the otterverse is a tumblr-based rp that began in early september 2022, and originally it was a fight about minecraft youtuber tits. yes, that's right.

with felix tied to a chair in the theater, c!paci and divanon monologue onstage, flirting and quoting hamilton in equal measure. finally, after a tense and homosexual standoff, c!paci takes out a gun (bc hamilton), and shoots the roof of the theater, bringing it down on themself, divanon, and everyone else. c!felix is initially the only survivor (later retconned bc we wanted to bring back old characters later), and although c!paci is irrevocably proclaimed dead, divanon's body was never found.

Iconic Moments of RH 2022

It’s that time of year where I look back on the moments that defined Real Housewives from January to December, and this year was another rollercoaster ride.

I originally started with this because of the weak seasons the shows were having, and silly me who didn’t want to acknowledge that it’s the beginning of the end for the franchise decided to counter the criticism with an appreciation post.

What I can say about 2022 is that it has been a strange year. And if I’m going to be honest, it has been a Bravo year of failures, really.

Heather Dubrow couldn’t save RHOC, so now the producers has brought back Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson and even Taylor Armstrong as a friend!

Erika Girardi and Lisa Rinna were successful in derailing the focus from Erika’s legal issues and drunken behaviour by exposing Kathy Hilton.

But the much-anticipated trip to Aspen became a huge fiasco since there were no footage or audio from Kathy’s so-called meltdown.

The newest housewife Diana Jenkins was another fiasco.

And while RHOBH had a dramatic season, it was an incredibly toxic season that wasn’t that much fun to watch.

There is still no sign of a new season of RHONY or the RHONY Legacy show on Peacock, since Bravo can’t come up with a cast that works, so there’s another failure.

Casting for season 13 of RHOA was allegedly a disaster as the producers were left with promoting Marlo Hampton, bringing Shereé Whitfield back (again!), renewing Drew Sidora and bring in the newcomer Sanya Richards-Ross.

Against all odds, the cast actually worked, even if it wasn’t perfect. It made their season somewhat of a mixed bag with some great moments and some disappointing moments.

As for RHOSLC it’s apparent that the show is in serious trouble without Mary Cosby’s quirkiness and soon loses Jen Shah as her sentencing begins in January.

As Bravo hadn’t hired anyone to replace Mary or Jennie Nguyen, they were left with 5 housewives and 3 friends. I’m just afraid that RHOSLC won’t last very long without the big personalities like Mary and the Shahmazing Jen.

As I said, a year of failure pretty much.

The only shows that were solid and kept me fully entertained throughout the season was RHOM, RHONJ and The Ex-Wives Club!

I know that people might disagree with my list, but it’s my personal list with my favourite moments. Please let me know what your favourite moments of Real Housewives in 2022 was.

1) “Lenny is dating her now!”

The unravelling of Lisa Hochstein’s marriage is one of the most fascinating and most real the Real Housewives has been in decades!

The moment when she told the women about the chaos her life has become in one week was epic. From all the crazy details about Lenny Hochstein, to Guerdy Abraira’s screaming in shock and Alexia Echevarria unleashing her wrath.

This was Housewives Gold.

2) “She was a fucking pharmaceutical rep, you fucking idiot!”

I just loved this moment with Jennifer Aydin from the season premiere of season 13!

Margaret Joseph was accusing Jennifer of lying and being fake, but when she talked about Bill Aydin being unfaithful, Jennifer didn’t lie or deflect.

She corrected her with the truth, and that��s truly a top tier Housewife move and an iconic moment. It’s one of my absolute favourite moments this year.

3) “You need another villain? Here I am.”

Now, this is not a fun iconic moment, but it was such an eventful party that I couldn’t leave it out of my list. And it’s impossible to chose one of the disastrous moments from the party, so I’ve settled with the entire mess!

In one corner we had Sutton Stracke having a bizarre and chaotic conversation (?) with Diana who was in a particularly bitchy mood that night, and a drunk Kyle Richards who was manhandling Sutton and belittled her miscarriages.

In the other corner we had a wasted Erika who mad an embarrassing ass of herself by trying to seduce Garcelle Beauvais’ oldest son and cursed at her youngest son.

