Hundreds of people have said it before me, but it's really so powerful Donna's first WILLING adventure with the Doctor is an insanely emotionally moving one with a very deep message that arose from her compassion (The Fires Of Pompeii)
Even if you don't know Catherine Tate is known for her wit and comedy, Donna herself is introduced as a very comical character. Her theme is comical, her actions and sass is meant to be read as comical and both Runaway Bride and Partners In Crime have a totally different narrative structure because of it. Like, both episodes having a lot of humour based around an unexpected scenario forcing both to improvise in funny and chaotic DIY ways.
Tumblr media
When you first watch these two episodes you have no reason to believe their run together is going to be anything else! So it was such a brilliant decision to have the episode right after she joins the Doctor be one in which SHE'S pushing a moral dilemma onto the Doctor. To be all fun and games until she learns people are going to die and the Doctor plans to do nothing about it. To then also KEEP on pushing the subject DESPITE the Doctor, this alien she at this point still knows very little about, speaking about the world and time with a sense of authority like there Truly Really is nothing they could do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that the character who's introduced to us as the comic relief IMMEDIATELY turns around and tells the Doctor he's guilty of the death of a teenager and everyone around him if he refuses to help at all... That's such a powerful move.

Can I get a mafia yoongi Drabble where they are forced to get married. But at the last second the reader runs away and thinks the coast is clear but yoongi finds her and smut ensues??
Nah because I actually had a lot of fun writing this one 😭😭 I also tried writing with “Y/N” so let me know if you like it!
Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of smut (not completely tho), slight angst in a way??, runaway bride 🏃‍♀️👰‍♀️, kinda yandere vibes
The rain pounded against the windows of the small church as Y/N stood at the altar, her heart racing with fear and uncertainty. She couldn't believe this was happening. She was being forced to marry one of the most feared mafia leaders in the country, Min Yoongi.
She had always known about Yoongi and his infamous reputation in the underworld, but she never thought she would be caught up in it. Her father, who was deeply in debt to Yoongi, had made a deal with him to marry Y/N in order to clear his debts.
Y/N's hands were shaking as she held onto her bouquet of white roses, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. But she knew deep down that there was no way out. She was trapped in this marriage and there was nothing she could do about it.
As the priest began the ceremony, Y/N's eyes darted around the room, searching for any possible way out. But her hopes were dashed as she saw Yoongi's men stationed at every exit, guns at the ready.
'Y/N, do you take Min Yoongi as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?' the priest asked, his voice echoing in the quiet church.
Y/N's heart was pounding in her chest as she looked at the man standing before her, his dark eyes filled with a mix of determination and anger. She knew she had no choice but to say yes.
'I-I do,' she stuttered, her voice barely audible.
'Yoongi, do you take Y/N as your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?' the priest asked, turning to face Yoongi.
Yoongi's gaze never left Y/N's as he answered, 'I do.'
The priest pronounced them husband and wife, and Yoongi wasted no time in pulling Y/N into a searing kiss. Y/N tried to pull away, but Yoongi's grip on her was too strong. She could feel his anger and frustration through the roughness of his kiss.
As they pulled away, Y/N's mind was racing with thoughts of escape. She needed to get out of here, before it was too late. But before she could make a move, Yoongi's voice cut through her thoughts.
'Let's go home, Mrs. Min,' he said, a smirk playing on his lips.
Y/N's heart dropped at the sound of those words. She was now officially married to one of the most dangerous men in the country, and there was no turning back.
As they arrived at Yoongi's luxurious mansion, Y/N was greeted by a group of women who were to be her new servants. They showed her to her room, which was more like a prison cell. It had no windows and only one door, which she knew was guarded at all times.
Y/N couldn't believe the situation she was in. She was trapped in a loveless marriage to a man she barely knew, and she had no way out. But she refused to give up. She would find a way to escape, no matter what it took.
As the days went by, Y/N tried to make the best of her situation. She would often find Yoongi in his study, surrounded by his men, discussing business. She could see the ruthless side of him during those meetings, and it only made her fear him more.
But as the nights went by, Y/N found herself drawn to Yoongi's bedroom. She couldn't explain the pull she felt towards him, but she knew she needed him. She needed to feel something other than fear and resentment.
