"Let me see, Neesh," Sasha leaned forward to hold Anetra's face as the latter tried to avoid her scrutinizing gaze.
She was still wearing her stage outfit, only covering herself with a robe - she was too worried about the injury on her boyfriend's face to care.
"I'm fine, honest," he replied, barely sounding any more convincing than a child hiding something from their mother.
"Anetra, baby," she tried again in a softer tone.
That seemed to do the trick as Anetra let her take a better look.
There was a small cut just below his eyebrow, next to the scar she had always loved. Some bruising was starting to appear around his eye.
"Some dude..." he started, his voice small, as if he was embarrassed, "A drunk dude kept insulting you after you went off-stage, he just... wouldn't shut up," he continued, "I just told him to cut the bullshit off and this was his reply".
He gestured to his injured eye, "Punched him back... I think I broke his nose? I don't know, Marsh got him escorted off before it escalated further, and they sent me to you to 'cool off'".
There was a slight pause before he spoke up again, "I'm sorry".
"Baby..." Sasha managed to let out before holding him closer, she couldn't fathom the thought of her Anetra getting hurt to defend her, "You have nothing to be sorry for, got it?"
