Tuesday
Gabriela was out of the house a lot due to her job, so she insisted on having a family breakfast every morning before everybody left the house.
David's brother Andy came over and Genesis let him in. Gabriela said, she would like Andy, that he was just as handsome as David, but Genesis couldn't agree. Andy was a huge bore - and he was dating his land lady!
David: Great you're here, bro! Today's Josue's birthday, you know, Gabby's boy. Could you help me prepare something for it, you know, as Gabby is at work...
Maribel brought one of the Rotspatz boys home with her for Josue's birthday and the young one invited his best friend Isaiah over too.
Isaiah: So good I won't have to bend down to hug you in a few hours!
Josue: So glad you still came while I'm still just a kid!
Isaiah: Sure, wouldn't miss my best friend's birthday!
Then it's time to blow out the candles!
Despite everything, Josue grows up well. He follows his Mama's path as a Fortune Sim, developing the habit of being some kind of Mooch and he likes buff Sims with a flawless reputation and natural faces.
Josue is glad with his new looks.
David: They grow so fast, don't they?
Gabriela: Yeah, what a relief. It's good to see them getting independent.
David's face fell for a second. Seeing the blister of pink pills on the night stand he remembered that Gabriela took them religiously every morning before crawling out of bed.

Sebastian hated his father, he truly hated him. He had been a tyrant ever since Seb was a little boy and he would probably never stop being a menace in his life. Still he couldn't help but always do whatever he demanded of him. Caesar had wanted that Seb go a job - so he had gotten a job. He had even gotten the exact job that Caesar had chosen for his great heir.
Seb knew that he was just a disappointment for his father. But he was also disappointed in his mother Judith. It's been years since she stepped between her son and husband. It was like she was living in her own world ever since. He never saw his parents talking, much less exchange endearments. Sometimes Seb wondered if his love life was as crazy as it was because of the way his parents treated each other. Or the way they had treated him.
It was always a great relief for Sebastian when the deafening sound of his father's helicopter was to be heard from outside. This mean he was away for another trip.
Seb enjoyed the afternoons when he was home alone. But over the last couple of days he had noticed a strange lady roaming around the house.
Sebastian: So, I want you to have a close eye on the front door. We can't know what this person is up to. She was armed with a broom. Maybe she's behind my father, who knows. I wouldn't mind him getting beaten by an old Lady, but I don't want reporters outside our house.
Butler: Of course, Master Sebastian!
That evening Hadley suddenly stood in front of their house. It was a bummer that she had gotten pregnant, but he was sure this wasn't something that could be dealt with.
Sebastian: Hey Baby! You never made your way up here. It's better, my parents don't lay eyes on you.
Hadley: Actually, I'm not here for you, Seb. I want to talk to your father.
Sebastian: My... my father? What is this about?
Hadley: Is he at home?
Sebastian had a bad feeling about this, but he lead his lover to his father's private rooms and Caesar was ready to welcome her.
Caesar: So my son told me your name is Hadley Wentworth and you want to see me? What is this about Miss Wentworth?
Hadley: See Mr. Rafferty. I've been seeing your son for quite a while now and just so it happened, that I'm now pregnant, with twins, of all times too.
Caesar: Stop, stop, stop. Who are you to just come to my rooms and tell me you're pregnant by my son. Doesn't he have the guts to tell this to me in person?
Hadley: Apparently not, Mr. Rafferty. Look I'm afraid your son has other plans for me and our children, but I'm not willing to take his bullshit. I want him to marry me, make our children legitimate heirs of his. I don't care if he'll be faithful after marriage, as long as he doesn't expect the same form me, but I demand my place in your family.
Caesar: How dare you demand such a thing of me? Am illegitimate child is no disgrace anymore and of course the twins will be considered in my will - should they really be Sebastian's! But you can't blackmail me with something stupid my son did.
Hadley: Well, what if I tell you, that your son also banged my sister AND my mother? I'm pretty sure the press might be interested in THAT information.
Caesar: He... what? I - give me a few minutes with my son please.
Hadley: Now you're talking my language...
Hadley: Oi, Seb, your old man wants to talk to you! Is that bowl mac'n'cheese for me? I'm eating for three, you know?!
Some minutes later, Sebastian called Hadley back upstairs.
Sebastian: Hadley, I know you are pregnant, but why did you ask my father to tell me to marry you? You know me, I'm not the person that does commitment. I promise I'll take care of you and the babies. If you want money-
Hadley: I don't just want the money Seb. I want the status. I'm having your twins. Don't you think I deserve that?
Of course he thought that Hadley deserved it. Maybe she even was his favorite girlfriend. They could still be the same people after getting married. It wouldn't be that bad to have her and his children living with him. His mother wasn't getting any younger and having his own little family..? That didn't sound actually too bad. So he decided to go with the plan. Even if he had that nagging feeling of doing something terribly wrong.
Hadley: Good night Baby, I'm really exhausted now. I'll tell Momma you said Hi, okay?
The nagging feeling of doing something terribly wrong was going strong in Sebastian's head.

