I found this fascinating post about Russian short names a long time ago and NOW I CAN FINALLY DO SOMETHING WITH IT basically Russian names can take different forms depending on how close you are to who you’re talking to. Heavy’s name is Mikhail (we don’t know his last name), and this is how Spy refers to him in the comics, while Heavy’s short name is Misha, which is used by his family. But the name forms can get even fluffier or more tender than that! I asked some Russian speakers on Twitter for options and they gave me a wide variety, so I just threw a bunch in here. |D Other options could be Mishutka, Mishula...
I’d imagine anything fluffier than Misha would be embarrassing for him, but Heavy appreciates the effort anyway. <3

#turning novel#터닝#kishiar la orr#yuder aile#when i tell you i read the manhwa in one go last night and then started reading the novel today bc commenters said it was good#and my god were they right#i'm 40+ chapters in so i've just passed where the manhwa is at rn and wow#first of all thank god there are high quality and easily accessible translations#second of all kuyu-nim has a way of making all the lines carry weight. the dialogue and body language cues especially#like i'm definitely not that far in but there are already a few lines i can point out that made my heart clench#and the tension between the two leads is so so palpable#kishiar is very enigmatic i'm very interested in finding out what he's really thinking and what his abilities are#and i really appreciate the way yuder's development is focused on him caring about others and relying on them#ok and third the fact that it's a slow burn romance but focuses heavily on the plot and politics and relationships is so good#based on the tags this could have been very tropey but they didn't go that route and i'm glad for it#in other news i'm upset about how yuder came out but i have to post him bc i will not separate them ;;;#thought kishiar would be harder to draw bc he's pretty:tm: and i struggle drawing pretty boys but yuder put me through the wringer fr#anyway!! i love them very much!! going a little insane over them as you can see!!

feel like we as a community do not take advantage of the fact that almost all of the characters we have at our disposal are bilingual. there is a world of hijinks we are not accessing
#ieytd#*I* would have accessed them like months ago if i remembered how to write#and also if i ever worked up the courage to ask for translations from my like. 8-way-bilingual stepmother#i forgor she knew all of those languages#the only people who might not speak other languages is like. maybe prism and juniper? maybe hivemind? i dont know#and MAYBE phoenix based solely on the translation comment in the first game. but even then that's a stretch#the handler is canonically bilingual. same with anna and fabby and solaris i would imagine seeing as they're all immigrants#i really like the thought that zor is native in spanish its one of my favorite zor headcanons so as far as i'm concerned they're bilingual

favorite part of the qsmp: getting to see clips from streamers i would have never known about be translated into english and being able to enjoy the different cultures and content.
least favourite part of qsmp: any time an english speaking cc does anything remotely funny i want to share it with the other communities. but i only speak english so i just have to pray that there is someone out there doing gods work.

On visiting Jin: the way Jimin explained it... it sounded like he had a couple days off and it so happened Hobi had some time off too but the others were busy with their schedules so that’s why he and Hobi were the only ones to go visit Jin. I KNOW if Jungkook had a chance to go see Jin he WOULD have. You can’t convince me otherwise.
Jin looks different to me. Jimin said he was adjusting well.

Overall, he was happy, teasing, excited for all the things he was going to show us. I love seeing an upbeat and happy Jimin. It makes my heart sing.

Have you read one fanfic on AO3 titled Re:Incarnated? One of the most interesting and new aspects of this story for me was Subaru being reborn as a half-elf by Satella. I bet no one has ever thought and acted on that idea before, but there are some questions that bother me, for example, in the canon series there are moments where Subaru relies on Earth's modern technology and knowledge to solve difficult problems, Subaru becomes a half-elf in the world of Rezero and that means that he forgets about his previous life on Earth in Japan, and then when faced with the same dilemma How should Subaru solve it? But I feel these questions should go wait for the original author's update to get answered.
I have to say that fic opened a new door for my inspiration, and I also started to think about creating my own Subaru's elf or half-elf AU, and even imagined a crossover with Lord of the Rings (after all, there's a ton of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter crossover fics on AO3 and fanfiction) Like one day Subaru is for whatever reason transported to Middle-earth by Satella accidentally and experienced something there, and then how he was found and adopted by the elves of Middle-earth, I think it would be very interesting how the elves of Middle-earth were surprised to find out that elves existed in the Otherworld, Subaru looks similar to them but differs in a few places,and then how Subaru got along with the elves of Middle-earth, and how he explored his own existence and self-worth,how would it be different than the canon series (My half-elf Subaru's character isn't too far off from the canon) Sorry I'm getting a bit carried away, I'm an incorrigible and extreme fan of crossover tropes, I hope you don't mind too much!

