.
Will someone come and love me and show me the thing that makes me 'me'? Is it our job to help others see it? Is it our responsibility as sentient spiritual beings to help another? I don't know.
Some days, saying 'I love you' is too easy, too empty, too bland. Listen to their hearts, open your mind to their ways that you disagree with or oppose to and just see them as being them. See someone as they are more than some concept. Because Nick Cave says,
"Love says softly — I see you. I recognise you. You are human, as am I."
--- from The Red Hand Files Issue #103, full quote (x)
Rebecca Solnit said once, something of the like: you're not transforming to be an ideal self of ideal beauty, ideal brains or such, you're transforming to be your truest self.
I don't know the answer. I don't think I can find it. I'm not sure who this me is.
But maybe, I'll start listening to people and see if I can find who they are, a bit more than what I had taken for granted for.
And maybe, I'll start making better choices in life, better choices for my heart, have faith, have faith always, a crucial note to self.
☕ would you like to buy me a cup of coffee? (x)

Preview of the Philosophy Post
Inspired by a book I am enjoying titled “The Philosopher Queens”, I am opening another series on my blog titled “Philosophy Post”. Many philosophers have an armchair where they ponder about questions upon questions. Sometimes they would think about the answers to these questions. However, in my version, I will imagine myself at a lamp post. Picture a 20-something-years-old whose life in not the…
