"Bin Salman’s interview with Fox News was supposed to take place in Jeddah. However, Bin Salman changed his mind and moved it to an island in NEOM so that he could do the walk he performed in the interview and make NEOM an important part of the interview. Bin Salman was also supposed to answer in Arabic. But after reviewing the questions and rehearsing the answers in English, he was reassured that replying in English was the best way to go.
The interview was conducted based on a contract that stipulated the following:
“- Bin Salman determines the questions and the follow-up questions.
“- The interviewer only reads the questions without interrupting and does not ask any follow-up questions.
“- The interviewer praises and positively comments on Bin Salman before the interview, between the questions, and after the interview.
“- The recording and editing of the interview are conducted by the Palace’s team, without the channel being allowed to do its own recording.
“- In exchange, Fox News receives a massive sum of money (I did not receive the exact number, but it exceeds $100 million).
“- The interviewer gets an independent fee.
It is worth mentioning that Fox News has been going through a difficult financial crisis after a series of losses it suffered, the biggest of which followed the issuance of a judicial sentence ordering it to pay around $1 billion to Dominion, which Fox News slandered and accused of using its machines to rig the 2020 elections in Biden’s favor. So, it needs to be saved by this wasteful man who desperately needs to mend his reputation.
The purpose of this interview, whose questions and answers were determined by the Palace, is firstly to promote Bin Salman among the American public, and secondly to respond to all the criticisms published against Bin Salman in the American press, the last of which was regarding the execution of Sheikh Saeed al-Ghamdi’s brother. No one in the American media paid any attention to the interview, noting that Fox News did not air it on its main channel, but rather on a secondary channel. PM Modi holds talks with Saudi Crown Prince
The Saudi leader said the announcements made at the summit will benefit the world. The overall relations between the two countries have witnessed a significant upward trajectory in the last few years.
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held wide-ranging talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, focussing on shoring up bilateral trade and defence ties.
Bin Salman is currently on a State visit to India following end of the G20 Summit.
Ahead of the talks, the Crown Prince was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“I am very glad to be here in India. I want to congratulate India for the G20 Summit,��� Bin Salman told reporters after the ceremonial welcome.
The Saudi leader said the announcements made at the summit will benefit the world.
“We will work together to create a great future for both countries,” he said. Saudi Arabia is one of India’s key strategic partners in the Middle East.
The overall relations between the two countries have witnessed a significant upward trajectory in the last few years. The two sides have also been focusing on strengthening their defence and security partnership.
The then Chief of Army Staff Gen MM Naravane visited Saudi Arabia in December 2020 in the first-ever visit by the head of the 1. 3 million-strong Army to the important Gulf nation.
Since then, there have been a series of visits of high-ranking military officials between the two sides.