Cord knew that his wife was going through a difficult phase. She didn't want to move Holly over to the Group House. When would she finally understand that this was the only possibility for a girl like her? She wasn't like the watcher wanted her to be. She was full of sin and would drag their youngest Brinam into her sinful behaviors too, if she continued to live with them. When would she finally understand?
Cherry knew that Cord was right, he was always right. But Holly was her baby... her beautiful little baby girl...
Ash hated how he was dragged into all of this. His dad said that Holly wasn't normal and that she couldn't live with them because of it. But he was so confused. So confused that he needed to write everything down. When Dad found out he would be mad, so he hid the notebook under Holly's bed.
Cherry hated how Cord always invited all those people over. Everyone but Holly...
And that night the family got another setback: The results of Ash's college applications came in - and weren't satisfying. He was declined from all three universities.
Esmee: Listen boy, going to college is totally overrated. Back in MY youth, nobody went to college, believe me...
When the guests finally left, Cherry felt like she couldn't breath anymore. She just - she just needed something to calm her nerves. She knew Cord hated it but he was upstairs fixing a broken sink. He wouldn't see her wouldn't notice. Just one quick sip and she'd be okay again, right?
Three glasses later Cord's cutting voice threw Cherry off.
Cord: Cherry! You told me you wouldn't drink anymore! Di- did you empty half of the bottle while I was upstairs? Cherry, that was half an hour? Have you even though about the boys? Do you want that kind of mother for them? Set such a horrible example for them.
No, Cherry didn't want to be a horrible example. But she just couldn't help it...

The sisters were always up way before sunset. And as Desiree had promised to her daughter, her and Esmee too care of the little problem with Officer Esmeralda Stone.
Elvira was alone in the mornings as Kathy went to work early and her mom and aunt wouldn't come out of their strange locked room before she went to school. The bus came as she played with her fishes and took her to the prestigious private school her an all her relatives attended.
Esmee: Hurry up sister! Tomoko is in town for her Tai Chi lesson!
So the sisters flew over to the old abandoned building that once held a company. They would soon meet up with Tomoko Kato, a befriended witch from Nekojima.
But Tomoko was late once again and so the sisters occupied themselves with the little amenities the lot had to offer.
After dealing with a couple of impertinent men, Tomoko finally arrived and the Tai Chi lesson could start
Esmee: Good to see you, Tomoko. It's a shame you made us wait again, but we're all looking forward to the lesson.
Tomoko: Oh, you know, the flight was horrible. the weather, the weather! The weather over the ocean is always unpredictible! By the way, we have a new member today: This is Daytona, she's the mayor of Widespot, you might have heard of her?
Desiree: A mayor? What an honor to meet you!
Esmee: Can we now please start!
Katelyna was home before her mother and aunt, she didn't know where they went, but she knew that they left the house almost every day together.
The sisters would be home at 14:30 straight, so that Esmee could fix lunch for Elvira. Even if the girl usually had already eaten at school.
That evening, Esmee had just helped Elvira with her homework and sent er to her room, the phone rang...
Esmee: Rotspatz?
??: Desiree, is that you?
Esmee: No, it's me, Esmee. Caesar, is that you?
Caesar: Of course, who else? It's time we finally stop this charade! Katelyna has a right to know I am her father! I want her in my life!
Esmee: You forfeit your right to be in her life the moment you dumped my sister! Stop calling Rafferty! None of us will ever allow Katalyna to meet you!
With that she hung up without accepting another word of Caesar Rafferty.
Katalyna heard her name from the kitchen. Her aunt tried to act normal, but she knew something was going on. Caesar Rafferty, could that really be?
When her aunt and mother went to bed, Katalyna stayed up for a long time and watched the ghosts that roamed the garden. It was quiet that night, no incidents happened. Katalyna couldn't stop thinking about what she had heard that night. Caesar Rafferty was a horrible man, or so much she was taught by her mother. Was this all not about his politics but about a personal feud between them? Katelyna made a horrible presumption...