This party was truly chaotic.

4) “No, she’s only five years older than me...”

Next on my list is the moment from RHUGT2 that I can’t stop thinking about. After Brandi Glanville threatened to fight Dorinda Medley, Phaedra Parks tried to calm her down at the bar.

She told her that she couldn’t fight Dorinda, because she was old enough to be her mother. And Brandi answered “No, she’s only five years older than me…” To which they started to laugh. Even the poor bartender started to laugh uncontrollably behind his face mask.

This moment was comedy gold. But so was RHUGT2. It was so surprisingly chaotic and hilarious. The show was one of the highlights in 2022.

5) “She’s a whore. She has fucked half of New York.”

This moment was from the second season of RHOSLC, but it aired in 2022. It was the hot mic moment of all hot mic moments, it would seem. And she’s suffering the consequences well into the end of season 3.

Lisa Barlow was unravelling in the most confusing way, at least to me. I didn’t understand why she was so upset with everybody and being so defensive. She made everything about herself and as she felt that Meredith Marks was unwilling to have her back, she flipped out.

She said the most horrific things about her so-called best friend, and I still don’t understand the anger towards Meredith. However, this was one of the most memorable moments in RHOSLC, and as it affects the relationship on the show during season 3, it deserves a spot on my list.

6) “Luckily you’re not on parole anymore.”

Teresa Giudice was not happy about Margaret at all this season.

She questioned very understandable rumors about Teresa’s new boyfriend, which Teresa was refusing to listen to, and as the hostility built throughout the season, it exploded during their cast trip to Nashville.

This was the moment the women had teased to the press about as the table flipping 2.0. Was it as iconic as the original table flip? No, I doubt nothing ever will. But it was definitely a memorable moment that stood out this year.

As many of the other shows has suffered throughout the last couple of years, RHONJ is one of the shows that always deliver and always entertains. And the ratings show that.

7) “I’m a four time Olympic gold medalist! Put some respect on my name!”

Some might disagree with me that my only moment from RHOA this year is the moment with the newbie Sanya, but I don’t care.

I have mentioned time and time again how much I loved this moment. It was the same reaction as I had to Jennifer’s correction of Margaret’s accusation. It was a jaw-dropping moment, however, there wasn’t really as dramatic as RHONJ, which is why it’s lower on my list.

It’s also a cred for the newbie, for dropping memorable one-liners already in her first season. And I applaud that, and I’ve been missing that.

Sanya is a housewife with great potential, and I can’t wait for season 15.

8) “You’re the biggest bully in Hollywood and everyone knows it.”

People might feel that the fans give Kathy way too much credit for her portrait on RHOBH. And I understand that she might be overrated, however, Bravo made her the most important woman at the reunion as they continued to tease about her in two parts.

Bravo made it all about Kathy. And Kathy didn’t disappoint. She stood her ground against Rinna and Erika. They wanted to divert the attention away from Erika, so they leaked Kathy’s meltdown to the press.

As Kathy has been known for being more whimsical and hunky dory, it was surprising to see her defend herself at the reunion.

9) “I think we all know what happened, we just don’t want to talk about it.”

Heather Gay’s black eye. Oh God. It’s one of the most insufferable things that has ever happened on RHOSLC, and that show has really seen some things. Heather was everybody’s fan favorite.

But the way she handled this black eye was infuriating. She early said that she needed a cover story to protect the women from suspicions, but by not telling the truth about it, she put them all under suspicion. And that’s reckless.

It was promised as a shocker in the trailer. As epic drama. But as we saw the season play out, it’s more like we got duped and taken for fools. It absolutely pissed me off.

10) “Peter says he has got beef with you.”

It was certainly one of the most bizarre arguments on RHOP so far. Mia Thornton attacked Wendy Osefo because of some bullshit Peter Thomas had told her in Miami. Why Mia felt the need to execute this beef on Wendy is everyone’s guess.

And while it wasn’t as shocking as the winery fight in season 5, this scene created a rage among the fans about the way the cast members treated Wendy.

Mia threw a drink and a purse at Wendy, and Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon blamed Wendy for some reason. The fans were enraged, and it became a huge scandal.