One night, as she lay in her bed, she heard noises coming from Yoongi's room. She couldn't resist the urge to see what was happening, so she quietly made her way to his room and peeked through the slightly open door.
Her breath caught in her throat as she saw Yoongi with another woman, his hands roaming her body as they kissed passionately. Y/N's heart shattered at the sight, but she couldn't look away.
Suddenly, Yoongi's eyes snapped open and he caught sight of Y/N standing in the doorway. Without a word, he pulled the woman off of him and stormed towards Y/N.
'What are you doing here?' he growled, his eyes blazing with anger.
'I-I heard noises and I-I wanted to see what was happening,' Y/N stuttered, trying to keep her voice steady.
'Get out,' Yoongi spat, his hand grabbing Y/N's arm and pushing her out of the room, slamming the door shut behind her.
Y/N couldn't hold back her tears as she made her way back to her room. She couldn't believe that Yoongi was already cheating on her, just days after their forced marriage. She felt so alone and trapped, with no one to turn to.
But little did she know, Yoongi was also feeling trapped. He didn't want this marriage any more than she did, but he had no choice. He needed to maintain his reputation and keeping Y/N as his wife was the only way to do that.
As the days went by, Y/N couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. She could feel Yoongi's gaze on her at all times, and it only made her more anxious. She knew she needed to get out of here, before it was too late.
One night, as she lay in bed, she heard a noise outside her room. She cautiously got up and made her way to the door, hoping it was someone who could help her escape.
But as she opened the door, she was met with darkness. Suddenly, a strong hand grabbed her from behind and a cloth was placed over her mouth. She tried to scream, but the cloth muffled her voice. Before she could fight back, she fell into a deep sleep.
When she woke up, she found herself in a small cabin in the middle of nowhere. She looked around, confused and disoriented, until she saw Yoongi sitting in a chair across from her, a cold expression on his face.
'What is this place?' Y/N asked, her voice trembling with fear.
'It's a safe house,' Yoongi answered, his voice devoid of any emotion.
'Why am I here?' Y/N asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
'Because you tried to run away. I can't have my wife trying to escape,' Yoongi said, his eyes never leaving Y/N's.
Y/N's heart dropped at the mention of her forced marriage. She couldn't believe that she was still stuck in this situation.
'Please, just let me go. I won't tell anyone, I promise,' Y/N pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
'I can't do that, Y/N. You know too much about me and my business. I can't risk you going to the authorities,' Yoongi said, his voice cold and calculated.
Y/N's heart shattered at his words. She was just a pawn in his game, a means to maintain his power and control. She felt so helpless and alone.
But as the days went by, Y/N and Yoongi's relationship began to change. They started talking more and slowly, Y/N began to see a different side of Yoongi. He wasn't just a ruthless mafia leader, he was also a man who had been forced into this life, just like her.
One night, as they sat by the fire, Yoongi reached out and took Y/N's hand in his. She looked at him, surprised by his sudden gesture.
'I know this isn't the ideal situation, Y/N. But I want you to know that I won't hurt you. I never wanted this marriage, but I promise to protect you and keep you safe,' Yoongi said, his voice sincere.
Y/N's heart melted at his words. She never thought she would find any sort of comfort in this situation, but Yoongi's words gave her a glimmer of hope.
As they sat there, holding hands and talking, their conversation turned into something more. Yoongi's lips were on hers, and she couldn't resist him any longer. She needed this, she needed to feel something other than fear and resentment.
Their kiss turned into something more passionate and intense, and before they knew it, they were making love on the floor of the cabin. Their bodies moved in perfect synchronization, their moans filling the small space.
As they lay there, tangled in each other's arms, Y/N couldn't believe what had just happened. She had just made love to her forced husband, the man she was supposed to fear and hate.
But as Yoongi held her close, she couldn't deny the feelings she had for him. She knew that this was wrong and that she should hate him, but she couldn't. She was falling for him, and there was no turning back.
From that day on, Y/N and Yoongi's relationship changed. They were no longer just a forced couple, but two people who had found solace and love in the most unexpected situation.
As they returned to the mansion, Y/N knew that things would be different from now on. She was no longer a prisoner in this marriage, but a willing partner to the man she loved.
And as they walked through the door, hand in hand, Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn of events. She had found love in the most unlikely of places, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Something Blue
Warnings: I assume none, but if you notice something, let me know! Light angst romance, basically. Heavily based on/ inspired by VOILÀ - Something blue.
