I’ve had an Enchanted au in mind for a bit but I’ve recently been able to actually draw it digitally recently. And also because I watched Disenchanted and was reminded how much I enjoy the original

Partially inspired by paper-lilypie’s CCRT, and also because I couldn’t stop imagining sun singing “How Does She Know” song

More about the au below cause I rambled more than I planned and some is just brainstorming:

In this, Sun and Moon would be separate in the Andalasia (or whatever the fantasy fictional world would be called in this au) but can still fuse together (?) to be one. Though irl they would take an appearance more similar to biblically accurate daycare attendant, and would have the same rules (dark = moon, light = sun). Eclipse wouldn’t be a different person in this au

Though from there, who else would be who baffles me. At best I will probably go with freddy as prince edward, because if_glammike? -> parent who could be the villain AKA William Afton is able to be the villain here.

But who’s Nancy? Idk vanessa? Probably wouldn’t work considering who she’d subsequently be paired up with. (but who knows maybe that’s a ship) Any of the glamrocks? Now we are just thinking in matters of what is the most preferable ship I think.

Nathaniel (the servant)? Probably Vanessa actually..

The CHILD? Will likely be an oc, mayyybeee gregory...?

Will I make more for this au? Probably depends on how popular this au is lol, though I do have a little bit more art planned for this

which should I focus more on first?

I have like...6 aus and I want to give them allllll some more attention

but I need to choose which to double down on actually figuring stuff out for (lore, storyline, Canon divergence, who's who)

and that'll mean more content of one for a bit be it doods, drabbles, rambles, and whatnot over the others

I'll likely still do random other stuff too and JDCAU will happen no matter what cause it's my og one XD

But imma leave it up to y'all for which one I focus on for the next while (may be a week or a few weeks before I switch!)

Hunchback AU: Gather ‘Round! Clopin’s About to Tell A Story!

Or, in another words, it’s time to reveal who gets to play the role of Clopin. And, give his own canon backstory, this guy was the best choice..

Sun’s ready to perform, and I’m ready to share some extra info while he does.

*The puppet and him can change colors depends on which mode he needs to be in. The puppet is reversible while Sun-Pin has his usual “spin the head” trick from SB.

*Don’t worry, he’s got his Moon form under control here. Probably helps that he’s back to performing for kids instead of babysitting them. Really eased his circuits both ways.

*I can imagine him set up in this little puppet show stand that he tells his stories in. It looks kind of like the Daycare, but much more medieval and theatrical.

*Either those stories cost a quarter because Fazbear’s a greedy pain in the neck or it became free to view a while ago.

*Oh, and uh, adding to that first fact: One clear idea for a Bells of Notre Dame animatic in my head is having Sun turning into Moon at one key point. Since I don’t have time to sketch this at the moment, here’s what I have in mind in text form.

Sun: It is a tale. A tale of a man..

Sun, while his head spins and his colors change: And a monster.

Then either he stays as Moon until the final part or he switches again off-camera for the Archdeacon intro. I’d have to think about it more.

*He’s got more to his part of the story, but that’s another tale for another day. In the meantime, have fun with “Sun-Pin”! I’ve got to go sort out a story of my own. Maybe I’ll have the basics down next AU post, maybe not. We’ll see.

5 + 1 Fic Friday Roundup: Uplifting Women

Some fics revolving around women (and one man in a woman’s body) who lift their family/community/world up. May is the month of Mental Health Awareness after all - though I went for tech uplift instead of creating an uplifting atmosphere via emotional labor (though there is some of that in some of these as well).

1. Down the Rabbit Hole to Westeros (AO3) - A SI into Selyse Florent, later Selyse Baratheon. Refusing this time around to be vexed by a mustache, lack of indoor plumbing, and no more guacamole in favor of keeping her eyes on the prize: Surviving the upcoming Long Night and not letting Melisandre go Full Melisandre.

2. Compass of thy Soul (FF / AO3) - Being reborn into the Uchiha clan during the Warring Clans Era is surprisingly idyllic, so long as you don't mind hard work and are too young to know any of the people who are actually dying. But innocence never lasts, and trying to help family stay alive is a road strewn with a surprising number of pitfalls and last-minute diversions. [SI-OC. Fluff, politics, fix-it. No Aliens.]

3. Sanitize (FF / AO3) - Basic medicine and sanitation are simple. During the Warring Clans era, they become revolutionary. [OC-Insert]

4. Cold Winds Blowing (SB) - Maia, a young woman without much direction in life, awakes in the snows of the True North beyond the Wall in the year 295 After Conquest. Equipped with a power she barely understands, the Celestial Forge and the endless potential it represents, she struggles to find her own path on the foreign world of Planetos. Will she be wrapped up in the schemes of the great players? Can the best of intentions truly bear out good results, or are they a mere hindrance to true power?

5. Taylor on the Edge of Forever (SB) - A Worm AU/Star Trek AU where Taylor Hebert has alt powers related to having been in the Star Trek future before being returned to her teenage self in Brockton Bay.

Bonus: Coin and Conformity (SB / AO3) - A man wakes up one day to find that he isn't in his apartment, isn't in his own body, and isn't even on Earth anymore. The language, the geography, the culture, the stars, and even the technology level are all different. Even worse, in this backwards medieval society he had found himself in, he woke up in the body of a woman. A woman who had just given birth to her first child, a son.