Adam was the proudest father anyone had ever seen. Watching little Zahara just be a happy little girl made him happy too. Remembering the horrible home she came from and seeing the future that had awaited her in the system (he knew that "Group Home" well enough!) He was just too happy to be the family she deserved.
Flora had to work that day, but since they didn't want to give Zahara to a nanny that soon, Adam had taken a day off, so it was him that greeted the strange combination of people that wanted to congratulate him and his wife on the adoption. Being a(n in)famous politician came with it's perks.
Esmee: Aren't you just the cutest little thing? I sure hope these people will treat you the way you deserve it!
When Flora came home that day after work, she had a co-worker with her. She had been feeling off the whole day and Dr. Yang had insisted to take her home.
Parker: You should lay down Flora. And maybe take that test as Gabriela suggested.
Flora: It's impossible that I'm pregnant! The doctors told me I couldn't have kids of my own.
Parker: Gabriella also though it'd be impossible that she was expecting, yet she now has little Litzy!
Flora: Okay, I'll think about it. Thank you for the ride, Parker.
Flora took the test that the pharmacist had put into her coat after throwing up after lunch. But instead to waiting for the results and looking at it, she threw it in the trash can and decided to do some star gazing before it was Zahara's bed time.
Flora sure loved Zahara and she was more than happy to have the little girl with them. Yet it was harder for her to bond with her daughter than it was for Adam. Maybe for men it was easier to accept an adopted baby. Women were designed to carry their child with them for month. They knew their baby when it was just a clump of cells. They didn't have to "meet" their child. With an adopted kid it was different. But Flora kept those thoughts to herself.

Tuesday
On Tuesday both cousins went to school again, so they wouldn't risk a visit from the social service - nobody could know two underaged boy were allowed to live alone in that huge house by their relatives - and they both brought home some classmates, siblings even.
While Maribel Montes was a kind and cheerful person, her younger brother Josue was a bit of a grump. He didn't believe that Isaiah's mother was a witch and said, that stuff like that doesn't exist.
At the end of the day, the cousins befriended the Montes siblings and made them stay over until dinnertime. Isaiah and Josue were still upstairs jumping on the big bed the boy was sleeping in.
Maribel: Did your brother really mean that - that witch-thing?
Isaac: Well, he shouldn't talk about it, so it's probably better when I say , no, he made that up. By the way, he's not my brother, we're cousins...
Maribel: Um okay... Wow, that sounds eerie to me.
Isaac: A lot of things in our family are eerie. I'm sorry I dragged you into this. It's best we don't talk to each other, ever again...
Maribel: Wow, not so fast! You made friends with me, and I know exactly one person outside of my family in Emerald Heights so far. So you'll have to stick with me for better or worse.
Isaac: *laughs* That's really nice of you. But it's getting dark, I think it's better when you and Josue leave now.
Josue: Isaiah has such a big bed! Just like Mom and Aunt Genesis! Can I have one like that too?
Maribel: When you're older. Come on Enanito, we should go home, it's getting late.

Monday
The cousins Isaac and Isaiah just started living together in their uncle Simon's old estate. They both were insecure about what had happened in their family, but Isaac, the elder boy, tried his best to make Isaiah's life as comfortable as possible in this big hostile house. On days like this they ditched school and spend the day with things that made them happy.
Isaac was a nurturing personality and told himself he'd be a good "big brother" to Isaiah. The boy had been neglected by his mother, who had only had eyes for her daughter Elvira.
But Isaac struggled with his own demons. Having lost his parents and his uncle with whom he had been very close in such a short time had left him deeply wounded and irritated.
Isaiah on the other hand felt irritated by the sudden interest his mother showed in him. Suddenly she wanted to know how he was doing, if he was eating well, how school went, things a normal mother would ask her son. But Esmee had never asked Isaiah anything, not before he left to live with his cousin. Isaiah wasn't sure if he wanted that sudden motherly attention but he tried to enjoy the calls they made.
Isaiah permitted Isaac from going outside at night. He knew this house was just as haunted as the one his aunts and cousins lived in. At night he could see them. But the ghosts in his backyard weren't as malicious as the ones in the main house.

Rotspatz II:
Isaac didn't like living all by his own in a creepy old mansion. But one day, he saw his cousin Isaiah knocking on the door, asking him to move in. Isaiah felt neglected by his mother. That's why he decided to move in with his cousin. Isaac kindly accepted him and promised to take good care of him. But the house is full of ghosts! Is it really a good place for two anxious children?
Isaac can't believe that so many relatives died in such a short time frame. He inherited this house from his uncle Simon. They used to have a good relationship. Isaac misses him a lot. But something makes him feel uncomfortable. Something bad will happen to Elvira if he doesn't rescue her. He can feel it.