The wind is harsh against Villain’s face, prickling his skin with each cold blow. The crisp air bites into his lungs, filling them alongside the deep-settled tightness. When Villain reaches the central square, the sun is high in the sky, but the air lacks the warmth expected from a spring day. She hates it when the noons are this chilly.
The square is already full to the brim, a good half of the city there to witness Hero’s wedding. She’s always been a crowd favourite, and the groom being the mayor’s son only brought more publicity to the event. And Villain… Villain would never be good enough. He hisses at the annoying voice in the back of his head to quiet. The same voice that prompted him to leave before she could, to let her go before he got hurt. He takes in the grandeur of the cathedral, its enormous oak doors decorated with flower arrangements. It looks magnificent. She hates big weddings and magnolias.
It doesn’t take much time to round the square and sneak into the cathedral through a back door. The reality of it all seems to hit Villain much harder once he steps inside. Coming here today was a bad idea. Villain’s fingers curl into fists, his breathing coming out in frantic huffs as he climbs the stairs. A part of him considers turning around right this instant, but he doesn’t allow himself to. Not today. He won’t be a coward again.
He walks past several ajar doors before coming to a halt in front of the only closed one. With a deep breath, Villain pushes it open. Hero is standing in front of a full-length mirror, and she looks stunning. His breath hitches in his throat, every single thought leaving his mind the second his eyes lock onto her form. She doesn’t seem to notice him yet, so he shuts the door behind his back, careful not to make any noise as he steps closer. She keeps fidgeting with the hair framing her face in soft brown waves. She hates having her hair up.
Villain stops behind her, his mind racing. He rakes a hand through his hair, brushing the dark strands back from his forehead, and before his brain can comprehend what he’s doing, his arm wraps around her middle, pulling her back against his chest.
“You look beautiful,” his voice murmurs against her ear. Hero shudders, her eyes flying up to meet his gaze through the mirror. Her lips press into a thin line. Don’t do this to me. Villain’s arm tightens around her. “Absolutely ravishing.”
“Don’t lie,” Hero leans back into him, allowing her head to rest against his shoulder. “White was never my colour. Good thing I don’t own this dress.” She shrugs, her tone a tad too impassive for his liking.
Villain lets out a light chuckle, yet his sharp eyes remain pained. He wouldn’t give a damn what she wore if only it was him with her. “It’s something borrowed then?”
“What?” Hero tilts her head to look at him, still wrapped in his arms. Her eyebrow raises quizzically, when he doesn’t loosen his hold. She hates the way his body fits against hers so well.
“You know how that thing goes? Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Villain lists, not registering when his thumb starts rubbing soothing circles into her forearm.
She laughs, but it doesn’t reach her hazy brown eyes. Villain’s chest tightens as he watches her expression. He loved how her eyes would shine, and her nose would scrunch when she laughed with her full heart. How she laughed with him.
“I'm the old, and he's the new,” he explains, pausing to swallow the lump of emotions in his throat. “And since he gave you the borrowed dress, I figured it should be me that gives you something blue.”
Hero’s heart slams against her ribcage with a savage force. She wants to push him away, to yell at him, to demand for him to leave and never show his face again after how he abandoned her for idiotic reasons. Instead, her teeth sink into the inside of her cheek. “Oh?”
“Remember the time when I bought you a locket in the flea market?” Villain recalls, watching her breathing pattern go from frenzied to still. Hero goes rigid in his arms, her irises blown wide, not daring to take a breath in for fear of losing it entirely. “Where did it go?”
“I- I must have lost it,” her voice is small, words tumbling off her lips almost unconsciously.
“Feels symbolic, don’t you think?” Villain’s hands leave her body as he pulls the locket with a blue stone embedded in its ornaments out of his pocket. He moves her hair to the side and fastens the clasp, his fingers brushing against the side of her neck in a tender touch. He gulps, his darkened eyes locking onto the reflection of her watering ones. “Like losing your love and having to watch it.”
He can’t stop himself as his head dips into the crook of her neck, eyebrows furrowing when his lips leave a lingering kiss against her bare shoulder, sending a chill of goosebumps along her spine.
