Pink Academia Matured Archetypes

Don't get me wrong, my heart belongs to the preppy schoolgirl look, BUT sometimes situations call for a different vibe. Here are some archetypes that I'm identifying that can apply to Pink Acadmia and give a different twist of fashion inspiration.

1. The Lawyer- inspired by Elle Woods and the ladies of Suits, The Lawyer pushes the power suit into a new and creative direction. They let their personality shine and that’s how they win their case. Outfits are structured, office-ready, and practical for the workplace but they also have a pop of pink- not just the colour, but the energy.

2. The Editor- inspired by Devil Wears Prada, Ugly Betty, and maybe a little 13 Going on 30, The Editor is in control of the situation and knows that they are the most powerful in the room- and they look great doing it. Outfits are sophisticated and sexy

3.The Princess- not in a Royaltycore way, but in a Diana or Meghan way. The Princess is soft and demure, yet casual and pseudo-masculine. They are ready for action but always wearing something that fits perfectly so as to look sleek and elegant, even when getting their hands dirty.

I hope this provides a different angle try out for PA inspiration! Personally, my heart sings for the schoolgirl look, but I’m trying to evolve a bit as I get older too, so I might try the ocasional look inspired by these archetypes too. Let me know if there are any other ideas you can think of to push the boundaries!

A Playlist for Obiyuki Winter Challenge 2023 by @snowwhite-andtheknight

Used a similar strategy as last year’s winter challenge, with lyric mash-ups of the three themes, including a few new Matt Pond songs and songs that I remembered too late to include in playlists this year. The Jimmy and Motion City songs are mostly these playlist b-sides, interpreting Dark Academia as dark winter vibes that would have fit in my college and vampire Obi playlists from earlier this year.