After her divorce, Susan dated a lot due to the fact that she finds her self worth in others. Donnie was the longest of the boyfriends before she met Neil and one of the few that Max didn't absolutely hate.

In the book, Max describes him as "on disability for his back and couldn't bend down. He made us Bisquick pancakes on the weekends and told terrible jokes, and then one day he ran off with a waitress from iHOP."

Neil Hargrove, Susan & Dottie’s ex-husband, Max’s step-father, Billy’s biological father

Neil spent a good chunk of his youth in the military, and military discipline was a key factor in his personality. He was strict and tidy, a perfectionist and borderline OCD. Max describes him as a man who “drove a tan Ford pickup and his shirts were ironed and his mustache made him look like some kind of army sergeant or park ranger”. He was a clean freak and placed emphasis on family dinners

As an adult, he worked as a guard at a bank where Susan worked as a teller. He likes to think he’s a charmer and even did an entire song and dance of courting both his wives. With Dottie, he sweet-talked her on campus and treated her like a princess in order to sweep her off her feet. Seducing Susan was easier because of her low self-confidence, but he would bring her flowers and complimented her cooking, and the fact that he had a steady job helped seal the deal for Sue.

His controlling personality started showing shortly after he proposed to Susan. Supposedly, “he bought her a ring and she gave him an extra key to the house. He showed up when he felt like it, bringing flowers or getting rid of throw pillows and pictures he didn’t like, but he didn’t come over after ten and he never spent the night.” Max described him sarcastically as “too much of a gentlemen” and “old-fashioned”

Damien does not use his enthrallment or incubus abilities?

Damien’s father is a purebred brute demon. Brute demons feed off rage energy and probably fear. I do not see Damien as a fighter, but he will fight if necessary. Any other of Damien’s abilities comes from his mother who is a succubus. In Seduce Me Ask lore, Damien’s mother has the mind reading ability that passed down to Damien. Damien’s mind reading is an inherited mutation or curse. Damien has no way to escape his mind reading powers prior to Diana’s spell. Aside from mind reading, I believe Damien is more susceptible to hearing or talking with spirits thanks to his mother’s shadow genes. However, I do not think that Damien hearing Harold was Damien’s ability alone. Harold’s spirit probably hung around because he wanted to make sure the boys and Mika were ok. Harold always knew Mika was struggling at home and the boys were not safe from angels because they were demons. Shadow demons probably feed off others fear, sadness, guilt, or loneliness. So, he could have been feeding off that growing up. Although, as you mention Damien was kept away from like a slave because of his slave birth. I believe this was also a means to keep Damien from gaining too much power. In Michaela Laws’ other Tumblr (thegrandlibraryofyggdrasil) and in Seduce Me Asks, she covers that Damien’s mother is the second strongest mother. In demon hierarchy sex demons are of the highest rank and have the most power. Moreover, teaching a child about how the world works means they could out wit you. So it would be more beneficial for the Demon Lord to keep Damien from educating himself. If Damien educated himself, Damien would probably find a way to get back at the Demon Lord for abusing his mother. If Damien gained social connections using his mind reading, Damien could get others to rebel against the Demon Lord to break free. In essence, Damien has the potential to be a great foe if the Demon Lord gave him the same opportunities as his brothers.

Not same power or authority as his brothers….because illegitimate.

Despite Damien being an illegitimate child, Diana mentions if they get married Damien would be king. Diana does not consider Damien to be king material because she only heard rumors about him being an uneducated slave. If she went after Damien that would mean she would have to teach Damien the basics and most of the decisions would fall onto her. To teach someone something new takes time, time is not something a person who is getting ready for a rebellion has. Moreover, Diana is a purebred succubus. Thus Diana would have more power than any of the halfbreed brothers do. Damien’s mother may not have been of royal blood, but Damien does shared the same blood as the king/The Demon Lord. From my memory, there is a scene in SMTO1 when the pig pawn is upset that the slave mother was demanding things for Damien. Meaning beings in the castle are aware that Damien is a half royal. If Damien’s mother could do this, it shows that Damien does hold some power of his own. This scene could have been written in to show that Damien’s mother knew how to use her mind reading, succubus temptation, or shadow powers against others as leverage. However, the biggest enemy Damien would have to face is his mind reading or the thoughts of others who look down on him. I have no doubt in mind that years of hearing others talk down to him would leave Damien with depression to some degree. As I mentioned perviously, Damien never taught or socialized much because he is a threat to the Demon Lord. Recall, Diana’s deal with the Demon Lord was to get his sons back to the throne. The Demon Lord did not care which one of his sons returned, he just wanted one of his puppets that had his blood back home to maintain his legacy. I will talk more of the Demon Lord’s legacy later. My point here, is that Diana is not looking to argue why the boys are unfit to be king. Diana was talking down on the boys in hopes that Mika would give them up for not being good boyfriend or husband material. Diana from the first moment we meet her, shows how she can manipulate other’s emotions for her benefit.

