The Guardian of Negativity The King of Negativity. Nightmare had been the most powerful and menacing deity among the Out!Codes and the greatest threat to the multiverse for a very, very long time. Ever since the fall of DreamTale, he has been making quite the reputation for himself. Mischievous, slanderous, menacing, and sadistic. Nobody comes closer to a true evil than he does.

That is until the Halving happened. Half of the negativity disappears from the multiverse, leaving him with just half of his prime power. Enraged, Nightmare confronted Error who he thought was the perpetrator. He lost the battle for the first time in his life, and that shattered his view of the invincible King of Negativity that he was. He realized now that a new era has begun, and he is not the one pulling the strings this time...

He not only lost to Error, but he was also surprised and shocked to see how powerful his nemesis, Dream, had become. He almost lost to him if it weren't for Frisk's intervention. Ashamed by his failures back-to-back, Nightmare retreated into his domain in the meantime. If things are to change... then so must he.

Eddie falls asleep live-streaming from bed again but this time, he doesn’t even have his phone propped up. Anybody tuning in will have a view of the ceiling from where his phone is laying on his chest.

An hour and a half after Eddie falls asleep, anybody still watching can hear Steve murmur, “Babe. Ed. Eddie, wake up.”

The camera shifts as Eddie moves and you can hear a gasped, “Huh?”

“You were having a nightmare,” Steve told him and gets a tiny ‘yeah, fuck’ in return. Steve’s voice is louder so he must’ve gotten closer before he asks, “Do you remember it?”

“Yeah, uh. Yeah, it was about Chrissy.”

“Oh,” Steve says. “Do you want me to play some music?”

There’s some movement as Eddie rolls onto his side to look at Steve, “Not really.”

“Okay,” He nods. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“Not- not right now.”

Steve hums before asking, “You know you’re safe though? He’s gone.”

There’s a bit of a smile in Eddie’s voice, “I know.”

“Not gonna let anything happen to you.”

“I know.”

Eddie post a Tiktok where he’s laying on the floor with his head propped up by the couch. He looks deep in thought and then raise the camera so you can see Steve and Robin asleep on the couch. The camera comes back down and he asks, “Why did Buckley come over to my house to take a nap?”

Eddie‘s about to say something else but he hears something behind him. He sits up and turns the camera around, catching on film Steve mumble in his sleep ‘morons’ and then Robin repeat him in her sleep. Eddie sounds incredulous when he says, “They have the same dreams???”