Hero lets out a shaky exhale, averting her eyes from the mirror. She hates that he is here. She hates that he’s wearing a black suit with a white shirt. She hates that he looks dashing, too. She hates how perfect they look together. She hates how he could… “It’s cold for a wedding, isn’t it?”
Villain withdraws despite his reluctance, his fingers twitching to take hold of her again until he wraps his arm around her waist. “Are your feet getting cold?” He attempts to sound lighthearted, but the quiver of his voice gives it all away.
Hero shakes her head, her dejected expression wrenching Villain’s heart in a way he didn’t think possible before. “They were never warm in the first place.”
He doesn’t know how to take that. He doesn’t know how to take any of this anymore. It feels like the sky is shattering over his head, burying him alive.
“There's something I must confess,” Hero whispers as if saying it louder would mar the sanctity of the cathedral walls. She disentangles from Villain’s arms, stepping towards the door as Canon in D begins playing. “I wish it was you instead.”
She offers him one last glance before stepping out the door, a trembling hand clasped over her mouth to keep the sobs raking through her body from escaping.
Her words echo in Villain’s mind like a tocsin as he rushes through the doors, only to catch a glimpse of her as she begins walking down the aisle. He walks in, remaining at the doors as she reaches the altar. He knows he should wait on the priest to give him the time to speak, but his stomach is in knots, adrenaline rushing through his blood like a fire ready to burn the damn church down.
Dearly beloved, we're gathered here today…
“To watch a big mistake,” Villain’s voice booms through the nave of the cathedral, reflecting off of the vault and spilling down onto the guests’ heads, which snap to stare at him as he steps forward.
“I'm not gonna hold my peace,” Villain meets Hero’s tormented gaze, her throat closing in as she sees his face contorted in a mixture of pain and desperation. “I’m not gonna…” He pauses, his breath hitching when the flames reach his chest, burning a hole through his lungs. “What I mean to say is, my feelings haven't changed.”
Hero’s blood runs cold. She’s frozen in place, watching him approach her with an unreadable expression while her groom growls something in her ear with a displeased expression. For better or for worse, Villain can’t hear what he’s saying to her.
He knows coming here today was a bad idea. Watching Hero today was supposed to desecrate whatever was left of his heart, to wreck the shrine of her in his chest, to utterly and wholly rip him apart.
But...
But then she takes his hand, meeting his pleading gaze as tears brim her eyes. Villain brings her hand up, pressing it to his lips before pulling her towards him as they sprint down the aisle. He leads her out through the same back door he came through and along narrow sidestreets away from the crowded square. By the time her groom stops throwing a fit, Hero is in Villain’s car as he drives them out of the city, his hand still clutching hers tightly. He brings it up to his lips again, turning to look at Hero, cast in the afternoon sun. She looks otherworldly with her hair down, playing in the wind.
“White is absolutely your colour,” he mutters softly, his eyes darting down to his shirt on her, her dress left somewhere along the road.
Hero snorts, shaking her head as she shifts closer, leaning her head on his shoulder, her hand in his tight hold. He still can’t wrap his head around the events of the day, but he can lace his fingers through hers. He can kiss the tip of her nose and make her scrunch it as she giggles. He can kiss her smiling lips over and over again. He can pull her into his chest and hold her close to his heart.
Villain will be damned if he lets go again.

AU Bot Plot: Can't Waste a Good Party
Tumblr media
It was a disastrous wedding. Katara had been dubious about accepting a catering job for her older brother's college friend's wedding, having been warned by so many other wedding vendors never to work for friends and family. She thought it would be fine since she'd never actually met Zuko, and his insanely rich family had offered her a generous bonus on top of her full fee. It had been hard to turn down, especially since her business was still so new.
The wedding, Sokka had told his sister, was between Zuko and his off again/on again girlfriend, Mai. Privately, Sokka had told Katara, he wasn't thrilled that Zuko was marrying a woman Sokka had dubbed an emotional succubus, but Mai's father owned a company that Zuko's father wanted closer professional ties to. Hence why Ozai Kaji was spending a fortune on his son's wedding. Katara thought it was a bit antiquated use an arranged marriage that way, but it was none of her business as long as the check cleared. And it did.
Now Katara was glad that she'd added a no refunds clause to her contract. The bride hadn't shown up. No call; no note; no friend to tell Zuko and the gathered families what happened. She just didn't show up. And poor Zuko was left standing at the altar looking hurt, embarrassed and confused while around him the guests were in an uproar.
