Yuu, Lilia, Silver and Sebek are lost in a sea of people, trying to find Malleus.

Sebek: WAKA SAMA!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Silver: Shouting that won’t solve our problem…

Yuu: I’ve got a better idea!

*Yuu proceeds to inhale and then exhale. They then shout at the top of their lungs*

Yuu: YUU SUCKS!!!!!!

Malleus then comes rushing up to them

Malleus: WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY DEAR-?!?

Malleus: Oh! Hello Child of Man 🙂

Lilia: *Smiling*

For Bat Appreciation Day:

Imagine being Lilia Vanrouge, a bat fae who was demeaned repeatedly. Told he was the lowest of the low and then those closest to him find out about this day?

Malleus would gift Lilia the roses he planted in his personal garden. Something grown with love and care by him. Tended by him alone and no one else. It would represent the love he has for Lilia. The one who raised him and loves him with the same way as any father would. Malleus would kiss Lilia on the forehead as Lilia has done many times on top of his scales.

Silver who would buy him a video game they both can play together. Late nights game days with snacks and drinks are some of his favorite times with the warmth at his side that would make him gradually fall asleep. Silver would kiss his eyes. Always hoping for happiness for his father as he has always brought him.

Sebek would get him cute mugs or shirts with puns on them. He knows how much Lilia loves to joke around and he’s one to always make others laugh with his antics. Sebek would kiss him on the cheek while flustered. He recalls the many times Lilia would do it to him as a kid just to see his reaction.

Your gift to Lilia was a handmade scarf. Lilia loves flying in the late night sky and sitting on the rooftops watching the moon and stars. You wanted to give him a gift that would keep him warm. A reminder that he was loved constantly as he reflected on his life. You would kiss him on the lips because that smile of his is just too tempting not to.

azul

nothing. absolutely nothing. don't get him wrong, there are many things that you do to get him all flushed and embarrassed like the sweet cherry tomato you pop in your mouth. it's just that azul has never loved someone so much before, there is no way he can have a favourite, when you as a whole is his favourite thing in the entire world.

the way your eyelashes flutter when you blink; the slow motion of your chest heaving up and down— he finds all of them so loveable. he's on his knees for you, please be merciful, jade and floyd will never let him see the end of it. he already knows how shamefully he acts when he's around you, the inexplainable desire to want to see you gasp in surprise, impressed with whatever new thing azul wanted to show off. give him a kiss after and watch him freeze and heat up.

ruggie

oddly enough, what gets him flustered about you is when he does something. ruggie is someone who values his hard work and sufficiency. because of this, he doesn’t believe people do favors simply because of their nature. like him, he thinks everyone has a motive. somehow, that mindset is slowly starting to alter.

it wasn't much to begin with— he'd sometimes find himself swiping a little extra than usual, risking the possibility of being caught because he stole more than he should. for some reason, that little extra amount wasn't for himself as a cheeky reward, no. it was actually for you.

he'd casually hand some food to you on his way and sometimes, if he doesn't manage to get enough for the both of you, he'd always split it half if possible, much to his classmate's horror. (ruggie bucchi? THE ruggie bucchi?? sharing??? is this heaven????)

at a point, he realized what he was doing. it's completely out of character for him, what in the world was he thinking? but he was too deep now, he couldn't seem to live day by day without giving you a little gift at least once anymore.

eventually, ruggie went from nonchalantly giving you half of his donuts or letting you copy some of his work that you forgot to do to instead turning a deep hue of multiple reds (in the span of 0.2 seconds!) as he sheepishly handed you things. oh well, there's no turning back now.

sebek

he’d always found it off putting on how this magically gifted mother ever found herself in love with his average father, who was much more soft spoken and loving. He couldn’t seem to fully grasp how his mother ever saw any appeal in his father.

it was a ridiculous notion. someone as talented as her stooping for someone as low as him?! that's crazy! don't worry, sebek loves his father very much. but he's also strongly opinionated.

for someone who claims his opinions and ideals hardly change, they seem to sway as easily as they came when you entered his life. you were much sweeter, kinder and caring than sebek could ever be. he was hardly a spec of dust in your presence. maybe that's what tugged at his heart. you were average. there was nothing inherently special about you, just a normal human. to him, you were his god.

sometimes, when you cage his fingers against yours, lean your head against his shoulder and smile, sebek starts to wonder what has ever had happen for this to ever happen.

sebek is a lot of things. he's human, he's fae, he's a wizard and he's yours. he flushes in embarassment when he thinks about this. what did you do to him for him to be so hopeless around you? he turns red when he thinks about how easily you managed to change him.

Sebek's eyes

Being a guard of Malleus Draconia is no simple task. It demands strength, agility, skill, courage. Always vigilant, one must anticipate danger even before it looms on the horizon. And Sebek has always excelled in this. His eyes hold an intensity that few can match - always alert, scanning the horizon, they miss nothing.

Which is why… he looks like he’s angry most of the time.

“What’s wrong, Sebek?”

“Sebek, is something the matter?”

“Wow, dude, you seem mad.”

“Let’s not bother him

he looks so intimidating…”

...is what he normally hears. Yet, it is merely his face! His gaze - so intense and penetrating - is simply the sign of never-ending vigilance for the young Lord's safety!

But in the presence of Malleus himself, Sebek's eyes transform. They light up like sunshine, becoming pools of devotion and admiration. His pupils dilate so wide it's astonishing (just as Grim’s do when he sees tuna). Eyes never lie - you can see how dedicated he is to his king. And if you still have doubts, he will loudly remind you about it.

Then he retreats to his quiet hobby - reading. That’s when his gaze softens. His eyes carefully trace the lines of text, occasionally narrowing in contemplation. Sometimes he looks up, fingers touching his chin, lost in thought for a few seconds. The dim light of his room casts a greenish hue, and his eyes catch this light, gleaming with curiosity.

Once you found him nodding off over a book. He looked so soft and peaceful yet slightly weary. You admired his hard-working nature and always supported him, so it was a pleasure to see him resting. Unable to resist, you softly kissed his eyelids, lighter than a feather. The tender gesture awakened him.

He opened his eyes, meeting yours, and you were once again captivated. His eyes were truly mesmerizing - sharp pupils and a beautiful blend of green and yellow gave them an exotic, crocodile-like appearance. You always thought they reflected both the mystery of the fae’s nature and the depth of his thundering soul.

Glancing around briefly to ensure there was no danger, he returned his gaze to you, softening. A view nobody but you could see. His eyes were full of love and gratefulness. Because when you looked at him, he felt seen. Not like in Malleus' presence, or not like when winning another equestrian competition. You saw all of him: his strengths and vulnerabilities, his hardships, his struggles, his fears, his doubts... and yet you kept looking at him. No matter what.

And he yearned to return your gaze with equal fervor, with all his passion, and with all his soul - he would commit fully, for he is the knight of Malleus Draconia!

"Rest assured, dear human," he proclaims, cheeks flushed.

Preoccupied, tired, joyful, tender - his gaze belongs to you.