as for re:incarnated - i read a chapter or two AGES ago, so i really dont remember much of the fic sadly T^T but ill consider possibly going back to it and reading through it!!! i have a very long to read list though so ill see pfft. and yeah i think that fic was def like. one of if not the first fic to have like half elf subaru as an idea be explored and it also shows a Different method of the isekai trope (being reincarnated!!!) which is fun i think!! plus like. putting "re:" in fic titles is EXTREMELY extremely common in this fandom which i suppose makes sense given. the source material is called rezero. granted most of the time (this is just my opinion btw and i mean no harm by it HAH), to me a lot of fics with "re:" in the title dont justify why the "re:" is actually there. "Re:Incarnated" though is an EXTREMELY good use of the "re" imo. i love the pun <3
yeah as for the fic material itself - i do think its interesting to like change small bits of characters. not in the sense that youre changing like the Core of who they are but i Like seeing experimentations with characters to see like small differences. which is why i love aus (such as the literal canon aus we get in the form of the What Ifs and such!!). if that makes sense. that probably makes more sense in my head HAH anyway!! i always feel like changing a characters backstory is SO HARD to pull off without completely changing a character bc it shapes them a lot. but half elf subaru is definitely an idea that can be done in an interesting way imo and im curious to see how re:incarnated handled that. i know ive considered like emisuba roleswaps myself where emilia was isekaied from earth and subarus a half elf which was kind of like re:incarnated but also not like re:incarnated bc subaru had a similar backstory still but now with a fantasy world background (and vice versa for emilia) aljdfdlsjf. but yeah like i like seeing people experiment with these characters and make fun aus!!! and for me personally its hard for me to find ones i like in this fandom + this fandom doesnt do all the usual fic-isms (like there is next to zero soulmate aus for example HAH) so. interesting i suppose!!
as for your own half elf subaru au - im delighted that you were inspired by re:incarnated and are having fun with your own au as well!! :D while i basically know next to nothing about lord of the rings, your idea definitely sounds interesting, though i dont usually read crossovers that arent fusion aus - but i REALLY love the idea of like two different elf species from two different worlds going ??? at each other HAH thats fun stuff!! and i definitely like when despite all the AU things going on, characters like subaru arent too far off from canon in all the big important ways (ie his whole personality) bc for me, its like - theres a reason why we love these characters and i love trying to capture the heart of who they are even with au things, you know? :o but hah yeah ive made my own crossovers though in private (not to post, just for fun pfft) and i hope you keep having fun about your own half elf subaru au bc it sounds very neat <3 ty for sharing anon!! :D

Recently, really appreciates Gira's empathy. I grew together with Gira. Compared to when we first started, I feel calmer and more dependable on set.

Amusement Park in Kyushuu PR trip
Masashi is scared of the roller coaster. Aoto and I were sitting in front so we can't see the expressions of Kaku-san and Masashi behind us. When we looked back at the videos, Masashi's face turned blue.
Haunted House: Mari and Yuzuyan ran away. Yuzuyan is scared of haunted houses/ghosts so Mari ran away with her. (Erica comment: we went for a girl's date~) I'm not as scared of ghosts as much as I'm bad with jumpscares. But Kaku-san, even when I shouted at the jumpscare, he was always emotionless. That in turn scared me. Incredible, Kaku-san.
Summer Station
I was very nervous! I'm not good at facing a large crowd. Sorry for bringing trouble to the other five members. Thank you for saving me. The supportive atmosphere from the fans is overwhelming. I feel particularly encouraged by the little kids's energy.
Your parents' reaction to the movie?
They came to the greetings in Fukouka (Taisei's hometown), in the first row. Everyone can spot them at once. I didn't know we looked that much alike. Surprisingly, they don't have much to say, but I'm just happy we found time to share a meal.

I’ve seen a few people say they don’t like how hua cheng was depicted in the latest episode because “he isn’t depressed like that” or “it’s like he’s stuck as hong er or wu ming” because he looked upset when xie lian said he would repay him for burning down the manor and for looking upset because he hurt xie lian, but when i reread the scene and it basically was the same thing. It’s not that hua cheng is depressed, he just was upset over hurting xie lian and i don’t think showing that emotion on his face is ruining any character development he’s had. Perhaps some people see these characters differently, which is fine! But this is just how i feel personally. And you don’t have to like the donghua by any means! But i feel as though it does accurately portray the characters the best it can within like 25 minutes per episode.

Just got to the bit where Greed says his "buddy" taught him how to fight Wrath, and while I assume he means via piggybacking off memories I am now envisioning Ed, Darius, and Heinkel sitting around a campfire watching their 'boss' try and fail to do a backflip while yelling at himself.
