THIS was my favorite thing at Sea World as a little girl. I was completely obsessed with it. Imagine a huge room set up like a theatre in the round and you sat on graduated steps. In the center, like a classic Sunken Living Room, is a huge pool of water. The lights go out and there are projections and lit fountains and music and it is all so dynamic. This was long before the sophistication of Fantasmic and the majesty of the Bellagio fountains. My memories of it take on an incredibly surreal and dream-like cast.
Listen to me. Rollercoasters are fun, we all know that. And yeah, it sucks when we can't go on a rollercoaster we like.
But if you have a little kid who very clearly does not want to go on, DON'T FORCE THEM ON. It can be a very traumatic experience for that kid, and I can assure you nobody else likes to hear your kid crying. It ruins the experience for a lot of us willing riders and just makes you look like a shitty parent.
Be considerate to your child and other riders. Stop forcing your kids on rides they do not want to go on.
I just saw someone in a post about the abuse of Orcas in the entretainment industry comment “Poor gentle giant” as if beliving they both can and should be gentle and sweet isnt the direct root of the problem.
I support, any Orca and Dolphins right to be an absolute cunt and you should too.