"Do we kill Diana" SMTO2 (SM2TDW) dilemma.

There was a person on Tumblr who wrote a bit of an essay that SMTO2 (SM2TDW) felt more like an apology letter to Diana. In SMTO1 Diana was written as the bad guy who was simply evil, yet in SMTO2 she is suddenly justified because now we see the reason why she wanted to have marriage as a truce. Diana wanted to prevent war and future bloodshed. We, the player, took away her option and forced her to battle. Diana wronged us in the first game because she did not know that we are not Harold Anderson. She only learned of Harold Anderson’s passing later if we romance her in SMTO1. Diana did not have to ask our permission to take Damien’s powers. She only asked because Damien would hesitate to lose his mind reading if Mika was attached to his abilities. Do we love Damien as a being or do we love him because he is a sexy demon with powers? Do we trust Damien, a demon we claim to love, with another female for a few minutes? If we could not see in SMTO1 how jealous us players are then of course our choice would be to kill Diana. Yet, Diana in SMTO2, saved us from being transported into the Demon Lord’s castle. She did not have to, but she knew Mika was cared for and that Mika’s traveling without her love interest meant danger. Diana ensured we were fed, had shelter, had clothes, and protection when she did not have to. Diana in SMTO2 made peace with us and is no longer a threat. If we never forgave her for SMTO1 and could not acknowledge her actions in SMTO2 then of course the player would choose to kill her. I want to point out how in Seduce Me Asks, Michaela Laws had mentioned that Seduce Me 2 was an apology to Diana. Diana was wronged and the players hated SMTO1’s end for Damien. Players did not like that Damien had to sleep with Diana to get rid of his powers. So players were given this choice so they could reflect on their relationship with Diana, not to debate the impact of this choice on others.

Alternate character design.

I do agree that seeing alternative demon character designs away from the original game would be cool. However, I prefer canon characters to remain familiar. There are a few Tumblr stories where the boys take on Neko forms because cast a spell wrong or by accident. So it is possible to have that happen if you would like. Also, to rewrite Damien’s genes would mean reevaluating his relationship from birth. How would being part animal demon affect his mother, his brothers, in relation to his environment, and his love interests. To make Damien weaker would mean to pair him with a stronger character forcing him to either be heavily dependent on others or force him to become more aggressive like Sam.

Animal demon does not change context of the story.

Here I disagree. Animal demons do not hold the same power of charm as demons do. Animal demons, depending on how animal they are, may be more feral or instinct based than others. Meaning some animal demons may have heat cycles and be discriminated for having heat cycles. Look at Rabbit she was forced to either service others or become a sex slave based on her animal demon genes. If you make Damien was an animal demon this prejudice would be on him as well and may mean he could become more like Erik. On the other hand animal demons could be more aggressive when threatened meaning Damien would either become like Sam or snap because of stress. Damien’s mind reading doubles down on this stress and this stress could have un-alived Damien. Again, I am not sure since I have not replayed the game. But a pig fawn does mention about one of the women’s audacity for requesting things, I think this pig fawn was complaining about Damien’s mother. If Damien’s mother was an animal demon who was raised from low birth, I do not think she would try to stand up to anyone in the castle. Damien’s mother had some form of pride and knew others recognized it to some degree. If Damien was an animal demon, he would be the only brother with unique features. To add unique features further highlights how much of an outcast Damien is compared to his brothers. To make him the only animal demon out of his family would mean Damien would have no one aside from his mother to relate to. If he had problems he could not run to any of his brothers for help or to ask questions. Since at most, the only thing his brothers could do would be to listen or try remedies based on hearsay. As a fellow incubus, Damien has older brothers who has been through the urges and struggles before to guide him. Kind of like how not all trauma survivors experience the exact same thing, but being from similar situations shows others they are not alone.

