I remember reading harekon before and absolutely hating it because I guess I misinterpreted the story and ryuus character? so like all the stuff about ryuu being arrogant and not really giving af abt woman and being manipulative and I guess my own prejudice at the time about polyamory/polygamy had got in the way so I never ended up getting past the first few chapters and missed out on ryuu not being that way at all. tbh I thought he was manipulating her with her debt? as if she owed him marriage and money because he paid off her debt so I thought it was gonna be some manipulative bullshit relationship between koharu and him but as I reread it and finally actually read through (with those prejudice opinions no longer there) I’ve come to realize that it’s really a beautiful story and that ryuu is not who I thought he was. the relationship between those 4 now 3 is beautiful and how they go about it is amazing I wish there was more healthy like stories mangas etc on polyamory/polygamy because it’s very admirable and beautiful overall they have such a beautiful family and it’s dynamic. BUT I do think that ryuu is a little sleazy im ngl likee I kinda liked the first few chapters where he was breaking koharu in and opening her up and teaching her new things being genuine with her etc and seeing all 4 of them come together as a family and just seeing yknow good genuine moments between them now later on in the chapters without madoka it’s like a bunch of “alright need a new wife” talk and all this other stuff and like yknow they have there moments or whatever but i definitely preferred it more when it felt complete? and whole? and was more conversation other than finding a replacement wife for madoka like it just kinda seems like ryuu is like idk kinda sleazy and flirty now without madoka and it’s a little bleh I just kinda missed those genuine moments or how it was in the beginning when haru was joining there relationship and everything
