If you think about it, all Allah SWT really asks from you is to try. Allah SWT knows His creation. He knows that us humans- we aren’t perfect. So try. Try to lay out your prayer mat. Try to talk to him. Try to complete this fast. You aren’t a bad muslim for making mistakes in your past. No matter how bad it was, Allah SWT’s forgiveness and mercy and love is there to take care of all of it for you.

Remember that you should enjoy taking care of yourself. And I mean it in a sense that it might be hard but that you are worth it, just like the other people you care for in your life. You are no exception to receiving the same love, support, and understanding that you give to others. Remember to pour some of all of that kindness to yourself.
Think about how you would treat a friend and try applying that to you. It is not easy at first, but you can teach your brain to remind itself that you are worthy of good things whenever you see yourself denying your basic needs and going in the direction of self-destructive habits. It might help you think twice and choose a more neutral way to care for yourself - maybe you don't love yourself yet, but you start to realize you are not an exception to kindness, comfort, contentment. You deserve it.
And maybe then one day you can love yourself, but for now, being neutral - feeling just okay with who you are - is enough. It's more than enough if it helps you go on and take care of your needs without feeling like it's not realistic to do so because you have trouble with self-love.

I used to be disappointed in the person that I was when I compared myself to the person I wanted to be, until I realized that, all along, I had been comparing who I was to what I thought would make others appreciate or even admire me. It was a very freeing realization.

I love Sundays! It is my reset day, and it is so nice to reset and refresh for the new week ahead. I also tried something new today which was going for a run. I have always categorised myself as a non-runner, but I’ll never be a runner if I have that mindset. So today I went for a run in the morning, and it was so freeing and left me feeling amazing! Now I will go for a run every Sunday morning and I’ll try to hit between 5-10 km! Afterwards I did my weekly everything shower, and went on to clean and declutter my space. Clear surroundings — clear mind. I am pumped for the upcoming week and I am excited for what it has in store.