Canid family.

The downside of writing about a canid animal is the idea of werewolves and omegaverse dynamics. There are some people, like myself, who as soon as they see anything about "dog demons" sees boys love content. Boys Love/yaoi have a term called omega verse where males can get pregnant by other males. Now, I doubt that was your intention for wanting Damien to be a canid demon. I was just mentioning my thought when I saw the phrase. Anyway, the main question would be why not make Damien a werewolf then? The downside of making Damien a werewolf is that Damien’s bloodline would further be diluted. The more diluted and split apart a bloodline is the weaker the offspring are. Werewolves are typically half human, some can be half anything else, just depends on the story. Although, Michaela Laws had stated in a Seduce Me Asks that Sam was the first boy created. Meaning Sam was the only true story and canon ending she had in mind. The other brothers were added later. If Michaela Laws wanted to write more about a dog demon Damien then Seduce Me probably would not have been called Seduce Me. To write about a demon species that is not part of the same set as the rest means exploring and writing for a longer time. Thus, Seduce Me probably would not have come out when it did. Besides Seduce Me stands out because it has sex demons! Most of the tome and reverse harem games have animal demons. I believe Seduce Me The Otome was my first interactions with a reverse harem (female mc), multiple main male sex demon love interests, English voice acted, and English created game.

Enforcing the complexity of Damien.

Each of the brothers can be watered down in basic anime tropes. Damien fits the mysterious boy who hold the trauma. His trauma was being of low birth and mind reading. To pin being an animal demon on top of that is like adding an eyepatch, white hair, robotic arm, and visible scars to character just to look cool. Damien’s mother killed herself in front of her son because Damien reminded her everyday that the Demon Lord raped her just by simply existing. On top of the visual trauma, Damien could probably hear just how much his mother resented him in that moment from her thoughts. Could you imagine the pain he must of felt that his own mother could not even stand him being alive? Now, you want to add that he is an animal demon so he can only relate to his brothers by aggression/rage. As mentioned, being an half incubus and half brute Damien can relate to his brothers better and they could help give him energy. As a half-animal demon, Damien would feed on other things that his brothers may struggle to get for him because Damien was kept away for a reason.

**THE DEMON LORD’S LEGACY

The games does cover that there is an active war between The Demon Lord and Lilith Castle. In the game the Demon Lord has gained power because he is a greedy tyrant and destroyed many kingdoms. Lilith Castle is the only faction that the Demon Lord has not been able to conquer. What I am trying to say is that not all slaves started off in the slave class (human, animal demon, etc.). Now the rest of my explanation comes from Seduce Me Ask and Miss Laws’ other Tumblr for Seduce Me (thegrandlibraryofyggdrasil) lore. In the Abyssal Plains women hold the power to rule because of Lilith and not men. However, The Demon Lord gained influence because his first wife wanted him to be her equal. Once the Demon Lord gained power, he craved it and destroyed anyone who got in his way. Meaning kingdoms ruled by queens and societies built around these kingdoms fell. Hence, to write Damien’s mother into a slave class (human, animal demon, etc.) ignores the effect of the Demon Lord’s greed. His greed destroyed demon culture, forcing beings of the Abyssal Plains to become more feral than before.

