*Sedum furfuraceum. . . . #echeverialover #echeveria #sedum #sedumrobrotinctumaurora #sedumfurfuraceum #crassula #crassulaovatasunset #anacampseros #anacampserosretusa #suculentasmexico #succulenthaul #succulentsofinstagram #succulentcollection #succulentgarden #succulentlove #succulent #succulents #suculenta #suculentas https://www.instagram.com/p/CfKSMy6vami/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Mixture of some of the original succulents and some newer, healthier succulents. I don't know how they quite managed it but some of the original plants were overwatered, some where heavily underwatered, and some were perfectly happy.

SEDUM RUBROTINCTUM 'AURORA' [jelly beans]
Jelly bean props, which for some reason are all differet colors. These propagate very easily and turn pinker the more light you give them. What I really want are the pink and black variegated version of these (goth... plants....)

Year two
During my second year of plant keeping I was still not very educated on plants. I watered all my plants the same amount, didn't even check if their soil was wet before watering. I also lived in a room where I had to keep my blinds closed because the people I rented from had a balcony right outside my window. The window was really big, which meant if they were on the balcony they would see my whole room whether they wanted to or not, which I wasn't comfortable with. So my plants didn't get that much sun. During this year, my mystery kalanchoe (that I mentioned in the last post) died. He was my favourite plant, so during his dying of rot I started researching to try to help him, and I also became aware of the fact that my other plants might die as well. Instead of looking for answers, I sent an extensive message to a plant site, asking for the names of my plants species, what might be wrong with my kalanchoe, and how to propagate my other plants if they ever face the same fate. The reply that I got was basically "buy new plants if they die", and no real answers, which infuriated me. Though, this was the year that I experienced really bad depression for the first time, and so my plant research didn't go much further than that. This year I started buying more plants though.
The plants I still had from the previous year were: Haworthia fasciata, crassula ovata gollum, kalanchoe tomentosa, mystery kalanchoe, and peperomia dolabriformis.
Plectranthus scutellarioides. A beautiful bright green plant that I named Sirena. She was my first experience with propagation, but they all died some years ago.
Sedum rubrotinctum. I loved this plant, it was so cute and little. I think I named it donkey because it was in a pot that looked like a donkey or something, but I wasn't pleased with that name. It died pretty quick.
Cypress 'Ellwoodii'. I couldn't resist buying one before christmas, but it died really quick. These are hard to keep alive as they need a lot of humidity though.
Chamaedora Elegans. I bought her together with my Dracaena marginata, my friend named her Mace. She actually survived for a while, longer than she should've! But eventually, she died.
Dracaena Marginata. Her name is Queen, and she's still alive.
Aloe vera. I got her from my aunt, named her Aurora. she left a lot of pups who have also had pups, but the original plant died a few years ago.
Corokia. I can barely remember this plant. My mom gave me this big beautiful corokia as a birthday gift I think? I had whined about wanting one for a while. I kept it at my parents house and it died really quick. First expensive plant that I ever killed.
I think that's it for year two! So many year two plants died 😅 Not all of them died during year two though

5 Things 🐸
Tagged by @history-rover
5 things you’ll find in my bag:
My laptop! I use my backpack now more often than my bag bc of school fml
A Yusuke-themed (Persona 5) pencil pouch ((where I keep my 20 or so ink gel pens bc I prefer those over pencils))
PB&J sandwich aka my lunch aka the thing I’ve been eating since September so it’s become a permanent fixture in my bag
The Norton Anthology of English Literature, 9th ed., The Victorian Age (Vol. E)
Car/house/work keys on my favorite astro birb lanyard <3
5 things you’ll find in my room:
Persona 5 wall scroll (the one with protag+arsene)! I bought it at the last Anime Expo (2017)
My budgie’s cage
My succulent plants: Fiona (jade/ogre ears), Izu (sedum rubrotinctum aurora/pink jelly bean), and Tama (echeveria blue star)
A low table I’m altering to double as a kotatsu even though I live in California and it’s eternally 90 degrees fahrenheit here
A shitton of hero aca merch (fanmerch like prints, charms, cushions as well as the nendos and a couple pops)
5 things that make me feel happy:
Same as Liz here with writing! I’m a creative writing major--been writing since elementary school, went into journalism, was on the yearbook crew and I’m currently working with a magazine. I write when I’m happy, when I’m stressed, heck, my mom had to ground me from writing once since I do it so much
My budgie, my baby, my son/sun/WORLD: Kubera! He’s been with me since last Christmas Eve and is a little over 1yo now. He’s my go-to when I’m down, before anyone else.
All my awesome friends (on and offline), mutuals, followers, readers! You guys put up with me hahahaha and I’m thankful everyday (shout out to the discord server bc y’all have made being in this fandom 100000000x more fun!)
Plants <3 I love flowers and succulents
During late-fall/winter when you’ve gotta wake up at 5am for classes and the roads are clear, the air is crisp, morning hasn’t yet settled in and THERE’S LESS TRAFFIC, B L E S S
5 things I’m currently into:
Hero Aca
Anne of Green Gables
To the Moon
Pokemon
Being a Good Student and actually not procrastinating
5 things on my to-do list:
Watch Stranger Things with my best friend!
Finish this gosh darn fic I’ve been working on
Trying out this new corn chowder soup recipe
Start buying xmas gifts before the post office kaboooooms
Getting an A on my English midterm again to spite my professor (who always proudly says “oh I rarely give out As.” Well, screw u i’m gonna get it i hate u)
Tagging 5 people (as always, optional! I know I spam y’all a bunch hahahaha): @azreto @grey-skies-over-cold-water @kvrloz @daevuy (or @fynnn-s ? not sure which you prefer)  @periapse -- and anyone who wants to do this!