Sokka, proving himself the right choice for best man, snuck Zuko out the back while Ozai and Mai's father, Ukano shouted back and forth about what this meant for their business ventures. The wedding was taking place at a sprawling resort hours away from anyone's home, so leaving wasn't really an option that night. Sokka had made a call, a few guests who'd been sat in the back row snuck out as the warring families hurled insults and abuses back and forth. No one else had even thought of the reception yet.
Katara took no convincing, and with the wedding planner still tied up at the ceremony venue, there was no one to stop a party from happening. Sokka and Zuko's uncle, Iroh, convinced the jilted groom that he needed to eat, and there was no sense in letting good food go to waste. Iroh had offered to sponsor the bar that evening as a wedding present, and saw no need to change that plan, though now he paid the venue owner to keep out anyone else from the wedding unless he or Sokka said they could come in. They had some serious bucking up to do that evening.
"I'm sorry this happened to you, man," Sokka was saying as he pressed a glass of whiskey into Zuko's hand. "But I've gotta tell ya, I always thought Mai was wrong for you. She was so mean! I couldn't understand why you put up with her. Father or no."
"Sokka's right," said Suki. "I know you kept saying she made you happy, but all you two ever talked about was how miserable you were."
"I never said I was miserable," Zuko protested. "I said we hate the same things."
"Oh, and that's such a healthy foundation for a marriage," Suki snorted.
"Well, we can't all be you two," Zuko waved between Sokka and Suki. "So grossly into each other."
"Oh, trust me," Suki raised her brow at Zuko. "You and Mai were plenty gross." Zuko scowled at his friends, and then slumped back into his seat with a groan.
"I'll never find anyone else," he said. "Mai was the only one who would even consider marrying me."
"You'll find someone else," Sokka promised. "Dude, you're a total catch! Suki, back me up."
"You are an absolute hottie," Suki affirmed. "If I wasn't madly in love with Sokka, I'd take a run at you myself."
"Alright, that's enough!" Sokka tossed a crumpled napkin at Suki.
"What?" Suki laughed. "I was just cheering him up."
"I'm glad you two are able to find things to laugh about," Zuko cut in. "It's not like my life is falling apart or anything."
"Sorry, man," Sokka said, patting Zuko's back. "We're just trying to help."
"Then let me go back to the hotel," Zuko snapped.
"It's better to lay low here," Sokka insisted. "Iroh's got the front door covered, so none of your crazy family can get in. If you go back to the hotel, everyone's going to be hounding you. We've got a party of ten here with no crazy aunts or in-laws or fathers. We've got food, we've got booze. Once Jin figures out how to connect her phone to the sound system, we'll have all the sad music you want." Sokka looked around conspiratorially and then whispered to Zuko. "Plus, I have it on good authority that Jin might be happier than most that your wedding got cancelled, if you know what I mean."
"Sokka," Suki chided.
"What, baby?" he looked at Suki with wide eyes. "I didn't say you told me."
"Sokka!"
"What's my brother done now?"
"Hey! Here's the world's greatest chef!" Sokka cheered. "Is dinner ready or what?"
"I was just coming to let you know we'll be setting it out soon. I'm sorry it wasn't ready. I was anticipating more time." Zuko turned to say something, but then he froze.
"It's fine," Suki said quickly. "The appetizers are delicious."
"And the bar's open, so we're all good," Sokka said. Katara raised her brow at her brother.
"I see," she said. Then she turned to Zuko with what she hoped was a professionally sympathetic face. "I'll get the food set up, and then I'll be out of your way."
"You can stay," Zuko said hurriedly. He ducked his head and shrugged. "If you want. It's...it's not like you need to work the reception anymore."
"I don't want to intrude," Katara started.
"No, stay!" Suki insisted. "You've worked hard. You deserve a break. Right, Zuko?"
"Yeah, sis!" Sokka pressed. "Join the party! Zuko just dodged a nuclear missile. We need to fill him with booze and food and cake until he recognizes this was a good thing."
"Sokka!" Katara gasped. She rolled her eyes and turned to Zuko. "I apologize for my brother. He was taught better, but I guess it didn't stick."
"It's fine," Zuko said. "And it's fine if you stay."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" Suki said, pulling out the seat between her and Zuko.