In Seduce Me Asks, people have questioned about Damien’s mother multiple times. Damien’s mother is known to be the second strongest mom out of the 5 mothers. Sex demons hold the highest rank in demon hierarchy thanks to Lilith. Secondly, the Demon Lord wants anything of power to be his or have it taken down. Damien’s mother was probably sold to the Demon Lord as a mind reader. But, she refused to help the Demon Lord so he became obsessed with breaking her. He would later call this obsession love and this would be the only form of love the boys would hear rumors about or witness (Damien’s mind reading). In essence, the Demon Lord shows he does not care for anyone besides himself. Ever decision he makes only benefits himself and no one else. He never cares to keep his word if the agreement does not make him more powerful. Even Diana acknowledges this and offers to marry the Demon Lord’s sons instead of the Demon Lord himself. The Demon Lord knows Diana is young and probably not as powerful as he or his wives. Thus Diana would not be accepted as a concubine, but she could still marry into the family to ensure the safety of her kingdom. She just had to find the brothers and find out why they did not return to the Abyssal Plains for so long (time difference between Demon and Human Realm). In the Seduce Me Asks, we know that some demons have access to spy and learn from humans. The Demon Lord probably spent years or months waiting for Diana to return, despite it only being a few days human time. As such the Demon Lord, attacked Lilith Castle at its weakest time and during a moment that Diana would notice. The Demon Lord knows how to make a statement, make others angry, and attack at an opportune moment. Give Diana, the Demon Lord, Damien, and Michaela Laws some credit for backstory points.

I came to add more from my Cinderella/ forced spouse with the demon bros:

When the brothers heard their father was marrying again they had low expectations. Every time their father re-marries, the women are either after his money or try to seduce them. So when his new wife moved in with mc, they thought this wasn't so bad.

Because of their only experience with women were his fathers ex-wives, they tried to get the upper hand by bullying mc and make sure they're never alone. They even try to bring other people over so they can get jealous and hopefully come tot them. But it never works.

Imagine the sickening joy they feel once they found out both parents were dead, and since Lucifer is the eldest he inherited everything and that included mc. For them, turning mc into their maid is spouse training, of course they also help them but they love it when they wear that maid outfit.

When they noticed how weird mc was acting those days, they let Mammon sneak into their room to find out, and imagine their anger once they find the aceeptance letter.

They refuse to let their future partner to get away from them

You don’t get to just leave. After everything they did? Keep you safe after your parents died, gave you chores and tasks to distract you and keep you from falling into grief, showed you hints of love when they thought you needed it most. You didn’t want it, but they know what’s best.

The letter is on the table when you walk in to eat dinner. Lucifer’s eyes stay on you the entire time as you freeze. Asmo watches you with loving interest and on the edge of his seat. Levi pouts and pokes at his food. Satan looks frightening, and the twins are just…staring at you.

“Do you care to tell us what this is?” Lucifer gestures to the letter. A college acceptance letter, after all this time. You hadn’t gone after graduation, intent on helping your mom and you keep the house together and money stable. But now that you’re here you can afford to leave. You want to leave.

“It’s…it’s nothing.” You reach for it but mammon snatches it up from the table. He’s holding it above his head making you jump for it. “C’mon sis, you can do better than that! Jump a little higher.” You were too busy trying to retrieve it to notice his eyes on your chest as it bounces. The others stare at your stomach, your thighs, your ass.

Your fingers grasp it just barely and mammon pulls. You hear it rip and see it almost in slow motion. You stare down in disbelief at the half in your hand. Mammon makes a noise of dismissal and takes it from you. “It’s whatever, it’s not like you were going anyway.”

He tosses the ruined letter on the table, where Levi, Beel, and Belphie had been messing around. Someone’s hand knocks a glass and a deep plum washes over the once white parchment. Your eyes must betray your feelings, because they all look at you now. “Wh-what do you mean I’m not going?”

Asmo stands and coos at you before wrapping his arms around you from behind. “It’s alright sweetie. You’ve adjusting so well to being our sister, we couldn’t take that from you. You’d be unhappy without us, it’s best that you stay here.”

Lucifer glares at him as he plants a kiss to your cheek before squishing his cheek into yours. “But…mom said-“ Belphie groans and you look at him as if he’d just stabbed you. “Nothing she said matters anymore, the house was left to us. It’s not like you have a job or money, so you can’t leave. That means we’re in charge.”

Satan sighs almost sympathetically. “We can’t have our wife leaving us now, when we’re all so broken. We need the softness you bring to the house now more than ever.” They’re all trying to mess with your head, and even if it doesn’t work they won’t stop.

Fairy tales (The dark versions)

This is my research on the original dark version of classic fairy tales.