Wednesday
The next morning before school, Elvira finally convinced her mother to come out of her room and play with her.
But when the girls had left for school and work, the sisters got right back on her brooms to fly off to the abandoned railway station. They had found a note in their mail box to be there in the morning and they had an idea, who summoned them there.
They waited for a long time when nothing happened. Passing their time, Esmee and Desiree waited for something - anything - to happen.
Then a Rafferty appeared, but not the one they expected...
Judith: Mrs. Rotspatz, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I see you also have your sister in tow, but I feel that she would be too emotional about the topic, so we should discuss things. I want to make things short: I don't appreciate that my husband wants to contact his daughter with you sister. He's getting sentimental over his old days but this could ruin our reputation. I'm positive I can reckon on you to support my point of view?
Esmee: This is nothing I would discuss with YOU! Of course we don't want Caesar near Katalyna, but I don't give a damn about your reputation! Caesar that coward, won't he show up himself? Call him over, I want to say it right to his face that he's a god damn bastard!
Judith: B-but Mrs. Rotspatz!
Esmee: Summon him right now or I will! But I can't promise he'll be in one piece as my powers aren't as powerful when I'm away from my cauldron!
Judith was quite bedazzled by the conversation but she managed to call her husband at home.
Esmee: You need to be strong now, sister. He's there.
Caesar: What's all this fuss about? You really want to hold that fight here, Desiree, in public with all those witnesses?
They picked a horrible quarrel where none of them backed away from their point of view. Caesar demanded that Katelyna would be told the truth and Desiree told him that she would never let her daughter near him or any of his relatives. The situation was pointless and finally Judith dragged her husband into a cap and Esmee shoved her sister's broom into Desiree's hand.
Esmee: Let's go home, sister, Elvira will be back from school soon.
Meanwhile back at home, Katelyna had had a great day at work and was rewarded with a promotion. Eager to climb the ladder of success, she instantly started working on the next promotion by working on her logic skill.
Esmee and Desiree were distracted by the day's happenings and stayed in their rooms for the whole day. Esmee was inspired to continue her novel, while Desiree just lay on her bed and stared at the ceiling.
Katelyna knew something was off, but she didn't care. She would get out of here soon. As soon as she reached level 5 of her career, she would move out of this silly, old, haunted house... And then she would find her father.

Rotspatz I - Monday
Elvira really feels like her cousin Katelyna, or simply Kathy how she calls her since she's a toddler, is really the only person that cares for her.
Little does she know that her aunt and mother are fighting their very own demons and that they tend to forget their children about...
Desiree is a little satisfied when the paper delivery girl (she's a transfer student from Nekojima) brings the paper so she can solve her beloved crossword puzzle.
Esmee is determined to bring the truth about their horrible mayor to the lights. She can't write the whole story down just now but she starts with writing down her sister's tragic love story, with changed names and under a pseudonym of course.
Katelyna isn't much of a people's person. She tells the gardener to leave before he can enter the lot, there's nothing to be done in this heat anyway and shoos a strange guy that is roaming their porch (blabbering something about a garden club. Guess that damn gardening company sold their data to some over-expensive socienty, huh?)
Only when it's about cats her soft side comes out. She's even willing to let the mob of people enter the lot that demand to speak to her mother and aunt.
Esmeralda: I'm 100% sure the groundwater slumped because of the oil they are pumping in the north east! They are pumping since 20 years and back when the field was found it was said, the field would only last for about 10 to 15 years. Something can't be right about that! So me and my husband have founded the initiative "Close the Oil field now!" and we wanted to ask, if you and your family would be interested in joining us.
Desiree was truly considering it. It had been Caesar's doing that the oil was being pumped in Emerald Heights and his contract with a large company had made him mayor all those years ago.
She also talked to the other members of the initiative but quickly felt like she was more enthusiastic about bringing Caesar Rafferty to a fall than they were.
Katelyna: My mother told me, to ask you, to stay for dinner. Not that I care. Will you stay or won't you?
They decided to stay, it was a soup that ran in the family as long as some other secrets and the guests really enjoyed it. After the sun set, an eerie atmosphere filled the lot, the lights threw strange shadows and the paintings started to glow strangely.
David: Well, thank you for dinner, Miss Rotspatz, but I think we should leave now - ahem - It's getting quiet later.
Katelyna: Yeah, maybe you should really leave now. It can be dangerous around here.
Esmeralda had no idea what her strange neighbor was referring to. Her colleagues kept the area save as no second one of Emerald Heights. But when she left the house through the back door, she suddenly felt like she couldn't trust her eyes anymore.
This couldn't be true, could it?
Katelyna: The cop saw our ancestors. I don't know if she really believed her eyes or though it was a phantasm.
Desiree: Don't you worry too much about that. Your aunt and I will take care about that in the morning. She will remember nothing at all. Sleep now.
And Katelyna obliged as she had for all of her life.
