20/100 days of productivity
It’s holiday week in Brazil! My classes will return in 25/04, so I’ll try to rest during the week. Today I studied with a friend inside the secondhand bookstore she works and then I went to my best friend’s house to study a little more and now we are just vibing together lol
Good weekend and holidays to all!

Papercraft Sakura! I based her dress on her play costume from the second Cardcaptor Sakura movie. Picking a specific outfit was hard, because all her clothes are so nicely designed - but y’all know me; I’m always excited to use pink. 🌸
Her hair color was also tricky to choose, because it varies so much between adaptations! In the end I skewed more toward the very light brown from the manga and Clear Card anime, but added a few areas of slightly darker brown as a nod to the older series.
This papercraft artwork was part of my holiday sale! It has sold now, but there are a bunch of other papercraft offerings up for grabs. Take a look if you’d like to snag some artwork, my lovelies!

This is the kind of bookstore that gives me anxiety because there are books EVERYWHERE and I feel like it's all gonna come down on me. However, there were quite a few gems in there so I'd recommend it for secondhand books and the aesthetic 👌
Scroll for Maddie in the wild bookstore

if y'all were in my city, I would LOVE to drag you guys out on a girls' day out, in which we do the following:
visit my favourite bakery and eat lovely sweet things on the second floor (which is less busy) and, as the dorm people call it, yap the afternoon away
go to the convenience store behind the bakery and buy snacks and drinks to sneak into the theatre
check in and watch The Holdovers together (with aforementioned snacks) downtown
it'll be dark out when the movie ends, so we can take the bus back to my neighbourhood and discuss our thoughts on the movie as we travel
I make instant noodles for you when we get home and we eat in my dorm room sitting cross-legged in our socks and talk until 3 in the morning. Possibly there is another bakery/bubble tea/McDonald's run at an unearthly hour, or a night walk around my campus

| Summer 2023, Valencia, España
Throwback to Summer last year when we found this interesting secondhand bookstore in Valencia, Spain. It's called El Club de Los Libros Libres. The rule is simple, bring as many books you want then exchange for the same amount of "new" books you want. It's a cute idea to recycle and give new life to these old books.
There are multiple languages aside from Spanish and Valencian, such as Italian, German, and French. I found some Russian books too.
If you are in Valencia, perhaps take a quick stop. It's located very close to Platja de la Malva-Rosa.

k saw these comparisons on Twitter so I'm cribbing a lil here to be clear but I'm not saying that the Bride special edition cover... and to be clear, Bride IS a different book, it is not as dark or as carnal as Hunger (though it does have darkness and it is pretty carnal at points, it's just that it can't really beat Lachlain chasing Emma down in the woods and making her ride his face in the mud before he mounts her from behind in literal beast mode) but like...
These are both books about alpha werewolves forcibly paired with seemingly weak and fragile vampire heroines they consider the enemy, with mating bond scent stuff, and while I personally find the Kresley werewolves to be much more WEREWOLFY, the Bride werewolves are arguable more wolfy, because they do actually transform into wolves and have knotting
so I just need to know how we went from one flavor to the other.
people of the jury, would you ever guess that the second book pictured has the dialogue "you smell like you just came; I need to eat you out"? on the other hand, does the dialogue "do not run from one such as me; you will not get away and we like it" fit the first cover? because I think it does
(and also, I will repeat, we all have our opinions, but the level of detail that went into these two covers just can't be compared; Leni literally did the same face on the guy on the Next of Kin cover, whereas you can literally see homeboy's fingers digging into her flesh in Hunger, and the mood is conveyed PERFECTLY)