Everyone was told the classic fairy tales of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Red riding hood and more when they were kids. At times, they were a bit dark sometimes they weren’t completely dark. But the versions we were told as kids wasn’t the proper version, here are those versions:

Aladdin- Uses his genies to grant power and success, which makes him feel worthy of the sultan’s daughter but she is betrothed to another. Aladdin then kidnaps her on her wedding day and the prince is tortured by Aladdin’s genie. The prince decides not to marry the princess and she marries Aladdin, who builds the sultan’s palace up. An evil sorcerer steals the lamp and teleports the palace with the princess inside far away. Aladdin tries to kill himself before remembering he had a tiny genie in his ring, which he uses to find his palace then commands the princess to seduce and kill the sorcerer.

Sleeping beauty- the princes rapes her during her sleep and she gives birth whilst asleep, only for her children to wake her up.

Pinocchio- When he runs away, the police believe the carpenter abuses him and Geppetto is arrested. When Pinocchio gets home, he gets angry and chucks a hammer than kills the cricket. He is later hung from a tree and suffocates.

The little mermaid- walking is pure agony and she has to marry the prince otherwise she will turn into sea foam. The prince falls in love with another woman, which causes her to have to kill him to gain her tail back. All the other mermaids trade their hair for a dagger to help the little mermaid. But she doesn’t and turns into sea foam.

The frog prince- instead of a kiss, the princess cuts his head off to turn him back into a human.

Cinderella- the first ugly sister cuts her toes off and the second sister cuts off her heel to fit into the slipper. As punishment, their eyes are plucked out by birds.

Snow white and the seven dwarfs- the evil queen has to put on red hot metal shoes and dance till she died at Snow White’s wedding.

Mulan- after returning from the war: her father is dead, her mother remarried and the khan wants her to be his concubine. She ends up killing herself.

Red riding hood- the wolf cuts the grandmother into chunks and puts it into a pie that red eats. The wolf then gets red to strip naked, burn her clothes and get into the bed with the wolf before being eaten.

Hansel and Gretel- the witch is married to the devil and the children slit their throats.

Rumpelstiltskin- After losing, he rips himself in half!

The pied piper- When he wasn’t paid, he used his flute to take all the children from the town. Some stories say he took them to a cave and let them all go when he was paid, another version talks about the piper making the kids drown themselves.

Beauty and the beast- it ends with the beast dying and Belle grieving

Goldilocks and the three bears- they eat her

Bluebeard- his wife finds a room full of his ex-wives’ bodies on hooks.

Rapunzel- After the prince is blinded, he never finds Rapunzel.

These are more like legends than fairy tales but are still pretty dark.

Botan Dōrō- A widowed samurai meets and falls in love with a woman named Otsuyu. When someone spies on them, they discover Osuyu is actually a skeleton. Despite all the warnings, the samurai follows her into a grave in a temple. The next day, he is found dead intertwined in the skeleton’s arms.

The headless horseman- A Hessian Artilleryman was decapitated by an American cannonball. He was quickly buried by his comrades and legend has it, he rides in the night in search of his lost head.

Jasy Jatere: God of the Siesta- A child that wanders the street in search of children who would rather play than nap. Some variations depict him as a small man who takes the children prisoner, pluck out their eyes so they can not find their way home.

La Llorona- Was once a beautiful woman named Maria, whose husband left her (some say for a younger woman) which caused her to drown her own children in rage. Feeling remorse she drowned herself, hoping to reverse her sin instead she is cursed to walk across riverbanks and drown more children. Hearing her cries means your next to meet this terrible fate.

Terracotta army- in 1974, a group of seven farmers unearthed a series of 8,000 Terracotta soldiers along side a tomb. The farmers soon met their fate, three out of the seven were painfully killed and all their homes and land were destroyed. Some believed this was due to a curse given by whatever was in that tomb.

Deer woman- a native american creature that is associated with love and fertility. The spirit is know to seduce men and either leave them to die or waste away longing.

Hukai’po- A hawaiian legend of ghosts that reenact old battles, people are risked to be injured if they get in the way but if they show proper respect then they will be spared.

These tales could be helpful for my FMP as I could take inspiration from them and see how I could interrupt them in my game. This has been done similarly but shown them in a modern setting, as I want to keep them in a fantasy setting.
