Personal Salt Goblin Headcanon:

Spilling salt is considered bad luck among humans. What if spilled grains of salt is how salt goblins happen. I know they are nicknamed that because they are the size of a salt shaker but what if someone knocking over the salt on the material plane causes a bunch of them to pop out of the ground like daisies out of little grains of seed and then they make a mess out of your house breaking things and spreading filth.

TL;DR: Spilling salt is considered unlucky because it makes Salt Goblins happen.

I have filled my sketchbook faster in the last few weeks than I have in YEARS. Read a few fics involving Fey Babies being born in a flower bud and just UGH MY HEART. It’s a [Flower] Bud Bear!

I based Baby’s design on Blupees from Breath of the Wild, and Grogu/Baby Yoda. I think it’s the ears. And salt goblins would ABSOLUTELY take credit for their first word.

Salt Goblins only living an average of 6 hours is not entirely true. They can live for many many years, about as long as any other fae, they just have the highest mortality rate amongst the other members of the Goblin Court. They're a reverse Spiders Georg.
