boys are so weird and gross bc i was talking to one and he was just like super intense and like right off the bat being kinda fboy-ish and he was like "since we're already soulmates like you said why don't we skip the romancing and get straight to the 9 months" like what

and so i lied and was like "hey haha i'm still hung up on my ex" to get him off me

and then i went to snapping this other guy i share some interests with like hiking and traveling and he's been super sweet and i was showing him my fav fit cuz we got to talking abt it and there's one pic of me in it where i'm like facing to the side with my leg up like the lil ootd pose yk?? and he was like "lol totally not staring at that one of you backwards" like just say you're looking at my butt + boobs despite talking to me for only 1 day and move on

but he's still kinda nice like "i enjoy talking to you Lilly :)" and way better than the other one but idk if him being rich and getting his pilot license is enough to combat his weird flirting, mid talking skills, and avg face

but like it's also nice to get some attention instead of pining for the boy that doesn't look at me often and talks to me even less and doesn't ever interact w me on social media even tho he's the only one i'm actually interested in

Being in real life love with a real life person is so insanity inducing but not in a straight up bad or good way. And I was never taught how to properly express complex emotions so it's driving me even more insane than it probably should.

What do you MEAN there aren't universal guidelines to love bc it's a complicated thing everyone experiences differently? I want a manual that can magically know exactly how to guide me through every possible romantic and romance adjacent situation DAMMIT!

How does it feel to have feelings for someone? Bc I've been going on dates with this girl and it's been so much fun and she's pretty and smart and kind and I just don't know if I have feelings for her? Like how am I supposed to know when I've never experienced that before

I'm 26 and this is the first person I've been on multiple dates with and while I've technically kissed before it was never in a romantic situation it was drunk friends at parties and just a peck on the lips

Y'all ever think about how children's media is the only media to really put priority to friendship (ex: the power of friendship) and how once you grow up media starts to shift towards a focus on romantic love and sexual relationships and how that kind of puts out this idea that valuing friendship is a childish thing you need to grow out of and replace with romance and sex cause I do.
